After days of repeatedly trying to contact my assigned housing specialist four of my friends witnessed something that they couldnt believe as they heard a APLA SPA 6 housing supervisor Jokely laughing and fellow personnel in the back round laughing that my assigned housing worker tried to contact me but my contact number wasnt accurate on my applicationKnowing she could have still contacted me through email which he failed to acknowledge as a form of communication then he went on to say I didnt meet the deadline which I know I did cause the deadline was that Friday and I was there a day before on a Thursday which took the entire day and looked over three times for any errors by two other staff members as he went on to say was incomplete but couldnt tell what was missing that the housing authority hasnt detailed them about it yet going on to say that it was denied and that I can seek services at a later date after being unhoused for a year and a half with no housing services from their staff of housing specialist I was treated as if my homelessness was irrelevant as he hung up in my face and there is no use filing a grievance cause its. Going to be ignored just like the last one

Ive been coming to this clinic for the last 6 years. First I would like to say how kind and helpful and respectful the staff is (receptionists)(billing)(referrals) and also (dental staff) and my wonderful dental Dr. Brooks. And one last wonderful person Dr.fox. But unfortunately thats where it ends. I wont be specific on saying names because I dont think that will be helpful and I want what I say to be an eye opener and maybe a teaching moment for doctors and nurse practioners. I have been complaining for years about symptoms I had been having they did bloodwork after bloodwork and all they ever said is your fine and everything is normal but it wasnt true there where things on my bloodwork that was not normal and were red flags but nothing was ever done or maybe it was that they did NOT do the proper bloodwork on me. I requested on several occasions to see a rhuematologist because I had a feeling it had to be autoimmune related because of my symptoms and they never referred me because they kept saying I was fine. Im SO angry because my health is not good. It hasnt been good for years. And instead of investigating further they just said maybe I had anxiety and or depression so lets go ahead and prescribe me mental pills THATS THERE ANSWER . I just want to say this STOP! making your patients think they are crazy or hypochondriacs. Your jobs as doctors is to help people not make them feel worse. One last thing I want to mention is It took one doctor one visit one blood test to find out that I have an autoimmune disease. That no one else in 6 years found. She is an angel and excellent doctor Im so grateful that she believed me THANK YOU SO MUCH DR. FOX . Lastly For all patients please dont ever stop fighting for yourself be your own advocate dont conform if you dont feel right about something they are saying.

This location is awful. They do not honor appointments, made months in advance. They do not contact you when they cancel your appointment. And when you try to figure out why it happened, they will call security over. Stay away from this clinic. Rude Staff, poor management.

I would like to say like going to this clinic but until today 7/1/24I was scheduling an appointment at Apla health in Baldwin hills on coliseum and la Brea. The representative sitting in the front is really rude... Hung up the phone before I was done asking my questions.i really hope management talks to her about her customer service.

My mother has been received low quality care for 3 years from Kevin M Tangonan that has led to worsening leg pain/inflammation and incorrect referrals recently after my mothers week stay at a hospital that has severely delayed her post-op care. Which is why I have finally decided to post our review to prevent this from happening to anyone else. I highly recommend that you consider a different clinic, or if this is a clinic you are assigned do not get care from Kevin M Tongonan. Our family had a very disappointing experience, and are looking to change doctors and clinics for our mothers care.

The quality nurse practitioner left abruptly. Rae has been the only receptionist that has consistently been helpful, friendly, and respectful. The clinic director has no medical certification or licensing, specialized in mechanical and electrical engineering despite working there since 2006. This is a great place to be treated like a nuisance.

They are kind (not necessarily nice), professional and almost perfect. However 1 I think they can pick up their phones more often for scheduling (adjustment) and 2 they can shift 1 week day schedule to Saturday regularly so that it is more accessible to people who need to work in different schedules. They deserve more funding and more staff

Its been 6 years of pure dental bliss at this clinic, and the level of service has been nothing short of outstanding. While Im sad to see Dr. De Vente go, Im excited to see what wonders Dr. Tanganan will perform. The appointment desk response time has dramatically improved - I called this morning and before I could even finish singing the chorus of Hakuna Matata, I was already talking to a human. The entire team, from the receptionists to the lab techs to the dental staff, are like a well-oiled machine, friendly, professional, compassionate, and always willing to bend over backward to accommodate your needs. And, if youre looking for a hassle-free way to communicate with your doctor, the patient portal is your one-stop-shop for everything from requesting refills to asking questions and getting answers directly from the doc. All in all, this clinic is truly a dental haven.

