I truly appreciate Dr. Roberts. I’ve met with her twice now. Although she is extremely busy, when you sit with her it doesn’t feel that way. She takes time to hear you and what your needs and concerns are. That is much appreciated, especially when faced with potentially life altering decisions. Special shout out to Devyn, who always welcomes patients like me with a smile and a gentle, welcoming spirit. Again, much needed when there’s so much on a woman’s heart and mind. Thank you, ladies.

Dr. Roberts has the best bedside manners. Has always treated me with respect and the absolute best medical care. Shes not only concerned about your physical but also your mental health. She really cares about her patients. I wouldnt go anywhere else for my gynecology needs. And her feminine wash is the best 👌. My doctor for life.

The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Roberts listened to my issues and when I stated I wanted surgery she said okay let me talk to you about it. After surgery they checked me twice to make sure I was healing properly. Their Playlist is always great as well. The lobby is so calming and serene.

The atmosphere of the office is great. I have never had a bad experience with anyone in the office. I never have ro experience long wait times and Dr. Roberts is top tier. She is always attentive, smiling and making sure her patients have the best experience.

I am very disappointed with the professionalism and lack of compassion from Dr. Tomeka Roberts as well as her staff. I started having excessive irregular bleeding in August 2023. My first appointment with Dr. Roberts was in March 2024. At the appointment she was confident the depo shot would regulate my cycle. It did not work, I had an appointment in early July for a vaginal ultrasound and was told I had a polyp in my cervix. once again Dr. Roberts was confident if the polyp was removed and I continue the depo shot my cycles would regulate until I go through menopause in about 10 years. I discussed having a hysterectomy but Dr. Roberts recommended having the myomectomy. I had thee surgery July. I went in 3 weeks later for what should have been a 2 week checkup. She performed a pelvic exam and I was told during surgery I also had a fibroid. asked why wasnt the fibroid seen on the vaginal ultrasound which I was given no explanation. She once again was confident she removed all of the fibroid but after another vaginal ultrasound saw some of the fibroid was still there. I also had inflammation a infection from surgery. I should have been sent home with antibiotics to prevent an infection after the surgery but was only prescribed Ibuprofen. Once again she said after the infection is cleared up the bleeding should stop. I took all of the medication and nothing has changed. The surgery didnt solve any issues. I constantly call and send messages through the patient portal. I get no responses from the portal and when calling for an appointment they try to schedule you months out. It has been 7 weeks and have yet to go back for a 4 week checkup. My bleeding is very heavy and I also have pelvic pains. I called the office to try to schedule a surgery consultation and was told the earliest appointment will be the end of October. I contacted my previous OBGYN (which I never would have left but due to insurance didnt have a choice). After telling him about my issues he saw me in his office the next day free of charge. After the exam he concluded I need a hysterectomy which is what I have been telling Dr. Roberts all along. Yesterday I had a gush of blood and clots with pelvic pain. I contacted the hospital and was told Dr. Roberts was on call. I told the operator about the situation and they called her while I was on hold. She advised them to tell me to come to the emergency room. I went immediately and was there in less than 30 minutes. I checked in. had blood drawn, IV etc. The doctors paged Dr. Roberts with no response, they then called her only to find out she left! she is the one who told me to go to the emergency room and she left without checking on her patient! No call! No check! I was furious, the ER doctor was upset as well as the nurse! My medical condition is not taken serious by Dr. Roberts or her staff! At this point I have scheduled surgery with my previous OBGYN that I have to pay out of pocket for because the hospital is out of network with my insurance. Its very costly to me but for my medical condition to get proper care and attention needed I have no choice. I thought at first Dr. Roberts would be a good doctor but I am very disappointed with her and her staff and I will not be returning! If you have a serious medical condition I would not recommend Dr. Roberts! Unprofessional, non caring, no compassion!!! Never would I return!!! And this is only a portion of what happened its much more but too much to type!!

Every portion of my annual visit to Dr. Roberts is top notch. The office staff are pleasant and welcoming. The nurses are friendly yet professional. Dr. Roberts is amazing! She explains things well, asks questions, and makes you feel as if you are her only patient. I’ve never felt rushed or made to feel that she had other things to do. I love the fact that she escorts me to the checkout desk. Just another nice touch!

