Urgent Care of Texas & Expecare Family Care Plano

I have been receiving care here for over 10 years. The staff is nice and doctors are extremely knowledgeable. When you come here, you are guaranteed treatment for your condition instead of spending the entire day at the ER not knowing if they’ll do anything at all. Would recommend to anyone

My son introduced me to this Urgent Care back in January of 2021. I keep on getting my care here because of the excellent staff: Syeda, at the front desk, Hamida, NP, Ayesha, MA. They are fabulous! They are courteous, caring, attentive, supportive and friendly.The physician assistant, Muhammad Arshad Bhalli is an excellent, knowledgeable, and caring professional. One of the most important things when you are ill and you go to visit a doctors office is that they listen to you, they sympathize and empathize, and not feel rushed; and believe me, they listen.At this point, I would not go anywhere else. Thank you to my son Danny for bringing me here when I was ill and thank you Urgent Care of Texas in Plano for your excellent service.

I decided to try coming here for primary care after the Coppell location closed a couple years ago and I continue to make the drive to Plano for this office. My experiences at this location with the staff and Dr. Bhalli have always been very positive. They really care about their patients and take time to listen and understand. Highly recommend!

Aisha is the best to communicate with and great at following up with you and your referrals. Dr. Muhammad is amazing at listening and very caring in his approach to diagnose problems. Did not sign d/c papers, receive a dx, or receive good instructions from Dr or nurse. Nurse said that he must have been really dehydrated because he received 2 bags of flds & was there for 3-4 hrs & did not urinate after flds given i.v.. Lab was drawn & was not discussed. Was told before lab that he MIGHT have a bacterial infection. Cooper St. No air-conditioning.

Syeda at the front desk is always so welcoming and friendly! Only Urgent Care that you can use as a primary which is wonderful! Staff is always very friendly, if you don’t have insurance the visit isn’t high. I’m now on Medicare and they take my plan. I’ve never had a bad experience and grateful I found them. Dr. Samar and Hamida are so kind and professional absolutely love being seen by them.

Not only did front desk staff have all of their phone calls on speaker phone, including ones in which they discussed patients, but when I was taken back to an exam room I was greeting with a lazy boy recliner. I wish I was joking. Then, when my vitals were being taken, the assistant asked me multiple questions and handed me items while my blood pressure was being read. As a medical assistant myself that is a big no-no, as patients should not be speaking or moving their arms around while getting a reading. After that I decided that I just could not risk continuing to stay to wait for the doctor. I mean if they have a fabric recliner in the room, which clearly cannot be sanitized between patients, I didn’t even want to think about what other gross bacteria they didn’t even bother to try to clean. I got up and left and I suggest any one needing urgent care go anywhere BUT here. I will be perusing the proper channels to report them as I can only imagine the other negligent practices that are going on that I didn’t witness.

Everything is a hassle. Want a referral? Prepare to visit and then call 5 times. Need a refill? They for sure wont do it unless you call. And even if you call you get ONE refill so prepare to call every time you need meds. Billing? They filed a claim with incorrect provider IDs resulting in hassle. And then tried to collect the incorrect payment, with their billing department phone number straight to full voice mail. And then they filed it again 4 times with the same incorrect info. The only positive thing is that its easy to go there, no need to book anything.

Very friendly and hard working staff. I did my covid test here and got my results within couple of hours. The lines can get messy but it’s just due to such a over load of the system due to increase in cases I hope they can figure something out.

