He will be up front with you about the challenges you will face, and equally important, when it is time to change directions and try something else. He doesn’t just stick to the same protocol every round; he carefully evaluates how things went and makes adjustments to increase your chances of success.The road to our son was long, at times heartbreaking, and looked nothing like what I imagined. Dr. C. didn’t give up on me and suggested the alternative treatments that ultimately resulted in our little man.The staff at IVF Phoenix is amazing. They held me when I cried (which was a lot), called to check on my physical and emotional well-being, and became like extended family. You could not ask for a better clinic.

My husband (Ricardo)and I (Nancy) are beyond thankful to Dr. Couvaras and his amazing team. It only took us one attempt of IVF with Dr. Couvaras and we are now pregnant for the first time!!🤰🏻😇🥰🥹  We struggled in the past with infertility 11 years ago. Unfortunately, we failed IUIs and IVF in the past somewhere else. But we never lost hope. Until we came across with Dr. Couvaras and his team, he made it happen!! All of our both sides of the family are extremely thankful that we found the very BESSST doctor to help us achieve our goal of having a family of our own, and making our DREAMS of 11 years waiting come TRUE!🙏🙏😭Thank you, Dr. Couvaras and your wonderful team for always being there 24/7. Dr Couvaras knows what he is doing and throughout my long fertility journey, he checked all the boxes . Dr Couvaras is awesome. A real medical artist. He is the one who would say or ask me what can we do differently? even when all the evidence pointed towards just needing to do more cycles to find a euploid embryo. He was asking the question before I did. That attitude really put me at ease, I know Im in good hands here. I will also say that before we discussed IVF, Dr Couvaras thoroughly investigated the reasons behind my diagnosis, had countless tests done, even surgery, before moving into IVF. I never felt like IVF was being pushed on me. Also, I will say that my age was never brought up as a reason to not do IVF. Apparently, some clinics have arbitrary cut-off numbers for age, not because it makes sense for the patient, but because they dont want to hurt their statistics. I was given the choice of IVF with my own eggs at age 43/43.5. I was always asked what I wanted to do.I originally chose this clinic very much by intuition, mostly because they would answer their phones in a timely manner 95% of the time, and also because they seemed to be extremely well organized. After being cared for at this clinic for over a year and counting, going through countless tests, procedures and interactions, I can say that I am extremely satisfied overall. As with any long relationship though, one can expect that everyone will not be absolutely perfect at every interaction, and that is ok. We are all human. Ultimately, they are very responsive when you have a problem, they dont hide, they answer the phone, or your texts, or your portal messages, mostly in a timely manner. They also have an after-hour phone number for patients, and the person on the other end of that phone, usually Taylor, is always very responsive. Overall, the staff is great, awesome even. There has been moments where people were flat out outstanding. For example, when Dr Couvaras and his wife (she is the companys general manager) came in on a Saturday, just for me, after I messed up my medications dosages the day before and was freaking out to say the least. They came in to do an ultrasound and Dr Couvaras adjusted the rest of my cycle, and we were able to save and complete the cycle. Another example was when Dani (she no longer works there but was working in the billing department) spent countless minutes, probably a couple hours altogether, with me on the phone, explaining everything in detail, over and over again, multiple times over multiple days and weeks, because I had so many questions before I agreed to put my deposit down for IVF. This stuff is complicated, and I did not know as much about it as I do now, and I was very febrile at the idea of spending so much money. Without Danis empathic ear and compassionate answers, I dont think I would have gone through with it. She explained everything in a way I could understand it, and she did it over and over again, and surprisingly never showed any sign of impatience. It was because of those conversations, that I eventually became comfortable with the idea of going through IVF. Special shout outs to Keelyn, Lindsey, Erin, and Charissa: always nice and welcoming, and I have seen so much of them in the past year, they feel like friends. Taylor and Mary: I have not seen as much of them, but interacted a lot with them via text or phone. Always helpful and responsive. There are others that I have not seen as much and whose names I forget, but they are all a team, and that is important in any medical practice. I very much get a team vibe here. Anyways, I hope this review will help at least one person having to go through the daunting task of choosing a RE. I cant speak about the others you are checking out, but I can tell you if you choose Dr Couvaras, you will be in very, very, good hands. Take care, stranger.

All around terrible clinic, from start to finish. I made an appointment to see the doctor, they had me meet with the PA without my consent. They immediately were pushing IVF to sell a product without seeing any of my labs. The PA was clueless, and had to follow up with me after discussing with the doctor. I voiced my concerns over their methods and they just argued with me and refused to provide me with any legitimate solution. They are pathetic and should be ashamed of themselves. This is a sensitive situation for people and this clinic is taking advantage of vulnerable individuals in order to pad their pockets. They should be embarrassed.

