I took my dad here for severe back pain on Sept. 19, 2024. He was seen at the appointed time, and the care he got was exceptional. FNP Rick was very knowledgeable and competent. He answered all of my dad’s questions and put his mind at ease about the possibility of a more serious issue. Rick prescribed medication that alleviated my dad’s pain without any unpleasant side effects. Five-star service!

Dr. Mullis went way above and beyond meeting our expectations during our visit. Took my teenage daughter in with a very sore throat. Positive past history for tonsillitis treated by ENT. She did not have tonsillitis this time. But Dr. Mullis talked through the possible culprits! Did not say “virus” and “nothing we can do”! Honestly wish we could see Dr. Mullis with all of our healthcare concerns! Loved our experience with him and his nurse!

I have never had a bad experience at the 4304 Park Road location. Regardless to the center being empty or having patients waiting the professional trained and certified medical assistants not receptionist have always been pleasant, polite and professional at all times. They were great with my children who are usually afraid of these types of facilities. Awesome job guys keep up the great work. Will highly recommend to family and friends.

Service was quick and good, but they told me I would get a 40% discount if everything paid out of pocket was paid that day and when I went to check out they told me I was good to go. I checked MyChart for my balance and there was nothing. 3 days later I get a notification from MyChart saying I have a bill ready and it’s the full price without the discount that I tried to pay that day.

I feel bad writing a negative review because the provider was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant, and the facility was comfortable and clean. However, the nurse who checked us in and took vitals was very rude to my autistic six year old daughter. The nurse acted annoyed with her from the beginning and was very short tempered. She then refused to do a finger prick that the provider ordered for mono testing because my daughter was crying and scared. I understand working with young children can be difficult, especially neurodivergent children, but I do expect a professionalism. She made no effort to talk through what was about to be done and did not give me the opportunity to calm my child. Instead she repeatedly said “I’m not doing this” and walked out visibly irritated. I am unsure if it is ignorance or ableism, but this was the worst experience I have had with a Novant urgent care for any of my children over the last 10 years. I sincerely hope no other family has this experience.

The staff of nurses were friendly. The doctor was efficient. The visit was quick.

Best UC i’ve been here in charlotte, clean the staff eve though i know she’s overwhelmed she still nice Dr. Mullis is very professional at what he does so is i believe Cristina the PA shes very good too.No wait time at all, well i have always reserved my spot before coming in for faster visit.Over all very nice UC for sure! 👍🏼

I went through the steps to save my spot online at the Park Rd location. When I was verifying my info online, it kept freezing on the insurance page. I was very sick when I walked in.The receptionist/CMA acted totally put out with me. She said I had to complete the registration online. I sat down, tried again. Still would not work. I walked to her desk for help. She sighed outloud, put her hands on her face and ignored me for about 10 seconds. I saw the company statement online that said if you cant complete registration, come on in and well take care of you. I did NOT feel taken care of by her! She finally registered me, took my payment and said Well get you when were ready. She was NOT welcoming, NOT compassionate and made me feel like I was bothering her. I was sick with covid and a splitting headache and was very dismayed when she was the CMA to take me back and process my visit. She didnt say anything to me in the room except Ill swab you. I had to look at monitor to see what my Vitals were as she was just silent and operating on rote. On the contrary, the Provider, Kristina Sapek, was excellent, very knowledgeable and explained everything well. As a recently retired Novant Health clinic administrator, that receptionist/CMA would never have stayed on staff! There should be NO tolerance for that behavior in your clinics, especially when you mainly deal with sick people! You can look up her name by who processed my intake and Vitals.

