Viva Eve - Forest Hills

I scheduled an appointment for the first time. Figured I would try them out after seeing ongoing advertisement about how they go above n beyond. I have ongoing health concerns and really wanted to get to the bottom of it. Unfortunately, I did not get to experience the wonderful experience they give to empower women. My appointment was scheduled for 4pm, since I was coming from Brooklyn, I made sure to schedule enough traveling time so that I would be on time with my appointment. Reception was professional. I completed the paperwork required via e-mail, as I thought, and as they suggested, it was to make the process go in a timely manner. Well, my commute was not as bad as I anticipated, and I found parking quickly, so I arrived at there maybe 10 to 15 minutes past 3. I did all the additional check in process, then sat patiently in their waiting area. Around 4:05 p.m., I was called to the exam room where the nurse checked my vitals and gathered information. She was also professional. She informed me that a doctor would be in, as she was going to let them know. She stated to not get undressed (not put on the gown), since Im here to do an annual checkup, the doctor may not need me to undress. I thought to question her because I never had a GYN appointment for an annual paps and the expressed concerns where I did not have to get undressed. Little hard to examine me with my jeans on! I let it go, figured Id see how things go. Well, it didnt go. After waiting in the exam room for 1 hour (after 5pm) I placed my coat on, and on my way out explained to the receptionist that due the long wait, this appointment will have to be rescheduled, which I have no intentions of. She apologized for the wait. Just as their time is valuable, mine is as well. I would have been more understanding if, as a courtesy, they would have let me know they were running behind schedule. This courtesy could have been extended at the time that I checked in, sat in the waiting area, or during the time I sat in the exam room for one hour. I cant help but wonder if they are practicing overbooking, which is unfortunately too common.

I had high expectations and Shan lived up to and exceeded them. I had been on the hunt for a new ON/GYN since the one I had been seeing for 17 years ditched her practice. I tried a couple others but from front desk experience, poor beside manners and logistically issues, it was clear we weren’t aligned. I read the reviews on Shana and insisted I saw her. Arrived 20 mins early for my appointment, took care of paperwork and waited for her. The staff was pleasant, as was she. She went over my social history, other clinicians assisted with intake. She scheduled me for an ultrasound, I had a breast exam and bloodwork to assess my overall health.She was patient, explained and felt loaded intonation for ease of transaction and most importantly value my input and treated me with dignity and respect.Outside of the parking, (super difficult) I have no issues. I will def be back.

First time here and it was a great experience. From the ambiance to the staff, everything was exceptional. The office was clean and well maintained with such cute decor. Dr. Harris was so kind and understanding. She listened to my needs and was attentive at all times, making me feel comfortable. Will be using Viva Eve from now on. Thanks so much!

I have been on a quest to find a permanent practice for some time. My previous experiences were not bad, but I’d always left feeling incomplete and rushed. I came in for my yearly check in to Viva Eve and immediately felt a difference. I expressed a concern and an irregularity in my current health. My concern was taken seriously and all the necessary exploratory work was completed by techs and staff, all the while staying professional, patient and informative. The staff was efficient and transparent; the timeframes and expectations were precise (I value that as it helps me plan travel, work, etc). Calls, reminders and lab results are timely. I feel so fortunate to be in the care of this practice. Creating proper health related routines and maintaining appointments can be a lifesaving/life-prolonging habit - knowing that you will be taken care of in the best way makes maintaining those commitments easier. I am grateful for each individual at Viva Eve for all of their effort; they each play a pivotal role in making this a holistic and productive experience and they are each immaculate professionals. I am always skeptical going finding a GYN. I had a horrible experience in the past where I’m very careful. This has been such a great experience. The place has a very harmonious atmosphere which allows you as a patient to feel comfortable. The staff of unbelievably nice and comforting. It’s been my third time going and can only say positive things about this place.

I can give an update later since this was my first visit. Setting up an appointment online to your desired location is easy and you do get a phone call to confirm your information. The staffs were super friendly and accommodating. Viva Eve team made you feel comfortable and helpful to your concerns. The office is very clean and organized. My medical provider is Shana Thomas.She was fantastic and listened to my history and concerns. Gave me tips and suggestions and no judgement.I guess my only big cons with Viva Eve is probably the wait time which was about 1 hour but the whole experience was about 2 hours. But then again, I did made an appointment the same day when they did call me. Also please be sure about your medical insurance. They do take some insurance but they also stated that Viva Eve is out of network. There is a billing representative there to answer all your needs and explains how the process works step by step.

I’ve had such a wonderful experience with them. Every time I come in for an appointment or speak to a representative over the phone I’m met with grace and kindness. I’ve never felt uncomfortable or out of place when I’m there and the team is able to take care of my needs quickly and safely.I had seen NP Kimberley and she was amazing!

I had an amazing experience with PA Eleni for aesthetic services, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the moment I walked in, Eleni made me feel comfortable, truly listened to what I was looking for, and ensured that I felt heard. Her attention to detail and professional expertise were top-notch. Maren, the aesthetic coordinator, was also present, and her calming presence made my initial nerves fade away. She helped me feel completely relaxed throughout the process. Together, they created an atmosphere of trust and ease, which is so important. I highly recommend both Eleni and Maren—they’re an incredible team!

I really like this place. The staff is friendly and they are very organized. My appointment was at 1 and I was seen promptly and out by 2. Every procedure being done was explained to me and any questions that I had were answered to my satisfaction. Its very clean and the waiting area is nice and spacious. I went yesterday for the first time to Viva Eve and my visit was so wonderful. The office was very clean and the staff /doctors were VERY courteous and friendly. Shana Thomas was a great provider. She was very informative about everything that is going on with my body. I love the fact that she showed me visuals so I can see and understand the situation much better.

