We had an appointment on 9/11/24. Our appointment was @3:15 Altamed says that to check in 15 min before your appointment. I agree and come in time. We got there at 3 was with the receptionist for 5 min. Asked my daughter’s information and we sat down. Our check in time was @3:15. 3:15 passed I said I will give it 15more minutes maybe they’re behind. I was very patient. Time passed and I asked what’s the update the lady said she was going to send them a message. Meanwhile there’s other kids my daughter’s age who were getting passed by us before us. I go up within in 10 minutes and asked the guy when are they going to call me I’ve been waiting a long time it’s been 45-50 minutes. What’s going on.? That is a very long time. It’s insane. Keep in mind I had to work @4:30 my Partner and I came in 1 car. The nurse calls us at 3:58 checks my daughter weight and vital. I asked her hey how long till the doctor comes she says that the doctor has 2 more patients maybe 30 minutes and said dr can not rush with patient because sometimes they have questions about their kids. I said yes I understand that I just wanted a time since we already waited 50min and I have work. Then she said well dad can stay here and you can leave. At least I already checked you guys in we just need the doctor. I kept control because my daughter was there. 30 min had passed I told my partner no just wait 15 minutes and that’s when my partner gets up and says what’s going on. Then I hear them say he Instead of she and told my partner wait I thought it was a she. Turns out whoever scheduled me over the phone put my daughter with a doctor who doesn’t see my daughters age. The doctor focuses on kids 5 and over. But Dr. Jonathan came as quick as possible checked my daughter it only took him 5 minutes and we were out. 5 minutes!! This is ridiculous altamed you need to do better. Whoever is in charge needs to communicate with their staff. Communication is the key to everything if you see a patient waiting 30min come check up on them and say hey doctor is running late should be coming in shortly they need 1 more patient to see.also If if you’re a nurse and know the doctor only sees patients for a certain age. Speak up says something. I feel like Staff needs to be observant with what’s going around their job. I did talk to the manger patty she said they were very short staff and had to close women’s health. Like I mentioned to her we were very patient and understanding but just the fact that they scheduled us with a wrong doctor and it only took dr. Jonathan it 5 minutes to check on my daughter. We could’ve been out by 4. From 3-15 -5pm. ( not including the time we arrived @3 )Very long time!! My daughter was sleepy, hungry, and surprisingly behaved very good. wanted to come to this location but, after this visit I will go somewhere. Thank you, and just hope the manager ensures staff communicates with one another.

This review is for dental. Ms. A. Thompson at first was very nice and professional. The second time I came up to her for help not so really. She either has a strong personality or I caught her off guard. I just wanted her to confirm what they said about me having straight medical. In the back office I was told I had to go get my issue fixed at the dentist I had my crown placed. It suck’s I had a video consultation yesterday and they told me they were able to help me. I wish they would’ve told me from the beginning they weren’t going to be able to help me instead of wasting my time.

If you can go to another location just do it. Otherwise you’ll have to be parking on the streets around. The parking plot that they do have is probably 80% just for staff and the security has to be valet and park cars packed in more than the line provided. Just save yourself the trouble of coming here or even entering the parking lot. Sadly this place can be better but until that gets fixed it ruins everything. Got here first thing 8am and it wasn’t even that busy.

AltaMed is a busy and popular clinic. I was impressed with the friendliness of all the staff, including check-in, entrance monitors, security personnel, pharmacy staff, and medical clinicians.Although it is often busy, wait times are minimal and everything seems to flow smooth.There is also a large parking lot with ample parking space in the back.

