Dr. Frankel is the BEST.DOCTOR.EVER and she has a great team that works for her. If you are looking for wonderful care, a calm and kind doctor, and one-stop shopping (womens health, hormones, weight loss, esthetics, products, etc.) then this practice is for you. The best part about an appointment with Dr. Frankel is sitting with her in her office after your exam is over, and having her take the time to actually talk with you about your health and concerns. So refreshing! Five Star Recommendation!

The room I was in looked like It wasn’t touched after the previous patient left. I tried to stay on the positive side until the Dr walked in. Within the first 5 minutes of meeting and talking with her she dismissed the diagnosis I was given in 2019 and have been being treated for. Then she shamed me for having questions about birth control and said my concerns were all lies. I was too stunned to speak up for myself, but I wish I had. I left this office crying. I’m hoping this doctor was just having a bad day and doesn’t treat everyone with that much disrespect. Be careful ladies!!

This office consistently exceeds my expectations! They get me and they understand my needs every time. They are professional without being intimidating, they have incredible knowledge and they are always up to datewith their knowledge. What more could you want??

Absolutely wonderful experience overall. Was a bit doubtful that I could be helped at this point in menopause. I was wrong! Will continue to work with the very knowledgeable Doctor Loren Frankle, shes a true rock star!

From check in to check out the experience here is great! I have never waited longer than 5 minutes and the front desk clerk (Karen) is always nice. Dr Frankel is amazing - very laidback but thorough.

Everytime I look into a procedure Might be interested in nearby this place pops up. While it is in Mount Pleasant, I do not see myself returning to this location. After over 5 years of a very unpleasant experience with the staff today I called with high hopes. I was left on hold twice for over 5 minutes with an extremely rude and hateful secretary. I wish these people were nice, they are far from it.

DO NOT schedule any service with Dr. Frankel or buy Groupon to do botox with Dr. Frankel. She doesnt like to receive who is there to do botox with promotions. VERY UNPLEASENT!She doesnt like to waste her time being polite with new costumer. I lost more time waiting on a room at the side of his office than while I was with her in her office. My time with her in her office was less than 5 minutes, where she was rude to make sure to tell me that the Groupon I could be using only once and for the next time I should pay the full price, cause if not she is loosing money. Something I already knew cause I read this when purchasing Groupon.She just ask me where I would like to use the 40 units of botox without any more attention to let me know that 40 units wasnt enough or to ask where was for me more important to be using it. Not to even ask me to show my wrinkles to her to be knowing where to use. I was feeling so embarrassed to be there that I was without reaction with her way to talk so unpleasant. She just fast as possible went to outside the room and returned few seconds after coming from behind me and putting her hands on my face, passing a wipe on my face and fast as possible doing the injections . I couldnt even see the injection on her hands. She finished the application and realized me. I got 4 days of headache and wait for more the 2 weeks to try to see any result, but nothing. After a time I scheduled an other appointment to try to talk with her about it and I was polite trying to say that worked a little in a point that to tell you the truth I saw nothing. Her answer was that she used the product and if I would like to put more I must pay for that. I said I paid for a service that didnt was delivered at the first time and you want me to pay again without know if it can work, you received the cash but you didnt delivered the service. Since I was bothered she said that she could give me botox in only one place for me do not get out of her office upset. She returned to do the same, she got out from her office and returned without letting me see the injection with the product, already putting hand as fast as she can on my face and the injection, that until today I didnt know if there was something inside. And guess what? The place between my eyebrows, where she put botox for the second time, didnt work. Im really concerned about the profissional and the product. Im trying to received a refund of $316.35 for the no service and nothing until today. Im not the only one on that situation, cause after I met Dr.Frankel I came to read all reviews, not only the good ones and I could check there are other complaints exactly like mine. If you arrived until here reading my review, I would like to ask you to find other professional to whatever you are in need.

My first contact with Palmetto Womens Health was a laser section with Jennifer. She is the best, I felt home and the laser really works. I finished my third section, and I basically have no more hairs.After a good experience with Jennifer I decided to do my preventive care with Dr. Frankel and she didnt disappointed. She care about each of her patients, always fast when I try to reach her, kind and super professional. She made me feel like family.Now I have my gynecologist and esthetician for my laser sections, all in the same place and it is amazing.All staff is incredible!!!