Dr. Roberts and her staff was so Amazing. The overall experience was welcoming and comfortable. I really loved the kind spirit I was greeted with when I met Dr. Roberts and I trusted her immediately. Dr. Roberts is great! She is kind and caring and the very best. I would go to her hands down anywhere she goes.However, it would be great if women weren’t reduced to two sheets of paper during their annual visits. It used to be a pink paper gown, then a pink paper shirt. Now it’s just two pieces of paper to cover yourself in her office. I know it is not Dr. Roberts making that decision. She wouldn’t cut corners for her patients to that extent.

Dr. Roberts was extremely personable. The staff was also extremely friendly and fast moving! Everyone greeted me with their name and what they’d be doing before taking any action and I appreciated that tremendously. No long wait time despite needing to have a lot done during my first visit.

I am a new patient. I was seen on 09/18/2023. I have sent several messages in the patient portal. Dr. Roberts will not respond directly to any messages. She ordered over $1600 worth of labs for an annual visit. What certified physician orders a Hemoglobin A1C at a womens visit or check your triglycerides? I personally feel like this physician was intentionally milking my insurance company BCBS. Both Lab Corps and BCBS have requested that her office updates the correct medical diagnosis billing for my visit. I am a RN, NP and her Soror. Bad business. No response from her to correct the issue. Beware!!!

Dr. Roberts and her staff were very attentive to any concerns I shared. I felt like adequate time was spent with me for my exam and consultation. Everyone was very pleasant and engaging.

When i say care from start to finish (check in, dr visit, and check out) thats what I mean. Friendly receptionist, friendly staff, the best physician (Dr. Roberts). She takes time to listen. I am so glad I transferred my care to Dr. Roberts! I moved from a very large OB/GYN practice that seemed overly busy to address my concerns. Today was my second visit with Dr. Roberts. I have to admit, I felt the difference as soon as I walked into her office. The staff is very warm, welcoming, helpful and friendly. I didnt wait any longer than 15 minutes after my appointment time to see Dr. Roberts on both occasions. I have found Dr. Roberts to be very personable, compassionate and knowledgeable. She calmed my worries about my condition and I left the office with a new plan today that was well explained. I feel like Ive finally found the OB/GYN for me!! Thanks, Dr. Roberts!!

Dr. Roberts was given all of Dr. Samuel Sullivan’s patients after he retired and I was one of Dr Sullivan’s patients before he retired. I was a little leery at first because I had been with Dr Sullivan for years but after meeting and talking to Dr Roberts she made me feel so at ease. She is a very down to earth person and I would strongly recommend her!

Dr. Roberts did not take the time to explain treatment options to me for my Pcos nor did she listen to my concerns. Instead of talking to me about a planned labiaplasty surgery she canceled it TWO DAYS PRE OP at 6pm after I was already getting the run around with trying to get answers to simple questions . I had already made arrangements for my job and my driver twice!! And the scheduling lady Trena has a bad sarcastic attitude. She made me feel so unwelcomed.

Dr. Roberts is a great doctor! She delivered both of my children and takes great care of my wife during her regular visits. However, the accounting department will attempt to screw you over and over again. They dont keep good records, but I do. I should not have to prove that the bill has been paid with each visit.

I would give this doctors office zero stars if I could! The absolute WORSE office staff! Every year, I have to call to make them adjust the billing code since they file it incorrectly. This year, they claimed to have corrected it; however, I received a letter from a collection agency. Clearly, they didnt fill my claim correctly AGAIN with my insurance. The insurance company has confirmed that they arent filing it correctly. Every time I call to get assistance from Kendall, she doesnt seem to know what is going on and appears to be out of the office every Thursday and Friday. Therefore, getting my issue resolved isnt a priority. This is unacceptable. I will NEVER visit this office again!

Love Love Love Dr. Roberts and her nurse Ms. LaLa. They have such a great loving and caring attitude towards your care. She has been my GYN doctor for several years and I always feel comfortable when I am speaking with her and Ms LaLa.OFFICE STAFF: Thats a whole different ball game. They are the most rudest and unprofessional set of women I have ever seen. I miss her at her Brookwood office. This St Vincent office staff Sucks!!!!! Five stars for Dr. Roberts and Ms LaLa NOT the office staff.

I had to wait about 1 hour 45 minutes so I decided to leave. As I was leaving, Dr. Roberts here me say she dont pay my bills I help pay hers. As a result, she sends me a dismissal letter. Thankfully, it was the best thing she could have done because the knew OBGYN is wonderful.

