I never like given bad review but this office deserves a bad review. My husband and I started this process for like 2 years now. No follow-up, no procedure done. It was bad to the point where we had to go to a different Clinic. Dr Brauer and her team do not do follow-up appointments with their pts. My husband was supposed to do a procedure and no one followed up to see if everything was done. We ALWAYS had to call to get an appointment. Now I want me records and they dont want to give it to me. Telling me they cant find my information in the system. But, they can see me if they want to bill me or my insurance. Im so sad and very disappointed 😞. I pray the people that go here dont waste their time like I did. May God help this place amen.

This place has terrible work ethics. not transparent on procedures, no follow ups. (me and my wife have to reach out to them multiple times (emails and phone) to ask what are the next steps) does not response in a timely manner. Prescribes medications without telling us what they are and what are the side effects. Demands for upfront payment. We decided to move to another place. Filled out a form to request for our full medical records and they gave us a summary, which is useless. And they told us to fill out another form which will take a month for them to send us via electronically and they will charge a fee for; (click, drag, send, done. Sending a package overseas is quicker) They will not expedite forcing us to lose another month cycle. We are back to square one, lost 5 months. This place lives up to it’s name; Shady... this should’ve been a red flag for us.

Dr. Brauer and her team—Meg, Katie, and Sara—are the best. Direct, always available, and exceptionally good at getting results.

I saw Dr Anate Brauer earlier this year and it was an unprofessional and questionably unethical experience. At 45 years old, never before pregnant, Dr. Brauer told me that it would be unethical for any doctor to try and help me undergo IVF due to my low AMH level. Equal parts adamant and appalled, I pressed her on it and she agreed to reconsider working with me, depending on my follicle count. Within two weeks, I was in her office undergoing monitoring on Day 3 and pleased to learn I had several follicles. However, instead of shifting her position, as she said she would, Dr Brauer doubled down, and wrongly snapped that I only had a few follicles (again, 7 was the count) and then shifted the goal post yet again, citing my elevated FSH number as the reason it wasnt ethical to work with me. Luckily, I moved on from Shady Grove and found other doctors. I shared Dr Brauers words with the doctors at CCRM, New Hope and Kofinas Fertility, where I ended up, and they were equally appalled by her behavior. In the end, Dr Brauer was the only person acting in an unethical manner. She clearly was out of her league in trying to support a complicated case as mine. Yet instead of suggesting I find a clinic with the experience to support me, she continually tried to discourage me from trying IVF altogether. The only thing she cared about in my case was preserving her success rate by steering me away from her clinic. However, her self-centeredness couldve killed my morale and caused me to give up my IVF journey before I ever began. Stay away from Dr Brauer, at all costs. Shes unethical, demoralizing and doesnt care about the patient.

I can’t sing Dr. Anate Brauer’s or Shady Grove’s praises enough. I will forever recommend them to other women who are looking into IUI or IVF. The care and support given is unparalleled, and the advanced medical knowledge of Dr. Brauer—and her custom approach to your own body’s needs—is priceless. I had an incredible experience, and the nurses (thank you Lily and Debs!) just make the whole process that much more enjoyable. I felt like I was in the best hands the whole way through, and can’t imagine having to go through IVF anywhere else.

I dont even know how to start to express how thankful I am for Dr. Brauer and the SGF team. SGF was my second IVF clinic. After 2 retrievals and 4 failed transfers at clinic one, I left and found Dr. Brauer. I had only ever experienced fertility care where your doctor barely knows your name and had no idea that there was another solution out there. Shady Grove is it! Dr. Brauer is by far the most attentive and thoughtful doctor I have ever worked with. She takes the time to get to get to know you and your needs. She is committed to finding a customized solution for you and your body - for me this involved trying new things. She personally calls you both when things go well and if things do not go according to plan. She goes above and beyond for her patients and I do not know where I would be without her. Beyond just Dr. Brauer, I have to say that the whole team at SGF is truly an amazing group of professionals and people. I am so truly thankful that I found them. Together they make a very stressful and emotional process as bearable as it can be.

I came to Dr. Brauer at SGF at the recommendation of my OBGYN (1060) trying to get a better handle of what was happening with my fertility. I was looking for guidance, support and knowledge and Dr. Brauer really delivered on that all starting with our initial call where she gave me a detailed lesson on fertility overall and answered all of my questions. It was obvious from our first call that she was someone I could trust. From there, I spent many months trying various treatments and felt supported not only by her but by the fabulous nursing staff (shout out to Lily and Sarah specifically!) and other doctors who I got to know as well. There is extreme care given to patients - they call you after each appointment when you can ask any and all questions; and they are super speedy to return messages in the patient portal and from extra phone calls. Another great thing for me is how early in the morning they see you (starting at 6:45am) and how quickly you are seen. There were some mornings I was in and out in 10 minutes flat. Fertility is not an easy journey but Dr. Brauer and team made mine manageable and as comfortable as possible.

Love Dr. Brauer! She is personable and down to earth while being extremely thorough. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that is going through IVF.

Dr Brauer is one of the most caring doctors I have ever been to. In a very isolating and often lonely journey, she is an advocate, a source of information, and a shoulder to lean on. I could not have imagined going through any of this without her and the whole team at SGF.

I am so grateful to Dr. Brauer and my care team at SGF NY for all of their support throughout my fertility journey and most of all, for never giving up on me no matter how many times we hit what felt like a dead end. Dr. B. is a wonderfully knowledgeable, kind and compassionate physician (with a good sense of humor) and I know that she was truly invested in helping me achieve my goals to build my family. Highly recommend SGF NY!

Not knowing what to expect when we set out on our fertility journey and being nervous and naive about what lie in store for us, Dr. Brauer took our hands and walked with us as we took our first steps towards parenthood. IVF can be an emotional journey full of ups and downs. Ours certainly was. But Dr. B served as a constant in our process, someone who fueled our hopes and helped us set realistic expectations. Part doctor, part counselor, part realist, and part fun aunt, Dr. Brauer was always what we needed her to be. Ultimately we couldnt have asked for a better reproductive endocrinologist. Now 16 weeks expecting, were excited to meet our baby girl this summer. One day, we hope shell get to meet Dr. B to celebrate the wonders of science and get to know the passionate professional who helped bring her into this world.

Wonderful experience at Shady Grove. Doctor Brauer & her staff (specifically Lily and Debs) are the best! Hands down.I always felt welcome, comfortable and clear on next steps. Dr Brauers positive but realistic attitude made a very difficult process feel easier. I cannot thank Shady Grove enough!Expecting in December!! XO

Dr. Romanski and his staff were amazing. they were all so nice and helpful. lovely to work with and listen and help with all of my problems. i recommend to all that want advance or help or to get checked out to go to Dr. Romanski to do so.

Dr. Brauer and her team at SGF were incredible! Egg/embryo freezing is an intense process, but they made it as easy as possible and I could not recommend them more highly.
