When I first came to CA IVF, I was guarded, I was angry, I was heartbroken and I was grieving. I had a “Been there/done that” attitude and quite frankly so devastated that here I was, once again, in an IVF clinic. In January of 2024 we lost our second and final embryo from our first IVF cycle that took place out of state. My husband and I talked about the pros and cons of traveling out of state to a clinic and doctors we trusted. Our level of care and treatment with our first experience was a 10/10 so how could anything else compare? When all factors were accounted for, we decided to meet with Dr. King for a consultation because it seemed like the logical choice versus traveling out of state to start from scratch. I’m sure we were not the easiest patients. After all, we were already experts on this process. To make a long story short, I can safely say that trusting Dr. King was the best decision our family could have made. He reviewed my past medical records in depth and knew every detail of what was done during my prior treatment. He recommended several changes and was able to explain exactly why he felt as though it was appropriate. Whether it was from new research, or personal experience with patients, Dr. King was presented me with his expert opinion, and allowed me to decided what I felt would be best.I faithfully followed every one of Dr. Kings recommendations, and ended up challenging nearly every statistic for a 40-year-old woman! My egg retrievals were 3 ½ years apart, yet my results were substantially better with the care and treatment I got through CA IVF.Yesterday we got to hear the heartbeat of our little miracle baby. I know we still have a long road before we get to hold and love on this sweet baby, but we are here now, feeling blessed and so very hopeful because of you Dr. King. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.Alicia

Please do not go to this fertility center. I am a veteran and the VA offered this location for a sooner appointment. My husband and I were working on our fertility for five years. at first everyone was nice. Orientation appointment was very informational and very promising. The first appointment and the first round was unsuccessful. And we continue to go for another three rounds that were also unsuccessful. Towards the last appointment, the staff was very rude and employees on the phone would not be understanding of peoples time and energy for this experience. I personally felt like they used my insurance money and was not doing the work right.I had set appointments, but when I would arrive to the facility, it was always running late. at one point I waited an hour and a half to be seen for five minute check up. I was very upset. I felt unvalued, and that was the turning point that I felt like this company only will use you for your money.A year later, I went to Northern California fertility Center, and had a night and day difference in experience. Most of the staff understand what it takes to go through fertility process and have so much compassion. Later I learned that California IVF fertility Center was inseminating me with immature follicles. Northern California fertility Center was able to get us on the first try with the successful pregnancy. I am so happy to have my healthy baby girl. This fertility center is a scam and will not respect your time and energy.

I was planning to leave a review at the very end of my journey, but after my transfer today, I didn’t want to wait. I am honestly very shocked at some of the negative reviews I’ve read. To be honest, it gave me a little pause when deciding to go with this clinic, but I’m so so happy we gave it a chance and went here. This entire process has been so easy and smooth. They provide great educational classes that far exceed other nearby clinics, and I appreciate the depth of detail they provide.Dr. King and his team have been absolutely amazing every step of the way. I can’t say enough good things about them. Even if this transfer doesn’t take, it wouldn’t change my opinion of him or the team. I am so happy with the care he has provided that I wish he could be my OB through the rest of our journey. I highly recommend him.Update: my transfer worked first attempt! I’m so grateful for the staff and all the work they do.

I am highly disappointed in California IVF specifically their billing department. I called to inquire about another round of IVF treatment back in January, the receptionist informed me they would get back to me once the confirmed my insurance coverage. Since then, I have left numerous voice messages and sent countless emails inquiring about my insurance coverage and IVF treatment - six months later, I have gotten ZERO response. Not a single call back or email acknowledging my inquiry. Considering I am a woman of a particular age, I don’t have the luxury of waiting months to get a response. This thoughtless and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable for any healthcare provider. This place clearly doesn’t care about their patients.

Absolutely incredible staff, the kindness and thoughtfulness of each and every individual person was so sincere. After trying for years, two miscarriages and one ectopic pregnancy, my dreams of having a child was gone. Dr. Zeringue is the best Doctor for the job. My first time doing IVF and I am pregnant. Its all thanks to the wonderful team at California IVF. The entire process was smooth and stress-free. I 100% recommend Dr. Zeringue and his team for your IVF experience.

