AFC Urgent Care Monroe Rd.

I had a great visit at AFC Urgent Care. I arrived early and was addressed immediately at the sign-in desk. All staff members were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Both nurse and doctor took the time to address all my concerns and answer every question I had regarding my tests and treatment. I spent about 45 minutes in total, which is less than anticipated. I’m satisfied with my experience and would definitely recommend!

My service was great! I went in for a TB test and Physical and I was greeted with friendly faces at the desk and called back by Guy who was Awesome:) The ladies at the front desk helped me with information on the correct paperwork I would need and once emailed to them, the printed it for me. I was very pleased:)

My experience was not good at all my 8 year old son who is non verbal I brought him in for a quick visit to see if he had acid reflux because he had all the symptoms and for his eczema cream so at first I ask to send the prescription to Walgreens on Milton rd which they took three to get it and then the medication for the burping to either stop or slow down they said I had to pay 500 dollars for it because the doctor didn’t do his job with his medicaid provider and they told that they would return my call when the doctor fixes everything with Medicaid so i can use it to get his last prescription that I still have yet to get with I need the most because of school and the cost of the medication without his Medicaid not being applied!!! I’m very disappointed my son does not no what’s going on he just knows can’t stop burping and throwing up

Experience was good. There was no long wait, I was seen within 10 - 15 minutes of arriving. All employees were courteous, professional and kind. NP was attentive, explained everything in detail and had an amazing bedside demeanor. I actually felt cared for, which is unusual in this day and time. Kudos and accolades for such an Amazing team.

I had to google Urgent Care that day and found AFC Urgent showing 5 stars. All others were 4-4.5. I immediately decided to go there and I didnt regret. All the stuff, beginning from the front desk, the nurse and the Doctor were so caring and nice to me. They work till 05:00, I came like at 04:40, and I left at 05:40. The Doc and the Nurse took their precious time to listen to my needs, take a full care of me, talk to me educating on my condition and my prescriptions. I really appreciate that they did that!!! Excuse me for not remembering names...I recommend anyone who wants to have a complete full service, to go to AFC Urgent Care!Thank you Doc! Thank you Nurse! Thank you the front desk! The AFC off of Monroe Rd. has the best staff members  and doctor I have ever experienced at any Urgent Care I have been to. I highly recommend them to any and everyone in need of medical care. The facility is very clean. You won’t be disappointed. Short wait times you are in and out within 30 minutes. Most important thing to me is they listen to what you have to say and show that they care unlike a lot of doctors.

Great experience at this center. I was from out of town and they quickly got my insurance processed and I was back in a room. The nurse was great. The practitioner I saw was awesome. He quickly identified my issue and I received the necessary treatment immediately.

The staff is so comforting and great! The managers get things handled as they should and they move fast! Just be yourself when you go, they’ll make you feel at home. Just make sure you state your gender when you’re talking to them on the phone.

The experience was fine. The nurse and doctor were personal. I got in very quickly (not packed at all). The reception, however, was not personable at all. Not mean or rude. But nothing welcoming. Toward the end of my visit I felt somewhat brushed off. Taken care of, but brushed off. Not sure what that was about.(Update): The manager was very attentive and called me to inquire about my visit. I really appreciated that, and it made me feel a lot better ☺️ I believe they will work to correct anything that was lacking during my visit.

I was very very surprised by this place. Never been to an urgent care that was decent. David Owens NP, the man that works there, sat down and talked with me for like 20 min straight about what was going on. I don’t meet a lot of medical providers that have empathy like that. I love my primary, but even he doesn’t do this. There was no wait whatsoever. It was expensive even with insurance but this was the first time Ive ever left an urgent care not annoyed/irritated, and I was sick as a dog. Next time I have to go to an urgent care I’ll drive a little further to come back. Much better than the big medical chain urgent care that runs all of charlotte.

Beware before coming here. If your Blue Cross Blue Shield through your employer is from an out of state provider, they won’t take you here. Even if your provider says they are in network. Absolutely horrible. BCBS is a very widely used insurance and its interstate network has never been a problem here in the past. Save yourself some time and go elsewhere.

It was my first time at this location. Theonline paperwork and check in process were fairly simple. The front desk Staff (Michael Black) was extremely welcoming, patient and professional. He offered to enter my insurance and ID info to make the checking process easier. He really deserves recognition for how good he is at his job, maintaining a friendly and calm attitude in a medical office really makes or breaks someones expirience with a particular office. It was quite a busy morning and he remained calm and courteous with everyone. There was about a 20 minute wait past my time I had registered for but nothing unusual there. The nurse and doctor where prompt and I didnt wait at all for them once my name was called. Best of all my prescription was called in right away. Nothing worse than when doctors wait hours to put through meds. Overall a great expirience and I will use this office again for walkin issues

Dr. Owens, even though he is still a nurse practitioner, is absolutely awesome. Very attentive to details and thorough. He will be a GREAT Doctor one day!!!I highly recommend AFC Urgent Care on Monroe Road, Charlotte NC and Mr. David Owens.

