Planned Parenthood - Kendall Health Center

Wonderfully patient, accommodating and compassionate! I was having a mild panic attack over the recent legal changes and staff was very understanding and supportive. I was taken care of within 30 minutes to obtain my birth control. I’m leaving the office well informed and received excellent care! I highly recommend this office!

I went to get an IUD placed and got the Mirena IUD. It was my first time getting it inserted and I just want to say the workers there are amazing. Front desk ladies are super nice and Dr. Grace Santana was very informative and walked me through the whole process, definitely made me feel more calm and less nervous about the whole thing. I will definitely go there for any future procedures :)

My experience with planned parenthood has been excellent. They are taking of me, they are taking care of my birth control, they treated me in a good way. I have no idea why I read a lot of bad reviews explaining something that I didn’t see on that office. The staff in the office are nice and pleasant, for me ;,…. they deserve 5 stars review with no doubt. ☺️❤️🙏🏻

Second time here in a few months and have had a pleasant experience with all the staff members each time. I was extremely nervous for my first ultrasound, but my technician Jenny was an angel and made me feel safe and at ease. She talked me through every step and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. I very much appreciated her kindness and patience. Thank you, Jenny!

I had originally booked an appointment with an endocrinologist at UM, but they didn’t notify me that i needed prior-authorization. i felt pretty desperate because the next possible visit wasn’t until the next year. luckily, i decided to go to planned parenthood for my estrogen treatment.i had never felt as comfortable as i had with NP kirkland and MD badell. thanks to them, my gender dysphoria has not just significantly approved but i may soon be getting bottom surgery.i am, to say the least, a hard stick when it comes to blood draws. even phlebotomists usually have to default to a hand draw and at times wrist draws. the blood draws with them weren’t ever painful, with the exemption of one wrist draw which naturally is painful regardless, and they were always really kind to me. even when i felt lightheaded and dizzy they made sure that i did not pass out, got me what i needed to improve and gave me a snack and drink to take with me also just in case.it’s rare to have faith in south florida when it comes to the treatment of transgender patients, regardless of it being medical transitioning or psychiatric assessment or psychotherapy. with that said though, this place has given me faith and hope and though i’ve been on hormones for little over a year, im even a B-cup now, so clearly they’re doing something right.

DR.Bedell Marila jorge & nadeje were so great too me ! They explained everyting to me and the dr was super talktive and talked me through everything i coudent thank her enough . Much love to this team

Absolutely love this place. The doctors and the medical assistance are very quick and fast and very understanding. I will highly recommend this place.

I went to this location yesterday for a consultation at 11:50. they made my boyfriend wait outside for the entire 4 hours we had to wait because they overbooked appointments to make up for no call/no show appointments and everyone had actually shown up that day. they made everyone with a partner have them wait outside no matter how long it was taking which can be very upsetting given the environment and circumstances that some people visit this particular clinic for. not having your support within arms reach was upsetting. today, i had another appointment at a different location who had made me aware that i was not given all of the information i was supposed to recieve at this location. they give you a folder of information and reading material to look over and they go over the first page of said folder with you and thats it. at my appointment today, i was asked a question i genuinely could not answer because that information was not given to me at the kendall location. very scary and possibly detrimental to another persons health. clinics like this should provide you all the information to make the most informed choice possible and this location did not. the woman at the florida mango office took my information and i believe is reporting this incident to their head office. i would avoid if possible

I came in today originally just to do blood work and leave a urine sample. Upon discussion it was determined that I was due for a pap smear. Although I was originally scheduled for a very short appointment, this facilitys staff were gracious enough to make room and do a more complete wellness visit for me (even though they did NOT need to do this today). The girls at the front desk were kind and swift, Olga did a phenomenal job intaking me and drawing my blood, and APRN Kirkland not only clearly cares about educating her patients, but was GENTLE down there! very grateful for all of them!

