HealthCARE Express Urgent Care - Wake Village, TX

Very quick and easy process. The person who contacted me to review my info and get my co-pay was very sweet. The dr for my virtual was extremely friendly. The appointment was quick yet efficient and prescriptions were called in. Will definitely use again in the future for myself and my family members.

The lady at the receptionist desk was very nice. Ive been to Healthcare Express many times, but this visit I was told that my insurance was out of network and it would be a cash visit. After I had to go to the local ER and wait for 5 hours to be seen I found out I have the flu. I have the same insurance Ive had for years, so not sure whats going on with that. Otherwise, Ive always had a good experience with Healthcare Express

Had a terrible Sinus infection/Ear infection 🤧. After seeing them, Receiving a Steroid shot, B-12, and picking up oral antibiotics... I began to feel a LOT better a few hours later and an hour and a half nap. 😁 The staff was fast, courteous/polite...

I was seen quickly. My providers were competent, kind ,and courteous. They listened to my concerns. I was very pleased with my visit to Health Care Express.

Steve Foltz the nurse practitioner was very kind and very helpful and the nurse was awesome too. They both were very concerned about my illness. The front desk was very kind. I have never had a issue going there.

Late on appointment that I booked online, was first denied the option to sit in my heated truck, after I explained I had a fever of 101. Sat in the waiting room 30 min total, 20 min after my appointment shivering before I ask the front desk attendant if I could just go sit in my truck. This used to be a decent clinic, it is not anymore. I’ll be going back to dealing with the VA for urgent care.

I went in today told the young lady that I was there for a flu shot. She took my information and had me sign the paperwork. She was trying to see if they could get my insurance verified. She asked me did I have flu symptoms I told her no that I needed to get a flu shot for work. Then she proceeded to say that they don’t give a flu shots out. Why wasn’t this mention when I told you why I was there when I first walked in? Why does the website say that you get flu shots? Kaydn or however you spell her name who works then front desk did terrible job.

Less than 5 minutes after signing in i was called to the back the provider was viewing my chart as the nurse was typing in the information and then quickly came in as the nurse was finishing up taking my vitals the provider ShaRhonda Colbert quickly assessed my issue and gave my the needed shots and medication to help with the pain. For those who are curious I have rheumatoid arthritis and sometimes this time of year is hard on my joints

Staff, nurses, and the NP, Stephen were all very welcoming, professional, and compassionate towards my sick son. Great experience 10/10 will recommend to family and friends.

Had to have injection of antibiotics. The receptionist was very nice. The nurse who gave the shot was also friendly. In and out of there with no waiting. Very pleased.

The frond end staff need more training but very sweet. The Dr. was nice but never called my medicine in to the pharmacy. I tried calling but you cant get anyone on the phone.

Was able to talk To the medical profession over the phone. I was prescribed antibiotics for an infection and was able to pick that up and begin using it the same day as the call. Very pleased with the service.

Had to wait a little longer than I expected in the exam room. But that was because someone was rushed in with a squirting artery evidently so of course that takes precedence. Otherwise, as ever, the nurse practitioner was friendly the nurse was friendly, and once I got to see my practitioner I was in and out like a flash.

Absolutely love the Wake Village branch of HCE. They are always fast and courteous. They listen and care! No complaints from me.

Horrible front ofc girl was more worried about a cash error on another pt than helping me. Cut me off shot 3 times I finally gave up but nurse\doctor was so sweet n helpful

This is my personal experience. I have been having excruciating pains in my back. After being evaluated TWICE (within a months time) they gave me my doctors note for light duty and said they were going to refer me to an MRI. I requested clearly that I wanted my MRI at christus st michael because of my colon cancer related issues and he responded with “Okay”. I then received a text from the same place for my MRI. I again requested it to be referred at Christus (and a side note: the woman I spoke to looked at me as if she’d never seen a person and was very nonchalant with her answers). Well he then proceeded to tell me I would need ANOTHER evaluation. As someone who is struggling with bills and medical issues, I truly do not have the money to keep getting evaluated and I feel as if that’s all they’re aiming for. I truly did not have a great experience here and now I’m stuck having to find another doctor to help me.

I have never been to a clinic and had such a quick and thorough exam. The receptionist, nurse, and doctor were pleasant and knowledgeable. I have already started spreading the word about my neighborhood Healthcare Express. Thank you all!!

I was sick for days before I made an appointment. I had a sore throat, ear hurt, could barely swallow, headache, fever, absolutely miserable! After my visit I got my prescription and started feeling better that afternoon. The staff was all wonderful too.