Its ashame to post one star because the doctors may be wonderful. The woman who answered the phone was so brash and unfriendly I didnt get past her collecting my information before telling her Id pass and call somewhere else. They need to replace her with maybe someone that understands customer service. She can leave that abrasive attitude wherever she came from. Customer service is part of the patient experience as a whole.

Dr. Loren Frankel is amazing! And her staff as well! They take care of emergencies, as they should, super “on-top” of it. Routine appointments are timely (never waiting :) taking care of business… I have been going there for 20+ years (as well as our daughters) and I am so impressed with Dr. Frankels & her attention to detail. Ladies, we all know going to the gyno can be an uncomfortable experience, but Dr. Frankel has a natural ability to calm your anxieties about the appointment. I have been going to Dr. Loren for over 10 years. My favorite is how she always takes the time to meet with me at the end of my appointments to go over my results and answer any questions. She never rushes through the information and doesn’t let me leave until my questions are answered. I am so glad I found her!

I had 20 units of botox done by Dr. Frankel. She was very friendly and did an amazing job. I was incredibly nervous about the procedure being painful, but I barely felt anything. The injections took approximately a minute. Highly recommend coming here.

I had such a great experience with the front desk staff but things took a bit of a turn when I saw Dr. Frankel which was very disappointing. I used a groupon for 20 units of botox and feel as if I received poorer treatment from Dr. Frankel because of that. She was very verbal about her disapproval of using a groupon since they take half of the money and told me next time I should book directly with the office. I apologized (because I didnt know what else to say and felt uncomfortable) I sat in her office to discuss where I wanted the injections (less than 2 minute discussion) and I was expecting to go into a sanitary exam room for the actual injections and instead she left the office, came back in a few seconds with a syringe and an alcohol wipe and in 30 seconds gave me my injections and sent me on my way. The whole time (all 5 minutes) she seemed very annoyed to be seeing me and I felt like a huge burden and wanted to get out of there as soon as possible - get back to the nice front desk staff! When she was finished injecting me she sent me off - No post injection instructions (granted, I did tell her I had botox once before 3 years prior so maybe she assumed I remembered) no paperwork, no contact information. It felt very strange and unsettling to me. Based on the other reviews, it sounds like Dr. Frankel is very professional and has great bed side manner towards patients that dont use a discount. (she mentioned that the price would have been the same without the groupon as the standard price is $9.95/unit but that would be $200 for 20 units I paid $155 on groupon, so there was a substantial price difference) Although the customer service I received was subpar - I am two days post injections and so far the results are looking good. She seemed extremely experienced, like shes done this 1,000 times, just wish she would have taken into account that I havent been through this process 1,000 times :( I was very excited for this appointment and drove all the way from Myrtle Beach (2hours) and took a half day off work to get there so it was just a bummer to have a not-so-great experience.

Palmetto Women’s Health is the best place to get hormone replacement in Mount Pleasant. Dr. Frankel’s Biote pellet is an amazing solution to balance hormones. I feel better than I have in years. Not acceptable, sad, unprofessionalMy experience with this practice was not acceptable. The receptionist and nurse were friendly, however, the experience with Dr. Frankel was uncomfortable, and sad to say the least. See my NEW patient experience and make you own decision:In the midst of explaining my symptoms, she answered her cell ph (had a conversation)Within a few minutes of the exchange, referred to cost of services, and indicated it would be a lot... I asked for her about her medical approach to solve my problems, as I was confused with her lack of explanations and insistence on the cost by making comments like its going to cost you and arm and a legCompletely confused, I asked why would my insurance not cover the treatment, and she seemed surprised... in summary they didnt enter my insurance info, as soon as Dr. Frankel figured it out, she walked out the office to talk to her staff.Upon realizing I had insurance, she stated I was pretty much paid for...became engage and pleasant, proceeded to explain her processes, scheduled a lab order and gave me a few books to read.I walked out of the office, feeling discriminated against as a result of the prejudicial treatment I received by Dr. Frankel, her assumptions I didnt have a health insurance or the financial means to receive appropriate health care.Very sad, experience!

