The behavior of the staff in Dr. Martinezs office towards patients is unacceptable and unprofessional. While its understandable that doctors and nurses, like everyone else, may experience emotions such as insecurity, anxiety, depression, aggressiveness, or narcissism, which can sometimes manifest as rudeness, it does not excuse such conduct. Additionally, cultural, generational, and gender biases can also contribute to disrespectful behavior. In my case, I believe these biases played a significant role in the unprofessional treatment I received from her nurse and receptionist. When I brought my concerns to Dr. Martinez about her staffs behavior, she outright dismissed them, stating she did not believe me. I find it absurd that she would think I would take time out of my day to address false allegations. Furthermore, her nurse becomes upset when you request to schedule appointments to discuss results with Dr. Martinez, opting instead to loudly relay your results over the phone and insisting that an appointment with the doctor is unnecessary. I have been publicly embarrassed by Dr. Martinezs staff on multiple occasions when I called simply to request an appointment, only to have my medical information carelessly shared over the phone while my phone was on speaker. I will never return to this office. They show no discretion and have no respect for patients. During a recent visit, they discussed my records and previous visit openly in the waiting room, with other patients present. When I requested privacy, the receptionist became upset, walked away from me, and slammed the door in my face.

BEWARE! Seems like a one man shop. Staff is sweet but seems to only be Dr. Martinez in the practice. So, if she gets called to the hospital and you have an appointment, you will have to reschedule. For me this happened twice in a row and the 3rd time we sat waiting for over 1+ hour for the doctor to get back before she could start seeing other patients.Outside of that, the doctor ran a few tests, I received a call with results. Standard. 2 months later I received another call regarding my full results that were received 1.5 months earlier. I was told since youre not the only patient, it took the doctor some time to review these. It really seems like she doesnt have bandwidth for the number of patients she has. Thankfully my results arent critical but I am 100% changing doctors.

I was going to visit Alba since my insurance dropped my previous office. I had an appointment and was called the day before for it to be canceled due to her having to go to the hospital. Today as Im writing I was supposed to visit her yet again. I came in on time, and was advised I didnt confirm and that shes left for the day for the hospital. How many appointment was looked over because I didnt call to confirm. I work long shifts and cannot take personal calls and by the time I get to them, its after 8pm which they are closed. No email confirmation nor text was sent. In this day and age, I think that should be implemented.The girl at the front had the audacity to ask, so you want to cancel? LOL maam what choice do I have. You have an unprofessional, unreliable, rinky dinky office.All in all, thank you to my insurance for reinstating my original Drs office that Ive seen for 7yrs.Do not go to this office. Unless you have all the time in the world to wait on her beckon call, it aint worth it.

I had been looking for a new GYN for years since my insurance changed and I finally found someone I felt comfortable with when I went to Doctor Martinez. She was super nice, informative and I felt very comfortable talking to her about anything! Thank you Doctor Martinez!

Dr Alba Martinez is the best OB/GYN. She is super nice and committed with her patients. I strongly recommend her.

I feel blessed that Dr. Martinez is my Gynecologist, she has an incredible amount of knowledge, patience and kindness like no other GYN that I went before.She removed my IUD (Mirena) and inserted a new one on the same visit. She was so delicate and walked me through the process with empathy and understanding since I was nervous and afraid of the pain.It took her a few minutes only and she made sure to ask how I was doing during the process.Appointments are easy to get, the office is neat and clean and the staff is fantastic.If you are thinking about seeing her as your Dr. you’ll have a great experience.

Dr. Alba Martinez is one of the BEST doctors Ive had in my life. She is genuine, loving and cares about her patients well being. I really dont know how she got any bad reviews, because every appointment was spectacular. The girls in the front know what they are doing, except sometimes they mess up apt. scheduling, but hey, they are doing a million things at once. The medical assistant is also VERY friendly.Whenever you call, it is never automated, the call goes straight to the girls in the front. The environment is very comforting. The overall experience has been amazing and very professional. Dr. Alba Martinez is such a nice lady and the hospital stay wouldnt have been the same if it wasnt for her. She answers as many questions as you want to ask and is never in a rush. (Also, my C-section scar was tiny and very well done). I recommend her for all pregnant women and I sure will be back for her care, for my second child.

I was a patient of Dr. Martinez from week 5 of pregnancy. I was diagnosed with Hyperemesis very early and was subsequently put on a Zofran pump to control the vomiting. Initially, she was accommodating. However, after my Hyperemesis did not meet her perceived timeline of being gone after my first trimester, she was no longer helpful since her need to be right supersedes her ability to care for patients. To protect my job, I asked for her to complete paperwork that would justify the absences I may have due to being hospitalized ( in my first and second trimesters, there have been 6). She would only complete the paperwork for 6 weeks to complete the first trimester. I accepted this and submitted it. However, during my second trimester, I am still on the pump and have been hospitalized, I asked for the form again, and according to her perceived timeline, I would only need it for 4 weeks. This time I did not just accept this because theres no way to know how long this will truly last every womans experience is different. After begging her, well, her office manager who would speak for her since she could not be bothered to get on the phone, she agreed to complete it, but she did not correctly complete the form, so my employer would not accept it until it was corrected. I called her office once again, but this time she refused to correct the form because, according to her perceived timeline, I would only need it for 4 more weeks. I am changing OBs and will find someone whose ego does not get in the way of caring for patients.

