Dr James was very pleasant. He took plenty of time to explain the details of my issues and I never felt like he was rushing to get out the door! Highly recommend him and his nurse was extremely personable as well.

My appointments were for what are notoriously less than comfortable procedures. The front office staff were friendly and welcoming, the nurses were attentive and helped me feel more relaxed and Dr James was wonderful at both explaining everything and performing the procedures. This is my third time having this done and it was by far the least uncomfortable that it has been.

Suan Brown saved my life - I went in for a pregnancy confirmation appointment on May 16. My pregnancy was confirmed, and Suan asked if I had time for an ultrasound. From the ultrasound, Susan thought I may have a cornual pregnancy, which, left untreated, can cause life-threatening bleeding.She immediately sent me to a specialist for confirmation, and that specialist rushed me in for emergency surgery that day. Susans expertise, quick actions, and care not only saved my life but also significantly impacted my life. I am forever grateful to her and thankful to have been her patient that day.

Wonderful office staff, best nurses. Dr Gourley has been my doctor for over 10 years. He is compassinate, through, listens and encourages. Unfortunately he is retiring. He has already set me up with one of his team doctors so my journey continues with this fabulous practice.

Awful. First I was discriminated against from the time I walked in the door. I went for an ultrasound. The technician was very rude she ignored my conversation an questions about my baby. Usual they collect a urine sample, not at this visit. I was giving the option by one car provider that entered the room offering a testing for a blood sample that will tell you if your child has Down syndrome an the baby gender.Shortly after the same lady was instructed to go an take the information from me an told me that I wasn’t eligible for the testing, I’ve called several Atrium Health Obgyn doctors in the surrounding area all of them said that should have never happened an that I was indeed eligible for the testing, I believe because it’s a repeat c-section number 6 that they are providing me poor health because they don’t want to deliver my baby. I will sue whoever need be for my equality. If your black a receive NC Medicaid I don’t recommend you go to this physician they don’t care for their African American patients the same as the other races that attend the same clinic. Arianna Curaso was the individual that did my ultrasound it was the most uneasy visit I was ignored an I walked out with the same information I walked in with.

I’ve been going here for 3 years and have always felt welcomed by the providers. They listen and I don’t feel judged by any questions I have. I would recommend this practice to anyone new to the area.

Saw Dr. Caruso at Charlotte OBGYN and was not impressed. I had specifically requested an appointment with an experienced doctor who knew a lot about my particular medical condition. She did not. Dr. Caruso was too busy showing off her memorization of her medical textbooks and lecturing me about a condition Ive had for years to bother to find out my current symptoms, what I already knew, or offer any actual treatment. She spent 90% of my appointment talking at me and asked very few questions. I did not feel heard, cared about, nor as if she had a clue how to help me. It was an extremely disappointing experience.On a positive note, the nurse (Keisha, I think) was wonderful! If only she could train the doctor how to treat patients.

I am writing this review while recovering from my second surgery from endometriosis from a more capable haptic method surgeon. Dr Hansen Lindner gave us so much assurance that she is an endometriosis expert and that ablation/cauterization is the best procedure to remove my endometriosis. I had my surgery with her in 2022. I should have done my research. She claimed to be an expert and that she does the type of surgery she did to me to a lot of her patients with the same case and her success rate is high. I totally believed her. BIGGEST MISTAKE. Not only did the ablation/cauterization procedure that she did on me did not help me at all, but made it worse. With the procedure she did, my uterus has burns and more endometriosis growth from the splashing of the burning technique that she did. All she said to my husband after surgery was that she was not able to do anything with my uterus and that I will just have to live with endometriosis or be on birth control (were trying to get pregnant, btw). I hope someone who has been diagnosed with endometriosis/adenomyosis will read this and learn from my experience. Please do you research and be your own advocate. I am grateful I found another surgeon out of state who not only able to reconstruct my misshapen uterus (Dr Hansen Lindner didnt tell me this), remove my deep endo and adenomyosis, and unblock my tubes (another condition that Dr Hansen Lindner was not able to do anything about).I really wish doctors would not give out false, out dated information to patients like what this doctor did to me. Maybe she is good for a different OBGYN condition but she is definitely NOT and Endometriosis expert!