Ive had the best experience with Dr. Frankel and her staff at Palmetto Womens Health! I was extremely anxious about trying a new ob-gyn, but I felt safe and comfortable from the minute I walked in, and my appointment was quick and easy. Dr. Frankel answered all of my questions about PCOS and was happy to discuss treatment strategies with me. She was clearly very knowledgeable and I appreciated how she made an effort to really listen to me and offer solutions tailored to my symptoms. You could tell she never hesitates to go above and beyond for her patients. I also ended up booking facial and laser hair removal sessions before I left so I can really start feeling my best. A huge thank you to the entire team at PWH -- I know Im in good hands with yall!

Dr Frankle has been a lifesaver for me! I was recently having a health issue that was misdiagnosed by 2 different ERs and she fought to get me a CT scan and correctly diagnosed (even taking calls while she was on vacation). I recently moved here and she was my only dr. She took amazing care of me and got me on the mend! So grateful for her!

Friendly staff and amazing Doctor. Dr.Frankel is attentive, caring and very thorough. I started seeing her after many years of going to the same OB-GYN that delivered my 2 grown children. I chose her because of the comprehensive list of services that she offered in her office. Once I met Dr. Frankel and had my first visit with her I felt comfortable and at ease talking with her, not to mention, the ease at which she performs typically uncomfortable exams. From the normal female annual healthcare and HRT, to botox, I trust her with it all. The office staff know me by name when I call or walk in the door and that does not happen in larger corporate healthcare offices and it’s much appreciated.

At Palmetto Womens Health the wait is minimal. The Patient client service is A+, Dr. Frankel is personable and listens to you, building your confidence and trust in her. I have been going to Palmetto Womens Health for about 9 years and am very pleased.

A woman who answered the phone when I called to make an appointment was short, cold and not friendly at all. Possibly recommend those who answer the phone to be a bit nicer and inviting.

I rarely leave reviews for places but I absolutely love dr. Frankel and look forward to all of my visits with her (as much as one can look forward to the doctor’s). She is incredibly knowledgable about all the pros and cons of various forms of birth control—I don’t know how she remembers all of that information. I originally saw her to get my nexplanon implant removed (I have had a couple taken out by other doctors) and I have never had a removal go so smoothly. After this, I also began to go to PWH for other care. She does blood work in-office which is great and I can even make an appointment for laser hair removal to be right after my annual which is so convenient. The aesthetic products offered at PWH are top of the line (I highly recommend her epionce products if you have struggled with acne). All of the women in the office are incredibly friendly and helpful. I have always felt safe, comfortable, and cared for in all my appointments here and cannot recommend it more.

Ive been seeing Dr. Frankel for all my GYN needs for years and shes one of the most genuine and honest physician. She explains things easily and never pressures any procedures on me. I see her also from Botox and have seen Jen for Morpheus 8 and more -- its always been great.

Palmetto women’s health is probably one of my favorite doctors. I know there’s a whole stigma with going to the “lady doctor”. Obviously, that part is not fun. However, I have had three babies with this office, 1 miscarriage and worked on my weight loss with these ladies. for the past 11 years, these ladies have taken care of me. They have earned my trust, my respect, and have helped me through some highs and lows. There’s nothing better than women supporting women and that is what you’re going to find in this office.

Dr. Frankel and her staff are top notch! Dr. Frankel was thorough, compassionate, knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable the entire time. She took time to talk to me and answer all the questions I had. Her staff was friendly, helpful and got me in on short notice (miracle workers!). Dr. Frankel is always caring, and Ive only had to wait longer than expected one time due to an emergency. She doesnt overbook and is always willing to help me and listen to me. I have a long term illness and she always considers that when treating me.

I was having a problem and needed to be seen quickly. I was headed home from a tennis tournament. They told me to come straight there. Was seen, diagnosed, and prescribed meds. Love this place. Everyone is so nice and professional.

