Dr. Ravin and RN Miss Shannon were beyond amazing, making sure I felt comfortable, informed, and supported every step of the way. Their professionalism and kindness made the delivery experience one that I will never forget.After delivery, the postpartum team, including Katherine, Rosie, and many others, were equally exceptional. They were thorough, compassionate, and took the time to explain everything to me during my recovery. I felt like I was in the best hands, and their attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference.I truly trusted the entire team, and I am so grateful for their incredible service. Yesterday I had my beautiful baby girl and I couldn’t do it with Dr. Ravins, Such an amazing person and helped me through my labor. From the moment I got pregnant everyone spoke super poorly about getting an epidural and yesterday while giving birth I decided on an epidural and it was the best decision of my life. I allowed myself to enjoy my labor instead of being in pain (while you still feel pressure). I’m so thankful for Dr. Ravins and him being apart of my biggest moment because he made me feel so comfortable.

Dr Ravens is the best Doctor ever . Considering the fact I was so scared that I was having twins Dr Ravens and his staff took all my worries away. The nurses and the doctors are so attentive and super caring , having twins is a scary situation but the staff made me feel so comfortable and important , my twins came out vaginal , both healthy and strong . They were four minutes apart and my last twin was delivered still in his sack which was something I’ve never experienced or even witnessed before so that was life changing for me. I’m so thankful and feel so blessed to be able to deliver my twins with loving and caring Doctors and nurses .

I really want to share my birthing experience with everyone. This was my first child, and I had initially decided on a cesarean section because I wanted everything to be simple—just get the anesthesia and have the baby taken out. However, I didn’t expect my baby to arrive early. By the time I got to the hospital, I was already 4 centimeters dilated. While waiting for the doctor to perform the surgery, I progressed to 10 centimeters, so I had to choose between waiting or delivering myself. I decided to give it a try!I want to tell you all that Dr. Ravins is an amazing doctor! He and his team were incredible! They provided me with tremendous encouragement. I completed the entire labor in just 30 minutes, using the breathing techniques he taught me and pushing in the right way. Afterward, he patiently stitched me up and removed the placenta. Everything exceeded my initial fears about vaginal delivery. I want to tell you not to be afraid of vaginal birth; trust yourself and trust the doctors—they are the best team!

Dr. Steven Ravins was amazing! He suggested the safest way for my situation was a c-section and let me tell you, it was the best decision I’ve made. I had two vaginal births and my second child had a clavicle fracture, with this being my third pregnancy and was already measuring bigger than my second child it would have been a worse outcome if I had her vaginally. He was so patient and made me feel so comfortable. He really took his time to make sure I and the baby was safe.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The epidural was a lifesaver! It provided me quick and effective pain relief, allowing me to focus and feel more at ease during such an important moment. The process was handled with care and professionalism. Thank you to a great team. Dr. Ravins we Love you.

I loved my experience here. Wonderful staff! Wonderful doctor. They made my labor less scarier then what I imagined. They were very attentive. I took the epidural and it was the best decision for the pain. The doctors talked me through the entire experience and I was able to have a beautiful healthy baby with no tearing. 10/10 would recommend this hospital a billion times.

I had such an awesome experience giving birth here! I want to say thank you to Shannon, Jessica, Rangan, and Dr. Ravins for helping my husband and I bring baby into the world. My wish was respected and most of all Simple. As far as epidural, I did my own research and advise you do the same. Also, I recommend getting the epidural first only if you labored long enough by yourself or with the vaginal pill and made little progress to where you have to get pitocin. Thank me later!

The Ravins’ accessibility is unparalleled—they were always available via text for any of my concerns, and their late office hours made it possible for my husband to attend every appointment.The entire staff, from their sonogram tech, Linda, to the front desk team, is attentive, warm, and exceptional at what they do. I am so grateful for the extraordinary care I received at Raveco Medical, and I would recommend them to anyone seeking compassionate, expert care.

All of the doctors and nurses are experts and truly know what to advise their patients. Their expertise allows them to guide their patients to have a safe and easy delivery. I would come back to have many more babies with Raveco.

My first pregnancy and birth went so perfectly at Raveco Medical I went back to them for seconds. I’ll be forever grateful for Dr. Olkowski and Dr. Ravins for their care and expertise during both my pregnancies. Dr. O has great bedside manner and a sense of humor that puts my husband and I at ease every time we visit. Dr. Ravins performed my scheduled c-section again for my 2nd baby. Not only is he a warm and friendly doctor, this guy is a magician too. I didn’t think I could feel this good just days after having major surgery. Truly a master at his craft. My stay at Mount Sinai South Nassau was wonderful as well, the nurses were so compassionate and I could not have asked for a better experience bringing my 2 babies into the world.

I recently had the pleasure of delivering my first baby at South Nassau hospital in Oceanside, NY. My experience is one I will not forget. Dr. Ravins, nurse Summer and the rest of the team listened to my concerns and wishes regarding birth and helped to guide me to those goals. I came in 5cm dilated after laboring at home and knew I wanted a fully natural vaginal delivery. No epidural, no pitocin, nothing. During the hours of labor I was not pushed or convinced to doing an epidural. I was provided with my pain management options during the entire process. I also had a fear of being pushed into an unnecessary c-section but that did not happen either.Once it was time to push Dr. Ravins reassured me everything would be okay. I felt comfortable, informed, and supported the entire time. I stated to the staff I did not want to birth on my back and was supported with this decision but was also informed on how and when to push and what it should feel like. Once we started my son was born in 5/6 pushes with minimal tearing. I was given lidocaine so that Dr. Ravins could stitch me up. To all women considering going natural DO IT. Trust your body and what it was designed to do and trust your staff. Again during this process I did not feel pushed to do anything I did not want and I’d do it again with my amazing staff. Thank you guys!!!

I came in with a plan, of no epidural because I was scared. But honestly once they broke my water the pain was unbearable. The epidural was last minute got it and everything got so much better. The anesthesia did it so well and Dr.Ravens guide me through the labor it, and the aftermath I’m feeling okay and better. My legs was numb but I got it back. I’m super please :) thanks again

I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Ravens delivery team, and I cant recommend them highly enough. Their professionalism, combined with their humor, made a potentially stressful experience remarkably smooth and enjoyable. They were attentive and ensured that everything went as seamlessly as possible. My baby had a nuclear cord (two cords) around his neck and every contraction it was suffocating him. Dr Raven team made me feel so much better about what was happening and ensured me my little munchkin was going to be ok throughout the whole process.My first labor with my daughter 17 months ago I didnt have the epidural and was on pitocin (miserable experience)!I was initially against getting an epidural this time around as well, but after discussing it with Dr. Ravens, I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! The epidural allowed me to rest comfortably through contractions and made the entire process much more manageable. The team’s expertise and supportive approach truly made all the difference.So overall, amazing experience aside from the fact that my husband fainted first push and was taken out of the room!Highly recommend!

I didnt meet Dr. Ravins in your average patient/doctor way. I met him a few days after he saved my life. I was taken to the nearest emergency room after experiencing multiple seizures during my pregnancy and he performed a flawless emergency C-section. He saved me and my 31 weeker.10 years later I am back to have my 3rd child with him. (He delivered my second as well - I am a forever patient). Today is day 3 postpartum and my pain is manageable. He came to check on me, and as usual his demeanor is professional yet caring and compassionate. He really cares about the needs and wants of his patients. Ive had 3 kids and of course that did a number on my belly & confidence. He was able to tighten it up for me. Not often do you get a baby and your confidence all in one surgery.I have recommended him to countless people (he even delivered my sisters baby last month). I cannot say enough nice things about this man & his entire practice. Highly recommend.

I couldn’t have been more happy with Dr. Ravins during my labor and delivery. I went into my obgyn appointment Thursday morning for my 39 week checkup, when I was advised to go into the hospital for an unexpected induction. As I was being induced, I was informed about the growth restriction my baby had and further explained by Dr. Ravins my delivery plan. After two days laboring and many approaches to be dilated from medications, to getting into many positions, I couldn’t get passed 8cm without baby’s heart rate dipping. I was told I’d have to get a c section, which I was really avoiding and expressed my true concerns to Dr. Ravins. He tried literally everything to get me dilated safely and avoid baby from De-chilling. The last thing to do was keep me in a position where baby’s heart rate was consistent without having any dips. I remained in a butterfly position for an hour or two as I laid down and that got me to 9cm with baby’s heart rate remaining consistent. Dr. Ravins was monitoring me all night and came into my room with the great news that I will be delivering my baby vaginally as I wanted. We were so so close to having a c section but thanks to Dr. Ravins he literally did everything the safest and best way he could to preserve me during delivery and deliver me vaginally. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable, genuinely caring and understanding to my wants, he had amazing bedside care and manner. We could not have asked for anyone else. Dr. Ravins was the ultimate advocate for us and for that I will always appreciate him. My partner and I loved having him as our doctor to deliver our baby girl safely and healthy. I would without a doubt recommend him to any and every woman I know who is expecting.