During my visit on 2/1/24 to an urgent care of Texas due to severe anxiety and dehydration, I encountered an exceptionally supportive and professional medical team that made a significant difference in my experience. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff, particularly Syeda, greeted me with warmth and understanding, making me feel welcomed and at ease during a stressful time. Her efficiency and kindness in handling my check-in process were notable, setting a positive tone for the rest of my visit.The medical team, including a notably compassionate medical assistant Ayesha, further enhanced my experience. Ayeshas friendly demeanor and professionalism were immediately apparent. She was attentive and empathetic, ensuring that I felt comfortable and understood throughout my treatment. Her dedication to patient care was evident in every interaction, making a challenging situation much more manageable.Dr. M. Bhalli provided exceptional care as well. He had an outstanding bedside manner, offering calm and reassurance that was deeply comforting amidst my discomfort and anxiety. The doctor took the time to talk me through the treatment process, answering all my questions with patience and empathy. This thoughtful communication was crucial in alleviating my anxiety and made me feel truly cared for.I received IV treatment, which was administered with care and professionalism by Dr. Bhalli. Ayeshas attentiveness during this process ensured that I was comfortable and that the treatment was administered smoothly, further demonstrating the teams commitment to excellence in patient care.Overall, my experience at the urgent care facility was overwhelmingly positive, thanks to the skilled and empathetic medical team, along with the warm and welcoming staff, including Syeda and Ayesha. Plano Location... I went there for a simple strep and covid test. I was asked to use my phone to take pictures of my ID and insurance with my personal phone and email them to the office. Is this office in such bad shape that they dont have a copy machine like EVERY other Dr.s office, I refused. Once inside, I gave clear orders I would like a strep test and a rapid covid test. They told me ok, great, I ll be right back, administered the tests and then told me the covid test would take 24 hours for results. I said I told you I needed the rapid test as I had family in house for Christmas. The nurse comes in and very rudely tries to tell me I did not say that. SHE LIED to my face. After I talked to the doctor, he simply tells my daughter loudly You are getting a shot, without any explanation. I told him, you just hold a minute, maybe you should explain what you are saying to my daughter instead of loudly saying that you are getting a shot. He became agitated and got very rude with me because I wanted to know why he would say something like that to her. Here is the best part..So I left and paid my co-pay of $75. I then receive a bill for $75. I called and after further review of what they were charging for i found 7 different labs they said they ran. They charged my insurance for these services that were not performed hoping I would not see this. I am currently speaking to an lawyer about this matter...The place was filthy and looked as I was in a third world nation of a Drs office. Everything was very dated, dirtuy and just old....AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS....

Definitely a scam. I went in and the doctor wasn’t even in office, I had an over the phone consultation that lasted not even 5 minutes. Payed for a visit 5 months ago over something small and just received a letter telling me I need to pay over $200 more. The address on the letter isn’t even correct, the phone number is not the actual clinic, even a second address from Houston?! This place is terrible - definitely go to a different place if you absolutely can

This is the best place I ever been. Whenever I came they give me the best service especially from Syeda Front desk whenever i have questions regarding insurance and referrals she helped me and Nurse Ayesha always taking care of my needs.

I was on a wait for my new insurance but I had no choice but to see the doctor due to my medical situation. Dr. Yaqub took time to listen to me, answer all my questions, and I was informed of the costs of treatment so it was my choice and there were no surprises. The visit was significantly cheaper than some other urgent care clinics and the service was superior. I did have to wait about an hour but that’s not bad at all considering the time of year and the amount of illness going around right now.

The bad- been here twice now on a Saturday and the DOCTOR is late… “stuck in traffic “. I guess getting to work at 10am is asking a lot. This time, 30-40 mins late, I was told as I walked in right at 10am.The good - I came here once on a weekday and they were great. Good communication, friendly, etc. perhaps the owner/manager should have serious discussions with the weekend crew.

Wow I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with Dr Bhalli and his staff. They were all so caring and thorough. I would highly recommend coming here. They provided a solution for me that I needed urgently. I will definitely be coming back.

Great visit! I felt like Death going in! I had the flu and was feeling really crummy. The staff here is amazing! Fran really took care of me the whole time I was there she even took time to answer my questions on the phone when I called before I went in, her bedside manner is fantastic, it felt like I was being taken care of by family she really went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had me laughing the whole time:) the front Desk lady was so sweet from the moment I walked in and the doctor was patient and explained everything to me and had several different options with pricing since I am self pay and also gave a great recommendation to a pharmacy with great prices for people with no insurance! Over all just a great experience and I left feeling much better!! :)

I was a walk in and they saw me immediately. I did lab work, got my results, and walked out with two prescriptions in under 30 mins. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Do NOT go to this clinic. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I work in healthcare and I was VERY unhappy with the service I received. When I walked in and spoke to the front desk guy, he was on his cell phone the entire time. He was rude and NO manners at all. He told me to complete forms on a clipboard and I got through the first page. I was listening to him talk to another sick patient in the lobby and the way he was talking to him, made me get up and leave. I went to the front desk to ask for me ID and Ins card and left. I will never come back to this clinic. When I went to another Urgent care and told them about my experience here, they said they heard about this clinic and often hear complaints. If you need serious health care. DO NOT COME HERE!

