Easy to navigate website. Memberships are pricey for no reason though. And if you buy more sperm than you need they only give you 50% of what you bought it for even if you stored it with them. (Which also costs money).It’s a great and easy website but they charge for everything.

I do NOT recommend this place. Their prices are so high and their customer service is the worst. We had to submit paperwork for shipping so many times because they would lose it or say they never got it and after they finally did and it was supposed to ship, they never shipped! Even after an email confirmation for shipping. Go anywhere else, it shouldn’t be this hard when paying so much money.

Expense, yes. But highly effective sperm! Got pregnant on first Iui cycle with this donor sperm. And I was pleased to see all the information provided on each donor. I’m a very happy pregnant mama right now :). Call and ask for a free subscription trial.

California Cryos customer service is absolutely top notch. We worked with Kim and she was amazing. She went above and beyond to help us place our order, keeping me posted on the process (even after work and on the weekend!!). I could tell she wasnt just doing this as a job but was personally committed to doing everything she could to help us in our journey to start a family. When it comes to starting a family, California Cryo Bank understands what it takes in order for you to decide on who that special person is going to be. There is so many aspects that go into it, and we are so so grateful that we were able to find our donor in so many different aspects. When it comes down to the personality, the genetics, the family history, the fact that we could hear his voice and hear a conversation with our donor and, it helped us understand more of who he is as a person, but also being a complete stranger, it gives you a feeling of acceptance and approval and happiness. Thank you California cry Bank for everything you do for families.

The shameless price gouging is so insulting and slimy, pure greed at its finest. I first bought sperm in October 2022 when the price per vial was $1,250 (my chosen donor donated the sperm in 2011 and 2012, so no updated genetic testing has been done, this is sperm that has been sitting frozen for over a decade). The price increased to $1,600 in November 2022 then was $1,895 by December 2022. It has been $1,895 per vial until 11/15/2023 (5 days ago) when that same sperm donated all those years ago is now $2,195 per vial.What accounts for this 76% price increase in one years time? I also live in Los Angeles, 18 minutes from California Cryobank, yet I am not allowed to pick up a sample myself, instead I HAVE to pay for delivery - $220 (or $250 on the weekend) to have someone from Pearl Transportation unload the cryotank box out of the trunk of their Honda Civic. I could easily go and pick it up myself, I have to drive it to my fertility clinic myself anyway, but again, people want to take advantage of anyone in fertility as much as they possibly can.Take note to anyone who is on the journey that to keep your sanity that you will be working with crooks along the way. They are an obstacle to dodge to hopefully start a family, and try to keep that your focus. Lets also do what we can to try to keep these companies as transparent as possible.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience with California Cryobank. Everyone is always so nice and accommodating. I recently spoke with a lovely agent named Maria Lee. She was attentive, personable, and went out of her way to ensure we had all of the information requested. If you ever get a chance to speak with her, just know youre in great hands! She truly cares about her customers.

Summary: Customer service is not helpful. Also they have significantly increased their prices in the past year, which has made our family planning journey very difficult.I called customer service to ask for help and to see if there were any discounts or packages I could buy. I wanted to ask since their prices had risen quite rapidly in the past few months (which was rather distressing having saved up for this). Customer service rep said there’s nothing he could do, they’ve been acquired by another company that wants to set much higher prices.

Horrible company. My husband stored specimens and has since passed away. They misinformed us at the time of creating the account and now Im unable to retrieve vials. My husband signed paperwork in their office that would allow me to retrieve the vials at any time for my personal use. They knew his condition was terminal, and they led us to believe that I would still have access to the specimins even after his passing. Ive paid for storage for several years since his passing and they refuse to refund me even though theyre telling me that Im unable to have access to the account due to their blatant neglect to give correct information regarding access to his account. Was told his specimens will basically be sitting there in storage indefinitely and Ill never even have access to them. Makes me wonder if theyll be used for other purposes. Im absolutely DISGUSTED by this company and have heard many others make similar complaints about them not giving accurate information when creating an account. I also am never able to get someone to answer the phone there, they only respond to email.

Only giving 2 stars to warn people. This company truly deserves a no star rating. Their customer service is abysmal at best, and they hide shipping fees of $250 deep within their website rather than include it in the checkout. They strategically give you the runaround when you call customer service claiming “I’m not sure who you talked to” every single time. I would never recommend someone use this company who wants to grow their family. You will be met with disappointment and frustration. The company has slimy business tactics.

California Cryobank was recommended by the fertility clinic I worked with to conceive. I was pleased with the number of donors available (388 when I was searching in early 2021), the filters by which to search/narrow down, and the amount of information offered (even an audio interview). While choosing my donor, I was pleasantly surprised at how difficult it was because all options seemed top notch! I purchased 8 vials of my donors specimen because I hope to have 2 children and the purchase process was a simple 10-minute phone call. When I scheduled my procedure with my local clinic, California Cryobank shipped the specimen in good time. I was successful on my first IUI procedure and welcomed a son in early 2022.

