Planned Parenthood - Downtown Orlando Health Center

I made the most difficult decision of my life. I chose to love my baby and do the best thing for it. When I walked in I was shocked how many other people were there. Yes it did take a while to do all of the steps but I was so surprised how nice and comforting all of the nurses were during my time here. Please dont listen to any of the bad reviews of Planned Parenthood. They are only trying to scare you away from making this decision. I am so thankful for my great experience. I never felt any pain and I dont remember the procedure. I hope that I can share my experience with other girls. You are strong!

The staff there were incredibly helpful and nice when I was able to get an appointment. The appointment for birth control removal was so easy and they answered all my questions with no hesitations. I like the new booking system online, however, I cant make a profile on the patient portal for the actual site. It states it is down, which upsets me bc Id like to check my profile.

Planned Parenthood provided me with great service. The staff was friendly, the waiting room pleasant (they even play Star Wars in the waiting room!), and best of all it was cheaper than my private OBGYN! I love all the cute condoms they give out too. They make the pap smear less miserable!

Avoid this planned parenthood at all cost spend a little more if you have to somewhere else because this place is AWFUL. Rude staff. Awful service. Unhelpful and overall one of the worst places Ive ever been to period. Just wanted another prescription and I was made to jump through hopes after they cancelled my appointment because of the hurricane and told me to come as a walk in and sure enough they turned me down because they were swamped with 3 people in the waiting room. Whats a joke.

Horrible customer service, i have been to a couple different planned parenthoods and i have never had to sit and wait so long to pick up a birth control percription. ESPECIALLY since i book an appointment for it. At evry other on i can walk in be greated nicely and they already have the perception there waiting for me i can just pay an leave. And this location i wait 30 minuets past my appointment bc they need a nurse to sign off on it? Which i have never heard and if that is the case it should be done prior to the appointment time.

If I could give this clinic a higher rating I would. Planned Parenthood is a safe place for EVERYONE to go. Not only for woman but men and teens. Ive been a patient there from the age of 17. These people have become a part of my life in a big way. Yes mistakes happen but the blame is not solely on the staff. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and Knowledgeable.The practitioners are always so understand and take the time to really hear me and explain things. I’m never made to feel stupid for asking a question. This Is a REAL GYN clinic and I am living proof of a satisfied patient.

Came here for birth control. The staff is super friendly and made me feel comfortable. Had many concerns and they answered all my questions. Definitely coming back. Great experience honestly.

They really dont care about the people who walk in here at all. I made an appointment at 3:45 and didnt get called back until 5:30! And that was only because people started to complain. When I asked one of the nurses if that is normal to wait this long all she said was yup with an attitude. I was originally there to get tested and the nurse asked me if I had any illnesses or physical problems so I told her that yes I have PCOS. PCOS concerns the reproductive system in women and this lady had no idea what I was talking about. How do you work at a place that specializes in that area and you dont know what Im talking about? After that another nurse came in and talked to me and asked me a lot of questions (which I was fine with) but had the nerve to judge me when I told her things she didnt agree with. Heres my concern with that, if I come in and tell you Im a hooker and I slept with 100 guys this week that isnt her personal concern. Her only concern was to nod her head and write down my answers. I answered some of her questions and she actually got loud with me and said, Oh no you werent supposed to do that! Oh God! Seriously? How do you expect people to be open and honest with you with judgment like that? Then she tried pushing pills on me before I even got my results! Like no you are already being negative before I even find anything out so stop trying to sell me your drugs. Also I could hear the other people in the rooms next door talking to the doctors about personal things, the walls are super thin which defeats the point of patient confidentiality if I just heard the STD results of the lady next door. I think the most annoying part was over the phone I was told that this specific test would cost only $15 however when I was checking out they told me it was $30. I told her what the lady on the phone said and when she went to check in the back their response was they have to check me for two diseases because the exams cant be checked separately so I was charged for an exam I didnt need nor ask for (even though the nurse in the room had just asked me if I wanted that exam and I still said no. She didnt even know I would be forced to take it anyways). They never called me for my results a week later so I had to call them instead. I literally gave them easy information about myself that anyone could figure out and these idiots gave me my results over the phone! I could have been anybody and instead of telling me to come in or mailing me something they simply gave my results out over the phone. The whole experience was a mess and I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. I wish I could give it zero stars but really the only reason I gave this place one star was because I at least got free condoms out of it. Besides that this place is a waste of time and I could care less if the government shuts them down. You are better off going to a community clinic.

