Excellent staff! Stephanie and Jessica were so kind and understanding. When you are so stressed this is exactly who you want greeting you and helping you through this process! Also, very informative, all my questions asked without worries. Dr. Thornton was made for this - he is such a blessing to medicine and to couples on this journey! He is a teddy bear! So much information was provided and we weren’t overwhelmed at all. He made this whole so much easier and we are so thankful and grateful.

I feel so blessed that I met and became a patient of Doctor Thorton.As I count my blessings this year, I can’t hold back but be thankful for finding him and his practice.I was late for my very first appointment and I felt the appointment would be over even before I understood anything. But Doctor Thorton was so gracious, kind, and understanding, he took his time to explain things to me, and answered all my questions. I couldn’t help but wonder if he was the actual Doctor or an assistant.Our follow up appointments have been nothing short of pleasant, my partner and I I agreed that God has guided us to the right practice.Chatting with other patients at the waiting area, our impression and experiences with Doctor Thorton is very similar. He is very humane, compassionate, empathetic, understanding , and everything else that you would want your doctor to be.Stephanie was so helpful the first day I arrived at the clinic with my appointment being messed up. She was so professional and handled the situation in a kind manner. Her and Jessica have continued to be very warm and welcoming at every visit. They represent the front so well.All the clinical staff are refreshing to be around. The energy of the entire clinic feels just right.I recommend this practice to anyone looking. You would be in the care of a man who along with his team gives his patients, the best of care. And hopefully I can come back someday for another review.

I started treatment with Dr. Thornton at Global Fertility & Genetics a few months ago and entire experience so far has been nothing short of amazing. The entire team is supportive and helpful, especially Jessica and Stephanie at the front desk. Dealing with infertility can be scary but being greeted with smiles, and meet with kindness and understanding even before seeing the doctors or nurses set the tone for what the overall process would be like; incredible. The team takes their time to explain treatment and answer any questions or concerns I have thought the process. Cant say enough great things. Id highly recommend them all if you are looking to start a family.

What an awesome team here!Walking through the door, Stephanie was so welcoming and patient when I was locating my insurance information. Michelle, the radiologist, was super informative and kind when explaining my ultrasound to me and answering any questions I had. Destiny took my blood, thoughtfully, carefully and quickly. Dr. Thornton, I mean come on! Truly the best— he was extremely thorough and listened to all of my concerns— nothing was overlooked. Global Fertility offers personal and compassionate fertility care. Dr. Thornton truly cares about his patients, their well-being, and their fertility goals. I have been a patient at Global since 2021 and have felt cared for and valued as a person, not just as a patient or a number. The staff at Global are friendly and supportive (thank you, Maria!) and you truly feel like everyone in the practice is rooting for you. I’m so glad I chose Global for my fertility journey.

The staff is courteous and pleasant. The provider, Dr. Thornton, is very knowledgeable, empathetic, easy to speak with, detailed in his explanation, and open for all your questions and concerns. The location is comfortable and easy to reach by subway. I would recommend.

I wish I could give less than one star. Our experience with Dr. Melvin Thornton, the Global Fertility Staff, and the third party liaison was terrible. Dr. Thornton is one of the most wonderful, warm, kind people Ive met in the healthcare field. Unfortunately, in the 4 months we worked with this clinic, we spoke to him once because the third party liaison did not communicate with us. The clinic staff did their best to fill in the gaps but it was chaotic.The communication between the doctor, his staff, the clinic and us was so poorly executed that it took more than 2 months for my wife and I to even obtain simple things like blood test results, and even then, we had to call them to find the results! For every thing that happened from the first appointment to the final call telling them we want to move on to another clinic, It was up to us to push and push and push for information, and for next steps. I dont know who specifically is to blame (doc, clinic, third party staff) because there was so much finger pointing between the clinic, doctor, and third party support staff but trust me, you want to steer clear of this place. It was always us calling them about what happens next, being promised a call back, and then never hearing anything.It took me calling and leaving several angry messages before the Director of the Fertility Clinic called me back (even though I asked to speak to the doctor). When he finally called me back and I recounted the timeline of events, the Director of the clinic admitted it was unacceptable, but he was much more focused on deflecting blame. I get it - its not fun to get yelled at for someone elses mistakes, but come on. He said multiple times that Dr. Thornton works for him but then couldnt do anything about it except to say that he doesnt blame us for wanting to go to a different clinic. Not very professional. No accountability, no effort to find or fix the communication breakdown, and our requests to speak to the doctor directly were denied. Obviously, we were not going to trust people who failed to communicate vital information about blood/semen test results with our precious embryos but the fact that he was so quick to dismiss our concern is very unsettling. Just bizarre.My wife is in her late 30s, so every month counts when it comes to getting pregnant. These people wasted 4 months of valuable time that we cannot get back, not to mention the sleepless nights my wife had to endure because we had no idea what was going to happen next. Please avoid this office. Im sharing my story to help cope with the emotional frustration my wife and I are experiencing, and to help other hopeful families to avoid the same fate.