I am a single mother by choice, so I have few options when it comes to getting pregnant in a safe manner that also results in a healthy child. I get that this is a for-profit company and they dont owe me anything. However, I do believe that there should be some kind of moral standard in a company whose sole purpose is to assist in creating life. Their business deals with a vulnerable population: people who desperately want to have a family and are limited in their abilities to do so naturally. I live a few minutes from the facility and know that it costs $30 to have my fertility meds delivered by Pearl (local delivery company), yet California Cryo charges me around $250 for the same company to make that $30 delivery. The vial prices are also insane. And they know that we will find a way to come up with the money to pay for it until we simply cant anymore or until we get pregnant. They have a corner on the market and have all the power to charge whatever they want, and I get it, they have every right to do so. But just because they can, doesnt mean they should. I feel the same about pharmaceutical companies. Finally, I hate that every month, just before my IUI cycle, I have to deal with these crooks. We are supposed to be calm and relaxed while TTC, and Cali Cryo tests my zen every couple months with some new fee or some ridiculous price increase. I think they have such high ratings/reviews bc people forget about all the shady business policies once they are pregnant. They are really just giving 4-5 stars for their babies. No thanks to California Cryo for my future baby because I know I paid above and beyond for them.

My wife and I have been waiting for a refund for over 3 weeks. We have called 3-4 times and each time we have been told we have to wait. It does not take three weeks to process a return. We have been lied to repeatedly by customer service staff saying that they went ahead and processed the return but when we call to follow up they have to “initial the return with manager approval AGAIN”. This is unbelievable. Seems like this place is more interested in your money than you. I’d go somewhere.

The decision to become parents was one that took us on a roller coaster of emotions and decisions! And California Cryobank helped give us enough options that we really felt we had a choice! We were able to find a donor that matched what was important to us and allowed us a wide range of options to help us feel confident in our donor. The amount of history provided helped us prepare for parts of this roller coaster so we can enjoy the process rather than worry about it. We have enough of that with a new human on the way!! This is by far the best Cryobank. I looked at a few others here and there but California had a broader selection of donors, were helpful when I had questions, and overall it was as seamless and easy as it could go. They are the most trustworthy out there and are honest and upfront about supporting and helping the LGBTQ+ community where they can which I appreciate. If you’re looking and aren’t sure where to go or which to choose, this is the one!

Overall my wife and I had a very positive dealing with CCB. My only issue was the shipping. When we made our purchase and had it shipped, we were told to contact FedEx for any shipping issues. We did end up having an issue, turns out we were misinformed, and we were supposed to contact CCB directly. This ended up being a huge inconvenience and loss of money for us.

I have been with these guys for 8 years now first time I had a successful pregnancy not so lucky after but I had an issue with order ici or iui different not only did they send out another for free she also refunded me for shipping part great people I love it there it took management not even day to respond to my complaint thanks alit

I received an anatomically defective sample from Canada Cryobank via Canada Cryobank. My fertility doctor told me not to use that donor ever again. I still cannot believe that they do not have adequate screening processes in place. Awful, just awful.

LGBTQ family. Quick, painless process and we felt very comfortable throughout. Outside genetic testing recommended by our fertility clinic is a must in our opinion. We personally bought enough vials for both of us to carry and elected to store them with our fertility clinic just for ease of transfer. We went with IUI and 2nd try took. Currently pregnant with twins! Wed recommend Cali Cryo to anyone whos looking for credible and reputable sperm donor services.

Overall, I had a good experience. I was mailed vials on time and I was even able to use my HSA to pay for them. My only complaint is that my donor ran out of sperm, and I didnt even know that it was his final inventory until it was too late. I had been following him, and I wish there were a way that you could be notified about these things.

$895 dollars for IUI premium sperm. Sperm count? 4 million. Yes, thats right. Well below optimal and well below ideal. To say that we are disappointed is an understatement. I will submit the substandard specimen form as advised but well see if we get our money back/credit. All of my fertility expenses are out of pocket so this is a devastating blow to us.

If I could give no stars I would. This place is unprofessional, understaffed and unwilling to provide adequate customer service. They have given me the run around for a refund for over a month. After several attempts to speak with a manager I had to dispute the charges through my credit card. Dont do business with these people they are a scam.

Decided to go with this bank over the others. Seemed they had alot more donors to choose from. So glad I did because my donor and my egg stuck on my 1st transfer and Im happy to say Im pregnant with a little boy.

Awful.They charged my credit card without my consent.When I called to question this the so called manager just wanted to attack the tone in which I was speaking and not fix the problem.I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company to fix things.

Terrible. Their only interest is MONEY. They dilute the sperms and pour into many vials to sell. I bought premium vials but the motile sperm count was extremely low even it was not fit to minimum requirement to conceive it for IUI. Moreover, the shipment slip shows ballooned numbers which are not belonging to the vial you have purchased but it belongs to a sample vial that you have not received. Very deceptive business practice They ruin the cycles and make women loss the opportunities to get pregnant. Each failure means to spend more monies to buy more vials and make them to earn more money. BE AWARE! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

It’s the second time in the last two years they’ve raised their prices. They use to be cheaper then other cryobanks, but now they’re just as expensive. This process is already heartbreaking enough without having to bankrupt people.

The sperm arrived from the US to Australia in a timely manner without the long delay. Im very happy with the process of ordering the sperm and the results that I got.