They are the best always friendly fast and always address any concern. Never feel like Im being overlooked no matter how busy they are.

I went in, very nervous as a new patient. I was treated very kindly. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I am so glad I took my friends advice to come here. Dr. Caruso is truly amazing and caring. She makes me very comfortable!!!

Dr. James is AWESOME! Dont judge him based on the time it takes to get in to see him. Good docs spend TIME with their patients. If you want the same treatment, be sure to be understanding when its someone else that needs the time. Patience is a virtue and Dr. James thinks his patients are a virtue!

First time at this location and everyone was very friendly. Dr. Metz was very thorough, took her time and answered all of my questions.

The ultrasound tech was very ruff. I felt pain for almost a week. The MD was nice but not comfortable with my choices.

Dr. Hansen-Lindner is thorough and compassionate and well versed in the complicated matters of womans health. I have been a patient for years and am so grateful for her thoughtful care. I am extremely confident in the care I receive at CLT OBGYN and highly recommend Dr. Hansen-Lindner.

Everyone is always warm and welcoming. Hallie is so kind, patient and really listens. I am so grateful to have been recommended to this team and Hallie specifically.

The only reason I give 3 stars is because of atrium affiliation. I’m a high risk pregnant mother. Currently 20 weeks and haven’t been back in 12 weeks due to appointment cancellations by office. I went in today to get medical records so I can see a different doctor. Kaitlynn in the front desk was so kind (unlike the others we’ve encountered) she was very knowledgeable and I’m thankful she helped us out the best way she knew how. Thank you for your support and kindness.

I was pleased with this visit. Waited no longer than 5 min. in the waiting room. Waited maybe 5-10 min. in the room to see the Dr. The room wasnt freezing, actually warm. I was in & out. The Dr. was very pleasant 😊

Great doctors and Staff. I had my son there and the doctors were caring. I had natural birth and I never felt pushed or rushed by the doctors or nurses after almost 3 hours or pushing, to deliver my baby with other options. I developed gestacional diabetes and the entire team was amazing. Being an “older mom” it made me feel safe to have such a great team at the practice and in the hospital. Thank you for all your hard work and to Doctor James !

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Makemson for several years. He has gone above and beyond to make sure I’m taken care of. I came to him originally struggling with severe bleeding and not getting help and answers from other doctors, but he didn’t hesitate to help me and get me on a better path with a much needed surgery and excellent regular care since then. He is patient and takes the time to answer each question I may have. He genuinely cares. He is by far the best gynecologist I’ve ever had!

There is no one better than Dr. James and Dr. Pekman. They are amazing!

My visit for my yearly exam was set up as a very pleasant experience. This was from intake at the front desk to the nurse that brought me to the room, to the visit with my doctor, Leslie Hansen-Lindner. She is very thorough and kind.

In this day and age of rushing and expedited everything, Dr. James takes the time to connect and talk to his patients. His professional demeanor is unsurpassed. He is thorough, caring and knowledgeable. I feel lucky to have Dr. James as my doctor.

I was very pleased with how courteous and genuine the front staff were. Furthermore my care was very thorough and gentle. I didn’t feel like I was being rushed nor did I feel like my concerns where invalid.

They randomly stopped filling my birth control pills - and kept saying I had to make an appointment in order for them to refill my birth control. Thing is, I just had my annual appointment for that very reason, 4 months prior to all of this. They would not return calls either - not even the pharmacy I use could get ahold of anyone. I was out of birth control for three weeks. I ended up changing practices and got an IUD simply because I dont want to deal with more of this in the future. You dont mess with peoples birth control - thats highly irresponsible and neglectful. At my new GYN, they literally saw in my records that I DID have my annual like I had been saying, and also could not understand why my birth control was not being filled.