Dr Harris has been my doctor for over a year now and I couldnt be happier! The office space is really clean, front desk is always so nice, every single MA, tech are always so lovely. I love Viva Eve I switched to Dr Gohar when I wasn’t happy with the options from a previous provider and he is wonderful!!! I had surgery with the team and they have been great before after and during surgery and my follow-ups! I travel from Long Island to get to their forest hills location that’s how much I love them!

I loved my recent appointment! I had an ultrasound and it was as the most comfortable I have ever been in my life. The tech made me feel very comfortable, I believe her name was Myra. I am happy I found this office.

I could not be more happy with my experience at Viva Eve . I felt like I had the longest pregnancy ever with the constant appoints due to being high risk and it never once felt like a bother. The staff would always work best with me and my schedule always so kind and they would greet me by name every visit. Front desk Pamela is amazing. Dr Thornton delivered my healthy baby and my family will forever be thankful for him. Dr Gohar going above and beyond everytime I saw him. You can’t find any better than here. Viva Eve is amazing. It is the OBGYN experience everyone deserves. Everyone is great it doesn’t matter which provider you see you will always be in good hands. If you are a person that wants a provider that genuinely care about you Viva Eve is the one for you.

This is exactly how healthcare targeted towards women should look like! I am so glad I brought my mother and I here. Weve had horrible experiences at other establishments but this one really popped off.Their friendliness, cleanliness, and quick service is very appealing. As soon as you walk in, the front desk explains everything to you thoroughly. If youre a new client, youll have to sign some papers or fill out a link sent to your mobile number. BTW, they use KlaraIn the waiting area, there are mini water bottles in a mini fridge, the BATHROOM has a bidet, automatically win on their part, and the TV has informative videos on womens health.In terms of service, we were pleased with the attentiveness and genuineness the providers gave us. We were comfortable and so happy that everything was clean.Im seriously recommending this place to all my friends. Id give 6 stars if I could! ❤️

I would highly recommended Viva Eve based on my experience there as a new patient and the level of care I received from Nurse Practitioner, Beth. She was her thorough, listen to all my questions, and explained with clarity. I was pleased with her expertise and professionalism. The staff at reception was very warm and welcoming as well.

At this establishment, I really dont like going to GYN, I always felt uncomfortable but I will keep on coming back year after year, now this is home for me. I felt so comfortable and welcome. This doesn’t feel like an ordinary, doctors office and the experience and service is incredible. The doctors were well informed and very helpful, they answered all my questions and I’m happy to be a patient here. I hope they open my locations in New Jersey!!

My appointment went smoothly as possible except a little long wait but not too bad. All of the staff from reception to providers were knowledgeable, professional, kind and courteous.

Found this practice today n Instagram and went to the forest hills location. I was very pleased with my care and was impressed by how thorough the Nurse and doctor were. I was NOT rushed and felt that every question and concern was answered. I am now a patient for life!

The best gynecologist ,but communication between office and patients is very poor ! Takes a long time for them to answer phones sometimes and you will remain on hold for long periods of time.Some doctors in the clinic are better than others I recommend seeing a women for better treatment.

I initially gave them 5 stars. However, this drastically changed after I realized they billed for inappropriate Gyn labs. Their annual panel includes lipids, blood type & other labs that has nothing to do with Gyn.I was also treated with antibiotics by one of the NP’s that I had a resistance to. This delayed my care. Despite communicating with her constantly & letting her know treatment was not working, she still did not figure it out. I am highly upset & angry at the poor quality of care I received.Do not let the posh decor & “customer service “ fool you.

Waited 2 hours before I gave up & left. Who knows how much longer it would’ve been until I was actually seen. Everyone who came in after me was seen before me. What’s the point of an appointment!? I believe they forgot about me. Horrible management and patient tracking. I live 45 mins away, wasted $100 in cab just to have my time and my day wasted. I should be refunded for wasting my money. Haven’t had such terrible service at a doctors office in years. This is the type of place that will take multiple appointments and cannot realistically make it work. Save your time and go somewhere else.

Please do your own research before making serious decisions where people are in your vagina and diagnosing you with things to do surgery on you for money. I came here to weigh my fibroid options , luckily what they wanted to do wasn’t covered by them so I would have to go somewhere else and bring them back the results. Upon seeing another DR and him reviewing my paperwork I actually didn’t need what VIVA EVE said I did and the procedure that Viva Eve was offering would actually sterilize me being that I never had kids this new DR suggested another procedure that in fact was a much better decision.

Honestly, this was the best experience I’ve had at any doctor’s office. The attention to detail and care given by the staff is comforting and reassuring. Every Viva Eve staff member I came into contact with on my first visit was friendly and thorough. They listened to and answered all of my questions with the upmost care. The providers bedside manner made me feel comfortable and safe. Overall a great experience and I am glad I finally found a provider I can trust.

This was my third visit. First two were great! This one was horrible! I left there with a mixture of emotions (anger, frustration and disappointment). Why would I miss work to come back to this place to do the same tests I did 6 days ago and to hear the same results I heard 6 days ago. Do I have nothing better to do? Made my appointment for today immediately after my 2nd visit, only to be told today that I NEVER made a third appointment, despite me receiving multiple messages from them confirming and reminding me ofsaid oppointment. Utter slackness at this place. You just don’t get to play with people’s schedules like that. Never again!

I always have a great experience when I’m there. They are very transparent and honest.

I think for regular OB/gyn services and fibroids they are good, however they were not able to help me with my severe endometriosis. I saw a doctor and he told me the only way he can help me is through a hysterectomy.If you have serious endometriosis, this will not be the place to go to.