Super nice team of nurses and doctors! If you decide to take the epidural I swear is Very helpful and it will let you have some rest and sleep well before having your baby! The attention and everything else was very nice!

Dr Ravens it’s my favorite favorite Dr ever. He is so calm nice and gentle. He had done my previous c section and now he did my reconstruction after delivering natural. He is amazing. Dr ravens is really amazing. I had to make a decision between a vaginal delivery or c section in order to not have complications. I really wanted to have a vaginal birth but after careful consideration and talking it over I decided to do what was best and I must say doing a c section with dr ravens was the best decision I’ve ever made. Had an excellent experience, Dr. Steven and his team are very professional, compassionate, kind and all positive. They make you feel safe at all times because with my first baby I had a really bad experience so I was really scare of this C section, but they make it feel like nothing especially RN April she is all what you espect from a real Nurse. She made me feel good at all times was very compassionate and kind. Thank you all I had a great experience this time.

I just had a C-section on 8/16/24 by Dr. Ravins and I have to say it was EVERYTHING I could’ve asked for! I had a prior C-section in 2011 at Jamaica Hospital and it was the worst pain and recovery I’ve ever been through, and even complaining about the pain, it was ignored. Dr. Ravins’ team at Mt Sinai made sure I was well taken care of, especially pain-wise, as I have fibromyalgia so I’m more susceptible to pain. I’m only 2 days post-op and I’m already feeling so much better than I did with my previous C-section more than 2 WEEKS post-op! I honestly couldn’t recommend my care team and the hospital enough. I’m absolutely grateful for their bedside manner and for the care the team has provided. 10/10 would absolutely recommend and I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat! Thank you to Dr. Ravins and the team at the clinic, as well as the team at the hospital for everything!

Words can’t explain how GRATEFUL I am with everybody from Raveco Medical. Nicole was very caring, supportive and attentive every time I had an appointment during my pregnancy . She made me feel like home with her care. I had my second c section on July 23,2024 with Doctor Steven who was very professional, attentive and caring. I got keloid from my last c section 8 years ago and Doctor Steven removed the prevoius scar making the new scar to look like a plastic surgery. My hospital experience was GREAT! I THANK YOU!!

Throughout the entire pregnancy I tried to do as much research and self education I could to best prepare for my sons arrival. I was able to do a drug free delivery, it’s something that was very important to me and I cannot stress the importance of having the right staff, people who hear you and respect your requests (as long as it’s safe for you and baby of course). I have delivered both of my boys at Mount Sinai South Nassau and I don’t see myself delivering anywhere else. Dr Ravins and the whole staff of nurses (both deliveries) kept me very informed and were extremely patient and understanding of all my questions and concerns. They literally made all the difference in my experiences and could not have been any more helpful. For anyone considering delivering here or is unsure of the doctor to choose, you cannot go wrong with him. I love it here.

I had a wonderful birthing experience here as a first time mom ! I recieved the epidural and it was very helpful after sitting through contractions plus it also helped me while pushing to NOT tear at all !! Special Thank you too Dr. Raven for being so efficient and very gentle , also my wonderful labor&delivery nurse Brooke.

I’ve been going to Ravenco for my first pregnancy and yesterday I delivered a healthy baby boy. I had a schedule induction at 39 weeks . As a first time mom going through this it was very difficult. I was not dilated at all coming in to the induction which was discouraging. I had all these things being done to me to help me induce. I took 6 rounds of cytotech plus the folly balloon. My induced labor last 36 hours. 24 of those I was at 2cm and didn’t move. Then I got to 5cm and lasted there for 12 hours. That was one of the hardest things. I made the decision to go for a c section at that point. I knew my body and it was just not giving any more after 36 hours with no food and going through pain. It’s always very important to advocate for your self during these situations. You know your own body and it’s also important to have a medical team that supports you. Thank you to doctor Steven ravins and delivering my beautiful baby boy.

I wasnt going to write a review initially because I moved and got a new amazing OBGYN and forgot about the experience at Raveco. Unfortunately, I continue to receive very costly bills from Raveco almost a year after my last visit there. I feel that tests should be approved by insurance first before proceeding with tests and then sticking patients with thousands of dollars in bills a year after the fact. Aside from this, I was seen by a doctor maybe once (I was pregnant) and only got seen by NPs all other times (who were lovely). The wait times were long and the office itself isnt the most appealing.

This was my first birth experience and I am beyond happy to have been attended to by Dr. Raven’s team. His team is above par with bedside manner, attentiveness to mom and baby, and overall wonderful to be around during an extremely satisfying but difficult time for a mom to be.I went in for a vaginal delivery but baby decided he wanted to stay a bit longer and when the need for a c- section arose, Dr. Raven’s team pulled through quickly and more importantly successfully.I owe many thanks to their team and Mt. Sinai South Nassau’s labor and delivery staff for delivering my perfect baby boy. We are overjoyed.

Dr. Steven Ravins delivered all 3 of my boys who are 14, 5 and newborn. This recent experience was by far the most memorable. Having had two previous C-sections with him, I was scheduled for my 3rd one until I took a chance and tried for a vaginal birth. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor to be there helping me do one of the hardest things I’ll ever do in my life! He coached me every step of the way and it was a fast successful vaginal delivery. His team at Mount Sinai south Nassau was so attentive and caring during the whole process. We are still in shock at how fast and smooth this labor and delivery went. I felt confident and at ease with the decision to try a vaginal birth knowing Dr.Ravins would be there! Dr. Ravins is truly a great, educated doctor. He reassured all my worries of an epidural and induction for my pre-eclampsia. This is my first baby, so when I went in Friday night at 10 pm, I was shocked to realize by 1 am Sunday she was born! Once he came in to assist, I pushed for maybe 20 minutes and she came right out! I’m truly grateful for such an amazing experience thanks to the help and knowledge of Dr. Ravins!!

Mr ravins!!! Nothing short of amazing my twin girls was born 3 weeks early 3/22/24 and he performed my c section first of all let me say what c section?!!! Everything stated about this guy is true from start to finish and i just wanna thank you for making my experience great this is my 4th pregnancy but my first c section and him and his team worked together to insure my safety for me to be comfortable oh yea and i don’t even look like i had a c section two days ago🥺🥺

What can I say ?! I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Dr. Stevens! & all other Doctors, PA’s, MA’s at RaveCo. I have been coming to this practice since I was 16 years old! 10 years later who would’ve thought Dr Ravins would be delivering 2/3 of my babies. Unfortunately for my first born (pregnant during covid) i had to go to another DR & it was truly traumatic since they were booked up months in advance. For my second pregnancy 2 years later I immediately made my appointment with RaveCo & for the time of my delivery his team at his practice & at the hospital made everything so easy he fixed any issue i had going on & made me feel better about myself & I can say the same again as he delivered my 3rd & last baby a day ago!! This is to show how one Doctor who listens can make a difference & that’s no exaggeration!!

I love the RAVECO team. Very caring, knowledgeable, willing to teach and made sure me and my baby were doing great at all times. Dr. Garcia is just very patient and helpful. Always willing to answer all my questions and Dr. Olkowsky and the whole hospital team were just marvelous during my delivery. I was really scared about delivery but they made the whole experience that much better. Im truly grateful!