I understand that it was a holiday weekend but I waited 4 hours just to be seen. I was in an exam room for all of 30 minutes if that. There was only one nurse and one doctor. They should have known that it would be busy and should have had more people working the back. There were several people that got there after I did and they got seen first. I was one of the last ones for the day to be seen. I simply needed antibiotics and I think it was ridiculous I had to wait 4.5 hours to be seen.

Took a DOT physical. Waiting room was empty. It took them two hours. Really. Waited another 30 minutes after the physical to get the paperwork. Wont be back

I have always had good service from Healthcare Express. It is easy to make an appointment online. It makes rhe checkin process smooth. And I rarely have to wait more than 15 minutes if that long.

I have been in to this clinic as well as having a virtual visit. They are quick and efficient. My virtual appointment was was super easy and I was called before my appointment time. I had talked with the Dr and she put my prescriptions in while we were on the chat. We were finished before my appointment time. I will use their virtual opt again!

I was checked in quickly and my sinusitis problem was addressed. I was given a steroid shot and antibiotic prescription. Both the nurse and PA were quick to resolve my issue. I would highly recommend others come to Health Care Express.

Straight and easy. I got there and signed in, which I was able to do on my phone since I’ve been there before, but they do have the paper option. Paid my copay. Got called back and vitals taken within 5-10min of my arrival (they just opened up). They heard my symptoms and ran a test (which that takes about 30-45min itsself). Nurse practitioner came in after results came back, told me my diagnosis, prescribed me some medicine and I got to go home.

I suddenly came down with the flu and made it to the clinic just in time to get tested before they started shutting everything down for the night. Everyone was so nice! And I did test pos for flu....had to go all the way to Stateline to fill prescriptions tho....that was a bummer.

First I had a 220 appointment was there on time and took two hours to be seen. Then because it took so long ask Dr. To send prescription to cvs forney tx my appointment was on Friday went by Sunday morning to get prescription it was never sent to cvs forney had to wait until Monday to call and see where my prescription was. Terrible service will never go back.called 4 times on Monday left 4 different messages still have not heard back from anyone I would never recommend health express wake village

Extremely long wait.. could have gone to er. Once I got in told nurse what I needed, she gave me a tetanus shot, PA looked at my gash, put a tiny bandage on it and ordered antibiotic for me. Otherwise... fine.

I arrived 12 minutes after they opened. Full house with no empty chairs to sit. Without an appt I waited a couple hours but the staff are very professional and friendly. Would recommend.

Got a distance call because positive to Covid. Very nice call, helped me a lot.

Pay one amount just to get a bill in the mail later saying you didnt pay. Turns out despite paying it in full they made a mistake in billing and blame everyone but themselves.

Monday, September 18th, I was seen at the Wakevillage branch of HCE. The staff were very kind and knowledgeable. I was able to have 3 tests done at one time. Their new machine is pretty cool if it can test for Flu, Covid, and RSV at one time!! I always come to this location because of the friendly people and the fact that they take CareCredit!!!! Thank you HCE!!!!!!

I came in with flu like symptoms. I was seen quickly. The staff treated me with great care and made me feel safe. I was diagnosed with acute bronchitis and given meds. I was in and out in about 1 hour. Thank you for everything Health Care Express 7th Street!

I was there a week ago with coughing and feeling bad second visit. The entire time I never saw anyone disinfect anything. No one came out cleaning the chairs. Even in the back never saw any disfecting being done. One week later I tested positive for Covid. You have to understand I wear a mask I have home delivery on groceries, I have been vaccinated twice. I have not left my house in a week since leaving the clinic. Thank God I went to the 24 hour ER last night. I really like going there

After my Dad had an episode, which seemed like a stroke, I took him to the ER at CSM. They recommended a follow up with PCP. Since my Dad doesnt have one and he was still having some trouble, I brought him to HCE Wake Village. My Dad was see by the provider, Nurse Practitioner Toni. To say she was Excellent, is an understatement. She listened to me briefly to get what I had to say, but then immediately turned all focus to my Dad. She wanted to hear from him, what he had to say, how he was feeling, and what she could do for HIM.Long story short, we got exactly what we needed. I would highly recommend her. We were very pleased and happy with everything Toni did and explained to us. And overall, she just made him feel better by talking to him and making him involved with his care.These urgent care facilities get backed up sometimes, but definitely not as bad as the ER, and the care is much more personal and patient based, than the hustle of the typical ER.Thank you sooooo much to Toni and HCE for the help.