This was my first visit to Viva Eve. The staff was extremely friendly, kind and understanding. Dr Shayna was very professional, helpful and patient. The visit was very thorough. Dr Shayna made me feel heard and confident that her and her team will do their best to help me going forward! The insurance / billing information was reviewed at the end of my visit and was very informative. Definitely glad to have found this place and I absolutely will be recommending this location to friends/ family.

I came in for a poa. I had a 5pm appointment looking for parking I went in at 5:10. It is now 6:15and I asked to cancel the appointment I was leaving. You keep saying 20 mins 10 mins. I left work early for this. I asked after my procedure for the last appointment I was told 5pm was the last appointment. People are still coming in. This is very ridiculous, I do not appreciate bad time management. Not even 1 staff member came out to say he is running behind or give and update. No I did not reschedule.

So far, they have met my expectations. On this visit, Dr. Gohar, who happens to be very personable, put my mind at ease. He explained my latest results and next steps with a very detailed description of my presenting problem and techniques to relieve and/or eliminate symptoms associated with my fibroids and andenomyosis. The facility is always clean and the staff are very friendly.

Horrible follow up to its procedures they call for a post op when they never even did the surgery. They don’t check files or update records and it’s very unprofessional. Too lazy to check levels and cancel surgery because they don’t want to read a lab report then don’t follow up.

I am a new patient at Viva Eve and my first impression was phenomenal. The front desk staff at the Forest Hills location were very friendly, welcoming, and prepared for my visit making check in a breeze. I was greeted by many other staff members as I made my way to my treatment room and was cared for all along the way. My NP was Caciana and she was great. Our examination was thorough and expectations were made clear. The sonogram technician and medical assistants were also very kind, friendly, and made the visit all the more helpful. Would give you all 10 stars if I could!

Strongly recommend this place for anyone seeking a very comprehensive practice that offers most things in house. From the staff, to the ultrasound techs, to the doctors, everyone was very kind, welcoming, and thorough. I saw Dr. Natalie Harris and cannot recommend her enough! She is very compassionate and really took the time to ask all of the questions and make sure I felt confident in my care.

I was very nervous and the staff assured me that everything would be OK. Call me down my MA needs. Eva was very nice and informative.

Dr. Ben Thornton, was very professional and wonderful bedside manner. The team was friendly and welcoming and really helped put me at ease. The office is very clean and inviting. The parking is a little tight in the area but the Doctors’ office has a parking lot about a block away from the office. Overall this was a 5 star 10 out of 10 experience!

I was super impressed and satisfied. After a few months of looking for a new GYN I decided to call and book my appointment. The process was simple and easy, the staff was very helpful over the phone. I was extremely impressed at the hospitality that I was offered during my visit. The office is clean, modern and the staff are very professional and friendly. I was treated like if I was a long time customer. My doctor was very knowledgeable of my needs and gave me great advice as to seeking new birth control treatments. I didn’t feel rushed like I did at my previous GYN. I am very satisfied and will recommend to every female.

I’ve been a patient here for a few years and am so calm going into my ob gyn appointments now. Their staff is so friendly, helpful, and the stylish waiting room is stocked with water bottles and helpful information. I loved all the medical staff I’ve worked with as well and their rooms feel very clean and tech-friendly.

I had gone to Dr Gohar for years. His practice is completely different than when I started going and I don’t trust them with my health anymore . His office is overwhelmed and not prioritizing patient care. I drove an hour to get to my 9:30am appt. They were running an hour behind and the entire waiting room was full of women. They didn’t bother to call and inform me how late they’re running. The last time, they scheduled my appt with a different doctor and didn’t tell me until the day before when they called to confirm. I’m very disappointed with how badly run the office seems to be now, and I’ll be finding a new doctor after today.

Viva Eve is should an amazing place. They care about their clients and any questions that you may have they will answer it. I never felt so comfortable with my GYN until now. I would recommend this place to everyone!

I love it a viva eve!! The ambience is beautiful and clean. They have a refrigerator with self served bottles of water for your convenience The staff are amazingly nice! Lead nurse practitioner Jessica is very knowledgeable and sooo nice. She always answers all of my questions and any concerns that I have, she ensures that I gain knowledge of it. Whether it’s your regular routine GYN appointment or something more such as a fibroid embolism, Viva Eve is definitely your go to.

When I booked it shows that my insurance was in network and accepted.Now I’m being billed around $7,000 for a routine check up and now I’m being told that my insurance was not accepted this place is a scam.

I’ve had several women’s health doctors, all of whom before visiting Viva Eve have disappointed me. The doctors, nurses, and staff at Viva Eve are excellent. They are professional, quick, and good communicators. I’ve never been left wondering or been made to feel like they were too busy to attend to me.

First time visiting this office, and I must say I made the right choice! the office staff was welcoming and made the registration and first time patient paperwork smooth and painless. My entire visit took about an hour so i was very pleased.Eva the medical assistant was polite, and very personable and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Thornton was nothing less than amazing. He was very thorough from beginning to end in explaining the process and what to expect from my visit and let me say he was spot on.My experience was great, and moving forward they will absolutely be my womens healthcare provider and I 100% recommend Viva Eve!

I would’ve loved to give a rating of 5 stars, but that wait time after traveling from Brooklyn was ridiculous. Other than that, the staff was amazing , the environment cleanly, and Dr. Grisham was absolutely fantastic.