I feel very lucky to have chosen GFG as my egg freezing clinic.Nurses were very friendly and responsive throughout the entire process. Before the surgery, Dr. Melvin Thornton answered many of my questions and eased my concerns. During the injection process, nurses sent me specific instructions on injection time, types of medication and injection dosage etc. During the surgery, the anesthetist tried his best to ease my mind and calm me down. I have to say, Dr. Thornton is the best at what he does – I didn’t have any blood or pain after the surgery. Everything went so well! Nurses also followed up with me to make sure everything was fine days after the surgery.I highly recommend GFG and Dr. Thornton to everyone. They’re the best!

Dr. Thornton and his staff was my Ferility doctor and they were absolutely wonderful and very supportive on our journey to have a baby. He walked over with my wife on how to select the best egg donor and we were able to get pregnant on our first try with him after many failed attempts by other Ferility Doctors. Dr. Thornton was very patient and answered all our questions. We are absolutely excited for our baby and feel very blessed that we are finally able to have our family.

The scheduler of this clinic refuses to set up a new patient appointment. How come the scheduler is so cruel to a patient? She asked me to go to other clinic. I am under the impression that she just like to get paid by doing nothing every day.

I had a smooth and rewarding experience at Global Fertility & Genetics. Both Stephanie and Jessica are very helpful and friendly. All the other staff members are equally good!

Will revise because I was told that if this review was not taken down, GFG will terminate one of their employees, Evelyn, who was the ONLY person to actually assist me when I needed it. Im told she is a liaison between GFG and Her Serenity (which I was a patient of). The office manager of GFG, Michelle, is a liar and will do/say anything to keep the reputation of GFG alive and well. Her disrespect of speaking over me and attempting to split hairs about GFG vs HS is truly a piece of work, as if they dont both have the same staff (doctors and nurses) and equipment for patients coming in from different places. Im told that GFG has NOTHING to do with HS, yet GFG has deliberately hired staff to assist patients coming from HS and work with them. Also, the clinical coordinator of GFG is emailing me my instructions. It seems that Michelle was keen on forcing it down my throat that HS and GFG have nothing to do with one another; so why am I being treated by the same staff? If I am supposed to be working with HS, wouldnt it be a HIPAA violation that someone from GFG has my records and instructions? Oh, wait, no - because they actually do work together. Michelle really needs to manage these gray areas better and realize that patients fall in that in-between of a Venn Diagram, and have GFG take some responsibility for if/when they mess up.So, 5 stars for Evelyn and zero stars to Michelle.

I my name is Alex Adamski and I am an egg donor. My experience here from my first appointment up until my egg retrieval was amazing. Compared to the last egg retrieval I had in California this one blows that one out of the water. I was in no pain immediately after my surgery or discomfort. They walked through everything. The front desk was so welcoming and kind as was the medical staff. If you’re interested in IVF or you’re an egg donor sent to this clinic. You’re in great hands.

Met Dr Melvin Thornton about 3 times I can tell you this he’s a sweet warm hearted man that tells you everything you need to know he’s done 2 ultrasounds on me without making me feel uncomfortable… not sure if I can say the same about others!!! But hey I’m only there for one purpose so let’s see how this goes on!

Unfortunately if The Mayhem in this office today is a testament to the customer service experience. I will pass.I called prior and spoke to a lovely woman last month. Today was very different. I was treated very Rudely.

I received infertility treatment here.I was very nervous about starting infertility treatment in New York because I wasnt confident in my language skills, but thanks to Tomoko, the Japanese coordinator here, I was able to go to the hospital with confidence. He was present as an interpreter during my consultation with the doctor, and he always responded quickly, kindly, and politely to everything from insurance to trivial questions about treatment, which was very reassuring.Dr. Thornton seemed to have thoroughly understood and analyzed my medical records before my first consultation, and explained the treatment plan and pregnancy probability in detail in an easy-to-understand manner, which made me feel very reliable.The hospital has a homely atmosphere and is very warm.The staff always welcome you kindly.I enjoyed attending.Fortunately, I was able to successfully graduate from the hospital after my second IVF treatment.Its all thanks to the doctors and all the staff here.I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is considering treatment.Thank you very much.