I got a voicemail today from Molly from Urgent Care of Texas asking that I return his call to update my profile. Strange request. I return his call. He said he needed my social security number to update my profile so he can bill me for a 7/18/22 visit. Today is 3/16/23. I have not heard from this facility since I went in last year to confirm my covid status after testing positive at home. Im a military veteran. On that day last year, after I tested positive with the rapid home test for covid, it was after hours and the Plano VA clinic was closed. I called VA and was given this location as a VA in-network contractor. I called this urgent care location to confirm if they are VA contracted for insurance coverage. The lady I spoke to said she would call me back after confirming with VA by phone. She returned my call quickly saying they can treat me as a VA contractor. I went in and they had me fill out paperwork and did the nasal test. I was told thats all I had to do and would call me back with the results within 24 hours. I received no call. I called the next day and the man I spoke to sounded like he made up the answer to my status. He just said yeah youre covid positive. No mention of which strand of covid. That was 7/19/2022. I assumed the insurance was handled ok since I havent heard from them until now. My ssn# shouldve been on the patient info paperwork I filled out at the time of the visit last year. But now they want to bill me saying they are not VA-contracted. When I pushed back, then Molly (a man) said they are VA contracted, smh. I told him I dont give that info over the phone and would attend to this matter in person. He gave me the number to VA billing for urgent care. VA confirmed the visit date and the authorization number for the coverage and the name of the insurance company to bill. This facility is awful. Do not seek treatment there.

Each of the 3 staff members were attentive & exceptionally kind. The combination allowed a very comfortable setting and alleviated my high anxiety of visiting an urgent care facility. Each one showed a professional concern and the exam was very thorough. If you are in need of excellent care, I highly recommend as I was majorly impressed.

Tereible service... doctor would not listen to you carefully , doctor would just talk talk and talk one way conversation. The front desk lady even worst, was rude and non helping at all... would not explain your coverage and they would overcharge you what you not supposed to pay...Really do not know how this place has any stars...

My sister in law went to this Urgent care on 2/21/23 with BP reading of 180/120. Not only they made her wait in the waiting area but also gave her a stack of papers to fill out (perhaps new patient form) while she was suffering such high BP. After filling out papers, they finally got to start doing the checkups on her, however, ended up advising her that it was better for her to go to an actual hospital ER. It was total waste of time. Never returning to this location again!!!

Love this place great service fabulous doctor Dr BHALLI was amazing!!He took his time to listen to every little detail of what was happening. He was patient and methodical & took his Time and solved the problemmy 90 year old dad, his ears were totally impacted with patience and perseverance. Dr. Bhalli corrected my dads ears now and he hears like a champ now.My family and I will be going there from now on.If you want Excellent care go see Dr. bhalli!

This place is great. High quality medical care with friendly staff. Bhalli saved me from needing surgery for a bad hand infection. I have him to thank for having all 10 fingers! Not to mention he and his staff saved me a lot of money.

Great experience, fast and convenient. The front desk office lady is the sweetest, most polite, and kind person I have ever met at any clinics. The NP was very knowledgeable and polite. She made my visit very easy and comfortable, answered all my questions.

Such a wonderful turn around of this clinic!! The doctor & nurse took care of me so well, making me feel comfortable the entire time! I truly felt like I was not just another patient, but they cared for me as a human! Their prices without insurance are also great!

I was not feeling well and as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by the staff with kindness and care. Fran was compassionate and loving despite my flu symptoms and treated me better than any nurse I have ever come across. She displayed noble characteristics and work ethics that are truly praiseworthy. I am happy to say I am already starting to feel better!

Love this facility! The staff is friendly and personable. Went there for the first time today to take my 82 y-o mother. The nurse, Fran, was very attentive. The attending doctor, Dr. Sheikh, was very detailed and thorough before, during, and after the examination. Highly recommend :)

Today was my first time attending Expecare Urgent care Family care of Texas with Dr. Hamida Jindani and her receptionist Syeda Fatima and her Nurse Alisha Allen. They are great team to be treated by. Doctor was so helpful, respectful and informative. I was treated really well by Dr. Hamida and the team. I would give 10 stars if necessary.

Excellent experience as a walk in patient with the flu. Was walked straight back after completing initial paperwork and seen within 5 minutes by the physician assistant on staff. Total time in the clinic was under 30 minutes and prescriptions were waiting for me at my local pharmacy by the time I got there. Could not recommend this location and staff any higher, thank you for your compassionate care. I will be back for future healthcare needs!

I’ve been to other places before, but not as professional as this one. Hamida Jindani is very professional, humble and kind. Most medical places regardless to what services they offer they make you feel that you’re just another client, but dealing with Hamida and the nurses made feel that they do care about their patients I highly recommend this place. I’ve visited here twice. Dr. Hamida is very knowledgeable and thorough. Her and the staff members have all been friendly and helpful! They allow walk ins and appointments which is great since they are also are a primary care clinic. I’ve been looking for a PCP and I think I’ve found her!