Dr Frankel was the worst gyno I have ever been to. She’s extremely condescending and literally stepped out of the room to complain about what was going on TWICE as if I couldn’t hear her right outside the door. I was a new patient who came in for an IUD and mistakenly told on the phone I could get an IUD the same day. Instead of just nicely explaining she would not prefer to do so, she says off the bat walking into the room, “You realize you’re not going to get this today right?” And after explaining why I thought so, she said “This is NOT the way I like to do things” and was mad the rest of the appointment. I had a breast exam done due to some concern of my lymph nodes swelling AFTER ANOTHER DR NOTICED WHEN CHECKING ALL MY LYMPH NODES and tried insinuating that I thought the swelling was “razor bumps” by saying “do you ever get little red bumps when you shave?” While rubbing the side of her breast where her lymph nodes are. As if I was confusing the two. After she agreed to do the IUD because I prepared so well, we decided against it when my insurance wouldn’t cover it up front but that’s only because I no longer trusted her to do it or I would have actually paid the $1000 up front. She pulled me out of the patient room into her office to discuss other options but didn’t have information to give me other than pulling numbers off her head which ended up being incorrect after doing some research. Tried to tell me the shot is more effective than the IUD and that “nobody gets pregnant on the shot.” All misleading information and now I’m stuck with the shot for the next 12 weeks.

As always a wonderful experience. Amazing staff and Dr Frankel listens and thoroughly goes through everything with you. Super grateful she was recommended to me.

My first time visiting was this past week and I absolutely loved all of the staff! Everyone was so welcoming, quick to respond, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this office and doctor to others.

My Groupon was not honored. The reason is due to me having one before. However, if it’s advertised, I feel it should be honored. Is that false advertising? The customer should not have to be the one to suffer due to a problem with Groupon and PWH. My Groupon was $155, and I was charged $233. I was told by PWH I had to deal with Groupon to get my money back. Poor business practices.

Dr. Frankel and her staff are amazing. I have never had to wait longer than 10 minutes before I was seen. Everyone was pleasant and everything was explained to me thoroughly. I wasnt just rushed in and rushed out. They genuinely care about their patients. I will definitely continue to go here.

I cant say enough about Dr. Frankel and her staff. My husband was deployed throughout almost my entire first pregnancy and Dr. Frankel was there for me every step of the way. She is so kind and passionate about what she does. Im so thankful that she was my first experience having a baby. I couldnt imagine having done it without her knowledge and support. I hope we are still living here when we have our next baby because I wouldnt want another doctor by my side.I experienced postpartum blues and she was so compassionate and listened to me for as long as I needed to talk. We initially chose Dr. Frankel and Palmetto Womens Health as our OBGYN for my wifes pregnancy. Ill try to describe our experience as objectively as possible in hopes that the office may make improvements. The good: the nurses, like most nurses are great. They were polite, considerate, helpful. The Bad: The lady who works reception needs to work on her people skills. I asked her for pricing breakdown, and she wouldnt provide it. I asked her why we were being billed certain things certain ways, and she wouldnt explain. Shes short with people in general, and she seems to be unable to handle the possibility of being wrong, and that surely we must have done something wrong. My wife needed an ultrasound. She made her appointment, showed up early, was asked, why are you here?, replied for an ultrasound, and was then told that the ultrasound tech wasnt there on Wednesdays and then asked my wife why she would make her appointment on Wednesdays. She replied she didnt know the workings of their office. She assumed that if the office knew she needed an ultrasound that they would schedule her on a day when the ultrasound tech would be there. So they told her to just come back and rescheduled her like time isnt valuable. An organized office would have blackout dates for things like that. Recently, We must have missed a bill so my wife received a call yesterday at 37 weeks pregnant stating that if we didnt pay by Friday we would go to collections. I called and paid over the phone. Bedside manner, particularly for nearly fully pregnant woman, could have been improved, or they could have just called me. I assumed it was the nasty receptionist though I dont know for sure. As for Dr. Frankel: all three times that we went to her offices she was answering emails or on the compute, and acted like she always had something more important to do. I understand if it happened once maybe twice, but after the third time my wife and I were over it. We ultimately decided to change doctors as this office wasnt taking care of us properly. So far there is a marked improvement in the treatment, transparency, and overall organization of the office we are currently with. There is no rude receptionist or indifferent doctor. To Palmetto Womens Health Clinic I hope that you take these critiques seriously and take steps to improve your office and your experience. Theres a lot of choices out there.

