Such a great experience here. Dr. Helms and the entire staff were fantastic. No complaints. Was so nervous to find a good OB during for my first, and I really feel like I lucked out. Use that portal too her team gets back to your questions asap that way. But really, 10/10. Dr. Helms was just great. I felt validated, not rushed, and reassured!

Dr. Helms is the best—as a doctor and just generally as a person. I have never once felt rushed at my appointments, even though I know there’s a long line of patients behind me. She delivered my first baby and made a potentially stressful birth feel completely calm and safe. I’m now pregnant with my second and know I am in the best hands. When asked if I have a “birth plan” I say “yes, Dr. Kelly Helms.” I trust her implicitly and am so grateful she’s my doc.

Dr. Helms delivered my son 11 years ago and I continue to drive 45 mins just to see her! I love Dr. Helms! She’s kind, caring, easy to talk to, and makes you feel comfortable. Glad I found her!

Dr Helms is the absolute best gynecologist ever. She is non-judgmental, extremely kind and intelligent, and she truly cares about her patients.I switched to her care after I was told everything great! Then an hour later get another call something wrong. She was working with me and got lab work before my new patient appointment. I found out I had a blighted ovum, but I had no trust in my previous provider. She took on my case and treated me with pure care and compassion.Her office staff is as amazing and wonderful as she is. My first couple appointments I would get twist and turned around and anyone would help point me the right way out. Everyone here is so wonderful, nice, and just seems happy.The ultrasound tech is also fantastic. The phlebotomist who works their lab- sweetest lady ever! Solid stick too! Always gets me first try.Anyone looking for a gynecologist I highly highly recommend Dr Helms. She is beyond wonderful. Dr. Helms is an incredible doctor! I felt well cared for throughout my pregnancy and she went above and beyond during labor, safely delivering my baby. Dr. Helms is the most caring and genuine doctor Ive ever had. She saved my life 8years ago when I had an emergency ectopic surgery. She took me on as patient afterwards and Ive been with her ever since. She always takes the time to listen to me, whether its about my family or my health. She even takes notes and asks questions. I went in for a routine exam/pap smear. The staff was great! The receptionist was so sweet and welcoming. The medical assistant was very kind. Dr. Helms was very kind and answered all of my questions thoroughly. She didn’t seemed rushed during the appointment.Only complaint would be I waited almost an hour to see the doctor. However, I showed up at 11:30a for an 11:45a appointment, finished paperwork around 11:50a , so it may have been my fault. I understand things come up that are out of their control as well. Otherwise, great office and staff!

Dr. Helms came highly recommended and after my first visit, it is easy to see why! Scheduling was quick and easy and staff was friendly. The office was clean, modern and well run. Dr. Helms is amazing. I went in to discuss several concerns since it has been a while for me to see anyone for a well woman visit. I was skeptical at first because I was asked by the nurse what I wanted to be seen for because I couldn’t discuss all my concerns at my new patient visit. She went through my list of issues and kept stating what other doctors I could see for them. I was tempted to walk out. I decided to give the office a chance because it had great reviews and it looked so nice and well organized. The young lady at the front was so nice and professional. Upon seeing Dr. Helms, I instantly felt better about giving the office a chance. She was kind and very talkative. She seemed very concerned and interested in what I had to say. She had an inclination of what might be causing all of my symptoms, talked to me about them, and scheduled me for blood work to determine. I absolutely enjoyed majority of my visit.

Dr. Helms is always very knowledgeable, kind, and is informative when it comes to new data involving women’s care. She is very good at making you feel comfortable during each appointment.

I fully trust Dr Helms with by GYN and OB care. I’ve been going to the practice for years and I recommend her to all of my friends. It is important to note that the office never answers phones live- this is my biggest issue. You have to leave a voicemail every time, but they do get back to you within 24 hours. If they could figure out how to answer calls when it’s convenient for patients, satisfaction would sky rocket. I would follow Helms anywhere though so I will continue to leave my voicemails.

Ive seen Dr. Helms a handful of times and really like her. She is professional and punctual. She listens to me and has never made me feel rushed during my appointments. When there was a minor concern with one of my tests, she called me herself (instead of having a nurse call) and spent time on the phone explaining everything in detail. The office is clean and there is even the convenience of a phlebotomist on site (if needed). Also, the staff has always been friendly and helpful.

I wouldn’t say I had the best birth story (51 hours of labor, ended in C-section), but I would say that Dr. Helms was amazing and very professional. She did everything she could to help me have a natural birth which was my preference. I enjoyed all of our appointments and felt that all of my questions always got answered. Hemls was great on our first appointment and everything went downhill from there on. The list is long, she always seemed in rush and wouldnt take time to answer my questions. She never told us about the vaccinations me and my husband needed to get, I read on forums and asked her about the TDAP and shes like, oh every pregnant person should get that, I was 36 weeks that day and last day to get that shot, she still didnt say anything about my husband getting it, the pharmacist did.I went to triage at 32 weeks because baby was not moving and they found out my amniotic fluid was dangerously low. Kelly hemls ordered one u/s and never monitored me after that.I went ahead and scheduled weekly ultrasounds with their u/s tech, (bless her heart, Marry was great). My fluid never went up above 10 and Helms never bothered to check on me.It was too late in my pregnancy to change doctors. At 41 weeks, SHE induced me, shows up 12 hours later once to check, said baby will arrive in the morning. But labor is unpredictable and I went into labor at 1 am, Helms showed up 3.30 in the morning, wearing sweats, making faces and looking like she was highly inconvenienced. She declared right off the bat that baby needs to vaccumed out since I was bleeding a lot. We were really shocked because the nurse didnt mention anything like that. We refused to vaccum and I pushed for an hour more with the help of the Angel nurse and delivered the baby with no intervention. I cried after holding my baby for the first time and the woman rolled her eyes at me. She completely ruined our first ever and probably only experience of giving birth. The thought that this doctor tried to harm my baby just so she could go back to bed is unacceptable. If she didnt want to deliver babies at odd times, she should have been a dentist instead. Theres another We suffer with severe infertility and my baby was our only embryo after trying for years and spending our lives savings on IVF review on Google that mentions the same experience.Sorry for the novel, but avoid going to this doctor. The only star is for the staff, reception, billing and and the ultrasound tech Marry, never had an issue with them.