We started our IVF journey in July of 2021 and successfully had our IVF baby April 2023 after only one transfer. The staff and Dr. C were extremely helpful and polite every time we were there, very informative also. They outlined everything and were very responsive when questions arrived. If I were to do IVF again I will be going back to IVF Phoenix. Hands down the best, I had consults by two other clinics in the valley and they were not as compassionate and just brushed everything off on being overweight. Dr. C not once mentioned weight loss as a requirement before starting any IVF processes, it was quite refreshing to not have that be the one and only thing you leave an appt with.

I found this to be an unpleasant experience due to the following reasons. Ive tried to stay as objective as possible and my review is in no way affected by the results of the IVF process (thats in mother natures hands). But these things they can control:- On several occasions the doctor was significantly late for our Zoom meetings. We all have lives here, your time is not more important than ours. Honor agreements and meetings.- When the NP was instructing us on the medication/shots process she was jittery and discombobulated. She even pricked herself with the syringe while instructing us on safety! I felt her head was somewhere else and her body was in manic overdrive.- We never really spent time with the same NP ever. It was always a rotation of individuals and we were constantly repeating ourselves which indicates to me they have a sloppy internal system.- One of the front desk staff members was disinterested and flat out condescending. Not just once... consistently enough that I mentioned it to the manager. Considering the amount of money were paying, you would think their front desk staff would treat us real nice like. But instead we were treated like two nerds trying to get into a hot night club.If I were to do this all over again I just cant see myself using IVF Phoenix again. We chose them for cost reasons but now I know where the cost savings went. For another round Id seek out a slightly more expensive place that has a better office culture, better internal organization and communications, and better trained NPs.Take this as just one mans experience, do your research and good luck!

IVF Phoenix and their staff are OUTSTANDING! Dr. C is an out of the box thinker and we have felt so confident going through this process with him as our doctor. Nicole, Taylor, Inna, Danny, Larrisa, Lenny and Mary have been SO supportive throughout this experience! This is not an easy journey and nothing is guaranteed. There is no team I would rather go through this process with, theyve become family! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for everything!!! My experience with Dr. Couvaras and his team has been exceptional. Courtney, who has been my main point of contact since October of last year is always so pleasant and patient with me. Many thanks to Lily at the Scottsdale office as well. I have had multiple appointments at both offices and after each one, I know I made the right choice.Dr. Couvaras is brilliant. He provides education, compassion, excellent care, individual attention and I’m not sure how he does it as I can only imagine that his workload is comparable to Elon Musk’s. He makes me want to better myself, the man is a genius and I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with him & his team.

Terrible experience! The doctor Couvaras has no patience for people who are new to this. You can notice that with just one visit. His office gets handles by his staff and important things got missed. I was never told about expected number of eggs even when i asked. I thought the result is close to expected until last day and later told by staff that is just “the way my body is”. Terrible communication all together.

Gratitude. Thats only one of the words that I think comes close to how we feel about Dr. Couvaras, his wife Rhoda and their staff on helping us achieve our dream of starting our family. The mad scientist - he has that nickname for a reason. He thinks outside of the box and everything he does proves he does not believe one size fits all when it comes to everyones journey. I remember feeling such relief the moment we left his office after my husband and I met with him for the first time. You see, he was referred to us by a few friends after we were already about to start our IVF journey with our 2nd RE. We took it as a sign. We met with Dr. C, immediately knew he was the doctor for us and never looked back. The extensive lab work, procedures, appointments - I have never had a doctor pay so much attention to ME. After 8 1/2 years of trying to conceive, one loss and 3 doctors, our son is about to turn 4 months old. We are finally parents to a perfect little human being! EVERY time I look at him, I am reminded that we are truly blessed and I know we will forever be grateful to IVF Phoenix. Yesterday was my first time at Dr. Couvaras’s office and I already feel more at ease about my fertility problems than any other place has ever made me feel. Everyone else I’ve gone has just asked the basic questions like “are you having intercourse regularly” and “are you tracking your ovulation”. Dr. Couvaras actually went over everything with us and explained all of it so we actually understood what he was saying. Then he gave us an actual game plan of what we are supposed to do, when we are supposed to do it, and is actually getting to the root problem of things and I am so grateful for that! He and his team were highly recommended to me and I highly recommend them to anyone else!

I love Dr. Couvaras. I have gone to so many doctors with my symptoms and nobody could ever figure it out and I was told it was in my head. When my husband and I decided it was time to see him he was the one who figured out what was wrong with me and now I’m on the path to being treated for an underlying illness. I would recommend Dr. C to anybody who asked. He makes you feel so important and you don’t feel rushed during your time with him.