Top notch facility with outstanding staff and providers. Have found the best care and expertise with Hallie Lyon.

Dr. James is so awesome. He’s polite, professional, listens without interrupting. He’s a straight shooter and tells me exactly what’s going on. It’s taken a long time to find an awesome obgyn but I’m glad I did! The office staff and nurses make it a pleasant experience as well.

Dr James, front desk staff, phlebotomists, and ultrasound techs are wonderful. I also see Dr Hansen occasionally and she is great too. Most of the nurses are nice but some could be better about introducing themselves/bedside manner.

Really enjoy the staff here, and the blood lab nurse was super sweet as well when I went to take my additional testing. Front desk is always friendly, and nurses/Drs are always respectful!

I have been going to this office for 3+ years and have had a great experience with the front office staff (they are so nice and they remember you, and you can talk to them about insurance stuff) and with many of the doctors. I was with them through my entire pregnancy and they were great! Dr. Pixley, Dr. Hansen Lindner are awesome as is Dr. Makemson who delivered my baby. I had a wonderful, calm delivery experience because of him and the amazing nurses at CMC-Main. In the office, sometimes there is a wait but usually theyll let you know; other times there was no wait!

The staff is Absolutely wonderful! Everyone is so kind, helpful and understanding. I look forward to my next visit!

I have been going to this office for 18 years with Dr. Makemson as my primary doctor. I have received excellent care from him, as well as other doctors, and nurses for regular exams, health concerns, and four pregnancies. The doctors are respectful and caring. I truly trust them! I don’t mind the times I have to wait because I know that Dr. Makemson is going to listen to my concerns and throughly explain anything I need to know.

Dr.Hansen-Lindner is a great listener, asks me questions & for my input. She’s empathetic, very knowledgeable…She’s the BEST! Referred many friends to her.

The front office is very friendly. The back office employees are rude. Maybe my 9 am appt was too early, because the employee who called my name to take me to the exam room, was definitely not a morning person. Is it too much to ask that someone actually greet you with something mundane like Good Morning? If I didnt love my Dr. I would have been gone long ago. Actually have gone to another location to avoid this staff.

I can’t rave enough about this place, from the front desk staff, to the nurses, to the drs/midwives, the technicians, the check out desk staff….thank you for being so amazing!

The front desk is rude!! This office is extremely expensive.... They want you to pay 230 the first time and then 100 dollars per vist when you are expecting a baby. My insurance is excellent and covers almost everything with no copays. My insurance company told me I didnt have to pay anything because I was covered and that i should find a doctor or office that is understanding and that would set up a payment plan after birth.Instead of paying 1500 upfront just to get refunded a year later... This place is not worth the money... They are so rude with a nasty attitude.

I have been coming here for years and since moving 3 years ago still drive over an hour to come back because I like Hallie so much and trust her and this practice!

The office was running about 25 minutes behind for my appointment. The CA who greeted and took me back was super friendly and nice as well as Dr. Lyon. One nurse was very abrasive and barged in during my exam and slammed the door to my room after I asked to speak to the doctor again for clarification. Due to this, I will not to return to this specific office.

I switched from Rankins Obgyn which I will not reccomed other than DR Bohmer pretty much as they want to do surgeries on you and tell you to take out female parts as the first Option ! I would rate this place 4 to 5 stars as I don’t feel like a cattle call here although, I’ve had 4 appointments here and each time I’ve waited 30 to 40 plus minutes to be seen with no updates and no apology from the doctor who had me wait. That’s after I’ve made appointments !!!! I said something to the office manager hoping this doesn’t continue. The staff out front doesn’t inform you of any late issues as you sit and wait.

Very nice staff and good place to be. Doctor Gourley is very professional, caring and sensitive person. Dont matter where he goes, i always would look for him. Very good gynecologist!!!.