The rating on this review is entirely based on Dr. Nicole B’s professional service and knowledge.As a first time mom it has been very difficult navigating through what to do and not to do…However, Dr. Nicole has made the journey a bit easier through postpartum visits. I have been much comfortable going to Raveco after a few bumps in the road because of her. She has been very understanding throughout my pregnancy and post pregnancy. There are many who may be dismissive of the mental health of women going through major changes in life especially as a woman of color. As mentioned earlier, her empathy and experience of motherhood has made me stay with this practice. Although it’s recommended to see the doctors who will be performing the delivery, she’s always checked in with me prior or after the initial visit.I am glad that I have finally found a great gynecologist and we all know how hard that is…Now for RAVECO Medical as a practice, not much to say as it’s almost always busy and there are long waits so be prepared to wait for at least 1-2 hours in the waiting room. They do not allow more than one person in the room with you nor do they allow cameras during your sonogram process (which is bogus because it ruins the experience of capturing each and every moment you see your unborn child as you don’t get to feel the emotion through a few sonogram print outs) … This was really important for me as my entire family was very much involved in my pregnancy as he is the first grandson and nephew of the family…My first-born. The person who takes the sonogram downstairs is also horrible, she always rushes to complete the sono and had no empathy. I had to switch to Linda (who is amazing btw) for sonograms upstairs for the lack of professionalism downstairs (don’t even remember her name).For the emotional aspect, this practice would be rated 2-3 stars.Dr. Ravins is a great surgeon when it comes to C-Sections as he has over a decade worth of experience in this field. With that, keep in mind, he will be busy and there will be moments where you feel rushed but he’s just that popular and busy. He has a great reputation at Mount Sinai South Nassau so if you’re scheduled a C-Section, you will be in great hands.

Dr. Ravins performed my repeat c section snd tubal removal. I cant believe how its a day later and Im able to move so much better than last time, which was not performed by Dr. Ravins. I have significantly less issues and am better able to care for my newborn. Dr Kahn was amazing and supportive as the anesthesiologist. She comforted me and eased my anxiety through the whole process. I highly recommend this team. They made my husband and I feel so confident and we are so happy with our decision.

I’ve been with Dr Ravins and their team at Raveco since 2007, for the birth of my first child. My experience was extraordinary. Natural birth, no internal V damage and it was all due to the experience and care of Dr Ravins and his darling wife Claudia. Fast forward 16 years to the birth of my second baby. Of course I came back to these wonderful doctors. My baby was growing well, a bit on the smaller side, however we were monitored by the doctors at Raveco throughout my pregnancy. I had a generally healthy diet, moderate exercise (mainly walking) and kept stress to a minimum. After a complete and thorough exam at week 36 + and being hit from behind by another vehicle, Dr Ravins made the wisest decision to induce labor at 37 weeks, 3 weeks earlier than we had originally planned. During my induction, we tried every position and method to have a natural delivery, but my baby was in distress and we were rushed into emergency surgery. Within 10 minutes of being prepped and medicated, I heard my baby’s cry for the first time. Dr Ravins safely delivered a healthy, happy baby, ready to see the world. During the cesarían, I was comfortable, awake and aware of what was happening. (No pain)The staff was incredible at communicating with me throughout the entire procedure, staying by my side for as long as it took for the doctor to put me back together. It’s expected after major surgery to be sore and in pain for a little while, however I must say, day one after the surgery is like going through physical therapy, learning how to walk again etc. with the helpful staff at Mt Sinai Oceanside, I was up and walking on day 1 after the ceasarian, yes it was painful but you need to push through that pain and give yourself the confidence to keep going for your baby. If you keep moving, slowly walking, or just standing I promise you’ll feel better. I was impressed by my speedy recovery on day 2. The pain was 50% gone, I moved around without assistance, showered and had my bandages removed. Seeing the incisions were shocking in a good way. It’s SMALL, thin and almost invisible. Dr Steven Ravins is a medical magician in his craft and I trust him completely for the health and safety of my babies and myself. Imagine being at a restaurant and the chef tells you to sit back and let them bring you dinner, once course after the other, each time being more impressive until you’ve had the best meal of your life. If you Put your trust in the doctors and let them take the lead, and everything will be perfectly fine. I now have a healthy baby and a body that looks like I was not carrying a human for the past 9 months. 😬

The team of nurses and doctors were beyond professional, competent and calm during the birth of our son. I cannot say that things would have had such a happy ending if it weren’t for Dr. Ravens and his team. Our babies fluids were low and after my water breaking his heart beat declined rapidly, literally our worst nightmare as parents. The doctors and nurses jumped into action while remaining calm and didn’t waste a second to get me to the operating room. Within 15 minutes of my water breaking our baby was born happy and healthy. Our worst nightmare turned into the best moment of our lives when we got to hold our son. The C-section was painless and my recovery could not be going any smoother. Our baby is doing perfectly, all thanks to Dr. Ravens and the incredible nurse and support staff. From the bottom of our heart, thank you!!!!

Just had my second baby at Mercy Hospital, what an amazing experience !! The Doctors, nurses, and staff treated us with such great hospitality, they took the time to explain what to expect, hear our worries and provide guidance. My first son was delivered during the covid pandemic in one of those Larger Hospitals, plus it didnt help our cause I tested positive for Covid plus pneumonia. We were looked at like Aliens, avoided by any means. After my c-section I was forced to fend for myself, causing me great pain and discomfort.If my husband and I decided to search for the baby girl, Mercy Hospital is where our baby will be born.

My experience was great, I got well taken care of any questions I had was answered, every nurse I had were very nice and gentle, they took good care of me. When it came time to deliver the baby they made sure to walk me through each step and make it as comfortable as possible for me , they made sure the father of my child was involved during the delivery as well. They didn’t judge me with any decisions I made for me or the baby, in fact they were really supportive. When it came to spend time with him in the mommy and baby room the nurses were always checking in making sure everything was fine with my child and I. Any test they had to do they made sure to let me know in full details what kind of test it was so I had a better understanding and not worry. They were big on what the baby needs after leaving the hospital, giving us suggestions of doctors, ways to feed him etc. In overall I had a great experience I would highly recommend this hospital to all the momsOut there and especially if you are a first time mom, I couldn’t have ask for a safer and better experience. My baby and I were in great care.

Dr Olkowski is my OB I absolutely love him. I had the pleasure of meeting and having my baby delivered by Dr Ravin he is amazing. I had my support system with me but Dr Ravin is so encouraging and supportive. I am greatful for all the staff of Raveco Medical Clinic especially Dr. Steven Ravins who took care of my 3rd delivery, I chose Dr. Steven and his team for all of my 3 pregnancies with vaginal delivery because I know I will be in great hands. Taking the epidural with my 3 pregnancies made my labor and delivery feel so much better. I can concentrate on delivering my baby without pain getting in the way. May you have more women to help during their most exciting milestone and help them to finally meet their little bundle of joy.

On March 11th 2023 Dr. Ravins delivered my beautiful baby girl Phoebe Penelope. She arrived 10 days earlier than my scheduled C-Section due to complications with my blood pressure. Prior to the delivery I was very scared, nervous and anxious for two reasons 1.) Being I watched a lot of different YouTube videos about C-Sections and how awful/painful they were 2.) How my elevated BP could affect my unborn child. But, Dr. Ravins all around energy put all those insecurities to rest and my mind at ease. He knows exactly what he’s doing and he does an excellent job! If your baby is breech like mine was or if you have to have an emergency c-section Dr. Ravins is the man for the job 10 out of 10. It’s been a week my scar is healing nicely; the work was very neat. I’ll be seeing him at the beach this summer.

Great experience having my first baby. Everyone was caring and supportive, the entire process of labor was a caring and special experience; nurses and doctors are respectful and understanding. Definitely thank everyone for the care and kindness that they all developed. You can feel that they are always trying what’s best for you and your baby. They made the whole experience to run out smoothly and not as dramatic I thought it would be. It is a very nice and clean place as well!

When I arrived I was very nervous. I did not know what to expect reason being that I never had a c-section. Upon arriving the staff was very welcoming and reassured me that everything would be fine. My baby was weighing in at almost 10 pounds but the staff made me feel very comfortable. When I got into the delivery room for the procedure, my nerves were all over the place. The nurse that handled me did an amazing job at calming me down, the doctors were excellent, and the anesthesiologist was great. They worked together amazingly. I couldn’t ask for a better team. The recovery was smooth and all the nurses were very attentive to me and the baby. My experience here was amazing and I would recommend anyone who is nervous about a c-section to come here.

I was extremely nervous about getting a c-section but the procedure ended up being amazing and the recovery was much easier than I anticipated. The best experience after I delivered a very healthy 9lb 4oz baby the nurses were amazing and so attentive. Dr Steven Ravins is everything you can ask for in a Doctor, the nurses and the attending doctors did everything they could to avoid giving me a C section. Dr. Ravens is a phenomenal physician! I had the privilege to be delivered and have my tubes tied by his hands and the process went smoothly and quickly. He also put a faja (pelvic band) to keep everything in place. Such a great experience delivering my third c-section with such a professional doctor!