Had an incident at work cause swelling on my elbow. The staff was extremely professional, courteous, and personable. The P/A was knowledgeable and everyone was thorough and helpful to get me on my way.

Im in Charlotte for work and hurt my ankle.Everyone at AFC was very nice and knowledgeable. Dr took the time to listen and respond patiently. I would definitely recommend AFC Urgent Care.

AFC urgent care is a very good place to bring minor Emergency needs to be treated. Very competent Medical staff. Seen and did not wait long. Great experience, no other issues. Recommend this facility.

The worst, most unprofessional experience I’ve had at an urgent care. I can tell why the place was completely empty when I walked in at lunch time.They operate with ONLY ONE MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL !!! An URGENT CARE !!! No nurses, a patient coordinator in slacks and a button shirt took my vitals and gave me my flu test.(he was very nice so no disrespect to him) Results were negative. How do I know he even knows how to properly administer a flu test when he isn’t a medical assistant ?? While I was waiting 30 minutes to receive my flu shot , I over hear the ENTIRE PHYSICIAN VISIT THROUGH THE WALL! HIPPA must not be of importance here. I heard the Dr tell the patient she couldn’t get certain care because they were out of the supplies she needed, pretty sure she was Pregnant. Then the DR. (Or probably a PA or NP knowing them) COMES TO SEE ME and tells me they are also out of flu shots !!!! What type of business is this ??? They’ve been open for 3 years so it’s not a new establishment.Do not waste your time. It looks empty FOR A REASON! I can’t imagine if the office was full, what type of nightmare it would’ve been and how many insurances they would’ve billed for care the patients didn’t even receive. Go to Atrium or Novant where they have basic supplies.

This facility is awesome! Weve been well taken care of by everyone there. From the lovely people in the front to the nurses in the back. A million thank yous!!

Came here yesterday due to a severe cough and lung pain that no medicine was taking away and doctor Kerri went straight to the point wasted no time in treating me and knew what she was talking about they are so considerate and won’t charge you for things you don’t need. The up front lady was so welcoming and polite to me next time I’d know where to go if I need a doctor. Recommend anyone to come here if your looking for an urgent care

UPDATE: I talked to Larry Kugler, who saw my review and reached out to me to discuss what went wrong. He was genuinely concerned about what happened and truly wanted to know how to fix the problem going forward. We talked at great length and he was sincere in his concern and desire to make things right. Honestly, this is what all companies in all industries should be doing: engaging with customers to make things right, or at the least make things better. In this case, I think AFC has done so. I am updating my review to reflect this effort. I will be going back to AFC if I need urgent care in the future.👎BOO👎They will not take your insurance. I have BlueCross BlueShield, like the most widely accepted insurance carrier in the country and they wouldnt take it. Literally every other provider in the city takes my insurance, but not AFC. Save time and go somewhere else for your urgent care needs.

Great urgent care. Have been here multiple times and I always pre- select a time slot online. Everyone is kind and professional from check in to the providers. very clean facility too. Would recommend!

The doctors and staff are all friendly and met my needs of getting my regular medications filled. The issue is I have been there twice and in pain from numerous conditions and received nothing to help with the pain etc. I live in pain almost 24/7 and get no help!

Very kind and patient staff. The nurse was great helping my son get over being nervous for a strep test. Clean, pleasant facility.

All of information on discharge was incorrect; I didn’t not see my xray. A good provider would show a fracture. The provider knew what kind of pain I was in and did not treat appropriately. According to information given on discharge paperwork; I feel I was rushed out the door.

From beginning, the intake guy Michael and all the other staff, they treated my Mom with respect, kindness and compassion. NP Owens was very thorough and listened carefully and took his time to put together a plan that will get my Mom on the right road to recovery. We were very glad to have found this place.

I went for something personal, I arrived and they took care of me quickly. I didnt have to wait the long, like in other places that make you wait too long. The  staff are very professional and friendly, would really go again. And I would recommend it to my family and friends

As a medical provider MYSELF, this is my “go to” urgent care practice. The wait is always minimal & in fact so short, it’s surprising. The providers are always kind & thorough — really couldn’t ask for much more. Thanks AFC!

I hope that MICHAEL receives the necessary training to properly do his job as a check-in receptionist. Hopefully no other potential patients are treated as my CHILD and I were. The OTHER AFC location and staff were WONDERFUL! Im only leaving this review as a precursor and warning for others.

They allow you to pre-register and go thru all the foolishness online to wait until you get there to say oh we behind we not taking no ppl, so why not just close to list it makes ugh more sense, but I guess common sense not so common definitely won’t go back

Wonderful visit as usual. Fast, friendly and professional staff. Great experience from front desk to the medical staff even the manger showed care and concern for my son!

The nurse and doctor were thorough, attentive and very knowledgeable.  We were impressed and extremely happy with our experience.