If I could leave ten stars I would! i’ve been coming to this clinic for roughly three years now. The staff is kind, patient, and informative. They work hard to make sure everyone is attended in a timely manner. During my last visit i had the pleasure of being seen by MA Jenny and NP Grace who were both lovely!! Even the front desk staff is amazing, I always enjoy talking with Nadje whenever i visit the clinic. These humans help create a safe environment and help relieve some of the nerves associated with doctors visits. Given the situation in Florida and the stigma associated with planned parenthood clinics i feel like people underestimate the work being done here. They provide everything from yearly wellness checks to STI testing and treatment and amazing medical resources and information! This place is a safe haven for me. Grateful to still have the option to be seen somewhere where I know I won’t be judged. Thank you all for all the hard work you do 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

My experience at this office was excellent. Everyone treated me with such kindness and respect. The nurse practitioner took amazing care of me and made sure that I was comfortable and took time to explain everything that the doctor had said. The front desk girls were very nice and compassionate towards my financial situation. Thank you Planned Parenthood of Kendall.

My experience with doctor Grace Hernandez was rather extremely unpleasant. I went to the clinic to get an IUD inserted (Paragard). When the procedure of inserting the device began, she did not let me know when she was going to insert the speculum inside of me, it took me by complete surprise. Neither did she add any type of lube to help insert it. This has never happened to me before. Every time I have gone to other gynecologists I have been treated with more respect and care. They have let me know when they were going to start up the procedures and what they were going to do. But she definitely did not. So as soon as I noticed she had done this, (since it took me by SURPRISE) I asked her to stop. I literally said “pero ya va!!”, like, wait hold on a second!!!! It obviously hurt, I’m not used to be put in hard metal things inside of my v*****, specially when it’s not lubricated. I got nervous and my legs started shaking for the abruptness of the insertion. She asked me to calm down, at the same time she left the heavy piece of metal hanging IN there. How do you really expect someone to relax when they have a speculum inside of them just hanging there for a minute? A speculum is not lightweight. I feel like she could and should have at least hold it so that I could feel less pressure at that moment. I have a retroverted uterus, and I told the doctor before I even laid on the gynecological stretcher. She seemed to not care, given that she was rather abrupt in her treatment towards me. Evenmore, she han assistant. So she definitely could have taken the time to treat me more gently, specially when this was going to be my first inception of an IUD device. Overall I had a terrible experience at “planned parenthood”. There are doctors out there who would treat patients with more care and be more communicative with them. I would not come back to this clinic or recommend anyone either.

I had a wonderful experience here. I needed birth control and the nurse practitioner sat with me and went over all of my options until we found one that was best for me. The staff was extremely nice, helpful, and the facility was very clean. I felt comfortable and cared for. I would highly recommend this location.

Kirkland is an extremely knowledgeable NP. I always choose this location to go to because I trust her. I feel extremely comfortable going to see her and I never feel embarrassed to ask any question. She is very honest and blunt, which I like. She is not afraid to tell it like it is. She truly cares about her patients and I highly recommend going to see her. The wait times can get long if you have an appointment later in the day, but I dont mind waiting because I know she never rushes through her appointments. I feel lucky that I found her!

Worst place we have ever been in our ENTIRE life… My wife had an appointment at 1:30 PM and she was seen at 3:00 PM and we ended up leaving this place at 4:30 PM. I also call my wife on the phone and the nurse took her cell phone from her and she told me in a very RUDE way to wait for me and if she didnt like me, I should leave. This is THE WORST PLACE and THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE we have ever had in our lives. Why do you make appointments if you dont keep your word?

This office is terrific. I was a bit apprehensive at first. But the staff was very professional and warm. They work to maintain the highest level of confidentiality. The M.A. who runs the front desk is so sweet and works very hard to make sure you are taken care of. The N.P. is THE BEST!!! She works quickly, but covers all bases. She knows EXACTLY what she is doing. I NEVER write reviews on Google. But I feel this is a very important one to write. They should get more funding and have more hours of operation during the week. Its wonderful to have a place to go for proper medical treatment and education that is also affordable.