Very high turnover with staff has led to huge administrative problems. Each time staff changes (18 months or so) we have problems. We fully paid upon starting the procedures, yet they continue to have problems. What was once a pleasant experience has turned into very bad memories.Avoid this company if you are looking for long-term peace and joy. Their office staff turnover has caused huge problems over the last 10 years.

My husband and I started California IVF in August 2019. We jumped right into our first cycle in September 2019, which unfortunately did not work. We experienced many medical setbacks and even required surgery. Dr. Z and my nurse Samantha S were very supportive during this time. Dr. Z did a great job informing us of our options and he even did my surgery. In January of 2020 we started our second cycle and we are now 7 weeks pregnant!! We just had our ultrasound with California IVF and were expecting TWINS! :) (We transferred 2 embryos). Were beyond excited and blessed. My husband and I are so grateful for everyone at Cali IVF especially our nurse Samantha S and Dr. Zeringue! They were very supportive during the ups and downs of our journey which led to a successful cycle! They truly care about their patients success and become like family. They gave us clear and honest expectations as well as how to save on medications. We cant thank them enough for helping to give our family this blessing. Due November 2020! :)

My husband and I were referred to California IVF after experiencing several years of infertility. The team was excellent to us, working with our schedules to get us in ASAP and answering the many questions we had about the process. Dr. Zeringue is an absolute professional and was able to maximize our odds of success using cutting edge research and practices, which I really appreciated given the cost and stress of the whole process! While we’ve recently graduated from their program we’d definitely go back to California IVF in the future!

When the David Grant Medical Center’s obstetrician referred us to this IVF center and told that we’d have to pay out of pocket, (albeit there was a military discount) we needed a little bit more time to think about it before we were willing to make the commitment, and factor in the costs in our budget. About a year later, with two attempts and over $30K in medical costs later, my wife is now 10 weeks pregnant and it’s all thanks to Dr. Zeringue and his staff.I’ll have to admit, after the first attempt and failure, I was a bit pissed about the whole situation. Even though I was briefed multiple times that it was not a guarantee, and all they could do was increase the chances of conception, I ran through my head the times where I thought they could have done better. Maybe it had something to do with the countless drugs that wife had to take which made her hormonally crazy. Again, I was told about this, but I never expected this wild a reaction. To go through all that, at the same time taking out loans to pay for this procedure, only to come out of it with nothing? That didn’t sit well with me, or my wife. It took me a while to come to terms with the fact that at the end of this whole ordeal, we all gambled, and we lost. Was I willing to go through that whole mess again? So, we decided to go through that whole mess again, except this time, the protocols were changed, the medication was reduced, and an additional referral was made to a fertility acupuncture center, of which the cost was also not covered by my insurance. If I were 10 years younger, or even 5 years, I probably would have called the whole thing off, despite the protests of my wife. Whether it was my wife’s persuasive pleas fueled by her ticking biological clock, along with my susceptibility to persuasion due to my paternal biological clock ticking (is that a thing?), I figured why not? I refinanced my old load and made the 2nd attempt. (although would you still call it refinancing if its to increase the amount of the loan?)On the medical side, we had the aid of Dr. Zeringue, Dr. Goud, Linda-our RN case worker, Samantha & Myra-two of the many California IVF medical assistants (I’m pretty sure others helped, but those two are the only ones whose names I remember) (sorry everybody else who I hypothetically believe will read this review). On the holistic side, we had the Acupuncture Fertility Specialist who I will talk about in another review. With this village of a team, we were finally able to produce an 8-week baby. We are in our 10th week now and glad I made the decisions I made. Thanks to California IVF, this was possible, and they have earned my utmost and forever gratitude.