I went to GFG for egg freezing and the experience was very good. The doctor was very professional. I chose Dr. Thornton. He is very nice, professional and humorous. When I didnt understand it at first, he explained the relevant content to me very carefully and patiently answered all my questions. His skills were also very good and I didnt have any physical problems after the operation. I felt unwell, but after a few hours I felt more energetic again. The nurse was also very considerate and took good care of me. She asked me seriously about my feelings and needs. The whole process was smooth and enjoyable. My friends want to do it after hearing what I have done, and I will accompany them.

I was looking for a clinic that could provide support for infertility treatment in Japanese, and I found this clinic. It has been about two years since my first visit to the hospital, and about a year of treatment, but I am grateful for the long-term support I received.Everyone at the clinic is very kind and talks to me in a friendly manner. The receptionist always wished me success in my treatment, and when I found out I was pregnant, they celebrated with me as if it were their own. The doctors and nurses always have positive things to say to me and keep me energized. I was really looking forward to meeting everyone.Tomoko helped me as an interpreter, but since I didnt really understand technical terms, infertility treatments, or the American insurance system, she was very helpful in explaining things in detail each time. The basic means of communication is email, and messages about test results and medication schedules are sent by nurses in English, but Tomoko is available to help when needed. The day before your visit, you will receive a phone call in English to confirm your reservation.Once again, thank you very much for your help.

I was worried about infertility treatment overseas, but I received thorough support from Tomoko! The staff other than Dr. Thorton and Tomoko are kind, and the access is good, so I definitely recommend InNetwork! Other than that, it was great that everything was completed at this clinic.

I was very nervous about my English as it was an American clinic, but Mr. Tomoko took good care of me and my husband and I were able to visit the clinic with confidence. We performed egg freezing and embryo retrieval here. The staff were very nice and patient. Special thanks to Leika and Ningguang for accompanying them online and offline throughout the process. My husband was suddenly transferred, so I searched online and found this hospital before I came to the United States. I successfully graduated from the hospital the other day. I tried IVF several times in Japan and it didnt go well, but fortunately the first IVF here went well and I was able to confirm the heartbeat. From the first time I emailed the coordinator, Tomoko, she consulted with me about everything including insurance and costs. Tomoko was with me during egg retrieval and transplantation, so I was able to receive the treatment with peace of mind. The doctors and nurses were kind, and the clinic was clean and comfortable. I am truly grateful to Tomoko-san and everyone at the clinic. If you are wondering whether to undergo treatment, I would recommend it.

I received treatment here and successfully graduated from the clinic the other day.I myself dont have much knowledge about infertility treatment, and I was worried about the technical terminology in English when it comes to treatment overseas, but Tomoko, the coordinator, was very helpful when explaining the treatment plan from the doctor and during treatments such as egg retrieval. They accompanied me and provided support, including an interpreter. Since she is always stationed at the clinic, if I have a problem or want to ask about a treatment schedule, etc., but I cant express myself well in English, I can ask Tomoko for help, so communication is easier than at other clinics. Tomoko herself has experience in infertility treatment, so I was grateful that she was able to provide support to patients.We considered infertility treatment at a large and well-known hospital, but some people felt uneasy about the necessity of arranging an interpreter, the large assembly line, and the lackluster response. Although it is a small clinic, all infertility treatment can be done at the clinic, and the staff remembers patients faces and everyone is kind and homely, so I enjoyed going there every time for tests and treatment.I chose this clinic because it had Japanese staff, but Dr. Thornton was also very talented and kind. Based on the cause of our infertility, he first explained how long it would take to get pregnant on average. When stepping up to in vitro fertilization, she explained everything in detail to me, including my height and weight, as well as the probability of getting pregnant, so I was able to understand all the treatments, and as a result, I was able to conceive sooner than the treatment period that I had initially stated. Tomoko Okamoto, a Japanese coordinator, emailed me information about the process from 1 to 10 in advance, and I went to the first counseling session. He also acted as an interpreter for the doctor on site and kindly consulted with me regarding the details of my treatment.The teacher was smiling and kind, and I was relieved that she listened to me even with my poor English.As a result, we got pregnant naturally before starting the treatment, so I cant comment on the treatment because I havent received any treatment, but I do know how much Tomokos presence will be a relief to Japanese people seeking infertility treatment. I could feel it.