Today i got to meet with one of the new NPs, Sydney, who worked alongside Dr.Gohar to handle my annual exams, and she was, as they all are very professional, thorough, and she just had a great aura about her. Every woman should get to experience the type of care this group gives to all of their patients. It should be the norm, not the exception. They have now expanded as well recently with a new state of the art facility in the city, making it possible for a wider net of patients to have greater access to top notch womens health and reproductive care.JoanneReview 1. 2020- VivaEve has been the solution I had been looking for to help resolve my fibroid issue.The doctor performing the UFE was so easy to talk to, i felt like i could ask him any questions and he was forthright and explained every thing that would happen if I decided to move forward with UAE. It was so refreshing finding a team where hysterectomy was not the first option (unless of course it was the right choice for you). Once I had made the decision the team really reached out to communicate and over  communicate the steps you need to take in order to prep yourself for the procedure. Once at the facility for the procedure, it was very clean and even in the current environment (early Covid days) I felt safe.  The nurse really put me at ease because no matter the medical procedure I tend to let my anxiety get the better of me and its hard not to show. The anesthesiologist who I met before at FHM during my d&c is always so gentle and light hearted. The physician is an expert at what he does and I felt great after the procedure. The office followed up with me first several days after the procedure and I am really convinced that unlike some office networks where u get the sense that the business and the dollar is their top priority; with the team at FHM and VivaEve I am convinced patient outcome is their 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th priority and everything else comes after. No matter what you are doing with them you never feel rushed or just another body walking into their office. I would really recommend anyone to them to help deal with their gynecological issues including any problematic fibroids.JHM

Wasn’t to great today. I had an appointment for 8:30 was seen by the nurse practitioner until 8:50 she told me to undress for my year gynecologist exam. I sat there 25 nude and she never came back. I got dress and canceled appointment. That was very unprofessional to have me sitting nude for all that time. No one came in to say there was a problem or anything.

I had an exceptional first visit. A friend recommended Dr. Sophia Drosinos and I was blown away with her warmth, expertise and the practice. Sophia listened to my concerns as a woman in menopause and the multiple symptoms associated with this phase in my life. We came up with a plan and clear next steps. The front desk staff were fantastic and super helpful. If you do not feel heard by your practitioner, this is your place ….run, do not walk.

Rewriting my review. My experience at viva eve was welcoming. The facility was very clean and the customer service was great. The nurse practitioner i had i believe Jessica was sweet and kind, she answered all questions i had as well as breaking down lab results. The only concern i had was not being able to see the doctor often. But overall the experience was pleasant.

I am going to this place for the last 5 years and i never had a complain about anything because viva eve is the best gynecologist office with the best staff and doctors. My daughter was born there. Its far from my location i have to take a train and a bus to reach there but its worth it. I highly recommend, you will never get disappointed by choosing viva eve.

My time with the Dr/Practitioner was nice and easy. I am disappointed that I had to wait so long to see her. Ill try to avoid Saturdays in the future. Waiting over an hour in any day is unacceptable, but on the weekends when you have errands to run is a challenge.

I love going to the Viva Eve on Forest Hills. The nurses and doctors are attentive and really willing to help. Dr.Gohar and Dr. Jessica C are great. I am so happy I found this center to aid with the many fibroids I have. I highly recommend this center for any women who is dealing with fibroids.

Ive been going to Viva Eve since I was 15. Ive gotten lot of help with understanding options for managing PCOS and lots of great explanations from my first doctor Dr. Gohar who made my first GYN experience as a young girl as comfortable as it couldve been. More recent visits Ive also seen Ben Thornton and Jessica who have been great as well. They make sure you uderstand how trestments will help and walk you through their thought while also considering your own. Like any office, the wait depends on time of day for your appointment and the providers can have things come up but the level of care and dedication to making sure every patient feels heard makes up for that. Heck, I drive an hour each way now even though i live further becuase its honestly quality care. The office manager also really made me feel heard when I had a few visits that were not the service I was used to, and youd think an office would leave a generic response and keep it pushing but not Viva Eve. Dr. Gohar and the office manager have made efforts to hear me out and figure ways to address my concern and adjust accordingly because they truly do value their patients.

VivaEve is a wonderful practice. I have never felt more comfortable and confident in the care I was receiving. The doctors and support staff listened to me, and made me feel like I was a part of the team making medical decisions as opposed to a bystander.

I just love this place . Everybody is nice and friendly every time I go to my appointments. It’s all clean and organized. Usually they don’t make me wait long after I get there for my checks . And I like the fact that doctors are not in rush when they come to see you. Very recommend

So far all the practitioners and staff have been great and professional, except for a nurse practitioner by the name of Shana-Kay Thomas. She told me I was making her anxious/uncomfortable because I was emotional during my viability appointment this morning. This is an emotional time for a woman to not know whether your pregnancy is viable yet. She should not be in this field if seeing someone emotional makes her anxious and uncomfortable . Told me “sorry can’t give you a certificate yet saying you’re a confirmed pregnancy”. The way she spoke was extremely unprofessional, inappropriate and frankly made me feel very uncomfortable. I left there feeling even worse and with a lot of questions unanswered. This is not an easy process to go through and I would’ve expected some empathy from the provider. Will make sure all my future appointments are not with Ms. Shana-Kay Thomas.

My wife had an appointment today that got canceled due to the doctor having to attend a c-section. This is totally understandable and something I have no issue with. What I do have an issue with is the rude and snobby attitude I was met with when I called to reschedule. I assumed that since this was canceled last minute, the office would try their best to squeeze us in for an appointment. Nope. The next appt was three weeks later, mind you, we had to two weeks for todays appt anyway. When I voiced this concern, the receptionist said “well we are an obgyn clinic and doctors have to go to deliveries, this is what we do” in the most nastiest snobbiest tone. This lecture was unnecessary given it’s not something I had issue with at all. The lack of understanding and etiquette speaks volumes. Also, stop pushing people to go to NPs. If I said my preference is to see a MD then that should be it. Don’t make me explain why I prefer an MD over NP. I shouldn’t have to detail why that’s my preference. If the first point of contact to a medical office is like this, I wonder how the actual care is. I won’t be recommending this place to anyone.