I checked in online it said there was only three ahead of me. I had walked in earlier for a covid test. Was told it was done by appointment only. So I had a appointment set for 6pm. We didnt get called back till 7pm after everyone in the waiting room had cleared out. I had my one year old granddaughter with me. I tested positive and they still wanted to charge me $225 to test her. cause we only had medicaid we didnt test her. I cried all the way home. I was supposed to have meds called in to CVS. Didnt get them till the next day. But Id rather go here then to the ER.

Quickest appointment for a healthcare provider! In and out within an hour! I was in a lot of pain with an ear infection so I needed quick! And that’s exactly what they provided. The receptionist is a sweetheart as are the triage nurse and the np. Thank you 🙏

Completely revamping my review as this corporation has gone completely to pot. A few weeks ago, I took my son in for tunnel vision in one eye. They took his temperature, checked his blood pressure, looked in his eye, and then sent us to our regular optometrist, who had a diagnosis in about 20 minutes. I paid $108.75 upfront and was told I wouldnt have to pay anything else. Lo and behold, I get a bill for another $101 after my insurance knocked the initial bill down by $248... How can 20 minutes of basic admission triage and an I dont know, go see your eye doctor be worth $458??

They do not treat you well at all. They refused medical service to somebody who might have been having a heart attack. It required a $150 to even be seen by the doctor, they refused to take treatment or give treatment. This place is not recommended for anybody who needs medical attention. It is not a express doctors office or an urgent care.

Most of the staff were great at first visit and one follow up visit. However I was over billed several hundred dollars. They are currently working on reimbursing me. My prescription ran out so I asked for refills. They wanted me to come in for another visit. Still havent been reimbursed for last visit overbilling so I said no thank you. I asked for enough medication to get through the next few weeks and time to get my reimbursement then I would come in. They refused. If you cant afford another visit no prescription refill. Im self pay btw so I pay cash. I believe this company cares more about money than people.

After going to the hospital and suffering for almost a week I decided to go to healthcare express. The nurse and doctor were very attentive and concerned. They made sure I received the proper treatment and I am feeling much better in less than 24 hours

We went in to get my husband checked out. Before they did any tests, we asked the cost of each one. The Doctor estimated the tests to be in total $50. After being diagnosed with the flu, he was prescribed flu medication. Our total was $135, and we were told that we wouldnt have to pay anything else. We did not buy the medication that wouldve cost $130 because it wouldve only helped taken within the first 48 hours of contracting the flu even though we told the Doctor he had felt that way for over a week. A month later, we received a bill in the mail from HealthCare Express saying we still owed $25. The tests were actually more expensive than told. So not only did my husband not benefit from the visit, but we still had a remaining balance. I recommend not going here unless you are deathly ill or money to spend.

I was not impressed. I had a simple problem but the p.a did not seem to understand very well and I was confused if I was speaking to a p.a or a Walmart greeter about my medical needs. I guess I will try to find a more knowledgeable medical staff at a differentmedical center.Update medical express reached out to me and I explained what happened. They have not responded yet. I hate that they are considered an emergency care facility and charge accordingly but when you need to see a doctor, it sure beats waiting for hours at your regular doctor who may or may not get you in when you need it. ***EDITED***I had jammed my pinky bone into my wrist. I removed it myself and my wife suggested I see the doctor.My normal doc wasnt open so I stopped by here.. I wasnt asking for anything more than friendly service and an xray to see if my hand was still dislocated, broken, or just severely jammed. Once its all said and done I sit back to the exam room.The doctor entered the room with crossed arms and tells me, he sees nothing wrong, hands me a brace to put on, and suggests I take some acetaminophen. His words, if it turns blue or something like that, go the the ERIdk what I expected him to do.. But he told me NOTHING that I didnt already know and looked down his nose at me. I didnt beg for drugs, I just want to know if I should be concerned.Doc was a dick, I feel like he pegged me as a druggie on the account of my military tattoos..the rest of his staff was awesome. But, I wont be returning, nor will my friends or family.EDIT: Upon my post, I recieved a call. A full apology for my experience and a guarantee that a solution will be found. 😊

I was really impressed with the young ladies at HCE, Wake Village today, I new I had something going on with my lungs and my family doctor said it was just bronchitis but after 3 weeks I still felt bad so I went today and everyone was very professional and took the time to listen to me and did 2 tests and xray and found that I have secondary pneumonia so I received 2 injections and prescription and I really feel that they actually cared about what was going on with me I highly recommend this urgent care clinic again thank you ladies for caring and taking care of me.