Great doctor great staff…went into labor for twelve hours with no hope of dilating and dr raven came to my rescue. He has a great sense of humor and witty personality but will tell it to you straight and to the point. He is supportive and great at what he does. I hate to get a c-section and did it fast and efficiently as possible to make sure your with your baby quickly. I had such an amazing experience with Dr. Ravens! He performed my C-section which was the most comfortable experience. My experience giving birth with Dr Ravins was incredible! Truly unforgettable and such a positive experience!My first baby’s birth was an induction fromScratch. I had mild preeclampsia and my baby had to come on due date.I had an epidural before contractions even begun so I felt completely relaxed through the whole labor.Aside for the few uncomfortable factors with epidural like the shakes, I overall had a beautiful experience with the epidural.Thank G-D my baby came out healthy beautiful and barely any stitching all thanks to Dr Ravins guidance helping me through each push to not tear.I just gave birth to my second baby and decided to try to go natural this time with no epidural and let my body run the show.working through each contraction was so beautiful I felt in control of what was happening.I was able to get off the bed and breathe through contractions and feel my body work the baby downward and out.the nurses supported me through my decision to go natural no epidural. They encouraged the breathing encouraged me to keep going and didn’t keep asking or nudging me to go with epidural.I did not hire a doula and was shocked at how encouraging these nurses and Drs were I didn’t even need a doula!Dr Ravins helped me push the baby out with the least tearing possible!He encouraged breaking the waters to reduce tearing and reduce the pain I was in.I’m glad I listened!Thank G-D we had a beautiful healthy baby boy within 2 hours of arrival to the hospital.Both births were so beyond beautiful and I’m very glad I have only positive experiences regarding both baby’s birth stories.I’ve tried other OB practices before my healthy pregnancies and babies and I only go back to these doctors as they’re professional knowledgeable and so caring I cannot be more thankful to them!Thank you Dr Ravins and his wonderful team of doctors and nurses!

Just delivered our second baby with Dr. Shapiro and Dr. Ravins team at South Nassau! Both times we had such different experiences, but equally amazing care and treatment. Our first baby, we made it in time for an epidural, and had a great delivery. Second baby, we barely made it in time to deliver, so missed my chance to receive any medication, but just as amazing! Love Dr. Ravins and Dr. Shapiro for their expertise and wonderful bedside manner. ❤️

I had the best experience giving birth at Mount Sinai Hospital. My daughter came at 37wks due to my high blood pressure and when I tell you the doctors and nurses never made me feel more comfortable. The whole process from getting the epidural to finally pushing and meeting my baby girl was so easy all because of the great staff that was in the delivery room with me. They are all so patient & polite and and I don’t thing could have had a better experience❤️.

Dr. Ravens delivered my second child and in comparison to my first delivery it was such a great experience. Another great experience with this practice! Dr. Ravens delivered my first and Dr. Shapiro delivered my second the other day. Both doctors are so knowledgeable and experienced you can just tell you are in good hands the whole way through. Both doctors were great during delivery, calm and focused but informative and clear with directions. They also really take their time after delivery to ensure the perfect healing outcome both medically and cosmetically. Their residents are absolutely amazing all very welcoming and well trained! I wouldn’t let any other practice deliver my babies.

My birth story with baby # 4 and my 4th c section. Dr. Raveco and his team are awesome, I came into my c section with possible complications of a placenta accreta and pre eclampsia. My delivery with Dr. Raveco was fast and easy, he made sure to make me feel comfortable before, during, and after the procedure. After surgery he put on a bandage which had helped so much with getting up and walking around. Dr. Raveco you did a master piece not only did you just performed a c section you took your time to fix my scar thank you!! My family’s complete after having 3 girls finally I have my baby boy. Wow if I had an option to go back in time and choose a doctor for my previous c sections I will most definitely choose Dr. Raveco. Thank you so much !!

I had a great experience here everyone was nice and helpful I’m glad I gave birth here they took very good care of me and the baby, the epidural made it painless. I highly recommend any women having secound thoughts about getting the epidural to do it.

What can say, Dr. Ravins and his team has been nothing but the best! From coming in with an anxious feeling to having a great calming support from him and his team. I’ve been grateful with the care and attention me and my newborn have received with constant check ins to make sure we were comfortable. Getting a c-section isn’t easy recovery but with his amazing hands after surgery it almost feels like I didn’t even have one. And not like my previous c-sections I was able to get up with minimal pain and walk around. Thank You Dr. Ravins ! We couldn’t be happier :-)

I had such a great experience at Mount Sinai South Nassau compared to my first c section I can honestly say from the anesthesia to the actual surgery it was very painless and the staff was great they all made me feel super comfortable every step of the way because they saw how nervous i was although i did have a prior c section it was an emergency so to know i was going straight into surgery this time around was super nerve wrecking but they definitely knew how to calm my nerves and make it a wonderful experience im so happy my little man is here! Thank you guys again for making this such a personable smooth and painless experience for me💙

He made my delivery a lot easier and smoother than expected. Definitely the best birthing experience I’ve been through.

What an amazing experience with Raveco. They really care to all your needs everything from big to small. Labor was definitely a big scare for me being that this was my first child and I was being induced. I was told over and over again by outsiders to not get the epidural but after 8 hours of labor I caved and got it. I don’t regret getting it one bit! everything went smooth from there on. Dr Shapiro delivered my baby boy and her positive words and all her encouragement really made the process a whole lot easier. Everyone at Raveco really is great and I would give them more stars if I could. I definitely recommend them.

I would definitely recommend Raveco medical center as a doctor to see! Along with their staff, the Mount Sinai hospital made me feel very comfortable during my birth experience. I had my first epidural and I can honestly say, it carried me thru my c-section. At first, when the do the procedure, it was a slight bit of discomfort beings you feel the medication entering thru the IV, but once it settle down about 25-30 minutes later, the birthing experience was a lot easier. It made things go by smoother and being a first time mom, I’ve had my own doubts about it at first. I definitely recommend it to all the soon to be and new moms that are curious about the process and it will assist them during childbirth.

The saying goes “ strong body, strong mind” I say, strong mind , strong body. That’s how I made it through the birthing of my first child, my daughter. I am a first time, 39 year old mom who worries of things that haven’t even happened yet. Same goes for what I would experience during my pregnancy journey and specifically how my delivery would be. I have been anxious of what my body would have to endure during the 9 months , the labor and delivery and now what’s to come now that she is here. People tend to “scare you” with their own personal experiences. I was smart enough to not let those experiences influence what would be my own. So this statement isn’t to scare anyone, it’s to inspire someone else who may over think like me. I had a really good pregnancy (which some say is a miracle in itself) so I thought that my delivery would be so much harder. Not everything can be this easy but I was wrong. It wasn’t easy , and it wasn’t as hard as I imagined. I had to block out the rest of the world and concentrate on the ultimate goal and that was to delivery a healthy baby girl into this world because it wasn’t about me. It was and now always be about her. I was told that I would be induced as I was already 40 weeks and 2 days along. I wanted to continue to delivery “ naturally” not feel like my baby was being forced. Of course, there’s my medical reasons that it had to be done. So I had to mentally prepare myself for the scheduled date and time to start my induction to then start my labor and delivery. I came to Mt Sinai South Nassau Hospital which wasn’t my first choice ( only due to the distance from my home) but I am so glad I came here. The staff and doctors have been so amazing and attentive. I have had such a great experience here. Especially due to Dr. Ravins. I checked in at 10:15 AM Monday Morning and delivered Tuesday morning at 8:27 AM. And although those were the longest 20 plus hours , I wouldn’t have been able to get through it if it weren’t for the staff and their amazing medical advice. One advice that I want to share now, and that was the decision to get an epidural. I was told all the pros and cons from everyone’s passed experience or just what I was told about it. I was 50/50 on my decision to take it or not. I am so glad that I did. Dr.ravins and his team helped guide me to make the right decision for myself and my child. Nothing was ever encouraged or discouraged. They leave it all to you. I am so glad that I took it as I was holding off from taking it for 9 plus hours. I will never advise anyone to do anything that I would do or not do. I am just glad that I didn’t listen to the outside world. I took that epidural like a champ! Why? Bc I prepared myself mentally so much that the physical didn’t even matter. Hours later, I was blessed with my daughter. So whoever is reading this, remember, you got this! It is your journey and no one else’s. A strong mind is what will get you through it, the strong body will follow!

Im a girl from Italy and what I think is that I have never met such professional and kind doctors, Im really grateful that I met doctor Steven and his team especially Nicole B. I love her and the way she works but above all in the hospital everything was excellent, the staff was always ready to help you, to support you and always attentive to everything. I will never stop thanking them all for allowing me to have such a beautiful and unforgettable experience for my first baby 9lbs 7oz and 21.4 inch natural childbirth.

