Dr. Lizardo is hands down my favorite person after my surgery experience. I never expected the outcome to be so smooth, fast, and easy. Having this laparoscopic myomectomy has truly been life changing, impacting me mentally, socially, and physically. From my pre-op to the actual surgery day, everything went so well. On the day of surgery, I was a bit nervous, but Dr. Lizardo high energy and humor helped put me at ease. I honestly almost forgot I was about to have surgery! The recovery process has been surprisingly easy, to the point where walking around actually felt better than lying down. Now, I’m 5 weeks post-op, I can not even find my incision scar.it’s like I never had surgery at all. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Lizardo to anyone dealing with fibroids and looking to have them removed. I thank God for him, as I had been suffering from fibroids for the past four years, and this surgery has changed everything.

Doctor Lizardo did an AMAZINGGG job with my surgey! He removed 18 of my Fibroids with only two small incisions , one in my belly button and one by my bikini line. He has magical hands!! I was walking the same day and the next day after my surgery i was walking around even more. It has been one month since my surgey and i can barely see my incision, its almost invisible. Even after my second week of surgey, my incision was barely visible. Im so impressed he was able to remove 18 Fibroids with only two small incisions.Please see my before and after pics of my surgery which shows proof how flat my stomach was after surgery. Dr Lizardo is my favorite OBGYN, I trusted him to deliver my baby and to do my laparoscopic surgery. He is very knowledgeable and guided me through the process. My doctor was unavailable and I saw Dr. Lizardo in their place. Needless to say I never saw my old doctor again. Dr. Lizardo is a great listener and knows what he’s doing. Even when I feel a bit nervous I still somehow feel comfortable during my visits and that’s really huge for me. I’d give him more stars if Google would allow it :)

I feel so lucky to have met Dr Lizardo. This was my first surgery, but I felt very relaxed throughout the process, thanks to Dr Lizardos clear, detailed instructions and warm & upbeat personality. I can tell that he did an AMAZING job with the surgery- it almost seems a miracle how quickly I am recovering given the size of the tumors he took out. I took very minimal pain medication as I was recovering. I made sure to follow his post-op instructions (which are very detailed and unique!) carefully, and I think that helped a lot. Its been 3 weeks since my surgery and I already feel a relief from the symptoms I had before the surgery. Dr Lizardo is always professional, reassuring, and funny, and I could tell from interacting with him that he has a deep passion for what he does. Thank you for helping so many women- you are a hero!

I was a high-risk fibroid patient who several doctors had informed that the only treatment option I had was hysterectomy. I wanted to preserve my fertility. I found Dr. Randy Lizardo online (YouTube) and travelled all the way from New Jersey to Maryland. It has been two weeks since my surgery and I am so happy with the results.Dr. Lizardo is indeed knowledgeable. On my first visit to his office, he took time to go over the diagnosis clearly and different treatment options. More importantly, he was upfront with me, answered my questions and put my mind to rest. This sealed the deal for me to move forward with him as my surgeon.During my pre-op appointment, he provided expert guidance which built my confidence towards the next step since this was my first surgery. After a year and a half of bad pain that was impacting my life negatively I was referred to Dr Lizardo. Dr Lizardo is a very caring and empathetic health professional that not only listened to me and answered all my questions and concerns but also took the time to explain my medical situation as well as the pros and cons of the type of surgery I needed. Within a short time period I had a surgery scheduled. It has been two weeks since my fibroid/endometriosis surgery and my life has improved dramatically. The whole process was seamless from the beginning, and it is obvious that Dr Lizardo cares about his patients well being and quality of life. I highly recommend Dr Lizardo for management and treatment of fibroids and endometriosis.

Dr. Lizardo was amazing. He took so much care in answering all my questions! He also has a whole pre op process that makes your recovery easier. He explained all the pain I may feel and explained how to manage my pain meds!!! He was reassuring and had a great attitude the day of surgery that made me relax and feel safe. His staff was kind and supportive the day of surgery as well!!! The surgery itself became with little pain and the incisions and my belly button are looking great!!! He’s magic !