My partner had to wait 1 HOUR for a Scheduled appointment that was urgent ! They had to “wait” for a room to open up but continued to let people go in and out excluding my partner who was in visible pain and discomfort. THIS TREATMENT IS UNEXCEPTIONABLE !! Many times he asked when he will be seen, he was told “ The doctor is always running late” ?!?! I know my partner is not the only one experiencing this issue. The lack of responsibility and hospitality was loud. PLEASE , if you care for someone do not bring them here! The staff are very rude and not understanding! Let alone can’t follow their own policies.The owner will not do anything to help these issues , please take these problems to a higher up and sue !Appointment time9amPatient seen10am

Ive been a patient of this AltaMed location for my Womens health care needs for a couple of years now.I have received exceptional healthcare service, attentiveness to my health needs as well as prompt referrals for follow up appointments.From the parking lot security, check in concierge staff, room nurses to the amazing Dr Luckey, Ive received top notch care!I cannot thank everyone at this AltaMed location enough!I feel blessed to be under such amazing care.Thank you!

My boyfriend and I called today in the morning so he can get a Covid test as he needs a doctors note in order to go back to work. So we called and they told us they had an opening at 1:20pm at the Boyle heights Alta med which is off of Rowan and whittier. So we arrive and we walk in and go to the receptionist that’s on the second window as soon as you walk in. So she attempts to check us in and then proceeds to tell us that we cannot take the Covid test just like that, apparently now we need a doctors order in order to get the test done. (Why would they schedule us @1:20 without the doctors note then?) So she tells us that our other option is to drive to urgent care in commerce. So we came to the altamed urgent care here in commerce and they told us that the lady we spoke to in the second window lied to us. That she was misinformed. So now my boyfriend is getting his Covid test without the doctors order like we were first told to since the beginning. Please make sure front desk is properly informed on protocols and what’s needed for a Covid test. Because that was a waste of our time and gas.

Ghetto clinic the OB doctor is annoyed for many things they should replace her

They didnt answer my call. I got redirect to this place but while I was on hold they clicked. I called again to see if they can call this place for me so I can ask them a SIMPLE question but they didnt answer them either. The reason I give it 1 star is because I WASTED 30 minutes on hold. I dont know how nice they are, probably really nice, but even if they werent nice Id prefer hearing that for a minute than being on hold for 30 minutes listening to things I didnt have to hear n unclear music. I get it youre all busy but you cant waist other peoples time like this. Hope all is well.

People here do not listen nurse let people in without a mask you would think a clinic would take extra precautions guess not never again will I come this clinic

Great place if it wasnt for a worker named Jacqueline my experience would of been horrible. She was very gentle and caring with my boy she answered every question I had. Dont know if she has any kids but she would make a great mom thank you

I dont ever write a review but I just had to, my first experience with this place was a disaster not only did they change my appointment, and failed to let me know but they were blaming me for the change but yesterday it happen again I was livid to say the least I was getting ready to walk OUT when a cute sassy worker came to the rescue. She must a manager or above them idk but she let the worker know that its not ok to act like that with people and that changing appointments because its convenient is not the way to go.😍. I was in all 😃 NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES.. JACQUELINE YOU GO GIRL 👏

Made an appointment with Doctor Olea, and waited almost a month just so he could cancel ,what kind of service is this, plus they always have the person on the phone to ask questions they already ask,when the only thing I want is to talk to a doctor.

This place is excellent on charging you the fee for your check upsfunny thing is their doctors suck and no matter how you explain to them the pain you are experiencing, all they can do is give you their opinion and not actually check whats wrong. Last month I went in for lower abdominal pain and for my eye. I believe the doctors name is Dr. Dhear who I saw, I explained her the issue and how Ive experience the same pain for a while, she did not bother checking anything just told me might not be anything serious. I had to literally ask her to check me like 3 times. First of all, I am not paying for your opinion Im paying to get checked and make sure everything is fine. Long story short this doctor was useless and I left the clinic very unhappy.

I gree with all the bad reviews this whole Altamed cheap clinic is getting,they hire ignorant staff that are rude and promote themselves like theyre here to help the community. They cannot help a community because first they all need to go back to school and get an education, theyre all ghetto. They need to have emphathy and why not sympathy too.