I am displeased. I took my daughter who I found out sprung her knee in school. The doctor was very clear on what happened and what is necessary for her to heal. He gave a option of her wearing a mobilizer or a ace bandage with crutches , she recommended that she uses the crutches for stability. Then they say the doctor recommends the mobilizer which of course cost more Now she feels worse having to use more strength to get around. I also advised she is not able to swallow pills, the nurse said they would prescribe her liquid medication not only did they send it to the wrong pharmacy after I provided the exact address of the pharmacy to send it to l get there and the medication is in pill form. Ugh

It was the first time I got a good nights rest after suffering for 2 months. You helped me and I appreciate it immensely. Love this place. It’s my go to place. It’s fast and friendly. David Owens is amazing. He even remembered me from last time which says a lot about his care considering how many people he must see a day. My nurse today was concerned about my blood pressure which wasn’t even the reason I was there. Again, love this place and would suggest for anyone to go. They go above and beyond.

Seen relatively quickly. Care provider was attentive and empathetic. She explained all prescriptions and OTC recommendations. She answered my questions.

They are very nice. Place is clean. Doctors know what they know and will help you. They also do a good job of listening to you.

Such a seamless, quick and efficient visit for my son, who wasnt feeling well and obviously wasnt super happy about having to go. Dr Owens was receptive to my questions, very relaxed and made it clear that he would tend to my son for as long as was needed, if we were worried about anything else or had more questions. Front desk was super kind and helpful. We were in and out within about 30 mins for a strep diagnosis. The rapid test took just minutes and my sons prescription was immediately called in.

Prompt, courteous service on a holiday when most other urgent cares were closed. Only downside was confusion about where to send my prescription resulted in overnight delay in obtaining my medications.

We visited this American Family Care location on March 18, while visiting our Charlotte, as my wife was feeling discomfort. The process on line to check in was pretty straightforward. Once arrived to the location, our wait time was about 15 minutes (other health locations were advising 2-3 hours). The receptionists and nurse assistants were very kind and patient oriented (sorry I did not catch their name). David Owens, NP, did the consultation. He was great, very patient and caring. Took the time yo explain the diagnostic, next steps and answer all my wife’s questions. It was a great experience. Congratulations American Family Care for the great job and thank you for saving the day!!

I came here this morning with a tooth ache, always exceptional care, the Doctor is not from the Charlotte area, her knowledge of medicine is impeccable, she takes time to talk with you, and even doing referrals if you need one, and I differently need one, the nurse was extremely kind, as well as the front desk customer care, and in house customer care, being a formal patient of both Artrum and Novant ugrent care, AFC is the best. These days its extremely hard to get a same day appointment with some doctors since the pandemic, because they taking extra precautions, so if you need immediately care, and not wanting to wait in the emergency room, their efficient, the facility is always clean, I feel very comfortable adding AFC to my options of having my healthcare needs address.

Polite receptionist! The doctor was quick, thorough and helpful! I had a grease burn on the back of my hand that looked nasty and infected. By end of day my hand was no longer swollen and bright red. Nor hot to touch. They take walk-ins! All other places were talking days out appointments. I had a flight out of state soon.I was so grateful to find help on line for a change and close by!I got medication necessary! My hand is recovering well now!

The staff here were very nice and genuine. the way they interacted with my son was very nurturing and caring. we didnt think we would have such an amazing time at a clinic but we did... we appreciate the staff and hope they continue to smile....

This urgent care facility is the best I have experienced since being in North Carolina. I originally called the Mooresville location and spoke to Gracie. I told her I needed an x-ray of my foot. She said their x-ray techs were not in on Sundays, but recommended the Statesville location if I needed the x ray done that day, otherwise to come in on Monday. We hung up. But then she called me back a few minutes later to let me know their Charlotte location was open and had technicians there on Sundays. She gave me the address and I headed down there from Concord. It was closer than Statesville for me. Upon arriving, I was immediately checked in and waited just a few minutes. Amanda, the X-ray technician, was wonderful. She assisted me to the x-ray room and took three x-rays of my foot.While waiting for the radiologist to read the results of my x-ray, Gracie from the Mooresville office called me to make sure I got to the Charlotte location. Amanda, then came back into the room to help me put the medical boot on my leg so I could walk without pain. Luckily there were no fractures found in my foot. I highly recommend AFC Urgent Care. Although I did not make it to the Mooresville office that didn’t stop Gracie from making sure I made to the Charlotte office. The customer service and care from both of these offices was outstanding! The whole staff was so friendly. I was told by the MA up front they were a little behind but there was only 4-5 patients so I decided to wait. Very clean environment. Dr Owens was very nice along with nurse Savanna. I had to get some stitches and the whole staff made the experience as pleasant as possible.🥰

Great customer service, down to earth people including the doctors. The place is very clean. The atmosphere was very amazing. This is my number one pick for urgent care. Thanks and keep up the amazing work.