Last year while trying to schedule an appointment with providers that took my insurance wasnt less than a 6 month wait and super far from my home! I was skeptical at first, but coming to planned parenthood for my annual checkups was the best decision i could have made! Im always able to schedule appointments when i need them! The staff is really friendly and this is my second year being seen by Dr. Corrine, who always makes you feel at ease! I recommend her and the Kendall Center to everyone i know!

My visit to this office was wonderful. The intake process was super smooth, simple and the ladies were very attentive. The medical assistant... my new favorite person, Lianet, she explained EVERYTHING, caring, nice, knowledgeable, amazing !!!! Definitely recommend this office, very clean and organized.

Dr. Kirkland is amazing! Ive never felt more comfortable talking about my lady parts with a stranger. Shes friendly, understanding, nonjudgmental and most importantly she LISTENS TO YOU! I wish she could be my doctor for all my needs!Front desk ladies were also very nice and welcoming.

On the beginning, I went to this place thinking that will be only one time visit. Why? Because I choose them only because they were able to accommodate an appointment immediately for me and I was going on a trip and I didnt want to miss time from work. However my experience in this place was much superior of what I expected.They are amazing! Very profesional, non-judgmental, offered alternatives, took the time to listen to my concerns and answer all my questions. The nurse (from Venezuela) is great and the nurse practitioner made me feel very comfortable. She is very profesional funny and she is a gringa that speaks perfect Spanish. I have health insurance and I can have other choices, but I am glad I choose this place. I will definitely return and I strongly recommend this place.

Very nice and professional. I come here for my annual check ups so Planned parenthood is literally a lifesaver because I don’t have insurance so it makes it affordable for me to make sure I’m healthy. I’ve gone to different locations and all of them have been amazing.

Every part of my visit was wonderful -- the office manager, intake process, and the nurse practitioner. Everyone is warm and knowledgeable. I went in for regular exams and also with specific questions about how to manage some symptoms that have been getting out of hand.The nurse practitioner was very thorough and helped make sense of all the symptoms Id been suffering through and how best to treat/manage them. For example, something so simple as explaining that pain meds should be taken ahead of your periods ETA to manage severe cramps was news to me -- no doctor had ever taken the time to let me in on that tip!Its rare to say you left a doctors office happy, but I did! I felt heard and cared for and finally have a clearer understanding of all these symptoms Ive been having. Thank you!!

Would love to leave a five star review, but it’s impossible to reach these people for very important information and services. My fiancé has been in need of a letter from them for a month now after being their patient for almost a year, and still hasn’t even gotten through to someone. Both him and I have called on multiple occasions only to be left on hold for half an hour. And leaving a call back number only means that they’ll call you, leave you on hold for a while, and then hang up.

Excellent Staff they let you feel welcome , I would surely recommend this place to anyone. Everyone was nice, MA sophia was nice Keep up the Excellent work.

Worse place I’ve ever been to they had me waiting almost 3 hours ! Over 50 people in a small space waiting area. It’s ridiculous the rep had no idea why I was there but ask was I paying with a debit or credit ! Do not recommend at all

I waited 3 weeks for my appt and they wasting my time. Horrible staff. The staff had no customer service experience. This place should closed own and rehire everyone. Zero consideration for your time. All they care is to bill your insurance without providing any service you really need.

I was on the phone for THREE HOURS and they finally answer and the lady was asking me a question , mid way answering she just hung up 😐 and then on top of that I tried recalling or thought they would call back and nothing and then the second time I called back I was otp for another hour and the lady picks up and just ended up doing the same thing I’m pretty sure it was the same lady that answered the first time but horrible service , where is the help when you need it ? Don’t hire people who don’t want to work or that don’t care enough about helping.

I drove an hour and half to planned parenthood to be told they couldn’t see me. A waste of my time and money. Customer service there was awful, and told me I couldn’t be seen for another 8 weeks. I would not recommend this location at all. Staff is inconsiderate.

Bad customer service, I am really disappointed I had to ask for a sick day at my job for nothing. They said they left me voicemail but that’s not true you could’ve call me or send an email about the issue. Really upset with this location.