I wanted to revise my review..although they were professional and nice, I did not appreciate that their billing department called me the very next day to tell me my insurance plan is out of network & not tell me this when I asked them prior to my appointment. Very disappointing.

Excellent experience displayed an interest in my overall health. It was not just an annual exam.

Their billing department is passive aggressive about what insurance they take and in or out-of network services. They did not explain the insurance policy and billing process before or at the the service as no one onsite understands insurance and made it the patient’s problem to figure it out much later with a really bad attitude. The service in the clinic itself was nice, but with this kind of insurance process I don’t know how anyone can work with them without coming to a surprising bill or think being taken advantage of completely. I do NOT recommend.

I recently visited Viva Eve and wanted to share my thoughts on the overall experience. While there were aspects I liked, I found some challenges that left me uncertain about continuing my visits.Firstly, I must express that I generally liked the atmosphere and facilities at Viva Eve. The ambiance was pleasant, and the overall environment seemed conducive to medical care.However, my main concern, which led me to give a 3-star rating, revolves around the communication among the staff. During my appointments, I encountered different doctors and nurses each time, and it felt like they were not familiar with my medical history, despite my providing the information earlier. This lack of continuity made me uneasy, as I constantly felt the need to reiterate my medical background.One incident that particularly bothered me was when a doctor mentioned that both myself and my baby were okay today. This statement left me with a sense of uncertainty and concern. It made me wonder if there was information or concerns about tomorrow that I wasnt aware of. A consistent and transparent communication style would have eased my worries.In my opinion, having a single healthcare professional consistently taking care of a patient fosters a better understanding of the individuals medical history and needs. This personalized approach was lacking in my experience at Viva Eve.As a result, I am currently undecided about whether to continue seeking care at Viva Eve or explore other options that may provide a more personalized and consistent healthcare experience.In conclusion, while Viva Eve has its merits, the issue of communication and the lack of a consistent healthcare provider have left me uncertain about the future of my visits. I left a review before but it was taken down. After reading the glowing reviews I thought my experience here would be good but it wasn’t. I won’t go into detail but I thought the doctors lacked bedside manner and empathy. I ended going to another place and was much better off. They even arranged a car service for me. It’s your decision what to do with your body but I highly caution women to shop around before falling for the glowing reviews.

Ive never been so comfortable. The office is clean and sleek. In addition, the staff is so friendly. I didnt feel like I was just a number. They took the time to help me to understand the information that I needed. Its my go to place now. I have no problem taking that 1hr drive.

The service at Viva Eve is exceptional! The front desk staff are professional and friendly. Stephanie was welcoming, and kind while assisting my sister-in-law and I as it was our first time in the office. After a short wait, we were then seen by NP T, who pleasantly answered all of our questions and had a genuine and caring approach. We left feeling at ease knowing we had a medical plan and a great medical team of care. This was extremely important because my sister-in-law is an international patient.The office is also very clean and well maintained.

Friendly front desk, clean bathroom- I have nothing to complain about lol! As a heads up, they’ll need a urine sample before you begin your appointment.For all my PCOS girlies, Dr. Dumba is very knowledgeable on PCOS/ hormonal imbalances, metabolic syndrome etc. As a woman of color I have struggled with finding a professional that truly understands my experience with PCOS and I felt seen, heard and understood in her office! She gave me such great advice and she was such an empathetic listener. This is as literally an answered prayer.

I have been a patient for over 10 years and always felt satisfied after my visits. Unfortunately I can’t say it for this visit. Typically I have been in a lot of discomfort and feeling disorientated, due to the start of menopause. I explained to the doctor which he immediately said he’s going to help.After examination he saiid nothing! I asked him was I ok and how was the blood work, he Said it was ok and that he was going to refer me to another doctor in Manhattan that specializes in Menapause. I then ask can he at least prescribe some medication for the time being, which I felt he should of did once the examination and results were completed, Nevertheless I have to follow up with another GYN who is located in Manhattan whereas it is very inconvenient for me to travel. I also asked the staff can I have a phone or facetime conversation with the doctor to discuss my menapause symptoms, which they don’t do as explained from the office staff. I’m not happy or satisfied and plan to search for another doctor

Every person I have come in contact with, whether when going to my daughters appointments or my own, have been so incredibly nice, courteous and respectful. I truly am glad that my daughter and I are happy and comfortable at Viva Eve. I definitely recommend them.

This was my first time at Viva-Eve and it was great. Their customer service is impeccable. The facility/office is clean. There is a relaxed atmosphere and they answered every question. The reason I am giving two stars is not so much for their service, which in fact is pretty neat. I’m giving two stars because their billing policy is not “friendly”. You are not informed of service costs prior to a visit. They are an out of network service company. They state that costs not covered by your insurance will be made known to you as a patient prior to your service. You are made to read and sign billing policies concerning this. The Viva Eve department claimed that any costs incurred by you not mentioned prior to a visit are consumed by Viva Eve. However in 2023, I went for an appointment, and not one cost was mentioned. A few months down the line they billed my insurance a couple of separate claims that totaled thousands of dollars incurred for that one visit (regular check and lab work). I had a FSA through my employer. I found out that my FSA was wiped out clean because VIVA EVE billed my insurance company thousands and I mean thousands of dollars for out of network costs. Please be aware of this if you have a FSA or other health related spending account. If I didn’t have the FSA, that money would not have been taken from me otherwise. In other words billing can be a gamble with this place, as the costs are not made known to you prior to your service which was what happened to me. I could have avoided my FSA being wiped clean had they reviewed my insurance policy. I am very disappointed and disheartened because even after speaking to a Viva Eve representative who said they would look into it, I never received a call back.

