The doctor was kind and patient and made me feel comfortable. The doctor was gentle, and I felt no pain during the check-up. I am visually impaired, and it did not make me feel uncomfortable about it. The doctor is funny, witty, and knowledgeable. My sister recommended me. I like this doctor, and I will continue going to his office. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Carrasco is the most thorough and conscientious doctor I have had. He takes time to answer every one of my questions. He goes out of his way to make his patients comfortable, he’s kind and so caring. Dr Carrasco takes care of his patients like his own family. Every Dr should have Dr C’s bedside manners …A good guy and great OBGYN and a true gem.

I had reservations choosing a male Gyn doctor but Dr. Carrasco is highly recommended by my colleague and boy, I did not regret my decision. Dr. Carrasco is not only very professional but also kind and very gentle. I guess he saw that I was nervous so he spoke to me that made me feel comfortable and my apprehensions went away. Thank you to a well organized clinic visit and friendly staff.

Please, I beg you, do not come here. This is by far the worst medical office I have ever experienced. They are wildly disrespectful of your time. I have never waited less than an hour here. I just can’t believe these people overbook his much. I’m sitting in the waiting room now and there are four women in gowns and socks sitting in the lobby. Multiple women standing because there aren’t enough chairs. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Absolutely abhorrent behavior in a place where women should feel safe, cared for, and respected.Nurses are running around and yet super unbothered about actual visits and procedures. I have been forgotten in the room before and sat on the table for 45 minutes and then had to walk in a gown and socks to the front desk to remind them I was there.They include ultrasounds with your paps without telling you before hand , and then bill you for something they elect.My appointments are rushed and, though the doctor is nice, he is so overbooked that I find myself having to be very aggressive about him answering my questions before he runs out. He also makes jokes during exams that make me uncomfortable. I will say he has been very empathetic and he explains procedures in depth; however, I had a deeply traumatic procedure here where my anesthetic did not work and he continued with the procedure even though I was in pain… I just felt totally shocked they would continue when a patient is in visible distress.My biggest issue here is the horrendous front desk. Rude rude rude. I was billed for 2 years worth of visits one day after having over 6 visits in that time frame where no bill was presented??? They accused me of avoiding the bill when I have zero trace of a bill in my portal or mail. They had ample opportunity to present a bill in the 6 visits I had.I was given news I tested for pre-cancerous cells and the receptionist delivered the news to me over the phone at 8am, could not answer ANY questions about the diagnosis or treatment, or insurance coverage. She continued to say the doctor would call me back and I did not receive a call until 10 hours later. I spent the entire day absolutely terrified about cancer and having to look online for answers. My doctor couldn’t call me with this news? When he did call me he looked exhausted from his day and was very defensive about his staff’s behavior. I never got a call back from the billing department either, who was supposed to explain coverage. I wasn’t given any sense of cost until the day of my procedure after waiting an hour to talk to someone.I would give 0 stars if I could. I don’t care how nice the doctor is, this practice is horrible.

It is beautiful office an very friendly staff. The doctor is amazing and his knowledge shows how much he care for each patient. I can recommend this doctor for 100%

This review is about the staff and office practices and not really the doctor because I did not even get to see him. I made an appointment for 2pm. The secretary said she would call me back before the appointment to let me know if my insurance is within network. She did not call me. I travelled an hour and a half to make this appointment. When I arrived, I’m told that the doctor got hold up in the hospital and won’t make my appointment and if I wanted to see another doctor. I didn’t since Dr. Carrasco was recommended to me but I was not going to go all the way back home and return the next day. If they knew he wouldn’t make it (which can happen, things come up), why not call me? Why wait until I’m in the office to let me know? Anyways, I had to wait over an hour and a half for the other doctor to see me. This is incredibly disrespectful to me and my time, and it’s time doctors start doing better by their patients. It’s also not easy to get someone to answer the phone at reception. While the nurses and doctor that did see me where all very nice and treated me with care, it still does not make the stuff I mentioned above okay.Edit: I want to add on to the staff and how unprofessional they are. It is almost impossible to get someone on the phone. The doctor sent me for an MRI and has not called me with results and it’s been almost 2 months. I got tired and just went to a different doctors. When you’re dealing with a cancer scare, waiting 2 months for a call back on results is absolutely ridiculous. On top of everything, they billed my insurance as if I saw the doctor in Puerto Rico, causing a denial from my insurance. One of the worst medical office experiences I’ve had in my life and I have plenty of horror stories

Dr. Carrasco saved my life. I had been suffering for more than two years with a lot of pain. He found my problem at once and put me on a plan for 3 months. Since I didnt feel comfortable after his first plan, he continued with the second plan in which I had surgery. The truth is that it was an excellent surgery. Apart from everything, he did my surgery himself and everything went perfectly, thank God. I thank God very much for putting Dr. Carrasco in my life. He is an excellent doctor, an excellent person, and very humble. God Bless You

I have been coming here for a few years since a gynecological oncologist recommended Dr. Carrasco to me (Dr. Vilela). Dr. Carrasco is perfect for anxious patients like me; he will crack you up and find something to laugh at instead of letting me freak out. He always has solutions and never lets his office lead with fear(different from the traditional medical model we usually see). Brooke is an ultrasound technician, is trauma-informed, and excellent at her job, ensuring you are comfortable and that she gets good images. She leads with respect. Nurse Alasia, (I know I messed her name up(very sorry) but nurse beginning with A is informative, kind, and trauma-informed, very gentle with patients. I recommend you come here for your annual and other needs.