Dr. Givens is an exceptional woman and doctor. She is kind, patient and very understanding. She is an actual doctor whom genuinely cares for her patients health and well-being. My experience with her and her medical care team have been nothing but superb. I am a patient who suffers from endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain. As a patient and as a doctor not finding things that are able to help ease the symptoms can be frustrating and troubling. Dr. Givens always puts her best foot forward in my particular situation. She thinks outside the box and is very health conscious. Her medical care team are very sweet and friendly. They are quick and on top of whatever preparations and set ups the doctor requires/requests. Parking can be a bit of a hassle (small parking lot) but they do offer FREE valet to AltaMed patients. Handicap parking is available but limited. Street parking available as well(not sure of street sweeping day). There’s usually a food vendor outside as well (street dogs and possible fruit man) as well as a burger joint across the street(wouldn’t recommend). As long as you show up 15-30 minutes before your appointment you should be seen at scheduled time give or take a few minutes. If it’s your first time here you have to walk through the front double doors turn right(towards the seating area) once you pass the last check-I’m counter turn left down the hall way and go all the way down till you open the last door and you’ve arrived. Sign-in with the sign-in sheet. I hope everyone’s experience/visits are as pleasant as mine have been.

My initial appt was very pleasant. Dr. Diehr was amazing as was one person in the front office. The nurses in the back where very professional, courteous and pleasant.Now the bad. There was one person in the front office that checks you in. She and I made eye contact and she quickly looked away. I was the first person in line and 5 mins later more people started to come in thru the front door. Seeing this, the young lady still did not call any of us over. It took the gentleman next to her who did not have a good view of the line to stand up to I am assuming gather some paperwork from the back to see us and graciously called me over. Even after I was done the young lady still did not help any of the people waiting in line. She seemed nice but too busy to want to help her front office co workers.Today I received a call from a gentleman in the office asking me not to show up to an appt that I had with my doctor because I had failed to show up to my blood work. He was very unprofessional. He was right about my missing my blood test, but if he would of checked the notes in my file he would of seen that my initial appt was scheduled on a day that the lab was closed and I called to reschedule both my blood test and follow up with Dr. Diehr. He sounded almost arrogant.To the back office, doctor and the one gentleman in the front office, thank you for making my experience feel welcoming. To the other two employees, maybe some training.

Rhe drs and nurses are very good but their service is horrible because it takes up up too weeks for them to see you and make and book an appointment even if u are sick or not feeling well really bad and they dont open up Saturdays which sucks even more cause the community and many others relys on that locaion they should hire more ppl and so they can attend everyone that needs to be seen especially the walk in thats need care asap hopefully they see this and

I recently. Transfer. To this clinic. 3 Months. A go and i really regret. Changing. I was seeing. By this stupid. DC I dont know how to call her but all shes. Done. Is maid. Me feel really uncomfortable She maid. This stupid. Comment. That got me really mad She ask me and my partner. When. Are you planning. To get surgery. To dont have no more kids and I said. Well im not planning. To do that but my partner. Is and she said. Um well your just being. Smart. Right. And I diring. Reply. And she said in case he leaves.You . ? You will be able to have kids. From another men. That. Maid me feel really. Mad I felt like punch Her ...thats a stupid Comment. And every. Time I see her she takes.no more. Then 4minutes. Shes. Getting. Worst medical assistants. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE!!! They are overcrowded and physician short staffed; you dont get the proper medical attention. its always you working around their insane customer scheduling; or the physicians availability.Worse Medical service Ive ever had. these physician also make terrible decision (To send me to the ER without properly examinating me - resulted in dehydration) cost me $2000. seriously for this kind of care FIND SOMEONE ELSE! And YES at the beginning they act like they care.Also true by other reviews that scheduling an appointment is meaningless because you find yourself waiting excessive amount of time. at one point I waited up to an hour (on a 15minute doctor visit).

Dr. Alain Toca and the staff at AltaMed Dental are passionate professionals. They seem to genuinely care about their patients and always strive to make my visit as efficient and smooth as possible. They make me feel at ease every time. Im beyond pleased with their work and know that you will too!!