If you are searching for an expert physician who knows exactly what he is doing as it relates to removing fibroids, look no further, I know THE best OBGYN in the DMV, Dr. Randolph Lizardo. Dr. Lizardo is a professional, a people-person, and he cares about his patients getting the absolute best care. Prior to me doing a myomectomy surgery in June 2023 with Dr. Lizardo, I suffered immensely with uterine fibroids. This made my cycle last 7 days (sometimes more). I needed relief so I met with Dr. Lizardo; he examined me, and we scheduled the surgery where he removed a whopping 13 fibroids! He told me it would take me 2 weeks to recover at home and I was already making progress prior to that while following his instructions. So, if you are scared, see Dr. Lizardo and you wont regret it as you will be in good hands.

I can not be any more pleased with Dr. Lizardo. When we scheduled my laproscopic hysterectomy I was in the middle of a stressful season that resulted in a cross country move 2 weeks after my surgery. If it wasnt for the services of Calital Womens Care and Dr. Lizardos skill and quidance, I would never have managed the move. I so value Dr. Lizardo that I will miss having him as my GYN moving forward into menopause. *LONG REVIEW ALERT* I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids and one of them was very large, about the size of a 4 month fetus. I was referred to Dr. Lizardo from a different doctor because I expressed my desire to retain my uterus and the ability to one day have children. However, I wanted this with the least evasive procedure, preferably not the c-section cut. I was previously told that it was so large that probably wouldnt be possible. Until I saw Dr. Lizardo! Our very first appointment he explained to me in detail what the report meant, what procedure he was able to perform, and the potential future of my reproductive health. He was very confident that he could take my case and he would take good care of me. I was happy with the appointment and anxious to get the procedure done. However, I was still really nervous because Dr. Lizardo did confirm that one of my fibroids was particularly large. I seeked a second opinion with Dr. Rupen Baxi since he came highly recommended from a close friend of mine. God is so good because I was able to see two best of the best OBGYNs about my fibroids. I told Dr. Baxi I was there for a second opinion and explained that I was currently under care of Dr. Lizardo. He understood me wanting a 2nd and opinion and took the time to walk me thru my results and procedures. He also informed me that he knew Dr. Lizardo professionally only, but per his professional opinion, I was in good hands. Not only for the procedure but for after care and that Dr. Lizardo is an overall good human being. He mentioned he would feel comfortable sending his own family members to Dr. Lizardo. My 2nd opinion appointment helped to confirm that Dr. Lizardo was going to be my surgeon! Fast forward to my surgery week, I met with Dr. Lizardo a few days before my surgery and he made me feel even more comfortable about my care plan. The surgery was a major success and he was able to remove all of my fibroids including the large one and preserve my uterus via the da Vinci assisted laparoscopic myomectomy, leaving me with no c-section cut, just two very small incisions on each side of my belly and a cut in my belly button! Post-op was actually pretty amazing, I thought I would be down and out for several weeks but that was not the case at all. I was able to move around after a few days and the healing process is underway as I am writing this review just 9 days post-op. Im so happy with my decision to have Dr. Lizardo perform my procedure. Thank you Dr. Lizardo you are the best!!

