They’re getting a one star because the doctors and security guards are actually nice. However, the front desk people are literal trash. The most unhelpful people I have ever come across. I’ve been going to this location for months and apparently everything has been all rainbows and unicorns, and now all of a sudden my insurance doesn’t cover. When I’ve been going for months and multiple people have called to check my insurance and have checked it on sight and everything has always been great in their words. And because they called me literally one time and I missed the call they tried to inform me that my insurance is not covering 4 months after I started going to my appointments. FOUR MONTHS AFTER. When I have gone to at least 5 appointments in those 4 months and according to them there has never been an issue. And when you ask why, “oh I don’t know, that’s just what shows up for us”. I hate all of Esperanza’s front desk people, they never know what they’re doing and they’re unhelpful. But the ones at this location hands down take the prize for being useless.

Very very veryyyyyy poor communication and many excuses they offer. This place as a small amount of decent doctors and staff but this facility lacks the care of patients. I been waiting MONTHS just to speak to a director but the seem to fail that as well.

I have been a patient at esperaza for the last 9 years . I used to be a big time advocate of Ezperaza when they were in the other building since moving into the new building service is horrible. I cant even get a simple prescription transferred over they said they did it I go to pharmacy to pick it up no prescription is at the pharmacy under my name. Called them all day long to get the run around still with no results and my prescription is on a nationwide shortage so the fact I was able to get it was a once in a chance opportunity. I am definitly looking for a new primary doctors office as this is horrible and im under a different name on my review my name is really Kate.

Only reason u only get 2 star is because of good doctors and staff is pretty good also need to up there game in appts I hate the fact I have to walk up drug infested street with homeless shooting up right in front of my 6 year old no one out there to tell them to take that else where nor do they clean there parking garage wich going down those stairs is scary dont know if someone is shooting drugs and also just plain nasty to see blood and urine in the stair well I think I had enough of this place and going to change providers also there staff likes to cancel your visit just to make u re register so u can be seen this is the last straw Im done with this place

I CALLED AT EXACTLY 4:47 P.M. AND THE AUTOMATED MACHINE SAID THAT THEY ARE CLOSED. HOW?!?! WHEN YOURE SUPPOSE TO STILL BE OPEN. ALL I WANTED WAS A FAX NUMBER! I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY DONT THEY HAVE IT LISTED ON THEIR WEBSITE!!!

I have been a patient of Esperanza since I was a child I’m disappointed at them for keeping people going to that building. I’m no longer going there last time theee was a men with a knife sitting in the steps where we have to pass to get out the parking lot. They trying to stay in the building because the workers are safe and the place is nice inside but your selfish and that’s not worth my life sorry I’m done with this stupid clinic.

This place is poorly run half of the time when my mom and other people in my family come here on time theyre always changing their appointments for another day Im not sure if this has been happening to anyone else but all I can really ask at this point is what happened to taking care of the patient? or are you only in it for the money? I dont even know why this clinic is here if their not going to take care of their patients properly and dont even get me started with the location this is a terrible place to have a clinic considering how bad this area is I definitely wouldnt recommend this place to anyone thats trying to get proper treatment save your time and find a better place to treated at because this place is a joke

I used to love coming here since I’ve been with Esperanza for years but lately I’ve been considering on changing to another office. It’s sad that as a patient you feel uncomfortable when you enter because front desk doesn’t acknowledge you when you enter and stand in front of them patiently waiting. You can be very polite and still get treated poorly. I waited to make this review because I do understand that people have good and bad days but this has turned into a thing at every appointment.

Leaving aside the location corner.of Kensington and Allegheny and the abundance of poverty and drug use in the area, once inside Ive felt safe. The services rendered at Esperanza health clinic have been exceptional for me Ive been a patient for over 4 yrs now.... love the patient portal and how easy it is to get a return call from my doctor in regards to appointment, labs or referral.

I was treated poorly very poorly by a guy by the name of Jonathan whom was supposed to help me with my financial situation as I believe is one of his job responsibilities and this happened from the very beginning of my encounter with this person whom has no consideration in neglecting his duties to provide the proper assistance with patients visiting your health center. Not only one of my questions to this guy was responded with the proper courtesy and care which makes me believe that he is not the ideal person to deal with your patients. I left your promises feeling like I was treated very very very bad.

I absolutely hate it here. Never can I ever go there to get an issue resolved. It’s always a long wait. Typically you ask what you need help with and the doctors and nurse practitioners help. No. Not here. It’s just a clean place on the inside. This place doesn’t schedule video visits. Everyone that works there is of a certain nationality. It’s just very disappointing every single time I go there. Currently looking for a new dentist and primary care physician. Over this place and their people.

These Doctors are amazing and granted the surrounding company around Esperanza is not the best but they are just trying to help the community. But they are excellent with your care, they have a dental office as well here. It is a Christian Heath center run by a Christian Company who are just trying to help us. I promise you won’t regret going here

This place has a Hard time with answering and returning phone calls. Every single time I call or leave a number for a call back, it’s never responded. I have to physically go to the clinic to schedule an appt . This has to be addressed and resolved immediately. No patient should have to speak to an operator. Most of us prefer to speak to someone (which the reason why receptionist are hired)

I was going for 0 stars but it would not let me post it until i gave a star. I loathe the fact that they continue to make us call at certain times to make an appointment. I can make an appointment for a piercing at a tattoo parlor faster than I can make an appointment for an infection at Esperenza. It hurt my feelings that I can not speak directly to my doctor about personal problems and that they take forever to call back with information about my health and appointments. It is unacceptable.