Dr. Roberts and her staff are the MOST unprofessional office/staff I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I saw Dr. Roberts once in 2015. I vowed to never see her again. I began to see Dr. Jones. Dr. Jones was outstanding, professional, and attentive. According to a staff member, Dr. Roberts no longer wanted to bill Medicaid (I wouldn’t expect anything less of her) in her office and Dr. Jones did so Dr. Jones had to relocate. I continued to see Dr. Roberts because I was pregnant but I just couldn’t bare another moment of her unprofessionalism along with her rude staff and nurses. Dr. Roberts alone has left a bad taste in my mouth for the entire Brookwood Medical Center, which is sad because I really love the atmosphere.I’m sure you can find a professional OBGYN elsewhere! A doctor’s staff can only be as good as/ a representation of the doctor. I give them all a 0 out of 5 stars! Don’t make this mistake.

Dr Roberts billing staff are horrible. Do NOT sign their credit card agreement. Although I have sent them evidence multiple times that my insurance paid their claims for a biopsy and follow-up surgery in 2021, they charged my card for one of those claims and refuse to reimburse me. An agent from the insurance company contacted them about both claims and proved that my insurance paid both claims. After the insurance company contacted them, the office emailed and told me I did NOT owe the one they had not yet charged me for and said the fraudulent charge they made to my card was under review. Even after the proof given them by my insurance company, they are claiming again that I owe them for the procedure they emailed me 2 months to say I did NOT owe. And they still refuse to reimburse the charge in January. Whether this is incompetence or fraud I do not know. What I do know is I have been going round and round with them since early January 2022 for procedures in October and November 2021, and they just keep trying to charge me for claims my insurance paid. They are horrible! Do not use this practice. They will drive you crazy trying to sort out their mess.

Whenever I come into the office, the workers are great. Tomeka is amazing. She took my concerns and showed sympathy. Will recommend to others!!

I was in labor 13 hrs and Dr. Roberts never arrived. A different doctor that Ive never met had to perform an emergency C-Section on me, which made me even more uncomfortable. Dr. Roberts did not show up until the next day. When I questioned her about her not showing up she told me that she was on her way. 13 hours of labor and a emergency C-Section and you were on your way? I was very disappointed.

I went here years ago because one of my clients recommended her. I went for one visit and NEVER returned. The office staff was unprofessional, and I waited 45 minutes before being seen. Dr. Roberts mannerism was professional but, when she attempted to do my assessment without washing her hands and just applying gloves was a deal breaker for me! When asked to wash her hands she seemed offended. DOCTORS and ALL healthcare workers are taught this. It is a standard precaution to prevent the spread of germs and yet SO MANY professionals fail to do it! Everyone that read this post, know that it is your duty as a patient to SEE healthcare professionals sanitize/wash their hands. If you don’t see it do NOT be afraid to ask them to do so.

Dr.Roberts Seems nice on the surface but is always in a hurry and lets her nurse dictate everything only concerned about insurance and tbat is all! Be prepared to sit all day in the waiting room...then taken to a room where you will sit even longer! They flounce students and medical assistants around during exams in the room overall Ive had better!

The office lacks organization, professionalism and common courtesy. I only went to one office visit last year and have been dealing with billing issues since then. I gave the office all insurance information they even copied the card with ID. Next thing I know they start sending me bills without billing the insurance. I call the office manager she says they will resolve this. It was never resolved. They kept sending me the same bill without billing my insurance. Meanwhile 4 months after that her nurse calls me with a critical lab value. Saying she doesnt know how it was missed but I need to follow up. I follow up with someone else, turns out I have a pituitary adeoma. Anyways 7 months later the same nurse calls from her new office and says shes giving patients courtesy calls regarding delinquent bills. I ask for an invoice she cant send one. She can however call the office manager at the old office to have her call me back. That is the same office manager who has never called me back after numerous attempts to get in contact. She still has yet to contact me. :/

Very unprofessional. First and last experience with her was in 2006 when I went into premature labor. Unfortunately, this doctor was the doctor on call. When she called me back, she was very short and rude. Her tone was very condescending and you could tell she had absolutely no interest in anything I was saying. I would NEVER EVER recommend this person to anyone!!! And BTW if youre reading this Tomeka, I end up losing my baby that night at 5/12 months pregnant. You have a 2.9 rating on Google, DO BETTER!!!

Ive been a patient for over 11 years so I understand staff changes, but the new staff is very unprofessional, u cant get anybody on the phone and when you do happen to get someone on the phone u get this nice nasty lady who could careless if you are seen or not. Dr. Roberts delivered my 11 yr old daughter and I can honestly say shes the best gyn Ive ever had. But if I call your office and say I have an emergency and I need to see my gyn and this nice nasty lady tells me she cant see me until the 22nd, I said Im having and emergency who would wait till the 22nd. Anybody in their right mind would be forced to find another doctor. Sad though, I really liked Dr. Roberts. After 11 yrs I have to find a new doctor. Btw its definitely not Dr. Roberts, she is amazing if u get her actually get her youll have a great doctor. Unfortunately to get to her youll have to go through her staff and they are horrible.