I highly recommend Dr. Alba T. Martinez. Aside from her outstandingmedical education and Impressive credentials, she was very theral and informative during my annual check up. From a personal perspectiveshe is a delightful down to earth individual.Even though I arrived late they were able to accommodate me, with very little wait. Her staff is professional and attentive, and for the first timein many years I did not have to wait in a freezing room without my clothes.Thank- you for a great experience.

This Doctor Alba is the worst experience I have had with a doctor. She is not polite, she is dismissive and treat you like she doesn’t care about your health concerns. It’s obvious she does not love what she do. I went there looking for a doctor OBGYN to guide me to the process of trying to get pregnant. She did not answer any of my concerns, she was in a hurry and her the way she was looking at me was judgmental and like she was tired of listening to me and wanted to leave. And we were in the room for around 5 minutes. She did not examine me or give any recommendations for me to get pregnant.In other hand the office was really dirty, the room where they took my vitals was nasty with a bunch of urine sample cups open.I wouldn’t trust a doctor like that to take care of a pregnant women, not even to take care of an animal.

SHE IS THE BESTTTTT!!!! My first OB which was Dr. Orlando Leon was strict on doing my twins c-section knowing I didnt have any complications at all so for my well being and how uncomfortable I felt about it I decided to change doctors. My friend recommended me to her and I switched and Im sooooo glad i did! She is the best at what she does! She knew i wanted to deliver vaginal and 4 and half hours into labor I push my babies out! She was so supportive the whole time❤️ To anyone that is facing the same situation I would so recommend going to her!

By my 39 weeks I begged Dr. Martinez to induced me, because I was suffering from a very painful condition due to the pregnancy that didn’t let me sleep at night and I was very worried about the COVID-19 as well. Instead, she made me go all the way until my 41 weeks. She didn’t care that me and/or my baby could get the Coronavirus, instead she ordered me test and more test ( which I had to take at the hospital and potentially get the virus) to see how my baby was doing to keep me waiting. In addition, she didn’t even went to the hospital the day I delivered to be my doctor. She didn’t care about us at all. Due to her medical negligence I ended up with a c-section, and my baby was 10 days in the NICU room. I experienced the worst nightmare a new mom can have, due that I was not able to be with my baby for the first 24 hours, and then, I had to let my baby at the hospital with antibiotics for 10 days. I cried a lot and I felt very depressed because of that. And on top of that, no one called from her office to schedule any postpartum visit, like I was nothing.

I am super happy with Dr. Martinez. I have had several OB/GYN in the past and by far she is the best. The entire office staff is so nice & friendly. Dr Martinez is very personable as well which means a lot to me. I would recommend her to all my friends.

Incompetent staff and rude. After a week of waiting for my results I had to contact them, apparently thats how things are done according to the nurse they have there.They have my records but never seem to be on page on whats going.I am sure 1 of 10 have a had a great experience, and honestly after going to her for what it seems for five or six years for my annual exam I am pretty much done with this office.find another obgyn.

The doctor is very nice and I had a good experience with her, but her front office staff is rude and condescending. Additionally, they told me my insurance doesn’t cover a procedure and that I had to pay out of pocket or change the kind of procedure. I called the insurance and they advised that this was untrue they just didn’t follow the proper policy to get the authorization. When I advised the front office of this they told me that was the information they had and they wouldn’t speak to the insurance with me in the phone. When I asked to speak to the office manager they told me they didn’t have one and that the office in charge of getting the authrization will get back to me eventually, but that it would take at least a month for them to call me back if they do. I’m still waiting for a phone call after 3 months. I found another reputable gynecologist/ob office to follow the proper policies and everything was done correctly and efficiently. Don’t be fooled by this office which has much to be desired.

Im moving out of the state and wont be able to see Dr. Martinez anymore but WOW is she an amazing ob/gyno! Ive been seeing her for almost three years and she delivered my second child. Shes sweet, caring, sincere, and super knowledgeable! Im going to miss coming here, but will always recommend highly!!!