Due to Covid-19 I recently had a change in health insurance coverage which of course meant I had to change primary care providers. Everyone here adhered to masks and distancing.A note on prior negative reviews - the urgent care facility does not control your coverage. If you feel you are overcharged or you don’t understand your coverage, that’s an issue between you and your insurance company. The clinic and doctors have no flexibility - they charge what your policy allows them to bill.I’ve worked in a medical center myself, so I know how needlessly complicated our health care systems are. The front end staff here could not have been any more helpful and friendly, assisting me with getting the right doctor on my policy and coverage in place so that I could get lapsed prescriptions filled. They are now my go to PCP.Clinics and urgent care facilities often get a bad reputation due to the perceived nature of “get them in and get them out”. Not here. Great people who genuinely care about helping while making it as pleasant and easy as possible.

The staff were friendly and warm. The nurse showed genuine care and had the best jokes to make me feel comfortable and secure. It was quick and easy and I recommend this place to anyone who need their medical situation attended to.

I was experiencing discomfort due to allergies. I had a short wait time. The Dr. took time to make sure she understood what was happening with my body. I was given an injection and several tips to make things better. I would definitely select this clinic and location if I have another issue that warrants quick appointment.

All of the staff have been exceptionally helpful in my care. My weekly IV treatments are critical and all nurses and staff have been exceedingly adept to get my medications and reordered. They have been keeping me out of hospital for 4 months and counting. Also the facility is getting numerous improvements over that time frame.

Everyone was so nice and understanding. The Nurse Practitioner didnt disregard what I felt or made me feel like I was wrong. The entire staff was very polite and extremely helpful. Highly recommend 👌

The Urgent care hosts a team of very knowledgeable and experienced doctors that create a safe and comforting atmosphere throughout your visit.

I have been coming to this facility for approximately for 5 years and I am very happy with the level of care that I get from The physician and the nurses. the doctors that work here sometimes will change out oh, but I found that the nurses stay on much longer. If you are just needing a blood workup / physical for a referral to a specialist, this would be a great place to come. There is a nurse that works here, her name is Fran & she is absolutely excellent at drawing blood & finding the best vein. I very rarely feel a thing and I hate needles.

EDIT JAN 2021 - unfortunately, this place has gone downhill since my review. The woman at the front desk seemed distracted, careless, unorganized, and was unpleasant. Completely different experience. I left before giving them my money. Highly recommend Medco ER over this facility.I had an amazing experience today. The staff is amazing. I felt so at home. Ive had horrible experiences with most of the doctors in my life and this team brought back a huge chunk of faith in doctors for me. Fran was amazing, Xaviera was great, and the nurse practitioner, Hamida Jindani was stellar. I truly felt like they cared and were thorough. I will be back to this specific location for any ailments and I will happily pay whatever price. Thank yall so much!!!

The front desk, and nurse were nice and helpful. Also, the doctor was real professional, and courteous. She took account my symptoms, and gave me a proper plan to where I start feeling better soon. Any questions I had, she gave me a clear answer. I am starting to feel better already, would recommend this place.

Front desk person was totally incompetent and caused issues. When I called and asked if they take 4 months old, he said yes and I repeated to make sure he knew. When I got there, he was like oh misunderstood. Then, when I left and asked him to update my pharmacy and he said he would, he didn’t so my meds were called into the wrong place. What a mess.

I did something really silly in the kitchen and got a deep cut in my pinky finger. Given all the blood, I knew the cut was deep but thought I would wrap it with gauze and see if I could fight through it. Later in the day, I went to change the gauze and it had stuck to the dried blood and I had to rip it off the cut. The wound reopened with blood everywhere! I became historical and emediately went to the Urgent Care around the corner from my house. Let me tell you, I walked in shaking and crying and I walked out with three stitches, smiling and laughing. Alisha, Syeda and Dr. Mohd provided exceptional service and I had a wonderful experience. They walked me through the entire process and held my hand during the procedure! They were so kind to me and I will never forget it. The turned my bad day into a better one and made me feel like a super important patient. I know that Urgent Care gets a bad wrap, but these folks are totally legit!!!

This urgent care was GREAT! Kris is absolutely wonderful. She made me feel calm and relaxed about coming in. She is outstanding. The service and care I got was outstanding. I don’t think I would feel the same about my visit without Kris’ help. I recommend this urgent care highly.

I took my son to this clinic and there is a nurse called shanda, she was very rude to us!! Didn’t say hello and accused of my son having Covid. She didn’t even ask us what’s the matter or why were there for. I felt so offended and hurt. I had already been to the ER with him twice and his Covid tests came out negative and only went to this clinic to get further treatment. But they sent us back just cos my son looked sick. I will never go there again!! It was my first and last time!!!

I hit my head on a corner of an alcove and it wouldn’t stop bleeding. Dr. Oad fixed me up before I was able to get the paperwork completed. 5 staples later and I’m tired but doing good. Service was top notch.Update 7/5 - returned to get staples removed and it was very quick and painless. This was done by NP.

