Shady Grove Fertility in Philadelphia, PA

I’ve been going to Shady Grove’s Philadelphia and Chesterbrook locations for ~4 months. I’m consistently impressed by their organization, attention to detail, and quick response times. The people at SGF are what have made a difference: My assigned nurse, Hannah, is wonderful and I’ve also benefited from using their call service when I had an after-hours question, Felicia in Finance went above and beyond to support us through insurance snafus, and I genuinely look forward to seeing Brooke and Alecia (even when it’s 4-5 times in a week!)I have friends who are seeking fertility treatment at other local clinics and I’m repeatedly reminded of how great Shady Grove is. I am very appreciative of Dr. Kallan and the whole staff for making a challenging process a little less stressful.

Dr. Kallen and the caring team at SGF Center City provided supportive and compassionate care during what was one of the most difficult times for my family. I felt informed throughout the process and I am truly grateful for the care I received at SGF. My beautiful son is a testament to the expertise and experience that the medical team has to offer.

I truly appreciate the friendliness of the staff which makes all those interactions alleviate such a stressful journey. Brooke and Aleisha have been wonderful!

Throughout my whole process at Shady Grove so far Brooke has always made me feel good with her warm smile and nice warm hug anytime that I’ve received bad news. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for always making me feel better about this process everytime I come there!!

Insisted on a 9am Friday entry appointment for ultrasound, kept us waiting for 30 minutes with no end in sight. Very rude staff. Not a good experience. Spend your money at other more respectful placesUpdate: they just gave an anodyne response that makes it sound like accidents happen. Thats not the case. Let me clarify. The front desk person literally said, at 9:30am, There are 3 people ahead of you, so I cant give you a time, I think itll be another 20-30 minutes. For a 9am meeting.Just do yourself a favor and take your business to another clinic that doesnt intentionally overbook you for a Friday morning and waste your time in favor of theirs.

Brooke is always pleasant. Always greet everyone with a pleasant smile. It is obvious that she is genuinely care!

Will be also be sharing this review on the B.B.B and with my fertility lawyer. I plan to sue this company for my $7,000.00 co-payment after a year not one transfer. numerous mistakes and no compassion for their clients. All I’ve received in a year is a dent in my pocket. This is a scam i have depleted my savings as a hopeful and like any other hopeful i knew it wouldn’t be easy. but i I dreamed of completing my family and wanted to have a beautiful experience. After trying for the last 5 years with no hope. I turned to shady grove thinking i would finally be able to give my 8 year old who will be 9 a little brother. which we have promised her. I have done all that was asked of me on my dime went and paid for an mfm doctor to care for me during before and after i leave shady groves clinic at the request of this clinic. Sent over proof paid out of pocket for most things. Had me on ice at this clinic from October 2022 until April 2023 because they were closed for holidays. told me i had a cyst and cancelled my retrieval based on the fact that they thought it was when it never actually was. Now it’s my blood pressure after paying to get a real doctor to help with that still no help no communication no next steps . i had to transfer my records to another clinic who is willing to move forward after 1 month after I waited a year with shady grove. I am suing the doctors the nurses and everyone involved for the pain suffering and all missed work driving back and forth to their clinic paying for $25 for parking 5 days aweek court fees tolls and have proof of it all this clinic is a waste a scam they’re liars they never planned on transferring its all a big money scheme. Please don’t waste your money or time in the end you will end up heart broken and at this point I can’t even get them to fill out form for my new clinic like they asked. they’re holding me up from moving on wont help me and wanna hold my embryos hostage. I will do everything possible to bring shady grove to its knees behind the lies they tell and the secrets they keep. I want my transfer or my money back . You could’ve just had me sign a form releasing them any liability after they explained the need for my pressure to go down but no they choose to deny me over 140/60 my mfm said 180/110 is life threatening this is mild to moderate and are caring for me in such away that RMA is comfortable moving forward but not shady grove spoke to 2 over clinics and sent over info from mfm nobody wants to waste my time like shady grove did on top of that the doctor handling my case is out on maternity leave 😂 go figure. ive been with this clinic so long without any transfers sitting around like a porcelain doll on a shelf. So long that my own doctor had ivf and delivered twins is on maternity leave and I’m still here with not even one failed transfer nothing. Doctor hutchingson should not have taken on a new patient if she was only concerned with herself. If you knew you had your own situation she shouldn’t have taken any new patients because now that she’s out on maternity leave decisions are left up to a doctor whom ive never met who’s only reading about me on paper. Blood and blood pressure was taken through out this whole process but all of a sudden now it’s an issue . Give me my money back or transfer my embryos it’s simple. Since you guys don’t understand I’m gonna have to help you understand.