As a visitor from South Africa, I had anticipated a certain standard of communication and service during my visit to Novant Health, 4304 Park Rd, Charlotte, NC. First of all, I had to wait about four hours before seeing the doctor. The receptionists could not add my South African contact details to the system as the system does not allow it, so I ended up giving them the address of family in the US. Now, I am embarrassed as my family is receiving bills in the mail, despite me being told that I paid for the visit in full on the day by the receptionist.Furthermore, I am deeply disappointed in the lack of professionalism and the attitude of indifference of the receptionists on the day I visited. They failed to provide comprehensive information regarding the costs involved in my visit. Despite me repeatedly asking them on the day about what the total costs of the visit would involve, they neglected to disclose crucial details, leaving me with a misleading impression of the expenses incurred.I have emailed Novant Health billing department numerous times trying to sort this out, and they refused to budge on the amount that I owe them. Please note that I did not have any additional tests done or did not receive any additional services on the day. In the end, I settled the outstanding amount related to my visit. However, I must express my profound disappointment in the circumstances that led to this payment. My decision to settle the outstanding amount was not borne out of acceptance, but rather out of frustration and exhaustion in attempting to rectify what I perceive as unjust treatment.I urge Novant Health to consider implementing more rigorous training for your staff to ensure that instances like these are not repeated. The level of service demonstrated falls short of the standards one would expect, particularly in a healthcare setting in the United States. This is the kind of service and unfortunate circumstances one would expect in Africa, not in the US. You should be better!

Dr was friendly knew what to do very professional and took care of my problems quickly and was on my way all set. Highly recommend this clinic

Charged $350 to be pressured to take a flu test (knew it wasn’t the flu) and have my height/weight measured and told to go home and buy allergy medicine, all I wanted was my cough addressed (still coughing a month later). When people say the medical system is broken, this is what they’re talking about.

Clean facility, professional, friendly and efficient staff.I set an appointment on their website before I arrived. Its not crowded at the Park Rd location so I was seen by the PA quickly.

The staff was friendly and thorough. I had little wait time. I highly recommend this Urgent Care.

Professional, friendly staff who helped me with insurance questions and checking in for my appointment. The office was clean and well organized. Dr. Mullis was thorough with a wonderful beside manner, addressed my health concerns and made me feel at ease with the diagnosis and treatment plan.

Honestly I would give lower if I could.I came in on a Tuesday with aggressive pain in my left side, UTI symptoms, low grade fever, etc. I had recently just gotten over a UTI and received medication for it while I was on vacation but the antibiotic did not fully clear my infection.I went to this urgent care to seek relief and was highly disappointed. I was dismissed by one of the nurses who wasnt even on my care team, the Doctor was friendly but was zero help when it came to my pain saying it was unlikely I had a UTI and said my test came back negative. She said she could put me on meds but that she would not recommend if I was not ill (totally understand). My tests somehow were NEGATIVE which is insane because I had THREE different infections... I left, still in pain crying.I immediately followed up with an OBGYN who miraculously got me in the next day. Not even 12 hours between these appointments. I tested POSITIVE for a UTI, was told I had blood in my urine, also that it had moved to my kidneys so I ALSO had a kidney infection and to top it ALL OFF, I even tested positive for E. Coli.DO NOT come here unless you want to leave still sick. I have been on meds for a week thanks to my OBGYN and feel like a real human again.Oh and they called me 3 days later to say I did indeed test positive for a UTI and needed meds ASAP (I had already called their office saying that I knew I was sick and not to bother when the results came in) because at this point I had already been on meds thanks to my other doctor for 2 full days...

I wouldnt go back here. Three stars only because the nurse did her job and was so very kind. Without her, would be zero stars. The services they provide are extremely limited. There is no X-Ray - keep that in mind. They also refuse to treat conditions caused by car accidents. So dont tell them where your injury came from if you just want to see a doc!!!I went in for my scheduled time. The nurse was so very kind. I actually logged into my MyChart account to find her name and thank her, but they removed all record of me even being there! How crazy is that. They took vitals and everything and deleted it all!I mentioned that I wanted the doc to have a look at my ear. I was having ear pain after the accident and wanted to see if there was visible damage. Also was looking for a quick opinion on if any of my mild symptoms might need more attention.Get this - the nurse told the doc I was in a car accident. At first, they said I would need to be self pay to see the doc then. So, I said ok. I really wanted to see a doc. Nurse went back out. When she came back, the doc was still refusing to even come in the exam room. They told me just to go to the ER. I am not going to the ER for very mild concerns. Isnt that what urgent care is for? I dont know if it was Novant in general or just this place, but I would not go here for anything more than a simple antibiotic!!! Very worthless doc-in-the-box.