I love my primary doctor Kristopher Ahn he is so caring and doesn’t rush my appointments and does everything in his power to help with any concerns or issues. Me and my husband both see him and we are so pleased by his service I’d definitely recommend him if you are searching for a caring primary provider!

They are wonderful and caring, I was at temple university hospital for 8 days and Doctors from Nueva Esperanza came to see me a few times.

ITS RIDICULOUS TO GET A APPOINTMENT or even a question answered. I’ve been going here for 7 years because it’s nice and clean and quick but the phone service has drastically declined. I have called 4 times this week to get shot records couldn’t get through and didn’t get a call back, when I finally did today; THEY HUNG UP ON ME! it’s frustrating when it’s important.

Im trying like 2 month to get an appointment for.my,mom and im still not getting the appointment everytime i call they said they.dont have none because the doctor.made.arrangement to see her in the mornings now im trying to find another clinic this clinic is not bad but to made appointment yes is really bad

Often have to have papers filled out,have never had it done right even after 3 to 4 times and constant phone calls, forms werent even signed by the doctor . everytime i go there its a problem. if you want horrible care when your dying go here otherwise find a real doctor and save yourself aggrivation.

Very concerned. Found a young Lady cleaning her Crack Pipe on the front steps. So I went inside for my Dental appointment, but first reported the young lady. Too my amazement nothing was done. Then I notice 2 Philadelphia Police Officers and they heard me, but didnt do a thing. Wow.

Terrible experience and That was just trying to register as a new patient spent the better portion of the morning trying to call and got no answer. Then I requested a call back, whom ever it was that did finally call back left the shortest unclear inaudible voicemail ever.

It took me a long time to get the first appointment but I love this clinic my doctor is Charlene Chen I can always get an appointment fast now the stuff is great and they really do listen I am a person that pays attention to every part of my body and Health and they at least listen to me and we work together to solve the problem I even want to find out more about the children doctors there for my children and the dental department my name is Sierra Thompson and when I had to take my 3 year old and my infant to my appointment they made them feel welcomed and got some activities for my child Kensington and Allegheny location is the best in my eyes even the guy at the pharmacy is really nice and helpful once you get in trust it was worth the wait

This is by far the worst place Ive ever been. Its impossible to get an appointment. They give appointments to make appointments if that makes sense and then on the day they tell you to call or come in its another excuse. If they cant even do scheduling right how are they going to manage someones health.

Horrible waiting room, had to wait 3 hours for my appointment, there were only 4 patients there so I do not understand the delay. If u go here make sure you have 5 hours to spare and nothing important to do. Disappointed.

I been bringing my kids here for years and it used to be great still has same day appointments but now they don’t even answer the phone call or call back when you are placed on quesed and you ask for a call back they never replay been calling since my son been sick and haven’t had no luck and don’t want to go there for them to tell me they dont have any appointment thinking of switch Doctor eventhough Dr. Leander is one of the best there.

Worst customer service, longest wait times, no one ever answers the phone nor does anyone call back, and it’s a mission just to schedule an appointment. I would NEVER recommend to place to anyone!!!!

This place is a waste of time. Cant get a appointment with a doctor for months and when you call they always have a excuse. People need to boycott this location. The staff sucks, I guess they are only there for a paycheck.

Ridiculous is the only word that best describes this place. Its impossible to schedule any appointment, especially an emergency dental appointment. Not worth the headache.

Got the first vacuna here, next in two weeks. My wife has gone there since March and receives excellent care....

There are piles of garbage around, homeless people lying at the entrance. What kind of health are we talking about here?

What I like about this place you get either same-day appointment or the day after but its hard for them to pick up the phone especially after 9:30 am they dont ever pick up after that..

I went their last Friday and they still didnt give me my medicine that the doctor provide for me.

I been calling since October and i still cant get appointment they say call Monday then Tuesday then Friday oh the computer is down

They take a long time to give you and your childrens appointments. Not satisfied with that, when you finally get an appointment, they call you the day before it to tell you what you have to do. Change it because you cant get it. Tremendous hospital crap said this one in Kensington and Allegheny, what can you expect?

Excellent treatment, I have no complaints, the staff is very friendly and attentive to the patients, I never have to wait, the attention is fast. I have been taking my children to Esperanza for 2 years and it was the best decision and the pediatricians Laura Layer and Charles Young are super friendly and the Dr.Young when he takes care of my son he always prays for him before we leave...

This place has treated my children excellently, Dr. Montalvo and Laura Liar have been super good with my two children. Sometimes you have to wait a while in the lobby but its worth the wait, the doctors check the entire children.

It caused me pain that the unprofessional employees contradicted me and made my life impossible. I think that if you go to a clinic and complain it is because you feel bad and I dont want to spend 4 hours in a cubicle with the smell of urine. pamper, apart from the 3 hours I had waited outside, it makes sense. They are Puerto Ricans, I am Puerto Rican and very polite, not like one of the people at the reception insinuating that they wanted to rush me when I was only looking for medicine and help. And the Doctors are very Good and the social therapist who She even prays with you, very good. A woman at the receptionists hates me, I dont know why, but may God help her to be a better human being. Bad service, you call for an appointment and they invent many things and in the end they dont give it to you, I regret having changed to that clinic

The worst receptionist service never answers the phone, they even hang up the call without having answered. They need more operators to answer calls. I have been calling since 9 in the morning, it is 11:53 pm and still no one answers, now I get that they went to lunch

The worst clinic in North Philadelphia, my worst decision was having changed to this clinic, very satisfied with my new clinic CONGRESO HEALTH CENTER

Excellent clinic, unique attention, the doctors are an eminence, I love my Dental doctor, 100% recommended.