DR.Ravins was like a heaven Sent! For myself I came into the hospital heavily set on having a natural vaginal birth which Doctors Ravins advocated for me until the end. Once things got too much for me and baby to handle Dr.Ravins made the necessary call for an emergency C-section. I was very scared but Dr. Ravins made the entire process as smooth as possible and made sure my health and the baby’s health was put first my recovery has been great and I owe it all to Dr. Ravins. The best doctor I have ever met! P.S. A C-section is not bad at all.

After a not so great experience with my 1st c-section 14 years ago (to the a day) at a Manhattan hospital, Dr. Ravins made this experience such a great one. From the moment we met before my surgery, he had a calming and fun energy that really put me at ease. I’m so appreciative of his expertise and professionalism.

It was the absolute best experience! I waited at home until my contractions were 4 minutes apart, 1 minute long and lasting for 1 hour, the 4-1-1 rule! This helped me get to the hospital at 6 cm dilated and almost ready to go! Obviously no induction was necessary, I didn’t take the epidural, they broke my water and she was here after I pushed for about 10 minutes! The whole process was less than 2 hours! I’m so thankful to all the doctors and nurses(Jackie was the best) for making my labor seamless!

First of all I want to thank Dr. Ravins who was the one who helped me in my labor, this is my first pregnancy and it was one of the best experiences I ever had, he made me feel very confident and mentally secure, he is a very kind and happy person, another thing that helped me a lot was the decision to get the epidural, in my pregnancy I heard many bad reviews but in my opinion if you want to have a calm and painless labor I highly recommend it because my experience with it was amazing. :)

I am very grateful to Dr. Steven Ravins for a healthy delivery. This was my second birth with him and I am immensely glad that he is my doctor, he is very caring, always positive and it is very easy to work with him. I cant even describe in words how easy it all went. I had two large babies in 2021 and 2023 for 9 pounds but I gave birth myself with his help.I am also very grateful to his team at Mount Sinai Hospital, they are so caring and helped me a lot. I asked the nurse not to leave me during the contractions and she sat with me from the beginning to the end of the birth, giving me her hand. Exceptionally excellent. From the beginning of the pregnancy till the last day of the when the baby was delivered. I made a decision not to give birth again, but the way Raveco Medical staff treated me, it was amazing, and I feel like given birth again. I had both my babies with Raveco Medical and I cannot praise them enough! From the first appointment until after you give birth you feel cared for and have all your medical needs/wants met. I usually see Dr. Olkowski who is amazing and I just had my second baby with Dr. Ravins in the hospital and it went better than I ever could’ve imagined. My doctor was amazing he repaired my hernia in my abdomen from previous c sections. Took the extra skin off and was sooo super kind to me. Treated me like a star. This was my second child but it was my first delivery vaginally Dr.Ravins was so encouraging and engaging. I was completely lost about what I was supposed to do but he took charge and told me exactly what to I needed to do, what was expected, and what was happening. He kept my husband and I constantly informed and showed me the way to breath when pushing. I love that I got an epidural without it I would not have been able to focus on myself and my child because of the pain. So many people told me not to get the epidural but it all comes down to what you want and how much pain tolerance you can endure. For myself I made it an experience for my baby and me instead of an experience about the pain I felt. There is nothing I would do differently and am so thankful for having Dr. Ravins as my doctor.

The most amazing experience I could have ever imagined. Dr. Ravins is such an amazing doctor and the team that thoughtfully cared for me and my pregnancy (Nicole, forest hills office, and MS- South Nassau). As always, pregnancy always has its unexpected outcomes and scary moments. I had to have an emergency c-section after trying to have a vaginal delivery for 39hours and the whole process I was supported by the entire medical team at South Nassau including Dr. Ravins and they gave me all the comfort I could ask for and kept me calm. Such an amazing place to go not only for your regular GYN visits but for your prenatal care as well! The entire team is amazing! Claudia, Steven and Edward! Wow, thank you guys for taking care of me and making sure I was safe in my pregnancy. I had to deliver 3 weeks earlier due to complication and I went to Mount Sinai South Nassau (That’s the hospital they’re affiliated for delivery) and doctor Steven’s and Edward made sure I was taken care of by staff. Doctor Edward built a great relationship with my husband throughout our visits and being in the delivery with him made us feel safe. We welcomed our 7lb 8oz baby boy with music and joy. Thank you for everything! Will continue to do all my visits with them and I highly recommend!

We got the best experience all through out my pregnancy. They helped me since day 1 especially as its my first one. They educated me well. I was induced and had epidural but still have a positive birthing experience. 💯

The doctor is a very good person and is very professional, he does a great job. My labor was with a cesarean section but first it was tried to be done naturally but since it was not possible the doctor returned after his shift, just to do the cesarean section and I feel very grateful to him.

My experience was great dr ravins & his team were all very supportive & made me feel very comfortable. Getting the epidural made me nervous but the anesthesiologist was great as well. I recommend 100% nurses were very attentive to me & my baby which I loved.

The labor with my 3rd baby was the hardest, most challenging I’ve ever experienced. The baby’s heart beat dropped with every contraction & I had to be repositioned every 20 or so minutes. At one point, I was positioned on all 4’s for almost an hour!! No one thought I’d be able to deliver vaginally because the baby was my biggest yet. Talks of a C-section were swirling but I was determined to avoid that at all cost as my preference was a vaginal birth. Dr. Ravins & his team were the best! They helped me so much through my labor & delivery process. I was able to deliver vaginally & I couldn’t have done it without their support! My husband and I are beyond grateful to have welcomed our 1st son with the help of Dr. Ravins!Troy Alexander1/13/248lbs 22.5 inches

The facility is one of a kind! Special thanks to my OBGYN Dr. Nicole B she is absolutely amazing and understanding! She has a wonderful personality and great work ethics! She answers and assists with any concerns or questions I have!! Raveco has to be one of the best Obgyn with a fantastic labor and delivery team on standby for when you’re ready to have your baby! My experience was beyond amazing and recovery is just as amazing as well! I came in to have an induction per Dr. Ravins advice and things couldn’t have been smoother! He walked me thru the process step by step when it was time to have my baby girl and had a great anesthesiologist on standby for when I was uncomfortable from being in pain. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience when it came to having my first baby & I will definitely be delivering with them again in the future!

Best experience I ever had was my scheduled c section with Dr. Steven Ravins, I am extremely happy because my labor experience was the best due to my first baby was traumatic but dr ravins and nurses where the best, I was always calm due to the confidence I was getting from DR and all staff, let me tell you that anesthesiologist was also the best very good at his job I did not feel a thing, I love how recovery is going and my scar is looking great. 🥰🥰🥰🥰Thank you Dr.Ravins for doing such an excellent job with me and many other women. 🫶🏻🙏🏻❤️

This is a place where 10x out of 10 I recommend, even if I was to live in a different state. They way you are cared for, the attentiveness it’s phenomenal. Steven Ravins my favorite but all the other doctors are amazing as well. I went to the hospital with 4cm and got dilated. The nurses I had I wouldn’t replace them for anyone else. I was in labor for 8 hours and pushed my baby out in 13mins thanks to their support and guidance. Definitely a place to give a try and be a patient in.

My 3rd c section was difficult as I had post surgical bleeding but Dr. Ravins and his team took appropriate action immediately. I knew I was in the best hands. About two weeks ago I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy via unplanned C-section. Dr. Ravins and his team did everything they could to pursue a natural birth; however, my husband and I decided to have our baby delivered via a C-section for personal reasons.Dr. Ravins was very professional, knowledgeable, supportive, and explained all aspects of the delivery process as they progressed, which comforted my husband and I. I was terrified to have a C Section. My major concern was the pain and the appearance of the scar after surgery. Dr. Steven Ravins is simply heaven sent, so kind and a phenomenal doctor, his expertise and attention to detail is amazing. Made the whole experience amazingly easy and less terrifying. I had such an amazing experience delivering with dr Ravins! I got electively induced which usually takes hours sometimes days but I ended up having a 5 hour delivery. Upon going I was extremely weary of getting a epidural but I did opt for getting one and had no complications whatsoever! I highly recommend delivering with dr Ravins & this facility as a whole, the nurses and staff take great care of you before & after delivery! They are very passionate about their work and truly take care of you from the beginning of the pregnancy to the end and keep making sure everything is good weeks after delivery. I had 2 c-sections with them and the care they gave me is difficult to describe with words. Doctor Ravens is an amazing human being and all the staff in the office are very sweet and treat you very well. Doctor Ravens did an excellent job with my scar and looks very natural. I am not able to find my previously written review so reposting. You will see great reviews for them and thats why I ended up here as well. However the truth is that the doctors here dont give a damn about your life and are often medically negligent. They miss medical reports, charge for services that were not performed and are always 1-2 hours late to their appointments. If you are late by 5 mins, the doctor will call you and give you a hard time but patients get treated like cattle in a slaughterhouse. I still have not received responses to my request and had to report fraud. Avoid and avoid! You will find 1-2 staff members who are kind but risking your life for such medical negligence is not worth it.