Doctor is great, prices are great. However, the office staff is extremely rude (multiple different instances) and I’ll happily pay more for a better experience elsewhere. Save yourself the hassle.

I’ve been avoiding leaving a bad review for over a year now - I kept hoping that if I gave them another chance, I’d be met with a different outcome. I went to this office for a normal OBGYN annual visit in January 2019. I also received a flu shot. Both of these services are covered 100% by my insurance. I received a $90 bill in the mail for a lab fee. This should have also been covered by insurance. When the office filed my insurance, they only photo copied half of my insurance card, so the claim was filed incorrectly. The office tells me insurance isn’t covering it. I contact my insurance, they tell me they never received the claim. The bill then went to collections. I finally got the $90 bill sorted out almost 8 months after it was billed. It is now June of 2020, and I received yet another bill from the same visit. This bill is for $319 for the OBGYN woman wellness visit and then flu shot. This is the first I’m receiving this bill, or info that there might have been an issue - over a year and a half later!? So I am now dealing with my OLD insurance and Palmetto’s billing department. (The billing dept. has been as helpful as they can be, so a HUGE thank you to them!) The REAL issue is with the front office staff of this office. I’m not sure if it’s from rushing through tasks or just pure laziness, but it appears that they do not care if they file your insurance or not. They’ve now waited so long to file a claim that my insurance is saying they won’t cover it - so I now owe $319 for a wellness exam that would have otherwise been covered at 100%. I’ve heard other women have the same issues. They even have a sign up in their office that says something about not being responsible if your insurance is filed wrong - not sure exactly what it says, but I remember seeing it and thinking that seemed super strange. AVOID THIS DOCTOR’S OFFICE FOR YOUR OWN SANITY. I really hate it too, because Dr. Frankel is a great doctor. Sadly, I will never be back to this office and will be going to a different OBGYN. I’m afraid to give them ANOTHER chance, because I’ll probably receive a bill a year or so from now & be dealing with the same issue. What’s the point of paying for insurance if the doctor’s office doesn’t even file the claim in time for it to be covered?

Dr. Frankel and her staff are consistently courteous and efficient.. having worked in healthcare/gyn for 15+ years myself I am impressed each time I’ve gone into the office.

Dr Frankel is absolutely wonderful she listened to me and treated me as a person who happens to be plus size. She is empathic and follows the science.

Dr. Frankel helped me tremendously understand what was going on with my weight issues - she didnt just write a prescription, she worked hard with me on my individual needs. Ellen was always supportive during my weight loss and never journey and Ive lost 15 lbs and kept it off. She always was encouraging even on the weeks I would gain a pound.

My wife has been going here since we moved to Charleston, and today we decided to find a different doctor. To put it bluntly, these people will completely rob you. My wife has visited the doctor here twice, both times we have received multiple bills for outrageous amounts of money that insurance would have covered. The billing department at this office does not file insurance correctly, we have used two different insurance agencies that have both confirmed this. Basically, what they do is they wait a very long time to file your insurance and then they file it incorrectly. Since they wait so long, insurance will then claim it is not their responsibility. Then it falls on you to pay the bill. Today we received a 300$ bill for a gyno visit from over a year ago, almost two years ago I believe. At the time, we checked with her insurance to ensure they would cover it, and while she was there we paid the copay, so we know they checked to make sure insurance covered it. Since this is not the first time it has happened, im posting this as a warning. Avoid them at all costs.

Very clean, friendly, professional enviroment. Dr. Frankel makes you feel comfortable to talk to and explains any concerns.

Dr. Frankel is more hormone life saver! Having a child later in life, dealing with PCOS & more - her and her staff are beyond amazing.

I bought a groupon for b 12 shots & lipo shots. When I arrived at my appt, I had to wait over an hour to be seen. My consultation with the Dr was stupid! She basically showed me some overly priced health shakes packages and said if u want it get it but Im no sales person,so its whatever! They put me on a scale gave me a shot and shoved me out! They lady at the desk is RUDE! You ask her anything she thinks shes doing you a favor not her job! I had like 8 shots to get as post of my groupon and have yet to go back cuz of how poorly I was treated!