DR. Lizardo performed my first surgery. The time that he took to answer every irrelevant question, made me feel comfortable every step of the way. Dr. Lizardo is the best! He is blessed with an amazing gift and helps women like me with chronic endometriosis and other GYN issues from all over the world. For the past twenty years my previous gynecologists performed minor procedures but nothing really helped. Upon meeting Dr. Lizardo, he was confident that he could help me and gave me a plan of action. In March 2023, I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy. His pre-surgery and post-surgery action plans helped me recover quickly. I had minimal pain, no constipation or other issues that women typically have with this surgery. Dr. Lizardo was phenomenal to work with. He did my fibroid surgery, and everything before, during, and after the surgery went great. When I had a minor concern during recovery, he called me personally to make sure I was ok. He is a very gifted surgeon and he also has great patient care. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Lizardo is an exceptional doctor and communicates well. He is very personable and has a lot of experience. I did extensive research on him before flying home to Maryland from Taipei to treat my fibroids. Since I benefited from other reviews, I am sharing my recent experience with others who may also need to go through the procedure since it is scary whenever going in for surgery. I went home the same day as the surgery and felt better after 2-3 days and healthy enough to fly home the following week. The flight was 23 hours. And I was back at work almost immediately.The procedure in some countries would not be an outpatient and would take significant longer time to recover based on the method used. The robotic surgery leaves fewer scares and shorter recovery time. The only bad thing is that his appointments are a bit more challenging to secure.The staff was nice, professional, and responsive. Overall a great experience.

Dr. Lizardo was one of five doctors that I consulted with before making a final decision on how to best treat my condition of uterine fibroids. He was the only doctor that was transparent, upfront and honest with me about my treatment options. I went through much to find the right surgeon for myself --From being offered unnecessary partial hysterectomies to other types of surgeries that I didn’t want because they would have left what I’d consider unattractive and unnecessary scars. I am not a woman who settles for less, so I knew there had to be a better way and a better surgeon for the job. Thankfully, I was patient and came across Dr. Lizardo. He is respectful, kind, gentle, and even humorous.He saved my uterus from an unnecessary hysterectomy. I had one small incision through my navel, which healed nicely, and I mostly returned to my living my best life in about two weeks with my uterus still in place.I strongly recommend Dr. Lizardo. In my opinion, he is one of the best.

Dr. Lizardo is an absolutely terrific doctor and surgeon. He performed my hysterectomy after my doctor referred me and said he was a top notch surgeon. He was! My surgery went so smoothly as did my recovery. Dr. Lizardo was so patient and answered all my questions without rushing me or making me feel iId asked a dumb question. I was really anxious about having surgery, but he has a wonderful, calming personality that put me at ease. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Lizardo is absolutely the best Gynecologist in the DMV area. Its so important to be able to trust your doctor, and I 100% trust Dr. Lizardo with no questions asked. Over time my cycles started to get very heavy especially since I had my IUD removed and it drastically changed the quality of my life. I developed Anemia, every month I would loose more blood than I was able to produce. During one of my doctors appointments It was discovered that I had fibroids and we decided to proceed with the surgery to have them removed and that was three months ago. Now I can confidently give my review. Since my surgery the quality of my life has improved! I am no longer Anemic and my cycles are perfect. I totally forgot what it felt like to just have a normal cycle. The scar from my surgery has pretty much disappeared. Dr. Lizardo and his team at the surgery center took excellent care of me, I am just so thankful for such an positive experience.

