I requested an appointment with this Dr over 5 weeks ago to be seen for my pregnancy duration. I was told to send over my medical records which have been in this doctors hands for almost 4 weeks. I have heard NOTHING from this office as to setting up an appointment.Must be an answer to prayer. I prayed that if this wasnt the doctor that should take care of me & my baby during my pregnancy then dont let it happen. Good riddance!Very unprofessional to not even contact a patient though. A simple no I wont take you on as a patient is a respectable thing to do.

The absolute BEST experience of my life with any doctor. Dr. Harrison saved my life with emergency surgery recently that went beautifully. She has set me up quickly on a course of appointments with a highly revered specialist. She takes my pain and anxiety seriously and treats me with respect and trust.Dr. Harrison is by far the best Doctor I’ve ever had and I can’t recommend her highly enough.An absolute legend. If you’re looking for an OBGYN for any reason you want Dr. Harrison.

I’ve been with Dr Harrison since I was 15 I am now 26 and have had two healthy babies under her practice. She is truly an amazing Dr, she always attends to my needs and listens to me when I address a concern or have questions. And she doesn’t judge or you don’t feel her judging. I love her she’s amazing

Had a very positive experience with Dr Harrison. I consulted with her throughout my pregnancy. Her decision making was very quick when it came to changing course of action as and when required. Dr Harrison is a wonderful OBGYN. She was so supportive with me trying to achieve a VBAC with my second child. She was supportive the entire way, never mentioned a repeat c section, always kept me informed, gave me very good advice, never made me feel afraid, she is amazing and so smart. During labor she knew exactly what to do with my situation. I successfully had a VBAC, healthy labor and delivery, no issues and healthy baby. So grateful!!!!

Dr. Harrison is friendly and caring. She is listening to my wordings, my health. I recommend her as a wonderful OBGYN physician.

So I’ve never been charged for annual preventative care but neighbors beware, Seton took over Oakwood clinic (now called Ascension Medical Group Seton Women’s Health) and I asked Mary Beth Harrison a question during my annual visit and they billed it as a preventative care visit and a diagnostic visit (I would have to see my PCP for both questions now anyways) and charged my insurance $250 and now I have to pay $60. The billing dept said if you ask any questions related to bleeding, etc or anything else during the preventative, they will bill you! Ive asked the same questions to my old OBGYN without ever getting billed extra so Im just going to go back there but wanted people to be aware to be very careful what you ask at this office.

Dr. Harrison has been wonderful. I moved here 4 years ago and was recommended to her by my primary. She is easy to talk to, ask questions, etc. I highly recommend if you are looking for an OBGYN in Greater Austin area :)

We love Dr. Harrison!!! Her nurses are terrific too! She delivered my first and is about to deliver my second. She has always been informative, professional, and personable! She always answers all of our questions and we never feel rushed during our appointments, yet we never have to wait long to see her.Referring to one of the other reviews, there was a time that we thought my first may have been an ectopic pregnancy (we caught it very early), and Dr. Harrison was very quick to keep us updated, she approached it factually (which I appreciated), and was made herself available for any follow-up questions we had. I was a brand new patient during all of this and I felt well taken care of.I definitely lucked out in choosing Dr. Harrison when we moved to the area!

I will recommend Dr. Mary Harrison, shes an awesome Obgyn. She take care of me from the start of my pregnancy till I deliver my baby. Shes really on top of everything I need from all her recommendations, just to make sure that me and my baby is safe and healthy.

Dr Harrison was great, I was a new patient and I was very comfortable with her. She answered all of my questions and informed me how my appointment would play out today with testing and what not, along with my follow up appointment and how it would pan out. The staff was also nice, but they weren’t very friendly or informative (besides the girl that checked me in) as we did things throughout my appointment.

I’ve been seeing Dr Harrison for over five years and always leave impressed and fulfilled with the care that I receive from her and the staff. I never have a long wait and am almost always seen at the exact appointment time. It is clean and I feel like Dr Harrison is an excellent health care provider who always makes me feel heard.

Dr. Harrison is amazing. She listened to all of my concerns along with concerns my husband had from the very first appointment. She always respected our choices that we made during the pregnancy; as well as gave her opinion on things. If anything happened to my appointment her staff always called to let me know in a timely manner. During the birthing process she came in many times before baby arrived to check on me. Once it was time for her to deliver baby she remained calm even with me yelling at the very end. Dr. Harrison came into checkup on us until we left the hospital. Dr. Harrison kept a smile on her face and was very kind.

Doctor Harrison was very thorough. She made sure all of my needs were met. She answered all of my questions and was very informative. She did great at delivering my children a few years back which is why I requested her again. She is just a great doctor overall.

Dr. Harrison is very helpful. I saw her because my current Dr. wasn’t in the office. She made me feel like I was just seeing my regular Doctor, I did not feel out of place or uncomfortable at all. She was very thorough explaining the process of what we needed to do.

Very pleased with my visit with Dr. Harrison. As an elderly patient, sometimes we are disregarded as to health issues not seeming important anymore. I was a prior patient of a dr who moved away. The past 2 years I went elsewhere, but didnt like the facility or their billing practices so I decided to see Dr Harrison. My middle daughter goes to her and never changed facilities. Dr Harrison is very personable and made me feel very comfortable. She is definitely easy to talk to. Im glad I switched back!