Worst place to go to....find another clinic...My son miss a whole week of school just for a simple paper the doctor gotta fill out.When you call you have to wait a whole hour just for them to answer. The receptionist nurses are so slow to get the job done and their so rude ......Close this place down!!! worst....worst clinic ever .....THIS IS ZERO STARS!!!!!

Horibble experience with my daughter. The nurse and lab tech are incompetent. They where suppose to withdraw blood from my little girl of 3 and the only thing they both did was poke and proded her. The only thing they did was just hurt her and made her cry.

Dr Olea’s office is the worse medical office I’ve dealt with! If you have a love one being seen in this office PLEASE change them out of that office! After the experience I had with them I had to get mom out of his care

I live LA I came to east la because I wasn’t getting the help I needed in la I got this clinic recommended from my mother and I gotta say this is one of the best places I’ve been so far I really like it so much. The staff are very nice and helpful I am satisfied with my review!

The receptionists and the doctors and nurses are good! The only complaint that I have is that I went in earlier than my appointment time but they still took a while to call me in to see my doctor, after the time that they were supposed to see me.

Im starting to hate this place so much i been trying to get an appointment for my daughter feet and all they have to do is change a code and no one cant do their job right.. and i just finished talking to a nurse named Jessica and alI i asked, was to talk to whom ever is in charge, and she cant do that. She just said no ones available and she comes back on Tuesday and she will try to fix it i cant wait that long I waited 4 months for this and I called more than 7 times and gone in person 3 times and all the persons I talked to told me that I will get a paper on mail in 2 weeks so she can see the doctor and nothing...so this pple are going to have 3 less patients and i wouldnt recommend this place to any person with kids..👎👎👎👎 but i will say I will miss Doctor H and Blanca the stomp program..and some nurses

These place is the worst clinic you can ever visit if you like the Altamed network just stay away and go anywhere else.... the people in the front office are very rude and slow and they forget to do their job because they talk so much and then they make the patients wait a whole hour before they get call inside and then they say ohhh its a 45 minute wait to see the doctor if i could give them a minus 10 i would just stay away from here

I had a toe surgery in this clinic i had an ingrown nail, after the surgery I was with a lot of pain for like a month and couldnt walk well for months, after 5 months of surgery and still bothering me the surgery I was waitting to see if my nail was growing right i noticed that my nail got worst, it was pointless the surgery because nothing got fixed, i need a surgery again but for sure I wont come back here

Fri , May 20 , 201612:21PmI called about a 1 min ago to schedule an appointment. They answer me 39 min after. And when they finaly answer ..they said they had no appointments available until july ... which i would have to call until the next week . ..(spoke to the assistant 1min )

Its a wait but the Drs.I have seen Real Care and take there Time with You.that might be why they fall behind but when its your turn they Really LISTEN.

Here I have been treated on several occasions when I have gotten sick. And since the pandemic, doctors are needed. But I understand that they try to be able to attend to patients who already have an appointment in advance. They have very good doctors and good staff and I feel satisfied with their service. I hope they have more staff because I think they have closed some small clinics

They give you appointments but they take a long time to see you even if you have an appointment. Aside from the fact that they took a while to call us, my girls were hungry, I went and bought them even a candy that we were waiting for and they didnt let them eat it. My appointment was at 3pm and I had to wait more than 30 minutes. Very bad service. The truth is that they let patients wait a long time for their appointments.

I dont recommend this clinic at all, they have terrible horrible service, they let patients wait for their appointments for a very long time, their policies and late authorizations are very bad, unfortunately they never found a diagnosis for my son, I had to change clinics and thank you To God in a matter of months they did what they could not do in this place in 5 years,,,!!!! So I would never go back!!

Terrible service they make you wait on the phone for more than an hour all to give you an appointment for up to 3 months and when it is finally your turn they make you wait more than an hour and to finish it the aforementioned doctor Chapiro everything is normal and my son She has nothing, she refuses to do more in-depth exams, I dont recommend her at all.

Very bad cervisio the appointments are scheduled for 3 months later and if you want to see a female doctor you have to make the appointment a year in advance first Im dying than seeing the doctor and without appointment its worse