We came to California IVF after trying a similar place in Roseville Ca. Friends have had success here. Our situation was very different. We are a middle age couple with unique challenges at natural conception. They pointed out the challenges and recommended IVF over any of the more affordable & less invasive procedures. We were not surprised, however the customer service was god awful. Poorest communication Ive ever received in any office. Did not make me feel comfortable that they could handle the procedure. Loved the doctor but the staff never answered questions, left us in the dark in our time of need, rushed us through all visits, passed us around when they even spoke with us at all, never gave straight answers about the process or the cost or our unique physical challenges. I feel they are looking for the easy patients with the deepest pockets. One staff member even gave the answer that most clients are so desperate to get started, the price and process is not important to them. Wow! We like to plan ahead and feel confident with our doctors and caregivers. Keep looking if you are a more challenged partner. Good luck!

Do not use this fertility clinic if you are queer, a single woman over 30 or any person looking for a warm & thoughtful experience. im a 40 year old queer butch latina and i went to this in the early stages of my parenthood journey.first of all, my doctor was a joyless elderly doctor who believed himself to be the authority on my body. He immediately began pushing me towards IVF at $35k a pop and said that at 39, my eggs were basically borderline useless. The intrauterine exam he gave me, with a nurse present, was also very depressing and he made comments on how worthless my eggs were. All this when I came in full of hope and excitement. All he wanted to do was push me to IVF and make me spend thousands of thousands of dollars. He didnt listen at all and actually made me feel like i was stupid for thinking i could conceive without some medical/technological miracle.i hated the energy. i hated his attitude so i left and never looked back. i found female midwives & queer doulas who uplifted my body and my age. who didnt doubt that i could conceive. and i found doctors who affirmed that my eggs were perfect & full of life.i found a supportive donor and got pregnant THE FIRST TIME we tried insemination. my midwife, my partner and my donor were all so joyful and full of care.my healthy gorgeous beautiful baby is 8 months old and im so glad i followed my heart.the only plus about this place is that the front desk staff are super kind. they should be the ones in charge of the care tbh.find a midwife, a doula, someone else besides the doctors at this dreary money grubbing place.

I highly recommend California IVF for fertility preservation, the doctors, nurses, embryologists, and staff are all wonderful and caring people.I came to California IVF because I am in my mid-thirties and am still not in a place where having a child right now makes sense, and I am hoping to increase my chances of having a child in the next few years. This was a difficult decision for me, both emotionally and financially, but everyone at California IVF worked with me to help me make the right decisions for my situation. I opted to try for two cycles, the first to freeze eggs and the second to freeze embryos. Unfortunately, I had a very difficult time with anesthesia in the first round and was terrified of having similar issues the second time. Dr. Zeringue and my coordinator Katie worked with me to find an alternative approach, despite the fact that I proved to be a very difficult and emotional patient. The traits I have always appreciated most in doctors are compassion, patience, willingness to explain the medical situation, and dedication. Dr. Zeringue has all of these traits in spades. I can rest easy knowing that Ive received the best care possible, and that choosing California IVF for fertility preservation was the right call to have the best chance of having a child in a few years when I am ready.

Wonderful experience all around! I had the guarantee but was successful on the first try. I have heard complaints about the coordinators, but I never experienced them myself. They were responsive and caring at every turn. The doctors and embryologists at CC have built a program that really works, and most women are successful in bringing home their baby (or babies!) I may be biased, but I also think that CC makes exceptionally cute babies. Good luck to all on this journey.

We had a disappointing result which could be seen as bias. But honestly we found the staff kind and responsive. But early on in our treatment we were handed off a second doctor. We had discussed our treatment plan with another doctor. This gave us a bad feeling right off. We were told their recommendation was to do frozen embryo transfers as they had better success. That doesnt seem to be true. Now we are post treatment and we wanted to have a meeting with the doctor to discuss options. We were given a 30 minute appointment right before lunch. We felt abandoned which compounded our sadness. Further research showed us this clinic has 0% success rate with our age group. 😞