My visit to Novant Urgent Care on Park Road was wonderful. I did have an appointment, and was taken back within five minutes of my arrival. DrSapel has such a nice bedside manner and listened to my concerns. It was about 4:20 in the afternoon and she quickly referred me to get a chest x-ray at a Novant facility that closed at five. I was in and out in time to get the x-ray done. I highly recommend this facility to anyone that has urgent care needs.

Because I had registered before I got there it was easy to walk in. Confirm that I have pre-registered all the information was there for the receptionist my ID my insurance card was already scanned in. Made it very simple. The wait was short. I did have an appointment and Dr. Sameer was the consummate professional with great patient empathy.

The doctor was helpful and made an important diagnosis which was very helpful. However, the rest of the staff were not helpful and not compontent either. I live a mile away, and would never go back.

Unimpressed. Have been sick with a cold. Started getting better then it turned into bacterial infection, like it always does. Told the doctor I had a history of it turning bacterial, I had a history of it relapsing, even that I had been prescribed steroids in the past for it. She told me how antibiotics and steroids are over-prescribed and implied my previous doctor didnt know what she was doing. She was only willing to give me 5 days of antibiotics, because she didnt feel I needed them. 7 days later, my sinus infection is relapsing because I wasnt on antibiotics long enough. I feel like she didnt listen to me at all. Didnt ask me any medical history, just looked at what medication my regular doctor prescribed and made comments about those meds. She did not make me feel heard or valued as a patient. She was never rude, just acted like she didnt believe anything I told her.

The entire team was wonderful and Dr Mullis was on top of my issues.

I havent heard anything from this location sad I pray they get it together it was probably best the care would have been low rate i only use the best for my family thanks for preventing me from making a biggggg mistake.If you care about your health dont go here. Update**** I sent a request via the link submitted in their reply. Lets see how this goes. Will keep this review updated. I also forgot to advise while i was there keep in mind i had 3 appointments set for my children to be seen, since they refused two of my children care a father came in with his daughter maybe about 10 holding her eye needing to see a doctor. The front desk advised no available slots to see his daughter while refusing 2 on my choldren care sounds like 2 slots just opened.I asked about it and was provided a sad excused about other appointments. You also just had 2 per say cancelation sad sad sad. ***** There should never be a reason for a sick child to be refused service. Everyone dont have cash on hand. When did billing a person become obsolete? No payment plan option no nothing. Their moto PAY NOW OR KICK ROCKS. Sad world we live in. 😢

The PA pretty much blew me off. I have had the flu with severe coughing for 2 weeks and know my symptoms are better but she would only prescribe cough medication. My lungs appear clear but I had a chest CT scan for other issues and it came up with possible pneumonia. My family MD wrote me a RX for a antibiotic today. I am know 2 1/2 weeks of severe coughing and I should have been given an antibiotic.

So disappointed with my recent visit at this location. Unless they retrain Front Desk Staff to communicate better with their patients who are already feeling bad I will find another location. The Dr however was very professional & courteous.

Scheduling was easy. Dr Mullis was wonderful as he told me exactly what medications to use and how to administer them. Both the nurse and receptionist were professional and encouraging. Thank you for being there.

The staff at this Urgent Care has always been helpful and friendly and you can schedule online to easily avoid wait times. Whenever I’ve happened to walk in though the wait is reasonable.Dr. Mullis saved my finger from an infection that had been treated incorrectly while I was traveling. He performed the procedure to treat it in-office with care, and promptly. He was exceptionally kind and helpful and even called me the next day to check in on my progress. I was healing and feeling better within 48 hrs. I specifically visited this home location once I returned because I trusted the care here.

Dr. Mullis is a phenomenal physician! He was thorough, professional, and efficient. He reviewed everything with me in detail and answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed. The other office staff were great as well and kept me updated on my wait time throughout the visit.

Urgent Care isn’t what it used to be. I feel horrible :(. I took an Uber here and since I didn’t have an appointment, the next available “walk-in” was 4 hours later. I wouldn’t recommend trying to do a walk-in if you need care urgently. Make an appointment or at least call ahead to check the wait time for walk-ins to avoid disappointment.

Dr. Mullis is the best. He is patient to explain everything, not in rush. He treated patient with communicable diseases with respect which makes me feel warm and safe. Also the office is clean and bright. Check in is easy and fast. Thank you doctor and staffs! Happy holidays!