I wish I could give 50 stars, but Google Reviews only allows for 5 so here goes...I live in Canada and had a problem with VERY large fibroids for many years…the largest one being over 20 centimetres. I basically looked very pregnant. Every gyno I went to see wanted to either give me a total hysterectomy or do an open surgery which would require a large vertical incision. In addition to that, there are obscenely long wait times to get treatment.My research on fibroids led me to discover Dr Lizardo and after having a virtual consultation with him, I knew that he was going to be my surgeon. He offered me a minimally invasive solution that would require a small 2 inch incision in the navel. He was not only able to remove all of the fibroids and save my womb, but you could not even tell I had surgery!!! He also removed my umbilical hernia which was infected, and reconstructed my belly button.My navel area is still healing, but I do not have huge surgical scars. In addition to that, I was up and walking the next day - even went to the mall with my travel companion!!! The pain was minimal…I didn’t even need to take the Oxycodone he gave me. I used mostly over the counter meds to deal with the mild cramping as well as gas pain.My friend that I travelled with had reservations about me going to another country for a major surgery - but all that changed once she saw the quick recovery and tiny incision site. I was not surprised though, because I knew Dr Lizardo was not only highly skilled but someone I could trust - the lack of empathy that I’ve seen by other doctors I’ve met with is quite scary…but I knew from the start that I was in good hands.There was a lot of stress co-ordinating this trip, dealing with our Canadian healthcare system, as well as the anxiety around what would be my first ever surgery - but let me tell you it was ALL worth it.Dr Lizardo, you are truly a gem! After originally being diagnosed with several large uterine fibroids I was informed by a previous provider that a much more invasive abdominal myomectomy was required to remove my fibroids due to their size and quantity. However, fortunately a close friend referred me to Dr. Lizardo for a second opinion. Dr. Lizardo’s professionalism, compassion and expertise are unmatched. He successfully removed my fibroids with a much less invasive laparoscopic myomectomy and my surgery and healing went smoothly. Phenomenal doctor & surgeon! Dr. Lizardo helped me on my journey that I have been battling for a few years. It was my first surgery and I felt warm and welcomed, my recovery journey was also amazing , his staff members checked on me on all channels of communication even via text message! I wish he was my regular physician that is how great he is!

Dr. Lizardo performed a laparoscopic ovarian cyst removal for me in July, 2 months after I had delivered my baby. Although hes not my regular OB, hes part of the same clinic that I go to (Capital Womens Care) and I ended up doing the surgery with him because of scheduling. He was very helpful pre-surgery in describing the procedure, risks, side effects of anesthesia etc, keeping in mind the fact that I am still nursing and have a newborn at home. We did all our pre-surgery conversations via telemedicine, which worked out well. The day of the surgery he made me feel comfortable as well by answering all my Qs. Post-surgery we had another virtual consult to check on my stitches and it went smoothly. Overall I highly recommend Dr Lizardo!

I’m so grateful to have found and met Dr. Randy Lizardo. I never thought I would be able to remove my huge fibroids laparoscopically but he assured me that it was possible and could be done, and he definitely was able to accomplish that for me. After being diagnosed with fibroids in 2013, I had resigned to just managing my fibroids after years of being advised that unless my fibroids were causing me pain, that I should just leave them be. It had not occurred to me that they would be the source of other difficulties well beyond pain for years to come, and ultimately in 2021, I became severely anemic, and had to get on a schedule of 3-months visits with a hematologist, for blood work and the potential of an iron infusion each time. This was absolutely not going to be my life, and so I decided to follow new advice and went for a consultation with Dr. Lizardo. His warm energy and his ability to present removal options along with a clear plan forward told me everything I needed to know!! I knew I was in great hands, and I truly remained so all the way to my robotics assisted Myomectomy, and beyond! Dr. Lizardo goes above and beyond putting patients first.I felt unexpected pain after my myomectomy surgery and reached out to Dr. Lizardo, who saw me promptly. He didnt downplay my pain, which came belatedly after the procedure, but assessed the situation and gave a medical diagnosis based on my symptoms. He also ran additional tests to confirm it wasnt something more serious. His explanation and treatment recommendation were helpful and reasonable.Dr. Lizardos first concern was my well-being. I was referred to Dr. Randy Lizardo, by Dr. Kenneth Blank of the Capital Women’s Care ob/gyn practice. Dr. Blank has been my gyn doctor for a decade, plus! I trusted his recommendation! I’ve had heavy cycles, horrible cramps and misery due to a number of large fibroids. I’ve had a few hysteroscopy procedures to cut them down, or have them shaved, but they would still grow back and cause worse discomfort.I’m happy to say, that after seeing Dr. Lizardo and a successful Lapro-myomectomy , my fibroids are gone, and my cycles are normal. 4 days tops, and a regular flow. Dr. Lizardo is an extremely gifted surgeon. I was referred to Dr. Lizardo from my Ob/GYN Dr. John Gschwend who is excellent as well. He assured me I would be in good hands for my extensive fibroid surgery and I was! What we thought would be one type of surgery morphed into something more serious and he not only rolled with the curve balls but delivered a home run. I am looking to go through IVF and I can continue on that path because of Dr. Lizardos brilliance. On a more personal note, I find his philosophy to be refreshing and contemporary. His cutting edge approach makes him a veritable rock star!!!