I stopped by this location for their advertised COVID PCR test with results in an hour. It took over an hour to finally be swabbed. (There was only 1 car ahead of me and 1 patient inside). In phone calls, they were hurried and impatient and often hang up before I could finish my sentence. The physician assistant and person who administered the test both confirmed that I would receive the results by email (that was my purpose for being there in the first place). It took a day and a half and multiple phone calls to finally receive the email.So effectively, it took far longer than in other locations to receive the results, and the interaction with this location was far from pleasant.

Place is amazing from when you walk in the front door. Super nice ,efficient ,and caring . Nurses and doctors . I went there on and emergency once and now they are my primary care now moving forward . Yes you can make them your primary . Highly recommend anyone going there for anything and if you don’t have a PCP I would try them out . :)

Been going there for several years. Basically, they (Plano location) function as my PCP. Personnel are friendly, caring and competent. They take Medicare and my advantage supplement, so very cost effective. Highly recommend for anyone!

This is the worst place Ive ever been at. They made me wait 3 hours to be seen after appointment and asked me what medication i need for seizures and didnt send them to any pharmacy. Very sadistic treatment.

Went to get checked due to unknown illness. Before they see you, you must take a Covid Test, they test at your car. Nurse was quick, swabbed hard and got the results, within half a day later. I was shocked to learn I was positive. Got some meds and healing.

Went there due to cold symptoms: sore throat, congestion, runny nose and ear pain/pressure. Basically if you have any symptom of any kind, it could be Covid-19 and therefore they require you to do a Covid-19 test, whatever, fine I get it. That process was supposed to take 45 minutes to an hour. And I was told I would get a call with my results. Remember, my purpose in going wasn’t to get a test, but to get assistance with my symptoms. After waiting an hour and a half, the front desk lady came out to my car and asked me if I was there to get a Covid test. I told her that I had already had one and was waiting on the results.She quickly informed me that they don’t provide a print out or email confirmation of your test results, just a verbal report. I said fine, as I didn’t need a Covid test. She asked my name 3 times over the course of 2 minutes, said she would call me with the results, and went inside. A few minutes later she came out and told me my results. I asked her if I can see the NP now, as I was wanting symptom relief the entire time. She allowed me to come into the office and sit in the waiting room. I got to waste 1.5 hours worth of gas sitting in my car with the A/C on prior to that. After a few minutes, she said that another individual and myself could come up and pay. I asked her how long it was going to be and she said I was last. I mentioned that the Covid results took 1.5 hours, upwards of 2 times as long as they quoted and she excused that stating they were on lunch.No where is it mentioned that they are closed for lunch, and, a Covid test doesn’t need a person watching the test for 45 minutes to get a result. The result was available after they ate lunch. Instead of calling me with those, they were out assisting other cars. I didn’t call and ask about the results because I saw their lunch come in. Remember, the front desk lady came out probably 20 minutes after their lunch ended (as evidenced by them assisting other cars) and asked me if I was there for a Covid test.So, after she told me I was last in line, I said never mind and walked out. She asked if I wanted to be taken off of the list and I said yes, why would I want to wait another hour plus to be seen.My concern is that this employee didn’t seem to have any care for patient care. I wasn’t feeing well and had to jump through hoops to finally be in the waiting room. She was quick to let another car, who needed a Covid test to travel, that they didn’t provide proof of the test results and basically told them to go somewhere else. Why is an urgent care facility not wanting to provide care? Maybe Covid tests are the money maker for them and so they are milking those.So, I wouldn’t ever waste my time at this facility again. I would encourage you all to be informed of the above concerns before making your decision.

Went for a covid test. The experience was quick, efficient, and both the clinician administering my test and the nurse practitioner that called me with my results were friendly and knowledgeable. Very much would recommend visiting if needing a quick and reliable test!(they do in house Pcr)

Staff was very proffessional ,I went in for what might have been an ear infection/flu on christmas eve. The spent a short time in the waiting room. I had Nurse FRAN she was awesome and very informative . Nurse Fran’s injection technique made my injection less painful. I forgot the doc name but she was great aswell.

I got scammed at this place a year ago. Visited for a bad cough. Seen by a nurse. A quick visit. I got cough medicine and that was it. I had a very good insurance plan at that time (BCBS ppo) and I called in advance asking if they had urgent care and whether providers in network. They said yes to both. Several months later I received a bill stating 6000 dollars before insurance and nearly 300 after. Because all of a sudden their small office became a hospital facility so I received a out patient care. They stated they provided immunization and tests on me during the visit. Front desk and billing department kick me back and forth. Their billing service was outsourced to India FYI. What an evil scammer team! They would rip you off in ways out of imagination.If you as a medical facility but are determined to scam walkin patients in every possible way, you have a special place in hell. I reported you to fraudulent insurance claim and to medical malpractice. You might not care and laugh with the money you earned dishonestly. But one day karma will hunt back to you. Good luck to your evil practice and have an horrible day.