Literally just called to book and appointment and the lady was so unprofessional. Even when I thanked her at the end she had already hangup on me without confirming or asking if I had any other questions. I immediately cancelled my appointment. I dont even want to bother with face to face communication. Good luck.

Very unprofessional staff . I am never going back. I called for BC on a weds. which takes 3 business days. I went on 3 business days and it wasnt ready. Thats fine ill come back. I come back 5 business days later and the rude front desk lady looks for it. She tells me to sit back in the waiting room I wait for them to get the BC ready. Im just sitting there. I go back to the front desk and explain I have to go to work I thought this was a process of just picking up, if not I need my prescription to get it somewhere else. she doesnt even say , let me check whats going on or anything . Gives me a dirty look and walks away. She comes back and says the manager is coming with the BC and you can tell her that. Manager comes and has the BC . I tell her I want my prescription she tells me I have to call in and give the information for the pharmacy because they just wont give me MY prescription. I tell her that the front desk is very rude and they need someone who greets people betters. AND of course the front desk lady starts yelling at me and the manager is trying to calm her down and tell her to not say anything. Needless to say they have poor staff with attitude. I will never step in a PP ever again. Worse service I got in a doctors office..

Im not sure if the bad reviews for this place are actual bad experiences or protesters trying to scare people away but the staff is just so friendly and supportive. Not one person in there was rude or judgemental in the least bit. They had me laughing and smiling when i didnt think i could. My appointment was at 8am and i was done and out by 11:30am. It was very quick and they provided me with all the information i needed. I would highly highly recommend this location to anyone!

The only reason I dont go to the office anymore is because of how far it is from where I live. Otherwise all the service I ever received was timely and accurate. Front desk has something left to be desired of attitude but I got my depo shots for over a year in office and that made it so convenient.

These amazing ladies are quick, efficient, so knowledgeable and helpful. I felt taken care of, supported and in turn I love to support my local Planned Parenthood- thanks Downtown Orlando Planned Parenthood- you rock!

Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando has a wonderful staff of highly knowledgeable, caring people. I have had STD tests done for both myself and my partner at the Eastside Location, and found the staff friendly, and understanding of all my questions regarding STDs.

They gave me so much information, it was a very comfortable, informed visit, i feel comfortable going back there for all my needs, I would definitely reccomend. They were so friendly and it really felt welcoming, i wasnt judged, and the doctor was urgent and very intelligent.

Made an appointment and they did not want to assist me because I had a copay THAT THEY DID NOT TELL ME I HAD and I have insurance through my job. The lady at the desk was very persistent that they would not be seeing me. She told me I had 10 mins to solve the situation and once my issue was solved she said that i could not be seen cause of timing. I will not be coming back

First time going to a Planned Parenthood clinic. Great experience. Staff was friendly and willing to answer any question. Facility is very clean.

Ive been going to this location since I was 16 years old and they have been nothing but wonderful and helpful and supportive. Theyre the reason that nearly a decade later I still go to Planned Parenthood and advocate for them, these women helped me tremendously.

One of the worst planned parenthood’s I’ve been too. Had an appointment for a new birth control pill. Waited for 1.5 hours, people coming in after where going in before me. The wait time for a 5 minute appointment is ridiculous

Went as support for someone getting a procedure done. Upon arrival I was informed I was unable to a company them back. Which wasnt what was said over the phone nor in the packet of information given. If that was the case they shouldnt give false information over the phone or in the packet.

Angela, Sheila & Jackie were so helpful, friendly & professional. They made my visit go smoothly. They made it easy. They were so helpful.

Everything I come here with an appointment it never fails I have to wait like 2hrs to be seen i dont understand the reason for it. I should just walk in and the front desk is so unprofessional and rude it is out of control.

I’ve been calling and calling and calling. Each time i call i have to wait more than 40 min in the line until i get tire to wait. I think is more easy to speak the president of this country than this people...

Incredibly nice and helpful, they even have clinic escorts with umbrellas to walk you in to shield you from all the garbage yelling nasty things at you from the street. Y’all are actual superheroes

The rudest and most terrible service youll ever receive. And dont bother scheduling an appointment, the shortest time I ever waited was one hour. Never going back.

Staff is completely rude. Especially if you can’t copay when you have insurance. Will not come back.

Very rude. I called to ask questions and the lady was rude I asked for a manager and was placed through to another line to press 1 for a different option needless to say I was passed around and got no help.