Dr. Randolph Lizardo is hands down the best OBGYN ever! I have been going to him for over 10 years. Dr. Rudolph Lizardo OB-GYN surgeon he is one of the most phenomenal compassionate ive ever experienced he did surgery on July 20th 2018 which I came in terrified he made me feel so comfortable that I didnt realize that I was even getting surgery he is easy to talk you he also is explains to you every step that made me feel so comfortable. Once he was finished he left me in the hand with the best recovery team ever at Holy Cross Hospital. I recommend dr. Rudolph Lizardo for all your OB-GYN needs. Great doctor I give him 👍👍👍s up.

I cant imagine going to anyone other than Dr. Lizardo for my OB/GYN needs. Hes genuinely kind and really listens to your concerns. He instantly makes you feel comfortable with his positive personality and jokes, and does his best to provide all the help he can. I have a lot of reproductive issues, and Dr. Lizardo (along with the wonderful Dr. Makhoul) successfully performed a surgery on me that another surgeon could not complete a few years ago. He is amazing, and Im grateful for his care.

Dr. Lizards is amazing ! I don’t trust anyone else but him! He’s always so excited to see me and makes sure that I am comfortable and happy when I leave my appointments. If I could shout it from the roof top I would.I was referred to Dr. Lizardo by my OBGYN and her words were “he is the best”. When I called to make an appointment, he had a long wait time but the receptionist told me, “you should wait for him, he is the best”. When I was scared at the hospital the anesthesiologist said“ if I needed surgery I would want Dr. Lizardo to do it”.This is not to give false praise but Dr. Lizardo did a great job. His bed side manners alone would get him five stars. He is down to earth, upfront, and always ready with a smile or a laugh! His gregarious personality is contagious.Now let’s talk about the surgery. If you were to look at me 2 weeks after the myomectomy surgery you would not even know I had surgery. The laparoscopic incisions are so minor. My belly button was put back perfectly. I still have almost half of a bottle of pain medicine left because I did not need 2 weeks of pain meds. That’s how gentle he was.He truly is phenomenal!!

I dont typically write reviews, but believe in giving people their flowers while they are here. I am writing this review 5 months post op. This was intentional. I wanted to capture my full experience, from consultation, surgery, to recovery.I had a number of huge fibroids that I suffered from. I tried the Holistic route, but was not successful. My last resort was surgery. Ive never had surgery before. That said, I took advice from my family to make sure I picked a qualified doctor, but also someone I am comfortable with. Well that led me to consultations with 7 different doctors. I wanted to do my due diligence.I found the most renowned doctor in the DMV. Based on the reviews, people were flying across the country for this doctor. The doctor was known as the elite in the field. I had a consultation. It went ok. So I scheduled the surgery. However, I remembered the advice of making sure I am comfortable with the doctor. That, I cant say I was. I was just impressed by the reviews and his status. My gut told me, keep looking.As an African American woman, it is critical that we are advocates for our own health. Unfortunately, studies (and personal experiences) have shown that we do not get fair treatment. I realized that I was looking for a doctor who didnt see me as a patient, but a person. On my first consultation with Dr. Lizardo, I KNEW he was the one. He was sincere and genuine, but also cutting edge with his approach to surgeries. He even laughed at my corny jokes. And I laughed at his great ones. It didnt feel like a consultation at some points, but a friend giving great advice.Surgery day was a blur to be honest. The meds definately worked. Post surgery was a bit challenging. I did feel pain, but I did not need to take any pain medication. I discovered a slight fever on day 3. Dr. Lizardo was on a call with me right away to ensure I was ok. The following day, the fever broke.Now I am 5 months post op. The scar is only about am inch long. Impressive for the 8-9 fibroids that he had to remove. Largest was about 9cm.The only regret I have, is that I didnt do this surgery sooner. But divine timing is everything. I am happy that I waited for a doctor like Dr. Lizardo. He is a human being before a doctor. Something that is rare these days. The words thank you arent enough. So happy to have met you Dr. Lizardo. Your corniest, but loving patient. :)