The entire staff was excellent. This has got to be one of the friendliest places I’ve ever visited. The staff was warm & friendly and the doctor was exceptional. Can’t wait to get sick again so I can make a return visit.

Im updating my review with a compromise of 3 stars because the service was wonderful but I was told that they were in network by the front desk staff when they are not. After many calls and inquiries both to the billing department and the facility itself it turns out that they dont check and that, while they are in the process of getting in my insurances network, they are not yet in network... meaning everything I have paid does not go towards my deductible and there is a potential looming large bill (though I have been assured it will not be billed to me by LuminCares billing department). My trust has been broken and they have potentially cost me a lot of money.

The facility was very clean, the front desk experience was quick and easy. The treatment was expedited they were very friendly and professional. Would certainly not even think twice to go back if the need arises. Definitely and 5 star experience.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have been to many urgent care facilities in my life and never have I been charged the way they bill here. They bill as if they are a hospital and my bill was 10X higher than ANY urgent care I have every visited. They are crooks and were unable to help resolve my issues. A breakdown of my bill shows, I was charged $100 a minute to be prescribed an OTC medicine. DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE or any other Urgent Care of Texas Locations. They claim they can charge whatever they want but based on my experience they overcharge compared to there peers to a tune as mentioned above of 10X higher. if you dont want to be ripped off do not seek help from this provider.

Doctors and staff were kind and efficient. There was no wait at that time so, I was in and out of there rather quickly. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for urgent care.

We went in for Covid testing and both Kathy and Amita were great today. They explained the process to all of us and we were in and out in no time. This is the 2nd time we’ve been here, the first time Fran did our testing. I can say with certainty, this place is the best!! Everyone is so gentle and kind. We will be back the next time we need great and efficient care.

They advertise 1 hour PCR results for $199.Online you can schedule a time range for your arrival for a covid test (9-10AM, 10-11AM, etc), but when you arrive, they will say they do not take reservations/appointments for covid testing. Also, the self pay price is ACTUALLY $275 for a rapid test. They say they will email you the results, or you can come pick them up, which is not accurate.Obviously, covid is prominent right now, and they are busy, but in that event, maybe having more than one person on staff is worth considering. It’s too much for one person to do - and the person testing us was very sweet but, clearly being asked to do more than she can handle on her own. Especially when you charge $275 for a rapid PCR test. They take insurance, but travel is not covered, meaning if you need a negative test to travel somewhere, which I understand. They said I could pay $275 for a rapid test then they’d call with my results and they can then be emailed to us if we do choose. They did call to tell me it’s negative (~3 hours later) but that they couldn’t email me my results because the were too busy. Why am I paying so much then? If you have a few hours and money to spare then by all means, this place will get the job done. But if you do not, consider somewhere else.

This was the best experience ever! They discovered that I had pneumonia within 30 mins, gave me IV treatments, pain meds, and sent my prescription electronically! Ms.Fran, Emily, and NP Suma are awesome! Got me in and out expeditiously! I’m very Grateful! Highly Recommended

When I walked Through the door I was greeted with smiles and a warm welcome the receptionist was very helpful answered all my questions as needed.. If I didn’t understand she broke it down to me easily.. Once called to the Back I was greeted with Alicia who was awesome I loved her energy and her ability of explaining things to me she was very very sweet.. Fast Paced and fun conversation while still working..Then I met with the Dr who was helpful as well.. Even the Practitioner was so sweet called in my prescription as soon as I hung up the phone Omg the entire staff was excellent I would really Recommend any of my friends and family.. Awesome experience. I hate going to clinics because the wait is always sooo long. My wait time was only maybe 30 min, including filling out paperwork. Also, they offer iV antibiotics so I was able to get immediate relief. When I got there I was the only one in the waiting room. If they were busier the wait would probably be longer.

My son had broken collar bone in the late Friday afternoon. I called them on the way to the office and the staff didnt go home and waited for us until we arrived. We explained to them the situation and they took care of my son really well. This was our first time to deal with broken bone and the staff assisted us with process and what we had to do find the right doctor.Thank you for their care !!! ^^

They are great. Very polite and professional. It took only 30 minutes to get tested for covid at 2pm on a busy afternoon. Would highly recommend them to everyone.

