I wish the person at the front desk was better at explaining the process and could have saved me waiting over an hour+ in line for a simple rapid test which resulted in many people who came after me being called BEFORE me. There should be better transparency for first time visitors. I would have gone to the location in West Hollywood had I know this would take so long.

This location is awesome! Very pleasant ambiance, kind and wonderful staff, and simple check in with existing Healthvana account. Thank you Miguel for the super smooth blood draw! 🙏 I often have issues but he found one of my small veins quickly and efficiently! I so appreciate this resource to stay on top of my health.

Maddeningly hard to take an appointment during workday given unpredictable and often long wait times about which front desk makes clear they are not only helpless but indifferent. The services are free / affordable and useful when you finally get them!

I’ve lost my medicine and wait for 1 hour for rapid test and see doctor for replacement medicine.😒OMG

Easy, accessible, and friendly staff. The waits do take awhile, but great having access to services when between health insurance carriers. Can’t comment on the quality of other AHF locations, but grateful for the services provided here. I waited about 45mins-1hr to chat with a counselor. Test results are some of the fastest I’ve seen, getting them within two days of testing. Even if you can’t afford regular visits, recommend donating when you can.

Had a worker imply that I wasnt seggsually active even though I was clearly there for a reason lol. I asked about getting tested for herpes because I wasnt sure if the symptoms Id been having were related to that and he said We dont offer that. Also, youd have to be seggually active to get them. No shxt? I was just in shock by his rude behavior and was like thanks.It was pretty humiliating. I can only assume it was about my size or race or something. Either way, that was my last visit and Ive been trying to find somewhere else to get tested. The nursing/testing staff is nice but maybe find new counselors.

This place is awesome. A serious upgrade from their previous offices at the Hollywood Presbyterian. Very spacious and clean office, plenty of seating. Amazing staff, theyre all very friendly and informative from the receptionist to the medical team. Stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon and I was the only one there, got out in less than 30 minutes 😊

I went in for a routine STI check and got all my results back 2 days later.The team was professional and accommodating. There was a long wait when I originally arrived, and I needed to leave and come back after work. When I came back later the same day, they took me in immediately and already had all my paperwork ready & set aside for me. Easy!

Got an STI screening, everyone was kind and generous with their time. Got results within 1-2 days.Be prepared to wait. I arrived shortly after they opened and was seen by a screening professional about 30-45 mins later. If you line up before they open you’ll probably have less of a wait.Fantastic place offering free STI healthcare! Absolutely worth whatever wait you may experience.

Get there about 30 min before they open to avoid a line. They work very efficiently and quickly regardless. Some of the kindest folks Ive ever been treated by, feel very grateful every time I go. No shame, no stigma, just health & love.

Bradley was incredible!!! He was so thorough, asked questions and allowed me to ask questions too. He helped make me feel confident and informed before leaving. And also calm as going to get tested can be a nerve racking experience. His patient care, compassion and trauma informed care was top-tier. He should be training all the employees on this 😭 seriously best doctor I’ve ever seen ever

This place is USELESS. They are the WORST. Policy over people . They give out false information like its candy and they find every reason to NOT treat patients. Even if you come in symptomatic and in pain they will NOT treat you. HORRIBLE PLACE-AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The service was quick, very fast greeting and friendly! Plus it was free and you can’t beat that, I got recommended before this tk another place that just to be seen before treatment was 172$, I had to decline because I didn’t have it and it was just a routine check so this was very awesome! I waited no more than 30-45 mins before I was called in and out! And results are sent through a website in less than a week with text and email notification. I highly recommend

Im trying to get a hold of someone at this location regarding results and it is impossible. I get redirected to a mailbox that is asking me to enter a pin to access my mailbox. Please update your contact information, AHF Western. This is an issue with all options on the menu.Update; I can see that this has been an issue for quite some time and it is pretty embarrassing judging from the other reviews.

Checked in with the QR code, outside building..walked in they gave me a page to fill out them waited not long to be called in ... Personnel was friendly and professional... Results took 4 days..

The best experience I’ve ever had at a clinic. Everyone was so kind and professional. Adrian was so sweet and professional. No judgemental stares or comments. I was nervous to get a shot in my arm and the nurse immediately came to my side with friendly and comforting conversation to distract me. I got there like 11:38 am (before it opened at 12 noon) and I was gone by approximately 1:30 ish. I hope they keep up the good work. Yes they are free but donations are accepted.

Several people who tested here were negative for STDs but were actually positive. It was only when they got sick with Chlamydia and advanced PID and tested positive elsewhere that they realised these results at the AHF Wellness Centre were false. What kind of tests are conducted here that gives false negative readings? One person actually has a seriously inflamed uterus and fallopian tubes and her fertility is under threat. How terrible. This is irresponsible. Please beware.

I didn’t want to disclose myself, but my overall experience here was great until I actually sat down with my counselor and I thought the guy was kind of rude and flirtatious in an environment like that. I thought it was very disrespectful. “ LeeAndre” Need more training also boundaries.

Today was my first visit to AHF. I got there about 10 min before opening and there was a short line of people waiting. They gave everyone a number upon entering and moved quickly to get everyone in and out. Overall took about an hour, was able to get screened on my lunch break. Will update with my experience with treatment if necessary (hopefully not!). Will come back for future screenings to this location. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

First time here today and was very impressed. They have parking which is good. Check in on phone or computer inside and get a number. Wait outside for number to be called. See an intake person, rapid hiv test. Then wait for bloodwork, swabs or urine tests. And wait for results on website or app. There was a line of people waiting as soon as they opened. Overall they move pretty fast tho. Was very scared of the needles but the guy who took my blood made it close to painless. Very nice people! Thank you AHF!!!!