I write this as I sit here with my SGF IVF baby. Before becoming a patient at SGF, I was terrified of needing to do IVF to grow a family. However, after our first appointment with Dr. Kallen, I felt so much more at ease. He told us matter-of-factly that my husband and I would have children. Hearing Dr. Kallen’s confidence made me trust him and gave my husband and I the faith we needed to move forward with fertility treatments. Our nurse, Hannah, was also absolutely wonderful. Her constant communication with us made it feel as though she was a friend through this whole process. Though IVF can be difficult in many aspects, everyone at the Center City office made each visit enjoyable. The front desk and phlebotomy staff remembered my name and would warmly greet me at each visit. Everyone was so kind, it was bittersweet to graduate and move onto our OBGYN. I could not recommend Dr. Kallen or Shady Grove Center City more. I will be back for baby #2 in the future! Best of luck to anyone finding themselves reading this review! You can do it!

Dr Kallen really helps guide you through the entire process. During a scary time filled with uncertainty, he makes sure that you go through all of your options, get all the right testing and have a plan in place in order to help get you pregnant. I am grateful to Dr Kallen and the entire team at SGF for helping me bring our perfect baby into this world. I also just cannot say enough about the staff at the Center City office. Everyone from the front desk to the woman who drew blood to the nurses to Dr Kallen were amazing.

Dr . Kallen of SGF is simply the best . He helped make our dreams come true and we will forever be gratefulFor him and his staff . He is a compassionate doctor who listens and truly wants the best for his patients . He listens , and has a way of reassurance in such a calm matter . The best of the best !!

Dr. Hutchinson is amazing. I was sad we couldnt see her the entire pregnancy. She was always so kind and positive. You can tell she really loves her job and we loved working with her. The rest of the staff we interacted with was always kind and friendly as well. Thank you!

I had a consultation with them and it was fine. Then went I went to schedule my testing for the third day of my cycle I couldnt get a hold of anyone. I left multiple messages- no response. This happened two months in a row. Looking to go elsewhere.

Horrible receptionist who answered the phone ! Already having trouble conceiving and just want to schedule an appointment and she made it very difficult ! Also made you sound even stupid for calling !!!! Gave you the option to choose two offices then decided chesterbrook location was more better even when you tried to make it clear that you want the center city location!!! I didn’t get her name but please contact me if anyone from management cares to know. I have the date and time for this conversation. Horrible !!! She needs to be re-trained with customer service !

First time patient so far satisfy with doctor and staff. Update: 1/23/2019 we were able to get all testing done and next step is considering treatment. We are happy with our fertility choice. Also, great staff at the Chesterbrook facility.

I did my process back in November 2020 & currently have a beautiful babygirl thanks to god & doctor Kallen we went to every clinic nothing worked but he made me & my husband’s dream come true, Doctor Kallen & his staff super nice & understandable if I do it again it would definitely be there again.

I knew that they did not take my insurance but was willing to pay for the consultation. Not long after I arrived, I was told that they could not even accept my money. I did not understand why. I was so excited to get their but to have my dreams crushed like that was so dissapointing . Would never recommend this place . I will take my business elsewhere .

Impossible to reach anyone there, despite multiple phone messages and emails. Regardless of what my test results are I will be going elsewhere for further assistance.

I have never been to a place where everyone was so warm and inviting and filled me full of useful info! I cant wait to start the process!