Let me start off by saying that going through the infertility process is NEVER easy. Being told IVF is likely the only way we would be able to conceive puts all sorts of worries in your head, almost a panic type situation...at least for me. All that being said, the staff at Cal IVF were nothing short of amazing at helping us through this difficult process. We tried 2 less-invasive procedures of IUI since it was covered with our insurance, with no success. So we moved forward with IVF, with ICSI and genetic testing on the embryos. It was expensive, but its hard to put a price tag on having a family. We ended up with 6 good embryos after the testing was complete. We did one frozen embryo transfer, and we were pregnant! We have a beautiful 2 year old daughter and now...another frozen embryo transfer later...were almost 11 weeks pregnant with baby #2. Two tries and two pregnancies. Id say thats pretty good results! The second round didnt quite go as planned with my bodys response to the medications (uterine lining), but we tried another cycle of medications and went for it anyways. Im so glad we did. Dr. Zeringue was absolutely amazing at going over recent studies to help ease my concern about moving forward with a lining slightly thinner than the preferred (7mm vs standard of 8mm). He also went over other alternatives to the traditional method such as allowing my body to produce the hormones with my natural cycle. I had concerns with bleeding after the positive blood test. This is pretty common with ivf, and I knew that, but they still humored me and did an early ultrasound to make sure everything looked ok. I always had quick responses to my phone calls and emails...and believe me there was no shortage of questions coming at them. Linda, Samantha, and Dr. Zeringue were incredibly kind, attentive, and very compassionate (Dr. Z is quick with the tissue box!). I would HIGHLY recommend them to any of my friends and family!

We absolutely love this office and the staff. Dr. Goud was great and really took the time to listen to our worries and fears. We had been on this fertility journey for almost 5 years prior to coming here with no success, Dr. Goud made our dream come true on our first try. Our baby girl is now 6 months old and we will be back soon after she turns one to try for baby number two with the some of the remaining embryos we have. Also all the staff we have worked with at Dr. Gouds office have been incredible and always remembered us by our names every time we went in which I thought was great and made us feel welcome each and every time. I highly recommend going elsewhere. I was truly disappointed and discouraged from ever donating again. Their front office staff and a handful of employees are extremely friendly. But the MOST DISCOURAGING part was how I felt after I donated. I didn’t do this for the money but simply to help other families get what they are wanting and having been trying to achieve for so long- a family. But I just felt so used and pushed aside, it wasn’t friendly just business. No follow up calls, no follow up visit after retrieval, nothing. Simply sign here and we have the right to resell your eggs to more than one recipient if we choose to. Many other complications that arise from that but that’s a whole other reason to find someplace that’s more personal to both the recipient and donor. Especially for procedures like this. I was given extra medication prior to retrieval which caused a lot of complications including severe bleeding. After retrieval you receive tax forms, sent to wrong address with all of my personal information including complete SSN, after had my complete address on file for over a year, tax form created incorrectly and had to pay increased taxes from the year prior. Just highly disappointed overall and discouraged from helping future families.

The staff is amazing, Linda was awesome. But after being told we should consider IVF and that we only had a 1% chance of getting pregnant on our own, Im happy to say dr gouds recommendation was not accurate since last seeing him, Ive had 1 son and another on the way. With 0 treatments. My gyno really thinks it was all the adhesions I had all over my ovaries and uterus, after my 1st cesection. It a simple procedure to get ride of all of that, but dr goud never mention any of that. He went straight to the expensive. We ended up doing 3 rounds of IUIs and they all failed, life got busy so we stopped and 6 months later I was pregnant it was amazing and then 2 years later Im pregnant again all on our own. And a year later I get this huge bill for 1800 after paying everything out of pocket. Im still arguing that. But just have faith dont think you need straight IVF. Doctors should rule out everything else before jumping so quickly to IVF. Like dang Ive been here 30min and you want me to spend 10ground already. Have faith, and do what yr gut tells you!