Appointment was at 510pm. Got there roughly around 515pm. The medical receptionist was wonderful. It was starting to rain, so I called since I was coming from Gibbon Rd and I assumed I would be running a few minutes behind. Receptionist stated please take your time, we know you are on the way and drive carefully. Now once we my 3yr old grandson and I got into the back so he could be check around 535pm it seemed like it took forever. He was seen by an amazing Physician Assistant around 645pm. There were people that did come in after us that got seen before my 3yr old grandson. I was aggravated due to this. But please understand that 3 staff members (medical receptionist, ,medical assistant who took vitals and Physician Assistant) that we were encountered with were very nice.

The go-to urgent care. Super clean and very nice, even the front desk (which rarely happens). Dr. Owens was so professional, took his time and really listened. Short wait time, quick and efficient!

The doctor actually said she does not know what to do at all for the situation. She did refer to a podiatrist he could have used some kind of pain relief in the site

We have always had good service at this location. It is around the corner from our house so it is super convenient. Today my daughter ran a 103 fever at home and we came in 20 minutes before closing and the staff was so inviting and friendly and wanted to help get my daughter back as quickly as possible. We ended up leaving right at 5 and before we walked out they made sure she got a lollipop. Ive been places where ive come in close to closing and you feel the tension the second you walk in but I did not feel that from a single person! Id recommend them x100 and I already have! Thanks for all you do!

All staff and medical personnel were incredibly nice and personable. Unlike some other clinics I’ve been to, I felt like the practitioner was very knowledgeable and informed. I also noticed that the kind woman at the front desk would say goodbye to every patient/guest that was leaving which was a nice touch.

After 5 days of drainage and not being able to talk I was taken within the hour of calling. The online form filing worked well also. They were very nice and did the testing for RSV, fly and Covid. No positives. They were thorough and professional.A seeming repeat infection on Jan 27 proved positive for Covid and I was in and out in a short period of time. Very professional, courteous and kind.Thank you!

What a wonderful place! The staff are very friendly and so knowledgeable. We met with David Owens, PA. He nailed the diagnosis and treatment options. My wife has been here in the past and is also very pleased with the people and the entireexperience. We are so lucky to have them right in our neighborhood. Highly recommend!

The team was extra helpful once they realized I could not walk & brought a wheel chair out. Wait time was short. Most importantly , Kerri Perry, NP, was THE BEST provider; she listened, explained, and had truly excellent bedside manner. She knows her stuff and communicates well.

Went here in September knowing full well my Insurance covers Urgent Care visits. It even says it on the front of my insurance card. The clerk charged me my deductible instead which is an astronomically different amount, even though I told them it was wrong. After I was serviced I went home and called my insurance who confirmed I was right. So I called the urgent care who then explained IN THEIR OWN WORDS “sometimes when we don’t feel like finding your insurance info we just charge you your deductible”. Why would it be the customers responsibility to make sure they aren’t getting over charged? How many people have they done this to who never got their money back? I filed this dispute with them in September and they just sent my money back today. If you know your insurance, don’t go here. Because they don’t care about anything but your $$$

This was the only urgent care was very convenient staff was pleasantand the front desk very helpful. The nurse and Dr was friendly and quick with taking care of my lil fella. Im grateful for the speedy service we was in and out under two hours.

I was very nervous about going to an Urgent Care and was pleasantly surprised! Everyone in the office was wonderful. The care and professionalism was amazing. The doctor took his time and didnt do any unnecessary testing. Highly recommend this office if youre in need of medical care.

Friendly, helpful staff - from the moment I walked in until I left. Minimal wait time - I was out within an hour.Clean facility - they were sanitizing the check-in area and chairs while I was there! They even thought to check if the cleaning solution might be bothersome to anyone before starting.Thorough care - My care provider explained everything about my injury so that I understood, made helpful recommendations not just for immediate treatment, but also for prevention going forward. He didnt seemed rushed, and was interested in me being able to avoid injury down the road.

I came into the Adult/Family Care yesterday evening. Was greeted promptly and met with a Doctor right away. The Doctor was very helpful and comforting. She set up a plan of action for me to follow. Very satisfied.

This Urgent Care Center is amazing! Staff is in knowledgeable and friendly, Luc the Medical Assistant and John the Nurse Practitioner made me feel so at ease and appreciated.

This is my favorite urgent care. I love that the building is always clean, you can tell its been sanitized and disinfected, the front desk staff is so personable and friendly, they make you feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door. The wait is never too long and even the clinical staff is great, they address all your concerns and even call to check in on you after being seen to see how youre feeling. I will continue to use this urgent care when im not feeling well

Team said they took my insurance and then asked me for $200 before the appointment and were not remotely kind about turning me down while I was sick. Bad experience. They should advertise collection of hundreds of dollars in fees upfront.

So wonderful! I came in and I felt very uncomfortable because I didn’t want to look as though I was overacting about my symptoms. However the doctor and staff were so patient and kind and made sure that I understood my health and what was going on as well as next steps! Urgent cares are hit or miss- however this one was a hit if I could that same staff for family care count me in!

This place was FANTASTIC. Everyone was super friendly and so very helpful. The rooms were clean, all staff were professional and nice, minimal wait time. This will be our go to for urgent cares!