Thank you so much to the entire team at Raveco Medical who made my entire pregnancy go by so smooth. I saw Dr. Olkowski for a majority of my appointments and he made me feel so at ease every appointment. I had an extremely fast birth my first pregnancy and took the advice of Dr. Olkowski and Dr. Shapiro to be induced this time to avoid a very high possibility of giving birth in the car. Dr. Ravins delivered my baby and I couldn’t have asked for a better labor and delivery experience. I was extremely nervous to get an epidural but decided to take his advice of getting it and had the most amazing pain free delivery (p.s. getting the epidural did not hurt at all). This is my 2nd Pregnancy with Raveco Medical. As always my OB care was amazing! Thank you to Dr. Steven Ravens and Dr. Okawski for taking such good care of me, for always listening to me and standing by me. To the south nassau labor and delivery! I had an absolute amazing team behind me during my labor ! The anesthesiologist, hands down felt no pain!! For the nurses and residential team, for being so attentive and caring. The MFM in Rockville, just an overall amazing experience!

Although my labor and delivery was not at all what I expected I must say Dr. Shapiro from Raveco Medical was outstanding every step of the way! My birthing plan was to have a vaginal birth and for a while that was the case until the unexpected happened. Midway through my vaginal delivery my baby’s heart rate was above normal and I developed a fever. Dr. Shapiro acted promptly by telling me that my baby’s life was in danger and advised that a c-section was the only safest option. Although I was extremely disappointed in the news I knew I had to do what was best for the baby. As soon as I went to the OR, Dr. Shapiro was a lioness and immediately performed my c-section. My baby came out crying and perfectly healthy. Ladies I share this story to tell you all to throw away your birthing plan and be open minded because anything can happen during labor and delivery process. I’m so glad I had Dr. Shapiro and the rest of the team at Raveco Medical by my side throughout my pregnancy journey.

I had an excellent birthing experience with dr ravens group at south Nassau. I don’t know how I would have done it without the epidural. It was The best thing ever and I barely felt anything and after 20 minutes of pushing my baby was born.

Had an amazing normal delivery with Dr Ravins and his team. Only labored for between 1-2 hours with contractions and had a great epidural where I could barely feel the pain except for the contractions closer to pushing time. Such a positive birth experience with the best team ever.

I don’t even know how to start this review, Im so grateful to have Dr Irada Shapiro and Dr Steven Ravins in my life 🥹I’ve been coming to this office since 2016 to do my OBGYN regular check ups with Dr Shapiro.I had my IUD removed after 8 years of having it back in 2020 because my husband and I were looking for a baby and finally on January of this year I was able to get pregnant again of my third child.Everything was okay until my 32 week when I had to call Dr Shapiro because I had fever, was vomiting and had a real bad pelvic pain going towards my back right side. Right away she asked me to go to the hospital (Mount Sinai South Nassau)As soon as I got to the hospital my journey started 😭 they couldnt do a CT Scan or Xray because of the baby so they did an MRI with no contrast and they find out I had gold stones and kidney stones. I CAN NOT EXPLAIN THIS HORRIBLE PAIN I HAD 😩 worst than a contraction.Long story short, Dr Ravins got involved and started to do everything on his end so this pain could go away. They spoke to Urologist Dr Herman and OBGYN Dr El Kady from the Hospital and made a decision to place a stent to help the stones pass. Surgery was done the best way possible to protect the baby.Unfortunately after surgery the stent did not help the stones to come out but my pain got a bit better. I was taking strong medicine for the pain until they decided to induced me on week 37 when the baby was more developed and less risk to have him in NICU.My baby boy was born Friday Sep 8th, Dr Shapiro was able to deliver my baby as she promised and she did such a great job 🥰 I love her so much 💙Today Sep 11th I had surgery again and had the stent and the stones removed 🙏🏼 everything went well and now that Im back in the room I look at my baby and I just cant believe this pain is gone and my baby is healthy after all that medicine (narcotics) for the pain. He’s staying in the hospital for 5 days just to make sure he doesnt develop withdraw syndrome but Im staying here with him even tho I can go home tomorrow but they are so kind and let me stay here with the baby until Wednesday.Dr Steven was so good to me, always on top of everything, making sure things were getting done. He just came by (8:45pm) as happy as I am right now, couldnt believe I was done with that horrible pain and have my baby boy in my arms. He such a good Doctor 👏🏼To my Dr Shapiro I have no words to THANK YOU ENOUGH for what you did with me in this pregnancy and towards the end of it. Not only in my pregnancy but also all these years. I had a great experience this this dr. After having my 2nd baby almost 12 yrs later. He did an excellent job on my 2nd c section. He was so nice, made me feel so comfortable. My heart fills with happiness and gratitude as I write this piece on behalf of my husband and myself! I came to Raveco medical after a very bad experience with another practitioner in NYC! My husband and I, 39 and 38 respectively, wanted to start a family! Drs. Shapiro, Olkowski (O) and Ravins made sure we received the best care! Not only did I get pregnant immediately, despite my PCOS, being high risk due to advanced maternal age, being anemic and with Gestational diabetes, I was able to have the best and healthiest pregnancy experience and outcomes thanks to the thorough medical care and advice from the team! Not only did I not put on excessive weight, my baby was born healthy and here we both are with no complications! We are eternally grateful to the team for their warmth, compassion, high standards, excellent advice , dedication and commitment to women’s health and safety! I never imagined that having twins would be such a rewarding experience out of the ordinary that everyone expects, a lot of stress, two babies, double responsibilities. We loved the treatment towards us from day one by Dr Steven Ravins, he is extremely special and a very good professional, he totally dedicated himself to making our experience as rewarding and easy as possible. I had an amazing birth experience with this hospital it was my first baby and I wasn’t really educated on my birth plan or on epidurals anything like that with my obgyn but they were a lovely staff and answered all my questions I had. I came in not wanting an epidural due to all the horrible stories I was told they educated me on them told me it was up to me if I wanted the epidural later on or not didn’t feel pressured but NOT all births are the same I took my time to decide to take the epidural and once I took it it was a relief Don’t let anyone scare you with birth stories NOT everyone’s is the same! I loved every thing about my birth experience here I won’t change a thing!

Hey guys, so im 51 everything went so well throughout my pregnancy, even though i must admit I was scared to have gotten a c-section because they had told me I would need a c-section due to the fact my baby was 9 pounds & im very tiny, but luckily I was able to push out my baby boy naturally & had a vaginal birth along with an epidural which was by far the best choice I ever made! Because it relived my pain a lot & I was able to relax & rest for a bit, with the help of one of the best doctors here along with his team made me half a safe smooth beautiful delivery !!!!

I gave birth & delivered on Tuesday with Dr.Ravens. This happened to be my 3rd c section and I must say, this was the best birthing experience I have had. Dr.Ravens was so warm, personable and put me at ease. I had previous scar tissue and keloiding on my prior incision. When I tell you this man made it his mission to turn my old scar into a work of art! I am so pleased with everything and my only regret is that I wish I would have all my deliveries done with him!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ravens. I had a planned scheduled c-section due to my baby being breach. He walked me through step by step everything that was going to happen and has ensured my comfort ever since. He included my husband every step of the way and made sure to explain everything to him in addition to me (very helpful when there are so many emotions!). The quality of care was outstanding- and I will be switching to his office permanently (originally part of a group that uses him as a delivering doctor only). The care, quality of work and professionalism are 5/5.

I had an amazing experience at the labor and delivery. The team made me felt super comfortable from the moment I stepped in, I checked in around 3:30/4pm with 6cm dilated but my water hasnt broken yet therefore it was a lot of pressure and painful contractions. I didnt want to get the epidural this time around as I had a bad experience the first time at a different hospital. (Yes, this is my second pregnancy, my first was during COVID so everything was handled differently) After Dr.Ravins found out i wasnt getting the epidural, his team went ahead and helped me manually pop my water to help quicken the progress so I wont be in so pain longer waiting for it to pop on its own, which I have say.. it definitely did the trick because within mins ... it all started happening, baby girl was ready to make her entrance. Everything happened so quickly I barely had any time to think of anything else but to PUSH. Im glad I had this amazing team to help guide us through it all, Were both healthy and in recovery.Even their maternity recovery team ( nurses, aids ) are super helpful and patience and detailed.Definitely recommend this hospital for all new moms!