Had a great experience today! From the front desk employees to the nurse (happy birthday fellow cancerian!!) to the ultrasound tech to the doctor, everyone was amazing!! This is the only doctors office I go to that doesnt give me anxiety - everyone is so friendly and kind.

This place is a scam. I visited a few times earlier this year because they told me they accept my insurance. After my first visit, they advised me that they are “out of network” and will actually be billing my insurance as such. I was hesitant to return because of similar reviews and potential surprise medical bills but they reassured me multiple times that I would not have to pay out of pocket and they will accept whatever the insurance chooses to pay. Fast forward to today, I’ve had to pay numerous bills to different labs where they sent my blood work for different tests that THEY wanted to give me. Not once did they mention that these tests are not covered by insurance and if I knew, I wouldn’t have opted for them. I called the office many times trying to resolve these lab bills but ultimately ended up having to pay them all out of pocket as they were threatening to send me to collections. The office offered no help at all besides “oh the nurse should have told you”. Save yourself the headaches and money and go to an office that is in network. Thanks viva eve for making a stressful situation 100x worse.

I have been going to this clinic and a few years now. After my most recent visit, I am considering leaving to another clinic. I feel like I am constantly pressured by Dr. Gohar to have surgery to remove fibroids which are not significantly affecting my daily living. In other words, fibroids do not affect my life in such a way that I believe that surgically intervention is required. Unlike most people here in the comment section who say that they prefer to see Dr. Gohar at their visit but instead are seen by his nurse practitioners, I actually prefer to see anyone (including nurse practitioners) other than Dr. Gohar when I visit the office. I always know that Dr. Gohar will try to pressure me into having surgery which makes me extremely uncomfortable. I feel like he tries to make the situation sound so grim with the intent to make me feel that I must have surgery. Last time, he was accompanied by a female doctor. She was kind of like his echo chamber or hype woman. Unbeknownst to him, I have consulted with other physicians about the fibroids and I was advised that they are not severe and dont require surgical intervention unless my quality of life is so negatively affected which would require me to have them surgically removed.Making matters worse, I received a message recently telling me that I have an upcoming follow up appointment even though I had a follow up appointment already less than a month ago. I never scheduled this appointment and when I called the office to ask what the appointment was for, I was told that this appointment was a follow-up to the follow-up. I believe it is a reason to bill my insurance company again. Otherwise, I like the staff and the quality of service, but that is irrelevant if I feel uncomfortable with and uncertain of the doctors motives (i.e., driven mainly by monetary gain). I wish that I didnt have to write a negative review, but I have to be honest. I feel stress and anxiety sometimes when I am visiting the office.

My last visit was Saturday 15th 2024.and my experience with that new OBGYN was not too nice. Next time I would rather Ben Thornton take cake of me he is such an understanding individual/ person and he listens to me. If not I may have to take my services some where else. Didnt even offer to send me any medication at my pharmacy to stop my bleed or nothing. If it was Miss Gopaul she would have help me with something just in main time while I wait to do my procedure.

The wait is gonna be at least two hours. Even if you have an appointment. It’s a real shame that women’s healthcare takes this long in this day and age.

Very attentive and professional staff, facilities are always clean. I received care during my pregnancy and was always checked with ultrasound at the office during my appointments which was great because I didnt have to schedule appointments for ultrasounds somewhere else.

Please be prepared to the BAD BILLING experience. They tell you yes your insurance is accepted with us and we never had problems with them - they are a really good health insurance. I told them that the billing reviews were very bad on google reviews but they re-assure you that they will not charge you with surprise bills. They tell you that your insurance company will send you a check - in my case they never send a check but made a small deposit. I have no medical condition - it was only a routing health check. When you call them a few weeks later about your concerns about the EOB they tell you they take it as a loss for them. But they do practice Surprise bill although you receive a form they are compliant with the No Surprise Act. From a medical point of view, the luxury is present, but they really failed a routine exam such as an ultrasound. Please AVOID this place: I was well prepared for the billing experience and they got me. Now I am taking legal actions if they do not support me through this billing experience.

Dr. Thornton was amazing very detail with his explanation walked out with hopes and couple of options. Finally got to find the bottom of my issue. The staff were amazing as well the facility was supper modern and clean. I will definitely recommend.

As always, I had an amazing experience at Viva Eve. The wait was a bit long for this past appointment, but I scheduled my appointment very last minute and for the end of the day so I completely understood. Dr. Gohar personally apologized and did everything in his power to make me feel accommodated, heard, and not at all rushed. I love coming to both the forest hills and the new upper east side location (upper east side is definitely a bit more convenient for me though). Ive had nothing but good things to say about all my appointments. Dr. Gohar and the rest Viva Eve staff are truly wonderful.

Im hoping this review brings attention to whoever is in charge. But I think for such a reputable place which I have loved till now, its highly unacceptable that a month after being seen I still have not received my blood work from them. I keep getting push back and Im beginning to think they either dont care or never sent it out. I was told its not an emergency and they are taking patients at the moment. Am I not a patient? Did I not go there for my blood work a month ago? Are you kidding me? They completely lost my trust and respect.

Hi hello, this is a fact proven by your employees I spoke to over the phone trying to make an appointment. I was told you DON NOT takeAetna city of ny employee health insurance. And to be seen I have to pay 650$ . Check your phone recordings . I’m not lying, but your staff must be.

Friendly helpful staff clean Environment, modern good location. The wait time was short I really like my Dr. Jessica and her assistant nurse Nimrah and the sonographer they answered whatever questions or concerns I had and very patient.