Was a great experience as always. It’s nearly impossible to get our kids in to an Atrium facility, so even though AFC doesn’t take our insurance, the convenience and quality is well worth the higher cost.

The best experience Ive ever had at an urgent care! The staff was friendly, helpful, and genuine. The doctor was comforting, outgoing, and open and made sure I was completely comfortable with all of my options. Overall a very welcoming environment where they interacted with you like people and not another patient to get in and out. The best part though?? I was in and out in about an hour/hour and a half! I made an appointment online and was seen quickly and efficiently right at my appointment time. The nurses were in and out readily and each time were so nice and friendly and joked along with me. All in all, I think Ive found my urgent care of choice 😊

I would give 5 starts for the receptionist who was working the day of my visit 10/20/2023. She was nice, welcoming, and very professional.About my visit. I came with excruciating pain in my lower back and could barely move or walk. I checked in, and they called me, and I went to the room. The NP assistant took my info and my vitals, and I explained the situation. He asked me the pharmacy, and I asked him if he could send it to the CVS, which he confirmed around the corner right, and I said yes. He left. You can hear conversations through the walls, and I hear him sarcastically saying, Where all these people are coming from. which I found very unprofessional. The NP attended first the patient that came way after me to the next room. She finally came to me, saw me for 2 min and gave me shots and the note for the work, wich I really appreciated. In my discharge papers stated Patient tolerated pain well, patient left the room without difficulty I barely could get out from the room, limping I managed to get to the door, to get out to the main lobby, I couldnt even open the door, because of the pain, I dont even care that nobody helped, I care why false information was put in my discharge papers. I got an injection, and in discharge paper ot says Risks and benefits of procedure or alternative discussed, and patient verbalized understanding and consent Nobody talked to me about any of that, NP just stated that they will give me painkiller and steroid shot, thats all. Is that even legal? I was in pain and didnt even read my papers, I just wanted to get out as soon as possible. Forgot to mention they sent my medication in absolutely different pharmacy

A great experience for an Urgent Care!Came for a covid test. They were a little behind on my appointment but was waiting in the car so wasn’t too bad at all. Everything was very clean and saw them sanitizing a couple of times in the short amount of time I was there. They have a TV they turned on for me while waiting for my results in my exam room.Staff was super friendly and nice! The doctor was also very nice and helpful as well!!Again, a great experience for an Urgent Care for sure!Would definitely come back again!

I was treated with so much kindness and concern. They young lady at the front desk was able to multitask and yet not keeping anyone waiting for over a minute. The Dr, was phenomenal as well. Addressed all of my concerns and very caring.

Able to be seen on short notice by nurse practitioner. Good physical exam and good communication. What really impressed me was a follow-up call three days later to see how I was feeling. Impressive!

If you want treated and get in and out quickly, the monroe rd. locatiin is a great choice. The provider I saw was Kerri Perry. She was very understanding of my needs and LISTENED. No BIG EGOS at this Urgent Care...dont waste your time anywhere else . AFC seems to have a great attitude and Im sure the other Locations will have the same philosophy. I will be back next time I need care.

My first visit to this urgent care and selected due to proximity-but I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND. This is a new facility and very nice inside. Staff was efficient, friendly and courteous and definitely adhered to cleanliness and protocol. Dr. Jackson and her team were so considerate, caring and attentive. They checked in with me often and had the means for x-ray, treatment and diagnosis on site. This is the best by far experience I’ve had at any urgent care. I appreciated their immediate follow up when I got home. I’m feeling better and will definitely go here again and recommend to friends and family.

I am a Registered Nurse, and I can honestly say that I received wonderful care at this location. The staff was amazing and attentive to my needs. The Dr (Kline) was very detailed, informative, and extremely knowledgeable. He payed special attention to my needs. I recommend this Urgent Care to anyone wanting proper and effective care.

I’m really skeptical of using Urgent Care facilities. However, this facility is very clean and the staff was exceptional. I made the appointment online and was seen within 15mins of my arrival. The front desk clerk told me information I wasn’t aware of about my insurance/billing. I had a great discussion with LaKeisha (nurse) and PA Perry was quick and precise with her diagnosis.

Everyone took good care of me treating a gnarly wound on my finger. I really appreciate it.

Everyone their was extremely nice and very thorough. Emmanuel checked me in and took my vitals, actually listened and relayed exactly what I said to the doctor before she came in. I cant remember her name but the doctor that saw me was great as well. Actually listened and thoroughly tested and treated me. I will definitely go back here if I need urgent care again. Had a female problem yesterday, so this morning, went to Urgent Care on Monroe which is very close to my home. Everyone there from the receptionist, nurse and Doctor were all very professional, but also helpful and kind. A few minutes wait then seen and out of there quickly. Went to pick up my prescriptions and back home within 2 hours. I’ll definitely go back if I ever need urgent care again.

Easy to schedule appointment online, easy to get in/out of parking lot, very clean facility and absolutely fantastic professional and friendly staff! It was a busy night some were really sick. Therefore, I had to wait a while. First I was very upset but when the doctor came in he was very apologetic and so caring he took time with me even thought it was time for him to leave. They gave me every care I needed and yes I would definitely go back. Great staff.