I was amazed at how well my physician listened. I had complex social issues, complicating a relatively mild medical problem, and he took it seriously. I was very carefully examined, he took a very thorough history and testing was rapid and appropriate. I got better so quickly on his therapy, I wanted to go back and thank him

Not helpful, not taken seriously. The staff were all at the front desk talking about how to hide your number so you can text someone who blocked you. Meanwhile I waited for half an hour (already in a room and was at my appointment on time) and was the only person there. When i was finally seen the PA (not a doctor) saw me for less than 2 minutes and didnt even help with my issue. I dont know if they are underpaid or just dont care but Im contacting my insurance and cardholder to make sure I get my money back.

What I like most was how efficiently my laceration was treated without a lot of extra tests. It was a very streamlined experience. I believe the staff and providers were very competent

I dont name of the lady at the front desk, however she turned my son and I away stating his insurance was inactive. Low and behold I ran to medicaid and they assured me his insurance was good! I must add I asked for medicaid number and she laughed! Then said only way I can a doctor if I had co pay.. I dont know if it was the color of my skin but Im livid!

Excellent service! The nurses at the desk made extra effort to get my insurance coverage (I have a lesser known insurance company that often requires extra steps). The doctor was an excellent communicator, thorough, and thoughtful. Great location too. Take note of the address, as there are two Novant Urgent Care locations on Park Road.

Our Dr.Garrick Mullins was outstanding. He made both my daughter and I feel comfortable and he explained everything in great detail. He is a gift to this community. Also , the two young ladies that checked us in did an incredible job.Thank you! Job well done!!!

The main Doctor that took care of me was great (I forget her name)They were all booked for the day but was able to set me an appointment at 7:30. That was late for me but I really wanted to been seen so I was fine. She told me it was a possibility to get me in earlier and she would let me know. She got me in at 5 and took care of me. Overall a great experience!

Every time I go to any of Charlotte urgent care centers it is always a problem. I checked in online and was told that it doesn’t matter because there were people who got there before me. So if you go here you definitely have better luck walking right in because they give you priority to those with appointments. Non standing the attitude and unprofessionalism of the overworked employees. Please put more staff at the location, it’s flu season.

I went to the ER due to a bike accident I had while trying to avoid running into a jogger who cut in front of me & couldn’t hear because she had on earbuds in while running on the trail. (added for educational purposes) Every team member was genuinely concerned about my injuries, one even apologized. Each staff member from the security guard to X-ray technician was caring and attentive. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

Dr.Garrick Mullis was superb. Great clinical acumen and bedside manner. He listened carefully, asked insightful questions, developed a focused yet thorough list of possible diagnoses, and created an individualized plan of care. I felt supported, well-informed, and actively involved in the decision-making process. Dr. Mullis was truly remarkable.

I used the online portal to register and check in was a breeze. The staff was caring and spoke with candor about prognosis and treatment. We were in and out within ~45 minutes, but I felt that the staff was thorough and listened, while providing helpful feedback. I will definitely return, if needed.

This place always takes good care of me when i come. This is not your typical ghetto urgent care. I been to plenty of them lol ...They are in a nice area, they are clean, and they take good care of you. The provider I saw yesterday was very attentative and very helpful. I left feeling so much better thanks to her. Again. Thank you.

Staff members were amazing! the receptionist was amazing when I called her and asked a question! also nurse Erin is who I seen, is very top notch with her services as well as getting back fast with any concerns you may have!

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE SERVICE! Stephanie the front desk associate helped us get our forms approved for traveling to Hawaii! This process of getting tested and waiting for results was so seamless and fast. I appreciate Michelle, the NP for testing us (6 of us in total) and being so nice and understanding. They went above and beyond to make sure we were all set to go. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I was really impressed with the quality of service they provided at this facility. They were friendly, compassionate, and efficient. I was mended in under an hour, and was able to enjoy the rest of my day. If you need medical attention, this is a good place to go.

Thankful to have this urgent care nearby. I’ve been to it twice over the past several months. Have been able to schedule my appointment and do all the paperwork online. It’s very convenient. The staff is very nice and professional. Would highly recommend!