I’ve never in my life had this big of an issue trying to reach a doctor or doctors office. I’ve had to go to urgent cares and ER’s to be seen since I can’t reach my primary care doctor. I’ve even tried walk-ins with no luck. My last ER visit the doctor included an urgent message for my primary care to bring me in immediately to refer me to a urologist, not only did they not reach out to me at all for almost a week, I had to call multiple times before reaching someone who tried to schedule me a month away. Currently looking for a new primary care facility because there’s no way it should be this hard and had I known I would’ve never picked Apla Baldwin hills.

First time when I visited, I felt their new office was very modern and nice, and I saw one of their nurse practitioner Ann, she was nice. Second time, they changed to Wayne ho to me, so a couple of days ago, when I went to to do test and check my stomach problem, he told an intern doctor to see me, and I was waiting for an hour and he still didn’t see me. And then I told them I wanted to do my test and go back to work, so they did my test. Ho also didn’t apologize to me for not seeing me or waiting for 1 hour.When I received my test result, one thing is lower than the normal index, I contacted them twice and they never responded to me. I thought this is something they should have contacted me if my test result is not good. Front desk is not friendly either, overall, very bad experience with this random clinic and random doctor!

8/10 times I have a positive experience here, but I dont understand why they never pick up their phones. Ive been trying to schedule an appointment with them for three weeks, left a voicemail every time I called, and they finally pick up only to let me know they need to speak to another person before I can schedule an appointment. I was told it could take up to another 24 hours. For a health center, they need more urgency- especially with a global pandemic happening.

Great place been with them for years. Its really awesome to see a place change over time and progress into something bigger and better. APLA has managed to obtain an actual medical and dental office. But not only did they do that theyve managed to get it all in one facility. Do not hesitate to come here its a facility that will help with with anything you need from health and dental, to everyday life. Come inside take a look talk to people give it a chance I know you will love it.

Its ok in the medical department but in the housing they treat you as if your on parole instead of having a health illness and being stressed out trying to find stable housing while looking for employment . They dont pick up the phone. And some of the supervisors have a attitude like there hearts dont seem truly In it . Seems as if some of the supervisors act more like parole officers instead of case managers should have a lil more empathy not everyone has the same situation . I was there three months ago and never went back.

Today I visited the APLA Health Center. Unfortunately had such a bad terrible experience. One of the staff members was very disrespectful to me. I had over the phone schedule an appointment. I arrived thinking it was scheduled for today. I tell one of the staff who attended me he checks and sees the appointment is scheduled for next month. He in front of my face just began to laugh like if I was a clown. Just for the fact that I walked in the wrong date. I get it if the person smiles but made it so obvious the whole staff was laughing together with him at Me !!!! Did not ended there he tells me to step inside to fill out the paper work and just because I had never been to this place walked in the wrong place He laugh so loudly together with the staff at me!!! them all laughing so loudly even the lady who was giving me the paperto fill out. This all just became super uncomfortable and disrespectful. Never standing foot at this place. I had never in my life been so disrespected at a Health Center I visited just for this mistakes that can happen to any one.

Called for dental didn’t answer their phones and didn’t call back when I left a voicemail. I went in person to make an appointment because I had a bad case of a toothache and said they weren’t taking new clients. The receptionist was no help.

The Red Circle Project is one of the groups that is held twice per month both at the Gleicher/Chen Health Center located at: 3743 South La Brea Avenue, Los Angeles, California 90016.They also sometimes hold their meetings and groups at their other location over on Wilshire Boulevard in Koreatown, but I think for right now they will be held over here.In the pictures that I am posting, you can see the Red Circle Group visiting the Santa Monica Pier back on Thursday, October 27, 2016.At the same time, it was also a going away party for Mikaela who is returning back to her familys home country in Samoa sadly. So many of us are affected by Hiv/Aids in one way or another. So APLA is the place you would want to be affiliated with. They offer a wide variety of services to cater all your needs. Nurse, Doctors, nutrion classes, yoga classes, counseling, mental health, housing assistance, food bank, and A whole lot of Love💖💖💖The photos are from this years 2018 Womens Christmas Luncheon. It was Awesome 😎😎😎Also there are many location all around, to reach as many as needed.