I have been going to LuminCARE in Plano for several months. Dr. Thompson and Chris Stanfield have been helping me with some medical issues and both of them have alway gone above and beyond expectations! The staff has always been very helpful and considerate. I highly recommend them and I appreciate the professionalism that they always show. More healthcare facilities should take note!

I have been going to this facility for the last 2 years since my primary care physician joined this practice. I should have left after I found out that they couldnt even transfer basic records of mine from my doctors old practice and the initial signs of incompetence of the front desk and support staff. But I didnt and just brought it to the attn of my physician.When I went there to get a flu shot 3 weeks back, I found out my physician has left the practice. I am on maintenance drugs and I made an appt for today to get my prescription refilled. Since it requires fasting blood work, I chose today as they had a 9:15 appt availableI checked in at 9:05 and the front desk lady asked me if I was self pay. I have been using the same insurance for the last 2 years at the same place and sonehow it changed my status to inactive. This is the level of incompetence you will deal with the office personnel here. They have no clue. You cannot use a visa debit card here as a cc transaction. I have complained about this and...guess what they just dont care. Their billing Dept is another complete mess I received bills for 2 services from March 18 in October 18 as 90 days past due for the first time. And I didnt even recognize the company who sent the bill. The phone number on the contact will never be answered.Coming back to today, as I was waiting past my appt time, the medical staff hasnt even come to the office. The nurse checks in at 9: 25. The PA or NP comes in at 9:15 goes out to get breakfast and comes back in at 9:30. Finally arnd 9:40 , I am called in, usual checks and put in a room. I pop out every 5 mins to see if anyone is going to attend to me. Nope. Finally at 9:55, I catch the attention of another nurse and let her know that I am fasting and starving and need to get the blood work done. She gives a lame excuse and nothing happens for the next 15 mins. Finally at 10:10, a full hour after I checked in and with no prospect of seeing a medical professional, I walked out.There are or were some good professionals here, but the incompetence and in attention of the support and most importantly billing will turn most experiences here into a night mare.

Ive bee to Lumin Care in Plano at Parker & Coit 4 times now. I must say I like them much better than Care Now. The front desk staff is attentive and courteous and the physicians are awesome. Ive got to give kudos to Dr. Huerta, she saved my New Years weekend by agreeing to see me at last minute and gave me some much needed relief for lower back pain. You guys are doing a great job!!

Nurse was fantastic. Appointment at 515, but X-ray and front desk lady left for the day. Went in with sever neck pain and no X-ray. In fact my personal Info/history was never looked at by the dr. I had the clipboard with paperwork in my hand the entire hr I was there. Most drs would look at history/info before trying to diagnose or treat a patient. She kept saying meningitis, but I had zero symptoms other than a cough, which caused my neck pain. No fever, chills, sore throat, etc....just a dry cough. Was given two shots, and 5 scripts. 1 muscle relaxer, 1 ibuprofen, and 3 for allergies?! I have an allergy dr and told this dr that I already take daily allergy meds. Med scripts were over $300. The cost of the office visit including two shots, was $200. Was told to come back the next day for X-rays, but they could not give me a cost for the X-rays. That’s insane?! Already $500 into a pulled muscle in my neck with no other symptoms other than a cough and im out of pocket $500 already?! No thanks. There are other places around town that include X-rays in their initial visit that are very reasonable and below $160. I chose this place based on the fact it was close to home and had an immediate opening. Will NOT be returning or recommending this urgent care.

Please explain to your nurses that Covid test swabs do not need to go so far into the nose that it causes the patient to scream and cry in pain. An hour later my nose is still throbbing in pain. It was excruciating and completely unnecessary.

We had another great experience. This time for a COVID test for our son. Very convenient, fast, friendly service. They tested him in the car. Drive up. No appointment.

Dont waste your time checking in on line! Thanks, but no thanks!! I checked in early on line 15 minutes prior to my arrival and had a check in time of 1pm. I arrived at 1252 and there were no patients in the waiting room. When I arrived, I was told to sign in and complete the info on the kiosk even though I had completed the info online, which I did. When I completed the kiosk info, at the end, it informed me I did not have an appt. I informed the lady again that I did online check in and did have an appt. She said not to worry about it and she would take care of it. There was a gentleman who walked in the door 2 secs prior to me and who had not checked in online and he was instructed to do the same process. I finished checking in 5 minutes prior to him in the lobby. He too, got the same response from the kiosk and was told to not worry about it, that she would take care of it. I sat and waited patiently as she helped him finish signing in the kiosk and she told him she would be taking him back in just a minute. I didnt question her, thinking maybe she was going to take us both back at the same time. Nope! Next thing I know, he was called back and I was left sitting in the waiting room looking at my watch, hoping I could get in and out before I had to pick my daughter up from school. On top of that, she had asked me what I was there for in front of the guy who was waiting in the waiting room with me. So much for patient confidentiality! (I didnt have anything to hide, so I didnt mind sharing, but you cant just assume everyone wants to know what you are there for!) I wont ever come to this clinic again. My first was my last visit! I never even got to see the provider, as I chose to leave prior to me being called back to be seen due to poor customer service.