Excellent experience, from the moment I was induced until the time I was wheeled out of the hospital. The team was amazing, answered every question, was informative and compassionate throughout the entire labor and delivery. Epidural was amazing I was hesitant at first and was so pleased with how it worked out, would highly recommend going over the options.

I was scheduled to be induced and really wanted to have a natural birth. Dr. Ravins and his team assured me that they would do their best to achieve that goal for me. I’ve had two surgeries due to breast cancer in the past 12 months and really wanted to avoid a third. Even when things were not necessarily going as a planned during delivery, Dr. Ravins and his team kept my interests and more importantly my health at the forefront. I would love to give a special thanks to Dr. ravins and his staff for being there for me from the beginning to the end of my pregnancy, and making sure that my health is good but later on towards the end of my pregnancy ive been having complications like high blood pressure and mild preeclampsia since i had it in the past so once they found about that they were concern and on top of my health every step of the way especially when early this November my baby wanted to come out early that they try their best to stop the contractions which they did so the baby can stay little longer until 37 weeks which it happened. Once i reach 37 weeks i had a c section and everything went well until i had complications afterwards out of the blue and it was a very scary situation but raveco medical team and hospital were quickly on top of everything and making sure that i will be ok and thank goodness they did. I am still recovering but i feel so confident, comfortable and definitely recommend going to their clinic. Again thank you thabk yiu from the bottom ofyHeart for having such a great experience.

This was my first pregnancy and Dr. Ravens and the nurses were great and made me feel very comfortable for my Labor & Delivery experience! I was very hesitant about getting the epidural but in the end it made my delivery soo much easier & I didnt even feel a thing! Will definitely be coming back here for baby number 2 !

I can’t be more grateful with doctor Steven Ravins and his team on how the procedure was done!! from start to finish every step was explained and the surgery was done with plenty of care for me and my baby. I got an epidural everything went great. Honestly the epidural is the best thing to get. I would not of made it through labor without it!There’s nothing but great doctors here and i am happy beyond expectation to have my baby boy here

My experience with Dr Steve Ravins was beyond amazing. He help me deliver a full term baby (38weeks) after experiencing two pre term pregnancies . It wasn’t easy!!! I was 5cm dilated for about 2weeks. Hospital sent me home twice because I was not dilating. But Dr Ravins made sure to see me every other day anytime I call the emergency line someone was there to answer the phone until it was finally go time. I was so scared I was going to need a c section since the baby was so big. But him and his team guided me through the whole process. I delivered my baby boy at 6lb 11oz vaginally, as comfortable as possible. Word can not describe how grateful I am for him and his team!!!

I had a repeat c-section with Dr. Ravins at South Nassau and I couldn’t have been more happier. My first experience which was done at another facility was not so great so I was traumatized this time going in. In my first experience, I needed blood transfusions and the recovery was terrible. Dr. Ravins was nothing but warm and welcoming, explaining everything along the way. He takes his time but the outcome is well worth it. I couldn’t have had a better experience. No issues, no transfusions this time. Thank you Dr. Ravins!!

Had two wonderful birth experiences with Dr Ravins. He delivered my son in 2020 (emergency C-section) and my daughter today (planned C-section). Both were very different experiences, but him his team made both births stories beautiful. We are very blessed with our healthy Daughter and Son and cannot thank Dr Ravins and his team enough! Dr Ravins went up and beyond for me and is a perfectionist on his incisions and care which makes him one of the best drs. I highly recommend him for your child’s birth journey. You will be in the best of hands literally.

I gave birth on September 12, 2023. I switched my OB-GYN to Dr. Ravins starting 3 months into my pregnancy.  Dr. Ravins’ interpersonal skills, empathy, compassion, knowledge, and professionalism put me at ease from the very first prenatal visit.  During labor, his ability to collaborate with his team (anesthesiologist, residents, and nurses) gave me confidence in everyone who was participating in my labor and delivery, even when he was not in the room. Everyone was pleasant and helpful, especially the amazing nurses. It is also important to highlight that after the delivery, I was given a private room at no extra charge – privacy, peace, and quiet are essential for bonding with a newborn during the first hours/days of recovery. THANK YOU Dr. RAVINS! We could not have dreamt of a better birthing experience!

Being that this was my first time giving birth. The experience was amazing. The Staff were so attentive and caring. They made it so much more easier for me! Dr. Ravins is the most coolest, caring and easygoing doctor out there!!

Extremely thankful for Dr. Ravins and the team that delivered my baby! Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ravins, cannot recommend him enough to other soon-to-be moms! His bedside manner is impeccable; he’s kind, funny, patient and stays calm in stressful situations. Although I was flexible and willing to do anything to get my baby safely out, Dr. Ravins knew I had preferences regarding my delivery, and did the maximum he could to honor all of them.Again, highly recommend Dr. Ravins for a safe patient-centered delivery!

Got my second c-section done by Dr. Raven and it was a completely different and amazing experience. He has such a welcoming and friendly personality, I felt so much more confident going in for the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Ravens.

My care at Mount Sinai south Nassau was amazing. Upon achieving 4cm dilation, the paid was unbearable; I then opted for an epidural and it was one of the best decisions of my life. Although the sharpness of the pain was filled and I could still feel the pressure, I was able to complete my delivery with more focus. I def recommend women get an epidural and in an early enough stage that it could take effect. Many special thanks to the maternity and birthing team at Mount Sinai south Nassau!

Amazing experience delivering with Dr. Ravins. He was very attentive all throughout my induction experience. Compared to all my pregnancies, this delivery was the MOST CALM and PEACEFUL DELIVERY I EVER HAD.Also worth mentioning is NP Nicole, she’s very informative, helpful and she made me feel comfortable during my ob visits specially on my 3rd trimester where everything is just uncomfortable.Just two things to improve, the waiting time in the office (i waited for 2 hrs once and their normal waiting time is 1 hr) and getting a hold of someone thru the phone.

I loved working with Dr.Ravins and Dr.Olkowski. I was a bit nervous at first because I last told my baby was underweight and Dr. Ravins suggested me being induced at 38 1/2 weeks. I am so glad I trusted him and went with his guidance. My delivery couldn’t have been smoother. I was able to deliver naturally. My postpartum recovery has also been amazing. I highly recommend him and his team.

What to say about this amazing group of doctors? Labor initially was off to a rocky start 24 hours prior I was sent home because my body wasn’t ready. Came back into the hospital 26 hours later and was considered entering into active labor. After receiving my epidural it was a matter of 4 hours. 3 to finish dilating and the last hour of pushing and I met my amazing baby! The doctors coached me on when to push and encouraged me every step of the way, I truly believe the teamwork and the dynamic they created made my labor a swift and successful one!

My experience was beautiful. The doctors are wonderful people, my baby was born by C section with Dr. Olkowski and he is a wonderful person!! They made my entire process easier. the attention in the hospital was excellent . thank you!!

My experience was Beautiful.. I was schedule for a C-section I got scared because it my second one the first one was Scary so I wanted to tried to push, but end up doing the C-section that I was scheduled for with DR.Raveco was so patient with me he try everything so I could have push my son it just was not going as planned after 13 hours of trying everything I had to do the C-section I was scheduled and it was a beautiful Experience with Dr. Raveco and his team.. My experience with Raveco medical was great. I wanted to have a vaginal delivery and they were able to make it happen even with how big baby was 9 pounds and 7 ounces.

Dr.Ravins was truly amazing! He helped deliver my baby boy today and he was my second and let me tell you this was the most pain free delivery I had. He took the time to explain to you how you should be pushing which helped me deliver my baby in under 40 mins! You can tell he really cares about his patients and is passionate about what he does.

My experience with Dr.Ravins at Mount Sinai South Nassau has been wonderful. This was my second csection and compared to my first it does not compare. The nurses and Anesthesiologist were wonderful. They made me feel at ease each step of the way. They explained what was gonna happen so no surprise at any moment. I was able to have that skin to skin time with my daughter that did not feel rushed and once she was born she was always at my side. I will definitely recommend this hospital and Dr. who took care of me and my daughter as the best experience to have a baby.

