Planned Parenthood - San Pedro

I recently visited Planned Parenthood and was impressed by how clean and well-maintained the facility was. From the waiting room to the exam areas, everything was spotless and organized, which created a comfortable and professional atmosphere. The attention to cleanliness made me feel safe and well cared for. Kudos to the staff for maintaining such high standards!

I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t have to come here for any prescriptions or follow ups before i made this review. I am very upset about a appointment i had last month. I felt rushed out the door and i felt like i was not being fully listened to about my health concerns. The nurse was nice all throughout my appointment but she never took my blood pressure. I didn’t think twice about that until i got an email after my appointment that was just going over what was done for me and it said she DID take my blood pressure and it was apparently slightly elevated. I am a somewhat bigger woman so this already put me off. The doctor who saw me left me confused and still with a lot of questions but she was already up from her chair and near the door to leave. I called and spoke to i think a general manager and she told me the nurse and doctor alleged that they did take my blood pressure and that they tried to stop me from leaving to give me a pamphlet on high blood pressure. No one tried to stop me. I was even in the parking lot with my partner for almost 3 minutes. The doctor was even chatting up with the nurse while i was checking out and not once looked or said anything to me.The receptionist was very nice all throughout. This was my first time going to a planned parenthood and it was a very bad experience. I do not recommend coming to this location.

The staff made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions and concerns. I definitely recommend for any woman to come here. They really took care of me and went through all the steps to make me feel as comfortable as possible. This visit really lifted a huge weight off my shoulders and im very grateful.

Cristina was my physician, and she was such a wonderful lady. She took her time and listened to me. Im usually full of nerves near doctors, but her calm and sweet attitude completely took away everything. Such a great doctor and the receptionists and nurse that took my intake were also super super nice. Best pp in San Antonio

I just went for my appointment today that I easily scheduled 2 days ago online. I could not have been happier with my visit. The staff was genuine and really helpful!! The doctor was amazing and everyone made me feel welcomed. I highly recommend this location.

I visited this location a week ago and had a pleasant experience. The individual who examined me was nice and courteous. I waiting about an hour before I was seen which I thought was reasonable considering the wait time Ive experienced at different places. The staff member at the registration area had a nonchalant attitude but that didnt bother me.The location is kind of tucked away but not impossible to find. They have pretty good parking. The outside area and inside of the building is very clean which is always nice.Overall I will visit this location again!

I’ve been here twice, and had the same doctor both times. She was pretty rude and judgemental, didn’t hear my concerns (or maybe just didn’t listen) and gave me tests I didn’t need when she should’ve been checking for things I was actually concerned about. Here I am dealing with extremely painful endo for over a year because the doctor at this facility couldn’t be bothered to do more than a pregnancy tests, something I could’ve done at home and not paid $50 for.

They are very friendly, kind and attentive. They make you feel comfortable. I was extremely nervous. Im so grateful for making me feel at ease. Truly can feel how caring they are. The place was clean, they are careful to keep thing covid-19 safe. Thank you!

My experience with Plan Parenthood has been truly wonderful. Since I was a college student to now as an adult I trust my care with Plan Parenthood. I get my female health and wellness check up and feel confident that I am getting the BEST patient care. The staff made me feel very comfortable and answer any questions I had about my health. I also want to truly thank my nurse, Mrs. Rachel C. Olsson, for being so kind, patient, and being very professional. Thank you for Always making sure my female health is Important.

The lady who answered the phone was very kind and informative on what it would cost to meet with a provider about my mirena possibly being out of place. She said it would cost between $45 and $150 to meet with a provider to see if my iud is still in place.

I recently had to go to the marbach location for some imagining and boy oh boy did I not know how good I had it here at the san pedro location until I had to go somewhere elseStaff at this location is kind, courteous, patient and understanding from the moment you enter their doors to the second you leave. Theyre friendly, happy to answer any questions no matter how trivial and understand that trusting them with your reproductive health can be uncomfortable or frightening and do everything in their power to reassure you and keep you comfortableI highly recommend this location

Went here for transgender MtF hormone replacement therapy. Very nice people work there but if youre looking to transition (male to female) this place is not it. Theyre still following the UCSF guidelines which are outdated. I asked for bicalutamide which is far more safer and potent than spironolactone and was flat out turned down. And to top it off they prescribed me 1mg of estradiol daily. Thats nothing. Its good to start small yes, but any specialist in transgender healthcare wont even do that little for that long. Find a specialist/doctor you can confide in that actually knows what theyre doing to maximize your progress, because what Planned Parenthood does will hinder your transition in the long run. I use Braeswood Endocrinology in Houston and have been satisfied because they listen to your concerns, will work with you, and are knowledgeable in trans healthcare. I only have to see them in person once a year too.

Please look elsewhere when it comes to your health. The doctors here are horrible. I came here for a simple iud removal and the doctor tried to remove it ( hurt me) couldn’t do it and said I’d have to go to the HOSPITAL to get it removed by surgery so I went to another health clinic and they took it out with no issues. !!

I have been repeatedly hung up on. I called at 5:30. After 42 minutes someone answered. She was very rude and then left me on hold for another 50 minutes until they closed and they hung up on me. I have been calling for days now and I honestly am not sure how youre supposed to make an appointment considering the website has incorrect dates for appointments and information. I was on hold for an hour and half and I guess Im just gonna have to go around everywhere until someone can help me

Had a very very pleasant experience these women are professional and easy to talk to about any and all issues you are having. Would really recommend coming here to anyone not sure about the facility.

Good community work, however it isn’t as enjoyable when the manager (I believe her name was Dahlia) isn’t a pleasant or polite person. The organization doesn’t need germs like her in their system.

Ive only come to this location to pick up refills for my birth control but this is my go to location. A nicer facility than some others, income based if you need it, and the woman whos usually at the front desk is so nice and helpful.

Horrible experience. Made a telehealth appt for 1pm, waited on the computer for 1.5 hours and no one came. Then tried to call to see what went wrong and was on hold for 30 mins and no one answered. Never use this office.

I always feel some comfortable here, they have helped me so much! The ladies are so nice I cant thank them enough for everything

Let me first say am a transgender female and was looking for a new place to go and get my hormones and i have to say am so happy i did the staff was so sweet and i never got missed gender i would so recommend to anyone i know

Great dr , amazing staff , in & out make you feel really comfortable very great location !

Made an appointment for 3:15pm and waited over 2 hours to be seen and waited and hour and a half in the waiting room.

Super friendly staff, clean exam rooms, and the wait is usually pretty short.

My favorite location, they are very understanding and helpful.

The truth is I had a very bad experience, the ladies who are at the window were very rude because I didnt speak English, I just wanted them to check me out, it didnt matter what they charged me, she thought that because I didnt have insurance, I didnt have the money to pay them, the truth is, they behaved very rasist.However, the doctor was very kind to me.