I was having difficulties finding a good OB-GYN until I met Dr Lizardo. He is not only very smart and knowledgeable, he is polite and listens to his patients. He ensures that you are a team when it comes to your health. He follows up post- operatively closely and is available for any questions or concerns you may have.I am glad that I found Dr Lizardo.

I don’t think I ever been so comfortable with a doctor until I met Dr. Lizardo! From my very first consultation all the way down to my very last appointment with him was nothing short of pleasant. He performed my myomectomy(fibroid removal) and as scared as I was, the procedure and my recovery wasn’t half as bad as I imagined It would be. He and staff took care of me and they too were surprised at how functional I was immediately after the procedure. I can write a book on my experience but I will definitely recommend his practice to anyone who is suffering from fibroids or even just need a gyn. Appointments are quick and you’re never sitting too long in the waiting area. Thank you team for doing a wonderful job!

Hands down the best Gyn I have ever seen. Very attentive to your needs and situation. I have been to many doctors previously and they never listened to my complaints they down played what my issues were. Dr. Lizardo listened and took action. I was in a route to have a major surgery to remove my fibroids and he contacted me, to suggest an alternative.During the office visit (which is very lovely) everyone was friendly. Dr.Lizardo is the best! He really does take the time to explain everything you may have questions about. It is not easy to find a doctor who cares about their patients but Dr.Lizardo definitely cares.

Dr. Lizardo is amazing. I was referred to him by Dr. Pascale Duroseau my OB/GYN who is wonderful as well. My OB/GYN told me that Dr. Randy is an expect in removing big fibroids. I was seen by Dr. Randi Lizardo from the office in Silver Spring. Hes a great OBGYN! He performed my fibroid surgery using the davinci method. My surgery which was more complicated than most fibroid surgeries because of scar tissue and low blood count but because of Dr Lizardos skills and advice my surgery was a success. I went back to work within 2 and half weeks. I highly recommend him for any woman looking for a new gyn doctor.

Excellent Doctor!!! Hes more than an OBGYN. Ive been seeing an Otolaryngologists (Ear Nose Throat Specialist) for the last 4 or more years with a problem Ive been having with my throat. I would cough every time when I sing at a certain pitch. In May 2018, this Specialist performed a scope procedure and there were no findings other than tenderness in the area and sinus. For years I thought my problem was sinuses. On March 2019, I went to Dr. Lizardo for my yearly checkup. He examined around my throat area and found were I had multiple cyst. He sent me to have a CT scan. To make a long story short, the result is that I have Stage 3 Thyroid Cancer. Surgery and Radioactive Iodine Treatment was performed. Now Im recovering. I have Dr. Lizardo to thank for a job well beyond his duty. Ladies if you have any problems, go see Dr. Lizardo. Thank you and will see him again in 2020!

It is very difficult to get in touch with anyone over the phone. They much prefer you use a portal which doesnt always function and which delays any questions being answered. The staff seems competent enough and appointments are quickly seen. However, the dearth of communication can be frustrating for a woman going through her first pregnancy. The appointments tend to be hurried and so there is little time for questions to be answered. I tried to have them call a bakery with the gender of my baby for a surprise for my husband and myself but they were too busy.

Was excellent. I got there late cause it was raining and traffic was heavy but as soon as I got there, I was taken in to see the doctor. Staff is extremely friendly. And the doctor was extremely nice. I definitely look forward to going there more often.