BEWARE ....Dr roberts seems like she cares but she money hungry. I went to this dr for 9 years and only to be told by an emergency doctor what was really wrong. I had been going every two weeks for a year for dr roberts to perform the same test the emergency dr performed once and called for emergency surgery. When i brought back my prognosis to dr roberts office she said oh now i see.When scheduling my surgery the admin some black bald guy basically told me if i slept with him he could cover the surgery. I wrote the hosptial, board and dr roberts office and recieved no response. Dr roberts will play with your life for a check.

Patrick, the lady who did my blood pressure and the nurse who was in the room with Dr Roberts were all awesome! Sorry... Im bad with names. There was just no way to forget Patrick... LOL

I love Dr. Jones. I was previously seeing a doctor at Shelby OBGYN and found a doctor at Brookwood that had a UAB degree. I was supposed to have surgery and Shelby was very rude and made me feel terrible about it. But Dr Jones Explained Everything and was very nice to me and made me feel confident in her ability to take care of me. I have been seeing her for two years now and am finally pregnant with my first child and she has taken careasonable of me every step of the way.The only downfall to her office is the administration staff and financial office. They never seem to know what is going on and problems always seem to arise. But somehow it always works itself out. There are kinks in every office. And I wouldnt trade Dr Jones for anyone.

The practice is unprofessional! They have medical assistants posing as nurses. High turnover for staff. Medical information not handled with care. I informed Cynthia Jones that I needed to go on maternity leave prior to the 40 weeks due to work related issues. She stated that I could not. She acted as if my employer was her patient and not me. I elected to cease prenatal care at their practice. They were upset. Cynthia did not reach out, but Tomeka stated to her office manager that I should have let them know prior to leaving. I am an adult and did not feel I needed to apprise an individual of my decisions especially since I had attempted to communicate my concerns on several separate occasions, but to no avail. I had spoken with Cynthia several times regarding my health concerns while being pregnant and the physical requirements to perform my job. She NEVER documented anything which is why she was unfamiliar with the issues I presented on each visit. To this point, I ended up going into labor 3 weeks early due to the stress of my job!

I have been going to Dr Roberts for years her mom was my Speech teacher in High School and she is the best. I love her nurses as well. A very friendly environment

She has delivered both of our children. She is a really good doctor who loves her job. We are grateful to her sweet staff, as well. They are a blessing.

The doctor is great. But horrible office manager! Geralds chamblin! He is incompetent and slow! How did you even got that job? I went for my annual and got a medical bill! Its preventative service. Which means its 100% covered. They coded it wrong so , i have to fight for them to fix it. He was not helpful at all , he kept interrupting me. So unprofessional! He needs to get fired, he kept telling me i had to call the lab because they code it! No! The doctor codes it you moron! So its your responsibility to talk to the doctor and get it fixed. Oh btw before he finally pulled me up , he had a different pt up thinking it was me! I got so pissed, i requested to speak with the doctor myself to report how unprofessional he is.

Dr. Roberts and her staff are very friendly. Dr. Roberts and her nurse make you feel very comfortable. It is almost like you forget youre at the gynecologist!! Definitely recommend Dr. Roberts if looking for an OBGYN.

So I arrived on time for my appointment updated my paperwork watched it lay in window for 10 minutes before anyone touched it after another 20 or so minutes I approached the window to see if maybe doctor got called out to surgery or something since I was now over 30 minutes past my appointment time I was told sorry your next so another 10 minutes goes by and another girl gets called back nurse returns to get me takes my weight and as she was taking my blood pressure asked me how I was I responded good just running late at which she replied Im sorry your late no you guys are running me late she jerks the cuff off my arm tells me to follow her takes me to room throws sheet on table then walks out and slams the door well it didnt go well with me since its now an hour past my appointment I kindly open door tell her never mind I will find another doctor so I dont know what kind of doctor Roberts is but her staff just caused her to loose a patient

I have been a patient of Dr. Tomeka Roberts for 20 years and I can truly say that she and her staff are the best!!!!!! I have always been treated with kindness and respect as a person and as a patient. I started with Dr. Roberts when she was at Brookwood Hospital and when I founded out she was moving to St Vincent Hospital, I decided I would move also.