Cannot thank Dr. Ravins enough he was absolutely wonderful! This was my first child and everything came out as best as it can. My initial thought had been to have this baby without an epidural, but I was not opposed to it. I opted to get the epidural midway through labor and I definitely feel it made a difference. Since I was able to get some sleep and rest before the push! Dr. Ravins was highly recommended to me by friends and I can say he did not disappoint! He helped me get through this wonderful experience in the best manner possible.

I just gave birth the other day with Dr. Ravins and it was one of the most easiest, least painful birth experiences I’ve had. He took extra care of me and made sure I was comfortable and informed of every move he was making just in case I was unprepared. There were conditions in my pregnancy outside of my control, a complete placenta previa. I had to undergo a c section as bad as I would have loved to give a natural vaginal home birth that quickly was not an option on the table for me as far as I know currently. I had to come to terms with my situation and focus on getting my son here safely. I appreciate Doctor David who initiated my epidural he was well versed and swift in his part in my c section along with the entire Mount Sinai staff! Thank you for everything!

Went for induction labour. Dr Ravins is our delivery doctor. On the morning of Aug 28th went to the hospital, water bag was broken at 3am on Aug 29th, around 5am contractions started, trying all my best to push baby out all the way till 10am with no epidural But baby is sunny side up, Dr Ravins and his team really worked hard to help me through this process because I really wanted a normal delivery instead of C sec but to have a healthy baby after pushing for 5 hours, me and my husband decided to go for c sec, the process is really calm, Dr Ravins and his team are so professional! My stitches are now dried and my husband say it was done beautifully. This is our first baby and we are going home tomorrow! Thank you Dr Ravins and the whole team! I really appreciate all the encouragement and effort the team helped us through. Thank you all once again!

Dr ravins is the best! I decided to have an elective c section and I have ZERO regrets in my decision. It’s a big procedure and not one to take lightly , I am a petite woman 5’1 with a very small frame- and my baby was measuring on the bigger side and by 40 weeks he was estimated at 8 pounds. When I had shown no signs of labor after my due date I decided to let my obgyn know that I would prefer to have a c section over an induction at 41 weeks - I had a previous pregnancy where I was induced due to my baby being growth restricted ( opposite to this one ) and was in labor for over 40 hours and had trouble pushing her out despite her only being 5 pounds 14 oz. A c section is a big surgery and not one to have for the sake of it and I don’t recommend it unless there was a legitimate medical reason , but instinct told me that a c section was vital in this case , but as baby weight is often at an estimate one of the staff member freaked about me having the surgery that the baby would not be that big for me and it wouldn’t be necessary. I’m no dr but I knew it would’ve been harder than Thank goodness I listened to my instinct because I had almost a 9 pound baby ! And my experience was great as dr ravens is experienced and skilled did an amazing job and my scar is tiny you wouldn’t even know a baby that big came out of it. I want to thank Dr ravens and his staff in the delivery room for their amazing job- and for supporting my decision and giving me the best medical advice for me to make an informed decision! Highly recommend!!

This is my second time having Dr Ravins as my ObGyn for my second child. I got pregnant 1 year after my first baby that had to have delivered via c-section due to failure to progress. Dr. Ravins was amazing and took care of me the entire gestation during both pregnancies. My second pregnancy I had decided to have a c-section. The experience of being scheduled to be at the hospital at a certain date and time put me at ease knowing that I had a time line. I went to the hospital and even had the time to do my hair and make up. I was admitted and treated with the upmost respect and care. Once in the OR things moved so professionally and quickly, I was even given the option to listen to the music I wanted to keep me relaxed. I of course chose something that usually keeps me upbeat and happy (badbunny) the surgery was fast and right before my baby was about to be born the partition came down and my husband and I were able to see our baby boy being born. This was such a magical moment seeing my baby boy come out for the first time. My husband was allowed to cut the umbilical cord and was immediately given our son to take pictures and hold him. These little things meant so much to us. Dr Ravins has been an excellent doctor and supporter

If I could rate Raveco Medical 10 stars, I would. Dr. Olkowski was my primary OBGYN throughout my pregnancy. He is so compassionate, understanding, and caring! I can tell he actually cares about me and my health and provides me with answers in a very timely manner. I have been seen by Dr. Steven Ravens as well and he is equally as compassionate and caring! I’m so grateful I found Raveco Medical and chose them for my delivery. It was the best decision I made and I would highly recommend friends and family.

Had an amazing birthing experience with Dr Ravins and his team. He just knew what my body could take and went with the flow with so much positive energy! Everything he said at that moment made him so trustworthy that I was pushing while looking at him and not the mirror or other resources provided to me; a Hero he is! Just focusing on his directions, I pushed out my baby in less than 30 mins with minimal tearing; the laceration is done perfectly which isnt noticeable at all! He checked on me at the postpartum unit as well. Simply AMAZING

I came in a 8am on Saturday 2/25/23 for my induction of my first child.. Dr. Ravins tried everything he could for a natural birth. After 24 hours I was stuck at 6cm and decided to go forward with a c-section as the best option. Dr. Ravins assured me everything would run smoothly and he was right. I had a successful c-section. I have a very low, clean incision that’s barely visible. I am so happy with how I was taken care of and I am recovering great. I welcomed a healthy baby boy with the help of Dr.Ravins and his team. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I truly enjoy coming to this office. I’ve been coming here for about 10 years now and they’ve never been anything short of amazing. The receptionists are very friendly and Dr Claudia Ravins always takes her time with me and tells me exactly how it is. She doesn’t sugar coat but she also praises me when I do it the right way. I started as a teen and will continue coming here for all my gynecologist needs.

Worst experience. An appointment for 11:30 AM to be attended at 1:30 PM meanwhile other patience who came in after, were being attended as soon as they checked in. The doctors in here are unprofessional and very unwilling to help. Highly recommend to go to another place and not waste your time here. Very horrible experience from the doctors and unprofessional. Best believe this will be taken to the OPMC.

I had such an excellent experience with my first baby. Dr. Steve Ravins, and all the nurses took very well care of me, gave me constant support. Im so thankful with all them. My labor was pain free no doubt about taking epidural again.

I wanted to share my story since it would bring hope to other ladies who are going through or will go through this hurdle in their pregnancy . At around 17 weeks in my pregnancy I was diagnosed with short cervix and was left shattered thinking about the future of my pregnancy but thankfully I had gone through a procedure called cerclage which is basically a cervical stitch to close the cervix manually and this was done by Dr Ravins . I didn’t know how long would it carry my baby but all thanks to Dr Ravins I was able to carry my baby till 38 weeks before I opted for panned C section and Dr Ravins delivered my baby . My C section recovery was also smooth and again thanks to him for operating me so well that my incision healed as quick as it can . So ladies don’t loose hope if you are facing similar situation . A good doctor can take your pregnancy as far as it can

Dr. Ravins is the absolute best! My fiancé and I were not thrilled once we learned that we were not good candidates for VBA3C. Once speaking to this doctor he not only showed compassion; he made us feel like we were being heard. We ultimately agreed that repeat cesarean would be the safest choice possible for me . Up until the day of surgery my partner and I were still a little upset and very torn but we now know this was the best choice we could have made. The procedure could not have gone any better ! My fear of a repeat cesarean was due to the trauma I experienced with previous doctors. Dr. Ravins took his time to fix me up and he went above and beyond anything I could have ever expected or hoped for . Finding doctors who are truly compassionate about their patients wants and needs is very rare these days .During this process of figuring out which birth plan was right for us … I began to lose faith in the health care system all together but after this experience I now know that amazing doctors still do exist ! I was scheduled to be induced at one of the hospitals Dr. Ravens is affiliated with. Once my induction begin and I started contracting I went extremely rapidly and actually delivered before Dr. Ravens arrived at the hospital however actually meeting him the following day I realized Dr. Ravens is an absolute amazing doctor and is a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him to anyone on any given day. He took care of my baby and I with such care and attention and I look forward to working with him again in the future.

At 37 weeks, I was scheduled for an Induction due to Cholestasis, and to a surprise at my last appointment baby Niko was breech. I was told C-section was the only option and with sadness I accepted my faith. Until Dr. Ravins called me and said he could try a External Cephalic Version, his confidence and undeniable experience was an easy yes for me. On Thursday June 8th , I was scheduled for a version that was successful, the procedure lasted no more than 30 mins with no pain . It was meant to be, my trust in Dr. Ravins and his experience in this technique saved me from a C-Section, I was induced shortly after and delivered a healthy baby boy vaginally with no complications. Faith was the major factor, along with our trust in Dr. Ravins. I am so thankful!