Its unfortunate that I refuse to ever be a patient of this OB office because I do like several of the doctors (Dr James, Dr Pixley, Dr Persavich, Dr Wicker are all great). However, their policies, operations, and administrative practices are atrocious. Ill try and be brief with why they are so bad.After prenatal care with my 1st child (which was just average), I almost changed OBs with my 2nd pregnancy, but since I knew and liked the doctor, I stayed with them. Bad decision on my part. My son is almost 3 months old and Im still correcting billing issues with them. I had insurance on file with them my entire pregnancy, which they had billed for lab work. But when it came to the final $4700 bill for total care and delivery, they didnt file insurance and caused the hospital to list me as self pay which has spiraled into self pay for every little lab and other office that performed care while I was at the hospital. They finally submitted an insurance claim after they refused to schedule my IUD insertion until I paid the $4700 balance. Then they actually sent me a bill with my son as the patient claiming that one of the doctors performed a circumcision on my son 11 days after he was born. My sons circumcision was done at the hospital by an Urologist and has NEVER been a patient of the Charlotte OBGYN. Im still fighting the charges.In addition to incompetent billing staff, appointments are always running behind, they schedule appointments at the wrong locations, and the site manager is rude and just plain unpleasant. I think a lot of their issues is due to being a Carolinas Healthcare facility, which is a horrible system. I could go on but I think Ive made my point.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Dr James, and if it was just him I would give 5 stars for him and the nurses I experienced while I was there. But unfortunately it’s not just them. I had my first pregnancy confirmation appointment with them, and told dr James I was going to see Piedmont for this pregnancy to deliver at Pineville CMC instead of Main. He said no problem and he looks forward to seeing me after the baby was born. fast forward after 1 appointment with piedmont and I was unhappy with their care so I tried to call dr James for medical advice about being sick. Not only would they not connect me with dr James, but they then proceeded to tell me that since I left them, (for ONE appointment at the other location -which is still in Carolinas heath care), I was not welcome back for this pregnancy and they would not give me any medical advice. So... pretty much you hold a grudge and now I can’t even see my OB?! What are we 12!? Well I won’t be going back there after the pregnancy after the way I was treated. Even if I do like dr James. Not worth it.

Convenient location to Ballantyne and small, clean office. Check in and front office staff is helpful and quick, never waited more than 5-10 mins and have visited multiple times. Ultrasound tech is very genuine and kind and Dr. James is great.

All the staff and my doctor were very friendly and very thoughtful. I was put at ease going for the first time.

My provider was great however over a month later I receive information that I owe $500. They charged me a copay even though it was for a well woman’s exam (billed wrong) and they sent my PAP to their internal lab even after telling them and them making a copy of my ins. Card that all lab specimens go to quest diagnostics in order for it be be covered. I have already transferred my pcp and GI doctors from cmc/atrium because they are crooks.

Been coming to see Dr.Beurskens for over 25 yrs. She’s a wonderful caring Dr.Its hard to find a good Dr that will listen. It’s hard to see her go. I wish her a wonderful retirement. A kind and outstanding Dr. Going to miss her....

Worst place in the worldI have CANCER and due to the radiation treatments I cannot become pregnant or I will medically be forced to have an abortion.I tried explaining this to the poor excuse of a doctor that I saw. She tried pushing other methods of birth control on me, which means she gets paid more, she didnt care about me only how much money she would make off meMost doctors just prescribe things because they get paid to do it not because its what you need BE CAREFUL AND DONT TRUST ANYONE especially not dr. BeckenwhothehellcaresAnd then I recieved a letter saying that the appointment I had scheduled was cancelled and I was no longer allowed there as a patientI will be seeking legal action against them

It’s just a lab appointment, but the checkin and lab service were excellent. I also got the lab results and doctor note very quickly.

Welcoming, friendly and caring. The staff and doctors make what is most women dreaded exam a not so difficult thing to do.

The staff is pretty personable and knowledgeable. The office is small and cozy, and the location is fairly private. I will continue to go here, especially since I work in the area.

The Manager does not attend to me and tells me to contact me by phone and they do not comply, they make arbitrary decisions on the account without assuming responsibilities, I totally do not recommend it since they are not willing to resolve the issues of the patients