Top notch, everything u would want with an Urgent care experience. Appointment is super easy to make, and since I didn’t want to wait until three days from now since they are always booked up, walked in. Raven and Kelci at the front desk were considerate and professional, checking me in and told me it would be a while to wait since there’s a line ahead of me. They set my expectations so I can’t complain. Once I got the text to come in, Sara Jane took care of me from beginning to end. She made me feel comfortable and cared for without being intrusive about my condition. Dr Morris then asked me questions and listened attentively, then answered all my silly questions about my condition. Overall I felt like I was given time like a real patient, even though I didn’t expect as much given its an urgent care. They treated with the respect and professional care I deserve, like every patient. Thank you for being heroes at work and doing your job beyond what is required. Oh and the facility is wonderfully clean and neat, which is how it should be.

I am not sure if all these reviews are fake or people dont understand that theyre ripping you off. Weve had some excellent insurance from our work places and instead of billing them, they kept sending me the bills. Upon confronting, they decided to bill the insurance but the next, we took our kids for an urgent care visit, they refused to see us. I mean imagine the embarrassment. They asked us to pay on the spot or they wont our kids. They ended charging us $530, and the wait time to check in was around 30 minutes because of their slow system/printer. So youd continue to charge ridiculous amounts of money yet wont upgrade your system? Got it.I called my insurance the other day and found out that they never billed them for the lab work which ended up being in collection (we have great jobs and perfect credit). Also, the original bill was way less than what they charged us. Isnt that ridiculous? So be careful of these scammers, we wont be going back at all.

This was my first time visiting AFC Urgent Care. The process to get in and get tested for Covid was smooth. All of the staff were congenial and clear on information. After waiting in my car I was sent a text message to come in. I only waited a couple minutes to be taken to the room. My nurse was professional and nice. Dr. Jackson was excellent and helped me with all of my questions. I highly recommend this location.

I had a bad fall spraining my ankle and banging my knee. Thought both were broken. Kristin the nurse and X-ray tech did a wonderful job. She was thorough, thoughtful and gentle. David the PA was knowledgeable. One flat fee with my co-pay that was affordable.

Great local provider accepts insurance for Covid testing. I registered in advance and I was taken promptly. The staff was friendly, professional and informative. The premises were scrupulously clean. I was in and out very quickly. The office is near main roads and has plenty of parking.

Everyone showed so much kindness during my two visits. I came for a rapid covid test and the nurses assisted me in filling out forms and quickly rescheduled me because I was late for my appointment. The doctors carefully outlined all guidelines and went through my concerns with efficiency and care. Everything went calmly and smoothly to ensure care for the patients (my roommate and I). Both visits went extremely well and I couldn’t be more pleased with my time there.

Super great experience. I was a walk in who came in for testing. The front desk was on point. Not only did they pick up my phone call to inquire, but they were there for every question and concern I had about billing, when I came in . Super big props to Emily, their PA, and Suzette, their nurse. Made the atmosphere one of the most comfortable and warm spaces I’ve had in a while when it comes to clinics. Def my new go to for any problem or concern . I highly recommend.

I am a healthcare provider myself and was in Charlotte visiting when my elbow went rogue. The entire staff was beyond amazing…from the front desk staff, to the rooming staff, and the NP, David Owens. Zero stars to the elbow. Ten stars for AFC Urgent Care!

My daughter was sick and my goal was to have her tested for flu. When we arrived, there was no one else in the waiting room. Still, it took some time to get checked in and after some waiting, we were taken to the back. I noticed that many of the exam rooms were empty (the doors were open) so I thought, Oh good, well be done in no time. But that was NOT the case. We waited SO LONG in the room (maybe 35 minutes?) At one point I came out to get an update and the nurse said they were waiting on the provider. Shocked, I asked Is the provider not here?! and she said he was there, they were just waiting on him to see us. So I went back into the room and waited another 15 minutes. Finally, the guy comes in and a sample is taken. He quickly leaves, and then MORE WAITING. All told, we were there probably an hour and a half, just for a simple flu test. And the flu test came back positive and despite that, the doc said he didnt want to prescribe Tamiflu for my daughter because she was too young (shes 8). It was just a horrid experience all around but made worse because we just got the bill and its $355!!! Just for a simple flu test!! So not just horrible service but they price gouge you too!

AFC staff is very friendly and helpful. I’ve only been bringing my boys there to get their Flu shot. It’s been a pleasure coming there it’s clean the staff is very efficient. Staff was very nice. Ive had several COVID tests and this is the first place where a doctor came in and discussed my results and provided next steps. (I was negative but they still made it a point to discuss the proper protocol). Since the experience is similar to a normal doctors appointment be prepared to wait a little bit. My appointment was a total of 45-min. Half waiting in the car for my appointment to begin. The other half waiting in the room for my results. In my opinion, worth the wait to have the thoroughness provided at this location.