I came in for an issue and felt that the PA who saw me was dismissive. The total time she examined me was maybe 3 minutes and when I asked for her opinion on a specific issue she did not re-examine me for my concern. I was the only patient in the building but felt rushed. Nothing was prescribed for my pain, and My issue continued to worsen so I saw a different urgent care and was prescribed appropriate medication. If the PA had been more attentive it could have helped my suffering. Gave any stars because of how fast you can get seen by someone which is a plus.

Novant is top notch across the board! There is no better place for care in all of Charlotte! Not only are the doctors and nurses the best, but they are leagues above because they actually care about their patients! I went through the worst experience in having awful abscesses in my Fallopian tubes and ovaries, but my care team gave me confidence I would be ok and get through my health issues. I am still not 100 after leaving the hospital after a nine day stay, but I have follow up appointments with the same doctors I saw in the hospital! I love Novant! I was also born at Presbyterian and birthed my son there as well, so Novant has been outstanding over many decades and many injuries that have brought me to the hospital. All 10s across the board!

I had an excellent experience at this facility. The staff was accomodating, professional, knowledgeable, and timely with the service that they provided me. I left feeling confident in my diagnosis and the home care instructions provided by the physician.

We were SO impressed... easy to make the appointment online, liked being able to text with nurse, no wait time at all, was greeted by name, state of the art equipment, kind and knowledgeable nurse and doctor, quick test results... this will be our go-to place when needed. Thank you!

Fantastic experience! The staff and Dr. Mullis was absolutely amazing with my 4 year old.

As I stated on the other page, the 2 that were there needed help. They provided excellent service, but please give them more help so they will not be stressed out. Also they need to have a scheduled lunch break so that they can unwind. So the score that I am giving reflects how great the 2 that were there handled the customers. The other option would be a 1 because they needed help.

Dr. McRae was literally the best physician experience I’ve ever had. She and her assistant were both amazing- knowledgeable, patient, caring and compassionate. Absolutely fabulous.

The website even the building have words stating they accepting walk ins but this place do not accept walk ins, so no appointment do not come here plus the lady in the front is very rude over the phone and in person she barely wanted to communicate over the phone.

I would give them 6 stars if I could. You can sign in online and save time. I didn’t but I didn’t have to wait long. Dr was very knowledgeable and spent time going over everything with me

Totally unorganized; checked in online and got here on the provided time. After waiting 20 minutes I was told that walk ins have priority and that they don’t care about the online check in. They couldn’t give me an estimate on how much longer to wait and complained that they are short staffed.Horrible customer service and unappreciative of patients time.

I was able to make an appointment very quickly and an hour later I was in the doctors office

I used the website feature to save my spot and my visit was very quick. The staff and physician were friendly and efficient and the medical assessment was thorough.

The team working here is doing everything they can to adjust to the sudden increase in covid cases. Be thankful and considerate to those working long days and hours to help others. Also, make sure you go online and make an appt in advance.

I came today at 6:30 pm to get a covid,test. Outside it says walk in. It was completely empty, not a single patient. They said they were completely busy and sent me to another urgent care. I told them the test would take 2 minutes since the place was completely empty. But they declined saying they were too busy.

Thorough and empathetic providers, from the front desk to the doctor. Spent time explaining all options, will def. use again. So glad theyre in my neighborhood

We live within walking distance of this facility and have tried to walk-in several times for different reasons. This office never appears busy but does not accommodate walk-ins. If you do not have an appointment, I would highly recommend going somewhere else. I would go so far as to say it isn’t an urgent care facility and is being used for scheduled visits only.

Make an appointment online, it’s so easy. Usually not very busy so it’s great. Staff has been quick and nice each time I’ve been there. Clinical staff has been great.

The worst place to go I went there yesterday because I was sick I have fluids in my ear and he didnt prescribe me know are medicine I called back today the nurses and there is so ghetto fabulous that she was eating while she was talking to me on the telephone never will I go back🖕

I’m not sure what’s going on but I went to this urgent care location after trying (and being turned away from) Ballantyne and Quail Hollow and the difference was dazzling. Efficient and helpful. Exceeded expectations.

I had a very very bad experience with the billing department. I accidentally made a duplicate payment and it has been 3 months I can not get any help.

Was a fast and easy appointment process. Both woman treated me with respect and compassion which was huge to me in a moment of crisis.

The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional to patients. Would not suggest coming to this location.