Im in the middle of my first cycle and will be doing my transfer next wk. Im super excited and so grateful I found this very reasonable alternative to using live donor eggs (a $50k process once you include cost of sperm, a try fees, meds and transfer) or frozen eggs (also not cheap cooking in at $30k after adding sperm, meds and transfer). And both of those later options are the cost for 1 try vs CA Conceptions flat fee of $15k (+ cost of meds) for up to 3 tries (thats not the cost per try, thats the total cost whether you fixed on round one or you continue and do up to a total of 3 rounds max! At the free tour i asked point blank if being overweight would prevent them from assising my husband and I (some companies do this to keep their numbers artificially high). they told me that was not the case and pushed me to take the next step which was a $200 meeting with a doctor. At the meeting with the doctor he informed us that they wont help us while im overweight eventhough im in the healthy child bearing weight range. I belive this to be a total scam on the companys part. It is an extreme hardship on people dealing with an already emotional situation.Edit in response to dr. Reply...Unfortunately none of this happen to apply to me at the time of my visit. I was 29 years old so I dont believe age was a factor. My blood sugar when tested was in the 90s so also not a factor. I was not simply told of the possibility of negative outcomes. I was told California IVF would not assist unless I lost 80+ lbs. I was about 225 at the time and I am 55 so extreme weight is a stretch to say the least. The fact is, had you told us this was the policy from the beginning when I asked directly it would have been different, but you pushed hard for us to move forward and pay more before you were honest about this policy. I truly hope based on your reply that this is no longer the case but I fear that it is.

Update (2 years later):DO NOT GO HERE. Doctor Gross should have his license taken away. I just found out last night that another woman was told to go straight to IVF when she was having trouble confirming her second child, that she should not bother trying anything else because her egg reserve was too low/damaged. He told me the SAME but I was lucky enough to change my insurance (again) and go back to my original fertility office where they we kind enough to let me try IUI and we got pregnant on the second round! My new friend was not so lucky, she didn’t get a second opinion and couldn’t afford IVF now she worries she’s too old to try for a second child! Don’t go here!!——————Terrible and disheartening experience with Dr. Gross. Do plenty of research before you let theses people tell you to head straight to ivf or talk you into a host of other unnecessary add ons. No, no, no! Our entire process was such a nightmare. Our coordinator read from scripts, despite the fact that shes been there for years, she always acted like she knew nothing. Perhaps thats been instructed by healthcare staff to not offer advice, but if I have a question, point me to someone who will actually answer. They are insanely disorganized, forcing you to resend documents over and over, badger them about correctly coordinating schedules, will schedule appts locally with labs on Saturdays or Sundays without checking a calendar. They do not support you in ANY way (forget emotional, I mean technical, processes, requirements). Youll waste money on travel changes and medications/supplies because of poor organization, which was very costly. There are private facebook pages that will teach you how to use medications, what terms mean, how to schedule, etc. But they also are CONSTANTLY filled with advice on how to get through to your coordinator or how TO MANAGE THEM. At the price we paid, we shouldnt have to do all the work we did. Even my husband had to get on the phone on numerous occasions and threaten to back out. They are friendly when youre standing there in person, but thats it. The coordinators are the ones who project the overall image of the company, and it was a baffling image. Our dr was friendly enough, didnt really go any extra miles, just came in, did his part and left. In fact, because of his poor communication with a local dr, I ended up getting a very painful, emotional, expensive and ultimately UNNECESSARY surgery before he would proceed. It wasnt until I learned much later that I found this out accidentally through an ultrasound tech.We got in at the 12,500 guarantee price. They would not have even been considered at the price theyre charging now, BUT do not be swayed by this guarantee. There are far more capable facilities who treat you with much more respect, care, and communication. We found them later unfortunately. Google top rated fertility centers. Theyre not top in the country or even in CA.Best example: We were given a positive pregnancy test 8 months ago. Since then, weve had no contact whatsoever. No, congratulations!, no, wish you luck, keep us posted, not even so much as a thank you for your business, this concludes our services. Theyve got their money, Im no longer bugging them, so theyre done with me. Very caring, right?I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Dont fall for the guarantee. Youll do better physically, emotionally and financially elsewhere.

This is not a hand-holding place, and the coordinators can be, er, quite uncoordinated. So there are often unnecessary headaches. You have to stay on top of them, and joining the secret Facebook group helps a lot. You also have to really advocate for yourself if you need anything beyond their standard protocol. If youre OK with all that, and are mentally prepared to accept its part of the price of a very successful program, it can be a great option. In the end we made it work and had success on our second try, and now we have the sweetest son I could ever imagine. Glad to still be a part of the Facebook community and see all the wonderful kids. We needed the security of the guarantee after so many years of heartache, so it made sense for us, but its different for everyone. Wishing luck to all.