I’ve seen 6 gynecologists in the past 5 years, and have had some awful experiences. I started seeing Dr. Helms when I moved to AZ in May, and she instantly made me feel welcomed, seen, & heard. She took me seriously right away. After a few months and check-ups, she scheduled me for my diagnostic laparoscopic surgery to check for endometriosis. None of my previous gynecologists ever mentioned this or brought it up, often saying to just take Advil and use a heating pad. Before, during, and after surgery, Dr. Helms and her team were nothing short of wonderful. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and she was able to guide me to get the help I need. Definitely recommend Dr. Helms in both her office and surgery settings. Feeling so relieved and comforted after 5 years of feeling like I wasn’t being taken seriously. If I could give more than 5 stars she would be getting them!

I visited Dr. Helms for a consult for a bilateral salpingectomy, and she was fabulous. She only asked if I understood that it was a permanent birth control option that couldnt be undone, and if I was sure that I never wanted children. The consult was easy, painless and my surgery was scheduled for the next month. While rummaging around in my reproductive organs she happened upon some endometrial issue which she kindly ablated even though Im sure it took more time out of her schedule than she had anticipated. Recovery was easy, and she took the time to call a few days post-surgery to make sure I was doing well. At the follow up I received before and after pictures of my uterus, which I hung on my fridge to discourage late night snacking. 6 months later the small incisions from the laparoscopic surgery are almost gone and I am still very not pregnant. She is a wonderful doctor who has made the remainder of my reproductive years less stressful, and Im very happy I found her.

Thanks for ruining the birthing experience of our first child. It was great to have you act really nice to us during all the meetings leading up to birth, but the big day is BIRTH, so dropping the ball of kindness and empathy on that day is nothing short of unacceptable. And in your profession, at your pay grade, we think every parent would agree. Now we just feel like we were being sold, and when it came time for the big day all your professional skills and empathy went out the window.Sorry we inconvenienced you by bringing a human into the world on your day off, I hope you feel good about rushing my wife through birth so you could go enjoy your selfish life. Because your day off is much more important than your clients delivering a baby. This resulting in a level 3 tear for my wife which put her out of commission for weeks after birth. Dr. Helms made her lay on her back (even though she was having major back pain and felt more comfortable on all fours) and rushed her to push before she even felt the urge. After talking to multiple midwives we learned just how much Dr. Helms does NOT know about healthy birthing.Maybe you were just having a bad day Dr. Helms, in which case we would have preferred you let us know that when you got there, and/or sent a Dr. who doesnt let their stress spill out onto their patients. Neither one is a reasonable excuse when your specialty is delivering babies.As soon as you walked in your words and energy were short, and the personality you had previously was gone. Luckily I was a heavily researched and involved husband and we already had a good system going. My main focus was keeping my wife distracted from how bad your energy was, and since she was in her own zone on top of it, we successfully did that. It wasnt until after we stopped staring at our beautiful creation days later, and replayed everything in our heads, that she realized how completely disrespectful you were to all of us, including our baby.Have you not had a concerned father ask you any questions during the birthing process? Especially from a couple who you know is highly into health and wellness? The nurse asked me if we were okay with using mineral oil. Intuitively it felt like if you need to ask there must be some pros and cons, and usually there is some sort of legality and/or controversy around the subject. So I asked, is there any Cons to Mineral Oil? Your highly snarky and eye-rolling reply was Cons? No Cons (snarky). Only Pros (more snarky). Were not trying to hurt anyone (eye roll). How rude and unprofessional. That was the moment I decided to ignore you and focus solely on my wife, attempting to salvage any possible magic left in the experience for the both of us.Weeks after we got home, we revisited this conversation. Thinking again about your over cocky and valley girl response to my completely normal miner oil concern, I decided to do some research. At this point Id have to say you either looked directly into a new fathers eyes and lied straight to my face, or you just have no right dumping mineral oil all over women and their babies...because your lack of knowledge is a danger to others. When I looked at all the fact based research about mineral oil dangers, and read about all the previous stories (and deaths) of mineral oil toxicity in people and babies, I almost threw up...considering you dumped an entire bottle of it all over my wife and my babies head which then got in his eyes and mouth. Claiming it helps women not tear, it didnt prevent tearing one bit.This is just one of many things we dealt with that morning. Like you rushing my wife to push, and push harder, or well be here all day like you said.Its best I stop here. If you have any sort of reply to our experience and/or way of making this any better, Id love to hear it. If not, thats okay too. Ill be sharing our story with every possible parent or potential new parent in the state of Arizona to warn them against your LACK of values, care, knowledge, and kindness.