Edited review:Billing issues on Viva Eves end is resulting in me owing some lab hundreds of dollars for routine bloodwork testing.Viva Eve is in my network but unbeknownst to me they sent my bloodwork to a lab out of network so my insurance is refusing to pay for it. When I called Viva Eve about this they did say that my bloodwork should have been sent to an in network lab so they messed up, but there has been no follow up on how to resolve this matter.They say they will follow up with me but have yet to do to so three weeks later. I called them and emailed them the requested info but they are ghosting me.Update: they resolved my issue after leaving this review, but I still wouldn’t trust them asmy obgyn office since I had to go to these lengths to be heard.

I have never had such a relaxed and more comforting experience with a women’s health clinic than here . I was treated like I know them for years and they are so quick and knowledgeable. Thank you ladies so much . I actually look forward to my follow up to learn more .

The office is very clean and overall nice, they have bottles of water available and a lot of booklets with information about services, contraceptive, procedures etc. The staff is very nice and helpful. I booked my appointment with Dr. Nithya but I was seen by Nurse practitioner Jessica who I loved! She was very knowledgeable and listened actively to my concerns, she went over all my the forms I filled as a new patient and asked me every important detail before she did the exam. She explained to me pros and cons of different contraceptives and recommended the one that fitted better due to my history. I completely love my experience there and I will definitely come back, I really appreciate that I felt comfortable and at ease since woman’s health is a very sensitive subject and I feel that is very important that you feel secure and with a peace of mind that you are in good hands.

My experience at Viva E for the second time was extremely pleasant. The staff and doctors were extremely nice and caring. They made you feel as if you were one of their girlfriends! I felt comfortable, and not ashamed to ask any questions. This is definitely a good place to go too.

Fancy GYN scam. They ask you on the phone for your insurance prior to scheduling an appointment.I called the first time and was told my insurance covered. Called the second to schedule an appointment because the first time I was unable to, AND was told my insurance was not covered and needed to pay up front. Suddenly called for the second time and your office is an Out-of-Pocket and does not take Blue Cross Blue Shield? Not sure what kind of insurance prioritization this clinic has, but make sure you train your staff to when you call your direct 212 number to address the correct information.Please ladies, visit and schedule another GYN office.

Everyone I’ve encountered who works here is very compassionate and kind. And I genuinely like Dr. Thornton, he does not sugar coat things he tells you exactly what is going on which I very much appreciated. Highly recommend seeking obgyn care at this officeI’m editing my review because not only does the billing department call, then call back about a minute later if you don’t answer, but I have gotten multiple bills after submitting the checks from my insurance. The bills do not show any reflection of those checks. It is insanely ridiculous, to the point where I now will not answer calls or mail from them. I still say Dr Thornton was amazing. But now the office is basically stalking me for payments I have already made about the worst day of my life.

I loved that the provider was so attentive and had a resolution for my problem. Excellent bedside manner. The overall esthetic of the office is very warm and inviting. No pressure added. From setting up an appointment to checking in the staff at the Forest Hills location are so kind, informative, and take the time to address all concerns their patients come with. Horrible experience. Be prepared for them to add on things during an annual exam that you dont want, to the point where you have to adamantly repeat no and you feel completely taken advantage of. If you are looking for a place that offers pain management for procedures, look elsewhere. Then they call you a week later and tell you that they forgot to explain the billing process. This was physically painful, humiliating, and terrible patient experience.

It took me quite a while to find a knowledgeable and bed manner OBGYN office. I highly recommend this facility. The entire staff are all nice and friendly to all their patients. If you have any questions or concerns here you will never be afraid to ask any question either it’s dumb one or not please just ask. I am so comfortable here. I would like to give a shoutout to Dr. Sophia, NP Melanie and my famous doctor to me lol Dr.Gohar thank you for your caring and undivided attention to all of my concerns and most definitely my well being. The office staff and NP are amazing, they welcome you with a smile even tho they are wearing a mask. Waiting period wasnt bad either, the NP answer all my concerns and took her time to explain me everything. I definitely recommend this office.

I had such a great experience:) I have had bad experiences at Gyno’s before but this place was sooo welcoming and nice and answered all my questions. Highly Recommend. Everyone was so nice! Viva Eve is AWESOME! I let go of my former GYN because I did not feel I was valued as a patient. My visit was so comforting and informative. I was not rushed, I was given detailed information and a medical plan to move forward.

Really nice OBGYN office! The reception staff, the nurses, the sonographer and the doctor that handled me were all patient, sweet, caring and assuaged any concerns I had. It’s a little bit far from me, but definitely worth the trip. Dr. Maass was so hands on and ready to help and didn’t seem rushed or annoyed when I put forth my concerns. Lovely first experience and definitely not my last. Can’t wait for the Manhattan clinic so I can be closer to it!

I recently had a baby and received my prenatal care from viva eve . I had a great experience . I love Dr Gopal and Dr Thorton . They are so kind and really care about your health . Dr Thorton assured I had a safe delivery and made me feel comfortable . The only thing I didn’t like about this practice is that sometimes when I saw a nurse practitioner , they would tell me something different than what the doctor would tell me which was confusing . But the ladies at the front desk are very nice and helpful .