Update 10/7/22: They now offer express testing which I found convenient. Was in and out in about 30 min. Nurse and counter staff were friendly.The service at this location varies. Seems like theres a high turnover rate. Ive had great experiences in the past with some of the staff, but my last visit was not good.Its a free service, but be prepared to wait an hour or 2.

Great staff and easy check in. Free parking in the back. As of June 2022, you scan a qr and check in using a link. The person inside gives you a number and then you wait to be called. The staff here are extremely professional but friendly. Theres plenty of seating and free condoms while you wait. Get tested!

I had great experience here, all the staff was kind and helpfull. It is a walk in and free service, you are given a number and you are waiting a bit to be called, but it is not so long. I had it all done in around an hour and a half.

Everyone on staff was super friendly & helpful throughout my whole visit. I waited for about an hour & during that time i felt super comfortable & welcomed.. Definitely worth the visit !

I wouldnt go anywhere else.I tell everyone about it. No matter what part of LA, its worth the trip for the comfort level and its really easy and FREE!Theres no judgment, super clean, totally professional and everyone seems to be liking their job. + the hours are great - - Dont get me wrong, Ive only been there twice! Absolutely terrible. I got there literally at opening, only for them to forget I was ever there and have me wait for 3 hours. They kept calling random numbers so I figured it wasn’t in numerical order. Once the lobby was literally empty, is when I finally went up to the counter and reminded them of my existence. “Oh my gosh we are so sorry for that? You will be the very next person called” is what they tell me.I sit back down, only for them to call other patients instead of me. Patients that got there HOURS after me. This is absolutely not acceptable. Wasted and ruined my entire day waiting in a cold, crusty and drab lobby. DO BETTER.

Simple uncomplicated place for an HIV test or STI treatment procedure.Can be somewhat quick (first come, first served, I arrive close to the time they open usually a person or two already waiting when I arrive as the line can get LONG later in the day which results in spending hours waiting) Staffed by a friendly professional team..

It’s impossible to get someone on the phone. They have me and my sisters account mixed up so my rapid results came back with her name on them. Smh. Yet I can’t get into contact with anyone that works here.

They help the community, but they’re way to slow be prepared to spend at least 2 hours here. AHF on west Addams are super fast if you’re on a rush. Other than the wait time clean place !

Amazing. AHF was always good to the community but my god how they have improved in the last year or so. The staff at this place got better and better that now most of the time you walk-in are done within minutes. Thank you so much for this. Can’t be thankful enough for your service and all you do for the community.

They dont test for herpes and hep c which is preposterous because herpes is the only disease that will stay in your body for ever and hep c to be cured takes a big toll on your body ..So they should absolutely help prevent the spread of those terrible disease too

Was denied treatment service today! The black tall woman doctor was rude had a disgusting attitude! I thought the place was trans friendly but I guess not. The woman made me feel nasty when she took a look at me! Thank God I didnt commit suicide when I left. We have to do better as black people!

Places like Hollywood Pres, Good Sam, LA Community and Cedars need to take note - this is how its done.This is how you raise your patient satisfaction scores (HCAHPS).Luis is great, clear and knowledgeable. You can tell he really cares and knows his stuff.Maria Aryal should get a raise and promotion. She got my vein when its notoriously difficult.Forgot how it felt to be cared for. Its here.

I attempted to get tested here, and i felt extremely judged by one of the workers. Some questions I understand you have to ask but to ask a really invasive question that has nothing to do with my visit. Thanks Jasmine for making me feel so uncomfortable! Planned Parenthood here i come!

Terrible experience. I was refused treatment even though I was experiencing symptoms and had a known exposure. Never coming here again.

IMPOSSIBLE TO GET AHOLD OF SOMEONE AT THE CLINIC AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Literally took an entire panel for STD testing and its been over a week and a half with ZERO results. Mind you, they tell you 48 hours when youre on site..... Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thankfully I have insurance and can visit an urgent care TODAY.

You dont have to pay absolutely nothing. Super fast and you can get tested for everything, dont even have to be examined by a doctor! No embarrasing questions either. Fast results too, at the most 5 day wait.

Great place to get tested, its clean, and the staff is professional. The wait though, average of 90 mins. Ugh, eat before or take a snack.

Im super thankful for all that they do. If you need sti/std treatments and testing they are a great place to visit if you dont have access to a regular dr. They have a pharmacy around the corner, with a thrift store and a gym.However if youre on a time crunch I would cushion your appointment with probably an hour, they get super busy and sometimes feels like theyre maxed out at capacity with their current staff. Even if you have an appointment dont expect to walk in and be seen right away, Ive had prep renewal appointments visits and still had to wait in the long line that sometimes forms. If youre brand new to AHF expect a lengthy time wise visit. They do a very good job. It is a center where you can come and have your routine STD exams done, they are completely free and confidential. You can also make a donation so that more people can continue to be helped.

Very bad, before everything was different, now there are about three times that I go there and of those 3 times they never have treatment, so I dont understand why they do the tests if they are not going to have treatments.

They are friendly and serve very well, the results dont take long 😊