Dr. Couvaras is incredible, and Rhoda and the IVF Team do amazing work. While the journey is uncertain and daunting we are in good hands and cannot imagine where wed be. We are very optimistic about our next phase.

My husband and I are so grateful we found IVF Phoenix. When we first started looking for a RE, I did my research and scheduled appointments with a few across the valley. Dr. Couvaras had a seminar that we attended and immediately knew he was the one for us. During that seminar we were able to ask questions, and learned more in that hour then we had from anyone else.We never feel rushed at our appointments, and he is great at answering questions and explaining the process.I also need to give a HUGE shout-out to his amazing staff! I dont know what I would do without Jacque! She is quick to respond to a text or phone call, and always makes me feel comfortable. Shellina at the front desk is super helpful with scheduling, ordering meds, and making sure someone always calls me back!Thank you to Dr. Couvaras, his wife Rhoda, and everyone at IVF Phoenix for giving us the support we need during this process!

I can’t express enough how lucky we are to have found Dr.Couvaras, Rhoda and the IVF Phoenix team. We did a few rounds with another clinic unsuccessfully, and found them while looking for a new perspective on the process. Dr.Couvaras did a much more robust set of tests on my wife and me to figure out what could be causing the issues and was able to identify very specific items that the previous clinic didn’t. As much as we wanted the process to move quickly, he refused to and insisted on moving methodically, based on the science, to ensure every single element of the process was as close to perfect as possible and give the round its best chance at success. On the first attempt after following Dr. Couvaras’ protocol, my wife got pregnant and we now have a perfect baby boy we are in love with. The entire IVF process can be emotionally draining and frustrating, and as a family whose gone through the ups and downs over a couple years, I can wholeheartedly suggest you give yourself whatever peace of mind you can by working with the best in Dr.Couvaras and IVF Phoenix. We’ll forever be indebted to them.

Dr. Couvaras is the best doctor I’ve ever had. Period. He listens to your problem and treats you as an individual case. He created a plan for me after experiencing a late term loss. When all other doctors told me I was 100% healthy to try to conceive, Dr. couvaras was the only one who took my symptoms seriously and dug deep enough to find my genetic/health vulnerabilities. We are so grateful to him and now I can be pregnant with confidence and knowledge on my side again. Thank you!BTW his staff is so caring and amazing. Shellena and Courtney are so patient and always answered all of my many questions.

Rather rude receptionist. Threatening to postpone my appointment over and over when I am politely requesting to verify eligibility. “It takes an hour to verify insurance eligibility since these are infertility benefits”…spoken in a callous tone that suggests take it or leave it. So not nice, don’t want to go ahead with doctors who employ unprofessional receptionists

Amazing doctor! I cant say enough positive things about Dr. Couvaras. He helped bring my little girl into this world. We spent tens of thousands of dollars on other specialists and treatments and many years lost. Within two months my wife became pregnant after working with Dr. Couvaras.Our little girl is now 15 months and we will be working with Dr. Couvars for our second child.Good guy and great doctor.

Nice offices been to Mesa and Scottsdale locations. Tried other fertility clinics with no success after many attempts. Dr Couvaras and staff helpful and we have a beautiful 2 year old. Currently making attempt for a second. Great at explaining and individualizing process.

Dr Couvaras takes his time and listens. He also treats using both alternative and western medicine.The staff is very helpful also, someone is always OnCall and if they get a hold of the doctor if they are unable to assist. I am very impressed with this office!

After struggling for 4 years and seeing multiple doctors Dr. C is the only one who has made it his mission to find the underlying cause and fix it instead of masking it! The staff is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and caring. I would recommend them to anyone!

Didnt get my eggs out of my ovaries. Went to new direction fertility and he said my ovaries float and you just need to push on my tummy on retrieval. Got pregnant with a little boy first time. Dr Couvaras said I must have needed to poop or I need to lose weight is the reason he didnt get my eggs. I also pre paid for embryo testing that I never got reimbursed for. I spent a total of 40,000.00 trying all the stuff he suggested including finally ivf which was the last straw. Other hand staff was great.

I would highly recommend IVF Phoenix. Dr John Couvaras & his staff are friendly & so helpful. The way their office is ran makes everything go smoothly. I love the fact that I can text them when I have a question & that they respond so quickly. It helps with my busy schedule.

Everyone was very friendly. Dr Couvaras took the time to get to know my overall health, not just my reproductive health, which I really appreciate. Glad I learned about Dr. Couvaras!

Terrible. Had a traumatic experience & went to cry in my car. The tech was unprofessional, had no warmth or compassion. Would never go back.