Went in the morning for a COVID-19 test and the entire staff was so friendly, helpful, and informative. The building was super clean as well! Dr. Jackson & Megan were my care team and answered all my questions and went out of their way to make it a positive experience. I was helped super quickly by the front office staff as well, who made the check in process super clear and simple. I will definitely come to this location next time I have an Urgent Care need!

I literally had the most amazing experience at this location while in a frightening state of mind due to my child being ill. Tierra greeted us right away and made us feel welcomed. Kerri (the nurse practitioner) immediately began working diligently to see what was wrong with my daughter while offering comfort. Christine (who was assisting Kerri) was very gentle as she collected samples and also very sweet. The staff worked quickly and efficiently to treat my daughter. Tierra even went the extra mile to ensure we had the correct military insurance policy number by making phone calls. They made my daughter feel loved as she was very ill and running a fever. Not only did they treat her; but they ended up treating myself as well being that I was around my sick child even though it was time for them to get off. Laila was also AMAZING. We had to visit once more after our initial visit and she ensured the lobby was sanitized and thoroughly cleaned while giving an amazing check in experience. They treat you like you’re more than just a patient. They treat you like family and as though you’re valued. As a disabled vet I can truly say I haven’t had this experience in health care in a long time. It showed that it’s still great people out here. This will now be my permanent location of treatment of myself or my daughter is In need.

If you go ahead and upload your id and insurance online, state your reason prior to your visit, and arrive at least ten minutes early you’ll be in and out in thirty minutes. I needed a rapid COVID test and found AFC on the web. A friend also recommended it. I easily got an appointment. They provided a helpful app for the paperwork. The front office staff was welcoming and professional. The nurse and doctor were friendly and helpful. The process was handled very quickly. They did everything well.

The facility is so clean and tidy. Does not have the total hospital feel. The staff is incredibly nice. Dr Klein has the best bedside manner. I have been twice now and have a great experience in a less ideal situation I was facing.

Went here for a possible fractured foot. I liked being able to fill out those huge forms ahead of time. The front staff were incredibly friendly. And Dr. Jackson is also very friendly and professional, got me fixed up and out the door. The X-ray tech was also really nice and didnt seem bothered when I took my shoe off...I know my foot doesnt smell like roses. Ill go here again if I need to.

This was a great visit. I called and spoke with someone beforehand. She was knowledgeable and gave me the cost of the office visit. Since I’m self insured, I have to know what type of charges to anticipate. I was able to schedule a visit via online and complete all paperwork. I arrived and was seen at my reservation time. Genuine compassion sets the tone at AFC, where the staff made me feel at ease from my first phone call seeking information, until I walked out the door with the paperwork I needed completed. I was shown to an exam room almost immediately, shown kindness and respect as we did the neccessaries, and saw the nurse practitioner in short order. We were back in our car in less than 45 minutes.To be cared for with such kindness and courtesy on a rainy Friday evening, when I was stressed and emotional, was truly soothing to my soul. I wholeheartedly recommend AFC Urgent Care for anyone needing care quickly, or not!

My experience was incredibly easy and pleasant and completely surpassed my expectations in every way. From the onset it was easier to get an appointment here for a Covid test than any other place in the city. They were completely professional and courteous and simplify the process from beginning to end. I was particularly impressed with the fact that staff was cleaning every surface from The handles on the chairs to the ink pens at the front desk.Every person I came in contact with was kind and generous and I believe their names were Meagan and Jessica that were so empathetic towards my situation and blessed me tremendously with going the extra mile. My husband was part of a layoff and we didn’t have insurance for the first time in 30 years and they were so gracious to work with me and help me through that challenging situation.I will definitely choose their services anytime needed in the future and certainly recommend them to anyone!

Office staff and nurse were very professional, kind, and welcoming. There was a bit of a wait even with my appointment, but I figured due to the time needed for rapid testing that contributed to a lot of it. I didnt like how the doctor spoke to me about getting my rapid test. Despite being fully vaccinated, myself, I was exposed to a close family member who tested positive for COVID. Im aware there is a delta variant currently and I wanted to be sure I didnt just assume my vaccine would cover everything - because they dont - so I went to get a rapid test. He made me feel like it was a waste of time, like I shouldnt have bothered. Im trying to be safe and the doctor is telling me to essentially just bank on the best case scenario instead of being realistic. I was disappointed in his comments, but the testing process and the rest of the staff were great.

The environment was clean, staff was nice, but were more like they didn’t want to be there. I mean I guess that’s cool but don’t let the patients see or feel that vibe. Doctor I saw was cool, I just felt like he was in a hurry, he didn’t ask me any questions, I told him what was going on, I just felt rushed, but had to wait at the same time. But my overall experience was cool, I mean I would go back if I didn’t have any other better options.

From the moment we walked into the facility, we were greeted with a warm smile by the attendant who had us fill out paperwork. The facility was very clean and the process to be seen was no more than a 15 - 20 wait. The technician, Kanisha, did our weigh in and blood pressure checks and was very welcoming and friendly. Everyone we encountered, including the doctor at AFC Urgent Care provided A+ stellar service.