My wife went here off of a Groupon for some of their non-gyno services and was converted into a patient. She has been really happy with the service and the people and yes it’s a smaller office but she says everyone is responsive and quick scheduling for her is a plus.

I only visited this office once but I wont be going back. Dr. Frankel was very nice and I have no issues with her. But her staff is disappointing. I was prescribed a medication during my visit and was told it may require pre-authorization from my insurance company. I was given some samples just in case. Ok no problem. I understand this happens. My pharmacy informed me that it does need pre-auth. Ok. I wait a few days, then a week. I call the office and ask if its done yet and if my insurance company approved it. A woman said she was working on it but could give me more samples to hold me over. Then I wait another week and still dont hear anything. I call back and Im told that the woman who was working on it is out of the office and will be for several days and will be back in on Tuesday. But she sees no notes, nothing in my chart about needing pre-auth. Nothing. Umm ok? Im told to stop in and pick up more samples and that she would leave a message for the woman working on my medicine. Tuesday comes and goes. No phone call. Nothing. Several more days go by and Im getting pissed. Im a patient person but come on. Plus by this point, I have questions about the medication and Ive already been on it for several weeks. If I want to get off of the medication now, I would have to wean off. So I call back AGAIN and tell them the whole story about how Ive been waiting forever and havent heard anything back and how I need my prescription. I also asked about the correct dosing for weaning off the medicine. Whoever I spoke with ( I forget their names), said I would receive a call back. More days went by and nothing. I googled on my own and found out how to decrease the dose and weaned off the medicine myself. This was all used from the samples as I still hadnt received my actual prescription, at over a month later. I call back one final time. I tell the woman on the phone the whole story and how I never received a call back multiple times and also I never received an answer to my question. She tried to get the doctor to answer my question on the spot but she was in a room with another patient. She said I would receive a call back within an hour. Lol no. That was the last time I spoke with that office. They never called me back. Im done. Its unacceptable to simply not call your patients back, to not answer their questions. I never found out what happened with my medication. I dont know if they ever even submitted it to my insurance. Did they lose everything? Why was there no record of them trying to get the pre-auth from my insurance company? I would recommend looking elsewhere for a doctors office. Im a pretty understanding and laid back person but this was just too much.

She was patient, listened carefully to my concerns, explained every step of the exam.She was not condescending or rushed. A nice balance between sympathetic caring and professionalism. I will definitely be her long-term patient.

I’ve been a patient for over 5 years and I definitely recommend this practice. The staff is always friendly, personable and I trust their information and advice.

I purchased a rather pricey facial combination for a mothers day present for my mom, of whom it took forever to convince her to do one to begin with. They changed appointment times a days 3 times and when they FINALLY got her in they did what was supposed to be a hour and a half treatment in 25 mins.. Completely unprofessional and a scam!!

Great staff, great service, and punctual. Have been getting laser hair removal (my face) for a year now. Still going to go back.

Most amazing Doctor I have ever had. Been seeing her for almost 10 years as my GYN and recently just had my first child that she brought into this world for me. Very knowledgable and cares about her patients.

Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Dr. Frankel talks to you in laymans terms and takes the time to listen to your concerns.

The entire staff at Palmetto Women’s Health is fantastic- they make you feel valued and not as a # to be rushed through the office.

I made an appointment for Feb. 15, 2016. On a Friday before my appointment they left a message telling me they were rescheduling my appointment to March 15, 2016. Why four weeks later? That they had to many appointments that day. I then read their reviews and realized this is a place I want to deal with.

I’ve been coming to this office for about 2 years now. Dr. Frankel is awesome. I haven’t had any issues with her or her staff.

The most horrible experience ever. There were a number of transgressions, the most aggrieved being she performed an anal inspection without my knowledge or consent. (The only reason for that is if you are being tested for hemorrhoids). She smelled like smoke and cigarettes, was half an hour late with no apologies, failed to complete the vitals, charged for tests I never got results for, did not prescribe the correct dosage for my medication, and finally, the phone number for her business has been changed from the number I have and the number listed on Google search.

The doctor was very informative and truly took her time to talk on a one on one and did not rush.