I will never set foot in this office again.I’ve been going here for over 1year everything was fine up until may last visit on 07/23/24. I went over for a Pap smear. The nurse decided to charge me for an a ultrasound to check for my ovaries which I didn’t ask for. My insurance didn’t cover this procedure so im faced for $1,000 worth of bills for one single visit.Obviously I called the billing department and the lady on the phone « Cherry or Cherish » told me that im responsible for this although I didn’t ask for the procedure to be done.I told 3 of my friends to go here because the doctor was kind but ill tell them all to stop going here because of how nasty these people treated me and billed me for something I didn’t ask and im faced now with a big financial burden.

THE PROS are that Its true that Dr. Carrasco has impeccable beside manner, hes caring and attentive and has the most angelic touch. Im someone who is super squeamish around needles and blood due to a childhood trauma. But when he drew my blood, I barely felt the needle go in and out. He was also very gentle and kind during my Pap smear.THE CONS:1. He has way too many patients to the point where I waited over TWO hours to be seen during my last visit.2. Dr. Carrasco prescribed me the wrong medication.3. The nurses who work with Dr. Carrasco also arent the best. One nurse tried to draw my blood and couldnt get any blood out. Ive never had that happen to me before. When she finally took the needle out, I looked down and saw a pool of blood, I nearly passed out.4. My next issue is that when I called about questions regarding a potential fibroid surgery, the nurse was very rude and said Dr. Carrasco isnt in the business of guessing. In my opinion, that was a very nasty way of saying we dont know and her attitude and lack of information about the procedure did not make me feel comfortable about scheduling a SURGERY with him. I went to see a different doctor for a second opinion on my fibroid treatment and in contrast she patiently answered EVERY question I had and didnt make me feel like any of my questions were dumb or unwarranted. I got SO much more information about fibroids, fibroid surgery and different treatment options from her than I did from Dr. Carrascos team.

I couldn’t be happier being a patient of both Dr Shay and Dr Carrasco! Although, I’ve MOSTLY seen Dr Carrasco, I must say there are no flaws in their work ethic! Vibrant staff and doctors! I was recommended by a family member and would recommend to ANY woman! I wish I could go into details but I don’t have the time to write a book and it will do no justice anyway. Love the update to the office, the additional staff. For my annual checkup I was in an out of the office within 1.5hrs. This included sonogram. While most women are not comfortable with a male GYN I would recommend Dr. Carrasco he really treats you like his sister and in my opinion is more attentive with the questions. Last the ability to text and ask questions free of cost is a bonus.

Was referred to Doctor by my own OBGYN for additional procedures and was pleasantly surprised with experience. His office was able to fit me in despite short notice. Definitely great office: clean, organized, friendly staff. Minimal waiting time .Appointment went amazing, every step of what needs to be done explained and was done gently, quickly and with minimal discomfort. I always love this practice, but when I came on Thursday 8/22, I sat for over a hour to find out I only needed to do urine and I would be done. I should have asked but I felt asleep and when it I woke up they called me and told me. I hate to write this because this practice is so good. Listen everyone is human and not perfect no hard feelings. I would recommend this place everytime.

Even though he is swamped with work his beside manner is great. The process was fairly quick but thorough. Be prepared to wait a little (bring a portable charger)because he’s good at his job.

Super long wait times and very delayed results! I had a checkup 6 months later they called me for a follow up even though I called earlier to make sure everything was ok. The worst part though is how it’s hard to plan your day since I waited an hour even after making an appointment. My old OB downtown had a 5-10 wait time, but I wanted to find someone closer since moving uptown. Guess I’ll have to keep looking.The only reason I tried this doctor is because of all the great reviews here, but personally I do not recommend unless you have all day to wait around.

This is the worst doctors experience I’ve ever had. I went last year but just received my 4th bill from them all because they keep typing in my insurance number incorrectly, even after I call them to correct it. Not to mention that Dr. Carrasco was incredibly belittling in our 5 minute appointment (after I waited almost an hour), did not listen to my concerns, and did not properly check me for the PCOS symptoms I described. He made me feel like I was being dramatic about worrying that I had PCOS and talked to me like a child. I finally saw a female OBGYN this year, was listened to fully, properly tested, and then officially diagnosed with PCOS so that I can now properly address my health concerns. I would not recommend coming here.

Dr. Carrasco is hands down the best gyn I have ever had. He is incredibly warm, compassionate, and thorough. He does a commendable job at making his patients feel like family with an unencumbered focus on their best interests. And all this is still an understatement. Words do not do him justice.

I love this doctor. Honestly wish I would’ve been referred to him sooner because he made my entire fibroid experience so much easier to deal with. I had a massive fibroid that, when he saw the measurements, he said “your biggest worry after your surgery will be the new clothes you have to buy”. He had an “easy peasy” attitude about it after I spent almost 3 months dreading every doctor appt I went to because every doctor was intimidated. He treated me like family and the day of my surgery, was the sweetest sweetheart EVER. I love him and recommend him to anyone who has a uterus 😅