I had an ok service but would not recommend to friends/family. Their system was unfortunately down when I visited which lead to a plethora of inconveniences spanning +4 months.

Very efficient, quick, and very courteous to their patients. I was nervous because I’m not from the area and have never been to an urgent care facility. It was very clean and well kept. I highly recommend this facility and their doctors!

Do NOT go here. Charged me out of pocket even though I had insurance because the front desk doesnt know how to file correctly with insurance. Also the doctor I saw was laughable at best. Diagnosed completely wrong so I went somewhere else and found it was something more serious that should have been easy to diagnose. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not waste your time or money. I saw another woman who they tried to charge out of pocket as well even though she had insurance.

I never write reviews so the fact I’m writing this is significant. I chose this location based off reviews and wish I spent money at the doctor that didn’t accept my insurance. The doctor who helped me would not listen to my concerns and was rude and persistent about an incorrect diagnosis. I went in with a very obvious foreign body in my eye and left with it still in my eye, and being told it’s a scratched cornea and the spot I was concerned about was “normal”. Now I’m spending money at the ER Thanksgiving weekend to get done what could not and would not be done at this urgent care. I would have given one star if it wasn’t for the friendly staff at the front desk. The doctor was absolutely rude and inconsiderate.

The doctor was one of the best I have ever met. He was well versed in allopathic and natural medicine. I didnt need an appointment like I did at the other places. Yes, there is a bit of a wait, but that is everywhere. Im not glad I was injured, but Im glad I went here.

The place was immaculate. The check-in process was quick with completing the required paperwork. The staff was professional and friendly I must say. Maybe, it was the time of day (12:23pm) but the place was empty. We had a little wait for the physician. Overall, highly recommended.

I have used this urgent care for covid tests. I feel safe going in and they are super clean. There are enough chairs to social distance. Also they give the option of sitting in your car and text you when to come in so you arent waiting around forever. The front desk staff have been friendly and there is usually no line. There has generally been enough parking. You see a doctor and the end of each visit. For both visits I have been in and out of the urgent care in 30 minutes to an hour and that is pretty quick for an urgent care.

Everyone was SO friendly & truly cared about me/my health & showed it! They were helpful, thorough, & did everything they could to find the issue & help me feel better. Plus, my insurance covered everything, so that made me (& my wallet) even more pleased. 10/10 would recommend!!

I made my appt online within an hour of arrival; the receptionist worked diligently to reconcile my insurance; I was seen within 5 mins; I was diagnosed & out within 15 mins. Oh! And they greeted us warmly as we came into the door! Best visit ever! Thank you so much, AFC! Cant beat that Southern hospitality!

My experience was great! Dr. Gary Klein, MD. Was awesome very caring and attentive and understanding! Addressed every concern. Staff was also great… Definitely the place to go when you’re not feeling that great.

Every experience I’ve had with AFC has been extremely positive. Every doctor we’ve seen has been very thorough, checking every possible issue, and very kind. They spend time talking with you and answering questions. I trust this place. Thanks so much for your care, especially during a time where doctors, nurses and staff are tired and short staffed.

Had a great experience at this Urgent care facility. All of the staff were friendly, helpful, and they provided me with any/all information during my visit. Highly recommend, especially considering they allowed leniency when showing up early for my appt!

Lovely experience, no wait time, great treatment, and very friendly staff. The doctor was very thorough and paid close attention to my symptoms to find a solution and reach a proper diagnosis. Awaiting my blood work, I will definitely be a regular.

Extreme waste of money. Dr. Jackson and the nurse working with her were super kind and helpful during my visit, but they brushed off my concerns and ended up ignoring an infection I had that could have been treated much sooner had they taken proper care and paid more attention instead of telling me my concern was just “mild irritation.” The amount I paid for this visit was a complete waste, but you live and you learn.Tip: If you visit this location, please make sure they do appropriate tests because you’ll still get charged even if they just check and push you on your way.

Okay first of all, Dennay is my GIRL. I’ve had a rough two months and have had the honor of seeing her twice now, and she is genuinely the most caring, competent, and uplifting human. She’s so good at her job. The staff in general at Monroe is amazing and I go anytime I need anything. Top notch care. Lakisha was shadowing Dennay today and was so sweet and helpful, also! I went in and saw Dr. Jackson. She was one of the kindest doctors I’ve ever seen in an urgent care. She listened, and made me feel less anxious. Very thorough and knowledgeable. I’d recommend this urgent care to anyone who wants kindness and efficiency!

This is the only urgent care that my husband and I come to since we’ve moved to Charlotte! The physicians, nurses, and all other staff there are always so kind. It’s also by far the quickest urgent care I’ve ever been to, which is a huge plus. I recommend them to all of our friends here!

Fast and excellent care. Pre-registered for the walk in list. Checking is was smooth and easy. Dr. Owens and Kristina were extremely helpful. Walked out feeling better all within 1hr.
