Dr. Porter is fine. The staff, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Had my pharmacy call in a prescrption for me last week. A week later I called to inquire why my prescription hasnt been called in. Was told someone would call me back. No return call. Call my pharmacy the next day to see if the prescription was perhaps called in. Nope. So, I call the office again. Was told by the office staff they reached out to me the day before. Check my missed calls. Nope no missed call from their office. Ask them to call me to see about getting my prescription refilled. Sit with the phone in my hand all day long waiting for the call. Finally at 3:45 I call again. Was told that they tried calling me but it went to voice mail. Absolutely not. I had my phone in my hand all day waiting for the return call. So after a week of requests from my pharmacy and calls from me, I finally get someone who will call in my prescription.One other thing, I met with the PA for my yearly checkup. We discussed the possiblity of changing my medications. She mentioned that if my insurance doesnt cover the medication to call and let her know and she will see about switching to something else. When I call to tell her my insurance wasnt covering the medication and I need to try something else, I was told I need to schedule another appointment. WHAT? I was just there. So, evidently the PA didnt even look at my chart.Just terrible, terrible service. Im just so glad the medication I needed refilled wasnt something for a life-threatening condition, Id be dead by now. Again, terrible service. Will never use them again.

I visited Dr. Porter recently and I must say he is one of the best doctors I have seen in Charlotte within the past 5 years and Novant is lucky to have him. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He was also not bothered by all the questions I was asking. The doctor visit was very thorough and Dr. Porter was also very transparent & concise with his medical advice. The rest of the staff was also very nice. Lastly, Penelope- at the front desk is a sweetheart. I would highly recommend Dr. Porter and this office.

Dr.Porter has been a blessing! I have been suffering from issues since surgeries with another physician and have been to multiple doctors with no resolve in sight until I was able to get in with Dr. Porter. He takes the times to listen to my concerns and explains everything in a way the layman can understand. He performed my surgery back in August and took the time to explain the surgery done to my husband afterwards. He is the best in my book and has truly made a difference in my quality of life! I am still healing from my complicated procedure but can tell he fixed my issues. I would recommend him to anyone that wants a doctor who shows he cares and who takes the time to listen. The office staff is super friendly and professional! I cannot thank this practice enough, especially Dr.Porter for getting me on my way back to a normal life.

I really liked Dr Porter. He is thorough and caring. He takes the time to talk to you and answer your questions. Except for the extremely long wait in the examination room, it was a great experience. I feel confident that I am in good hands with Dr Porter.

I have had 3 appointments with Dr. Porter who provided excellent medical care. While at my first appointment with Dr. Porter. I bumped into my neighbor who raved about the care she and her mother also received . Dr. Porter was sensitive to the cost of medicine and was able to offer options that I could afford. The office staff was pleasant, welcoming and answered all my questions as a new patient.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with doctor Porter. I saw him at Novant Health Urogynecology on January 19, 2021, for an initial consultation. And I had a follow-up appointment on February 16, 2021. Both times Mr. Porter showed minimal interest in what was going on with me. He barely listened and seemed to be in a constant rush. He talked to me for no more than five minutes, prescribed medications, mentioned a couple of possible options if the meds did not work, and asked me to make a new appointment—a total disappointment—an uncaring and uncompassionate physician.

Dr. Porter was a big disappointment to me after I waited over a month to get an appointment. I was referred by my GYN for Urogynecology so I thought hed be great. Dr. Porter was the most unorganized Dr. I have ever met and so scatter brained. He did not listen to me and no compassion. I was rushed in and out. I was really nervous he rushed me so. When I got home I had samples of a medication I didnt even know was in my bag and no explanation how to use it. It was contraindicated with elevated BP and I have high BP and also caused UTIS which was one of the reasons I was seeing him. I took a CT scan with me and he didnt bother looking for the report in my records. I told him I had a kidney stone and he did not tell me anything to do about it and another Dr., a friend, told me the stone could be infected causing my UTIS. He did an exam which hurt and didnt even palpate where I was hurting. I was so flustered when I left I knew I would never return. My husband agreed. I wanted to share my experience with other women who may be seeking care from this provider. Dont waste your time. I got up for an early appointment and drove an hour for this? I do NOT recommend the doctor. I would not even call him a physician. I think highly of the medical hospital he is with but they would be wise to give him the boot!Robin D.

Best doctor I have ever had. He has always been so accommodating and friendly and makes sure to explain everything in detail. I have been with him since 2011 and will stay with him until he retires. I am one of his younger patients and he is very sensitive to that. I highly recommend him to anyone. He changed my life.

Everyone in Dr Porters office was very friendly and welcoming. Dr Porter took time with me and answered all my questions. He was very informative and knowledgeable and he made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend him !

Dr. Porter is exceptional! I am pleased with the services provided. He performed surgery and follow up appointments for me. He and his staff are awesome.

Terrible! Dr. barely spoke with us after the surgery, very cold and arrogant. I was never seen for a follow up visit by him until literaly almost a year to date. I have had complecations the whole time and have just been prescribed one medication after another, which none of them worked. Finally, when he did see me I dont even think he could even remember me, in fact I know! He prescibed another med and said to come back after a week or so if it didnt work, it didnt, scheduled the appt. and then thay didnt even have me on the schedule. After being seen by another Dr., he said everything in my stomach is messed up and that I would need another surgery to correct his damage. I have been bleeding and having so many complications. He did the same test as Dr. Porter and thats all Porter said was that I looked a little irritated! For real, after a year of discomfort and another Dr.s opinion, he knows he has messed up but will not take accountability for it!!!

WONDERFUL! NO recovery pain unless I overdid it. I just had my annual (one year post-op) with my OB/GYN and there is no evidence of further prolapse. Pick Dr. Porter!

Very knowledgeable and caring he took the time to listen to me and answer all of my questions. I know I am in good hands if I need to see him again!

My experience at Dr Porters office was a pleasant one, his staff was also friendly and kindThe Dr. also called my home with results of a test and this eased my mind I appreciated the treatment I received I would reccomend this dictor to anyone who needa this type of doctor

Dr Porter may have a little of a bad bedside manner but he is a very knowledgeable Dr.

Dr Porter and his staff are very professional.He is a excellent surgeon.

The staff were very nice. I did have have a long wait, but there were some very elderly there that may have needed more time.

Since I been theere only once I would say its a giendly place but I will reserve aany other comments until later.