Took my son in for possible strep throat. He had fever and sore throat. Went to Lumincare and went through whole check-in and triage process only to be told the strep tests were on back order AND the billing office will have to give me our refund back as they were unable. Got an apology from the receptionist/medical assistant person but never even saw the provider. Wont be back and curious to see when Ill get my copay refund.

Just went to be checked because I’ve felt so terrible for 2 days. 25 weeks pregnant currently. The doctor said she didn’t want to keep her staff so she said to come back tomorrow if I still feel bad but she would give me Tylenol for my headache. Worst bedside manner I’ve ever seen and I work in healthcare. They’d rather go home than treat a sick pregnant woman. she didn’t even check or do any basic exam.

That girl name Shaunda or whoever she was very rude. I work in healthcare environment too but never seen one person like her. She needs more training on her customer service skills and be more patient with people.

However, none that I have been to, give me the personal and in-depth care that I receive from Lumin CARE! Its clean, friendly, quick and precise. Did I say nice? I feel like family and not just an insurance card holder. The staff follows up with me on treatments and medications. This is the healthcare attention you expect but rarely find. Went to Lumin Care in Plano a few weeks ago. I have been gaining weight, feeling lethargic, and could tell my blood pressure was high. Mr. Stanfield, the NP on duty took great care of me. Helped me get on a diet plan and gave me something for my high blood pressure. I now have lost over 20lbs and blood pressure is normal! Mr. Stanfield and the staff were very nice and took great care of me. Will keep coming back!

My daughters pediatrician was not avail today so luckily, we were seen with no wait, no hassle. The staff is super nice and helpful. I am so thankful for them today!

They had me wait 45 min in a hot room. I’m here for a clearance and after taking my EKG they tell me that can’t do my blood workApparently, they cannot do Pt/PTT!

Literally told them 5 times, plus wrote down what pharmacy to send my meds to and they still sent it to a pharmacy an hour away, which I didnt find out until I went to pick it up. Now theyre closing and cant transfer my meds, so I have to go without it.

Paperwork says they will bill insurance, yet they demanded full payment before leaving. Our PCP files w insurance and then bills me, no issues.They also refused to give copies of any paperwork, hmmm...Got no itemized bill, was expected to just pay up.Nope.

Great experience. Terrific people at the front desk. My nurse and doctor were thorough and kind in their demeanor. I have a new doctor.

Been here multiple times with myself and kids. They are thorough and work you through quickly if you need. They dont have to send you 5 different locations for testing, breathing treatments, IV fluids or big starter doses of antibiotics so you can start fighting your infection immediately while the pharmacy fills your PO prescriptions. I DO work in healthcare and we have a PCP for for continued care, but the ability to just show up when you need and start tx is priceless. Your PCP assigning you a sick visit at the end of a day is incredibly valuable in the daily time crunch. Because once you decide you are going to need help you are ready for help right then. Shout out to the PA, managing docs and their hard working staff. And as a side note from the pregnant reviewer below, as an OB RN....they were 100% within scope of practice for treatment at a wall in clinic for that case. Only hospital based ER will assume liability for RX level meds on a pregnant patient. If you are not coding. Unstable or actively delivering..an OB will dictate course of treatment.

Went there for treatment and several tests were done. Was told they would followup by the end of the day or the next day at the latest. After a week, and calling back for answers....no response. Seems as if once youre out the door, they dont care anymore. I will let my insurance company know that the tests they performed, and will most likely look for reimbursement for as well should not be allowed since no results were ever made available to the patient.

Dr. Mendoza is my fave! I go to him more than I go to my primary.

She did not know half of the stuff...I mentioned I was nursing and she was googleing to check if the medication she was.giving me was safe or not during lactation...very disappointed..They charged me full amount when there wasnt even a doctor to check me

My wife came at 5:30 and was not treated because they didn’t want to keep the staff past 6. Poor medical practice, poor professionalism, and poor business. But they took our money.. stay away and go elsewhere

Lady at front desk that took my info along with my Medicaid could not find my information I had to tell her what to do also I waited 1 hour before I seen a nurse practitioner which she was very rude and judgmental I went In for a X-ray on my leg and back and they wanted to send me some where else the only nice person was The triage nurse that took my vitals and the supervisor but other than that the nurse practitioner and desk receptionist was very rude I give this place a one star do not go here