Alba Martinez was originally not supposed to be my doctor . I was in the hospital getting induced with my daughter and my doctor was Dr. Ayala. I really wanted a natural birtH when I confirmed with him that everything would be OK he said I would probably need a C-section since I was being induced . He was in a horrible mood that day apparently did two C-sections and then left early . The doctor that ended up taking his place was Alba Martinez . She then came in and insured me that she would do everything in her power to make sure the baby came out natural without a C-section . One sister pushing my daughter was out within 30 minutes . Alba Martinez was an amazing doctor it made me feel completely comfortable . I automatically switched my doctor to Alba Martinez . I normally do not write reviews but I feel everybody should know what I had went through.

Dr.Martinez is to the point, professional, does not make me feel uncomfortable at any moment. She gave me several options to my needs, gave me her professional opinion and allow me to choose based on educated information. I would totally recommend her. She resolved my concern as fast as the test results came in.PS To a previous reviewer, I doubt her testimonies are bogus, I have seen her massive wall of authentic baby photos from her patients.

I have been going to Dr. Martínez for over 11 years. I birthed two children with her. Her staff is amazing and she has the best bedside manner of any doctor I’ve ever been in the care of.

HORRIBLE DOCTOR.Do yourself a favor and do not go to this Doctor. I am stuck with a $200 bill because what I thought was maternity care was later billed as not maternity care. Oh yeah, and her diagnosis for the procedure was oh dont worry, we cannot do anything anyways since you are pregnant.Her knowledge base leaves much to be desired and her staff is about as useless as she is (not to mention rude and very unprofessional.)Horrible experience, I am in the middle of a pregnancy and looking for a new doctor because I have had it with this one.I believe any good review about her is written by either her or her staff because everyone that I talk to has a similar perception of her as I do.

Dr.Martinez is very sweet and helpful. She made sure if I had any questions and answered them and she well informed me of things I didn’t know. The front desk girl is sweet as well and I was seen fast and well taken care of. Thank you :)

I have been going to Dr. Martinez for years and had all 3 of my children under her care. She is very sweet and answers all your questions. Never had any issues with her.

I love Dr. Alba!! She’s such a sweet person and very caring for her patients. Her staff is amazing and they’re always willing to help with anything you need.

As soon as I walked into that office, I instantly regretted making a appoinment. I cancled right away. The office is filthy.... There were 10-15 extremely pregnant woman outside waiting to be seen by the one Dr. its just not a welcoming place for a first time mom.

Alba makes me feel so comfortable every visit. Everything was very clean and was treated wonderfully. Alba is very professional, highly recommend.

I have been trying to get an appointment and no one has made an effort to contact me after Ive faxed over all necessary paperwork. After 2 weeks of waiting and numerous phone calls, I was told that she just looked at the paperwork this morning. Very unorganized and very poor communication in this office. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

Horrible place. I had a colpo a year ago and it was the worse experience ever. All the personal were rude. The doctor didn’t even know why a needed the procedure. In addition they don’t even call you or any type of communication to give the results

Front office is extremely rude. Dr. Is ok... super quick in and out just how I like it. But wow, that front office is a revolving door and quite possibly the rudest bunch ever.

The doctor she is good and very good atención!But the front desk receptionist are very rude not polite, the waiting time is horrible, and when you ask any questions the just to rude .

I love this doctor. Very professional and friendly. The office staff is also very attentive. Easy to make medical appointments and the wait is not long. The doctor takes the time to answer all questions and concerns. He did a great job during my pregnancy and my c-section.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE YOU CAN HAVE WHEN LOOKING FOR A DOCTOR, MAINLY, ONE AS DELICATE AS A GYNECOLOGIST... I DIDNT EVEN GET TO REQUEST THE CONSULTATION, BECAUSE AFTER 3 CALLS, IN WHICH FIRST THEY ONLY ANSWERED AND HANGED UP AND THEN THEY LEFT ME THE HOLD FOR MORE THAN 10 MINUTES, I TRIED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THIS BUTCHER (THE CLINIC TITLE IS FOR PROFESSIONALS) AND I FOUND THE MOST RUDE, ABUSIVE, INSOLENT, PSADA AND MISEDICATED RECEPTIONIST THAT ONE CAN FIND... WHEN I COMPLAINED HIM FOR HIS POOR ATTENTION, HE LIMITED TO ANSWER ME YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY PATIENT, WE ARE VERY BUSY HERE (IT SHOULD BE MENTIONED THAT THE ONLY THING I WAS TRYING TO WAS WAS TO GET AN APPOINTMENT FOR WHICH THEY WERE GOING TO PAY FOR, IT WAS NOT A CHARITY! TO HER RESPONSE, I JUST TOLD HER, I HAVE TO REPORT THIS TO SOMEONE, AND SHE ANSWERED WHATEVER AND HANGED UP... SO THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY IS THAT IF YOURE LOOKING FOR A DOCTOR, THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT PLACE, THIS ITS A BUTCHRY, WHERE RUDE PEOPLE WITH NO DESIRE FOR SERVICE WILL BE THE ONE WHO TAKE CARE OF YOU!!!