Dr Harrison is always attentive, confident, and calming. However the doctors assistant that took my blood pressure and asked me the routine question at the beginning was short and passive with me. I wanted to refill my birth control a little earlier than usual just so I would have it when I left for school, but she reacted as if my needs were invalid. Doctors offices such as these need to be as comfortable as possible because my anxiety always goes up as soon as I go into that little room. I want to like this place because I like the doctor but it’s difficult when everyone else seems like they don’t want to be there.

I recently moved to Austin area and this was my first visit and I am delighted with my experience with Dr. Harrison. Dr. Harrison gave me all the time I needed and answered my questions and made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend her.

I’m assuming the positive reviews of Dr. Harrison come from people who’ve had her deliver their babies. I came to see her with my pregnancy because of these positive reviews. It turned out that during my first visit with her, the ultrasound technician found that my baby did not have a heartbeat, so it’s most likely a miscarriage. My guess is that Dr. Harrison doesn’t have much interest in patients who have miscarriages because they don’t bring in much money to her practice. Because she treated me like an object. She had zero empathy, no words of encouragement. She talked quickly, like she was afraid of spending too much time with me. My husband and I both sensed her marked detachment from me as a human being. I was lying awake in bed tonight trying to figure out which was worse—the actual situation of having a potentially unviable pregnancy or the inhuman treatment during this life event by Dr. Harrison—and I couldn’t figure out which felt like the more negative experience. I’m giving her two stars rather than one only because she seemed intelligent and professionally competent. But to go through a difficult experience and have your doctor treat you like a money-making object rather than a human being is truly depressing. Also, her staff managed to misspell my name four times during this one visit. That part was like a Jerry Seinfeld episode. I think this is probably the first Google review I’ve ever written. I felt compelled to balance out the good reviews of this doctor with the reality of my experience.

She is professional, and always kind. I had her my last pregnancy and she was amazing. I had to get another OB when she left for Maternity Leave and it was night and day. I cried after each visit and was glad she didnt deliver my baby. Harrison is the best!

Today was a rough day for me. I came to terms with having postpartum depression and while on my lunch break I called and asked for help. Dr. Harrison was the on call doctor when I was admitted into hospital for preeclampsia with my first baby that happened to be frank breached at 39 weeks. She was incredibly calming and patient as she walked me through my options and answered all my questions. My situation ultimately led me to have a csection 3 days prior to my scheduled csection date—but I am so thankful to have had Dr. Harrison, her knowledge, skills and down the earth bedside manner. I choose her to be my doctor with my second baby and throughout the entire pregnancy she was, again, calming, patient, very knowledgeable, and down to earth. Even though she was supportive of a VBAC or csection I chose to have another csection. I would recommend Dr Harrison to anyone because of her stellar care and her up-to-date knowledge.

Doctor Harrison was really great to talk to, I felt comfortable talking about things that are of an uncomfortable nature. She gave me great advise on daily help, was open to exploring all paths and set a plan of action that works for both of us.

Save yourself from the horror!!This is the first time ever I had to deal with such an ordeal where office don’t care for the patients. Absolutely horrible and rude staff. Save yourself and go somewhere else. If you are new to the area and can’t find the building. Don’t bother to even come here.. because only Karens sit here.

We had an unexpected 4th pregnancy. I called the office last Wednesday because I felt no longer pregnant. They got me in immediately. I should have been 10 weeks but the fetal doppler did not pick up a heartbeat. Dr. Harrison then got the portable and it also confirmed no heartbeat. She was kind and gentle. She walked me thru the back of the office to avoid the waiting area, and sat with me while the ultrasound tech confirmed I lost the baby. I feel the need to write this after I saw a review that someone wrote regarding their miscarriage experience. In no way did I feel like she had disinterest because I was not bringing money to the practice. We elected to have a d&c and I have to schedule a follow up in a few weeks. In this field, they often experience patients with miscarriages and while the patient has many emotions to sort out, I dont feel the Doctor should be looked at as someone who doesnt care.

I love Dr. Harrison! Not only is she focused and concerned about my reproductive health but all over health. Dr. Harrison actually listens to me about everything that’s going on with my health physical and mental. I’ve referred others to her and will continue. Couldn’t ask for better!

My appointment was set for 10:30am. I arrived at 10:25 and waited until 11:00am before going up to the front desk to ask why I had to wait so long. She tried calling my doctor and it went straight to voicemail. The receptionist then told me that I was probably next and should go sit back down and keep waiting. Another 10 minutes later, I was informed that my doctor was not even in today. The front desk staff didn’t know and allowed me to sign in (I told them the doctors name I was seeing) and I paid. After waiting almost an hour, I had to go home and reschedule for another day. What a big waste of time.

Dr Harrison has been my doctor for a long time. She is always patient and listens to my weird concerns. I don’t like that the office changed to a new system and lost all of my previous information. But the doctor made up for the offices unfortunate error.

Dr Harrison stepped in at last minute to take Dr Angers place due to illness. She was very compassionate and listened with full concern. Would recomend her to anyone who is in need of a caring Doctor .