Dr. Gohar and Dr. Gopal are AMAZING. I’ll never forget them and all that they’ve done for me. I had a complicated pregnancy during the pandemic and if it wasn’t for their outstanding care along with the doctors at Mount Sinai West, my baby girl probably wouldn’t be here and I’m forever grateful for them! I’ve never come across doctors who are so warm and caring, you can tell they really love what they do. I was always nervous at my appointments but their staff are also amazing and everyone explains everything thoroughly to help you along the way. Unfortunately my insurance changed and I won’t be able to return for now and I honestly don’t think I’ll find any other doctors who can compare to the ones I’ve met at this office but I’ll never stop recommending them to everyone I know lol. Dr. Gopal delivered my daughter and I’ll never forget her kind words and all that she has done. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏🏽♥️

Dr. Harris was such humble lady she made me feel comfortable no matter what. She also takes the time out to listen and that’s very important .

I’d gone to a couple different GYN offices prior to coming here and this is the only place that was able to provide me with a clear diagnosis and provide me with caring and attentive service. The staff is very nice and answer questions in a pleasant manner. They provided me with clear details prior to my procedures and kept my emergency contact in the loop all along the way. This helped ease some of the anxiety. I’m feeling a lot better and my symptoms have reduced significantly since having my procedures here. I would definitely recommend!

All around very dissatisfied with this practice. I made an appointment with Dr. Gopal but instead saw the Drs PA (after quite a long wait). I then was subject to invasive diagnostic tests unrelated to evaluating my symptoms - apparently these tests were to establish myself as a new patient. After speaking with their office multiple times to get lab results, I finally was told they use a patient portal (which i wasnt introduced to initially). They have since billed my insurance egregious amounts on multiple occasions and their explanation of these charges via phone call has been bewildering.Beautiful office, but a scam of a practice.

As a new patient I am totally impressed by Dr. Gohar’s and his patience and explanations on my concerns. I am satisfied and choose him as my new gyn doctor from now! The staff was also welcoming and supportive!

Im SO HAPPY to have found Viva Eve! I came in nervous and Dr. Sophie and team did a thorough examination on me, including ultra sound; thankfully all clear! Dr. Sophie was great at listening to my concerns and educating me. Even though they are out-of-network for my insurance (so out of pocket) I am still going to continue visiting Via Eve because of everyones friendliness and professionalism from receptionist, secretary, MA, and USG (Ronny, Pam, Benita, Jessie) and especially Dr. Sophie Drosinos experience!

This place was SPECTACULAR a couple of years ago. There was a doctor there whose mission was to find a way to heal you or at the very least explain your symptoms (finally) in a manner that made you feel like you werent some alien, and that this is something that has happened and were going to fix it. I LOVED her and maybe her empathy came from having a very sick relative (she would speak to you in that kind of familiar way). Since you had by chance found your way to the clinic, her belief was that she had to help you, even with your insurance. She took the time to work out the insurance issues.That was a long time ago in a far away place, it seems. Shes no longer there. The clinic seems to have a very business like mindset now. Which is there right. Like any other business, its about the bottom line, profits. Oh well, nothing stays the same.

We welcome all women should actually be we welcome all rich women. I placed my trust in this establishment for my health and safety. Due to me being a student and 26, I had to switch to Medicaid for my insurance. I have a very common one called Healthfirst. When I informed them that I needed to switch my insuance, they told me they did not except medicaid or Healthfirst, even though their website still said that it did accept Medicaid (that was outdated according to the front desk). Alright no problem, I just needed to restart my entire search for a gyno. In the mean time, I needed very important perscription medication, that I had been taking for YEARS, under the guidance of several OBGYNs (Including Viva Eve!) for an issue with my cycle. Viva Eve evaluated me for the prescription during my annual and that was that. However, they needed me to come in 3 months into my prescription to have a follow-up, otherwise theyd take the prescription away. Since they dont take Medicaid, they told me to get my NEXT WEEKS worth of medicine, I needed to pay for a $700, 30 minute consultation, out of pocket. Not with an MD or a psychiatrist, but with a random staff person. $700 is over 2 years worth of my medication-- that I really needed. They refused to work with me, do a telehealth appointment, or offer a repayment plan. They knew they were the only doctor I had. They knew my insurance would expire before I needed my refill. They failed to warn me that, if I wanted my medication, I would have to find $700 for a 30-minute follow-up by a non-MD for medication I have been taking for years.I could not pay that. So the front desk person apologized, but they had no referrals for me and had nothing to say when I asked how to get through the withdraw symptoms. I had to start over and find another doctor within 1 week or I was going to suffer from withdraw, which I did. It was humiliating and uncomfortable.

Ive had a wonderful experience the four times Ive been to Viva Eve. They are professional and polite. Mrs./Ms. Garcia has been very informative and makes me feel comfortable every time Ive seen her.

I found this place while looking for the GYN I can trust. Have not regretted it. I first started with Dr. Gohar. Exceptional doctor. He is everything you may need. Kind, respectful, knowledgeable, and attentive. He is PERFECT. My last visit, I saw Dr.Mass, another kind soul. She made me feel so relaxed comfortable. This place has a gold mine of doctors. I have recommended anyone who asks. You feel welcomed as soon as you step in. From the front desk to the Medical Assistants. Not forgetting how immaculately clean this place is. I used to be a patient of a Dr who retired at this office. It was very difficult for me to find a Dr to replace the one I was seeing. I found Dr. Gopal on zoc doc and I am extremely glad I found her. She is my new Dr. She was very knowledgeable and detailed about what to expect during the visit. The Staff at viva eve was extremely friendly and professional. I highly recommend coming here for anyone who is looking for the perfect ob/gyn practice. Plus the music that was playing was awesome. Thank you for allowing me to be your patient.

Wonderful doctors and nurses who made me feel very comfortable and kept checking up on me for several days after my procedure. Clean, modern office, very nice recovery room that even had tablets for patients so that they dont get bored! I was driven to the procedure in a luxury car, the same car was waiting for me when I was ready to go home. A very good experience. If you are considering UFE, this is the way to go.
