I’ve been seeing Dr. Swanson for years now and I adore her! She’s so warm and explains everything. Today, I met with the NP, and I was just as impressed and really loved her as well! The best practice for your needs.

Dr. Swanson and NP Michelle Nguyen have transformed my life through their care. Their knowledge of hormone therapy and the midlife changes women experience is unparalleled. I was experiencing EXTREME exhaustion, rendering me unable to “do life.” Dr. Swanson swiftly figured out the cause. After treatments with NP Nguyen, my energy has completely returned, and I have my life back. This office empowered me to make informed, bold choices about my health. My experience was great. I had my first wellness exam in Houston and am glad I chose Dr. Swanson. She is so professional and very caring. I started to feel comfortable from the first minute. I just want to say that everything was so great at this clinic. Starting from the receptionists both were extremely kind and welcoming. Thank you ladies I appreciate y’all. Dr Swanson kindness is what impacted me the most. In my past experiences I was always meet with impatience and rudeness from other obys. Dr Swanson was patient and didn’t make me feel bad when asking dumb questions. She explained procedures step by step and made me feel very comfortable. I have been seeing Dr. Swanson for ongoing support for almost a year now. She is absolutely hands down the best ob/gyn I have ever seen. She understands the challenges of perimenopause and beyond in more depth than I ever expected from an allopathic doctor. She listens and responds amazingly well tailoring my treatment plan to my unique needs and lifestyle. I am forever in her debt for helping me through this transition.

Spoke with a front desk lady today over the phone, I felt she doesn’t want to do her job or even just to help the patient, plus not professional approach of a conversation. Dr. Swanson is the best doctor I feel bad to give a bad review because of an unprofessional front desk lady.

In a world with so many doctors that lack tact and warmth, Dr. Swanson stands out. She is knowledgeable, dedicated and always makes me feel like she cares. She takes time to answer questions and discuss options. I love that i can have my ultrasounds done right at her office and have her go over the results in minutes. Dr. Swanson and team are amazing. I had to switch from another doctor I had been seeing for years due to insurances purposes and was nervous switching. However, I think I may love this office even more than my previous. She made me feel so comfortable, explained everything in detail, and makes these visits as comfortable as possible. I just moved to Houston and had to find an OB GYN. I had an appt with Michelle Nguyen. I am so happy I visited this office. Michelle was so thorough in explaining things to me and I find that to be rare these days. I’m used to providers who rush and treat me as a number but not Michelle. She seemed to care about my health and wanting me to feel better. She gave me options and explained in detail about my options. I have find my office and provider which alleviates some anxiety. Thank you Michelle.

Dr. Swanson is wonderful, and I am so glad I found her! Two of my friends switched to her after awful experiences, and they also felt relieved after seeing her. She is respectful, nonjudgmental, and acts as an advocate for your health which can be rare to find. She spends the time that is necessary with you, she is research oriented and stays up to date on recent findings, and overall is a great person to talk to.

I had an issue that the office manager personally handled and I appreciated the effort and communication by her. I didn’t feel like my concerns were addressed by the NP and that is my reason for 3 stars. I think dr. Swanson is great but she is only one person and so had limited availability

It took me two year to write this review but here I am. In late 2019 I came here for a well woman’s exam and to express a concern. The concern was that I had a lump. I was 33 at the time. The lump was protruding through my skin. She didn’t even exam me…I was dismissed, told it hormonal and I was to young to worry about cancer. Covid happened, the world shutdown and I had to live with this lump for a year. In 2021 a doctor actually listened and I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer at 34. Had you not dismissed me I could have been diagnosed earlier.

My experience has been amazing!!! From the very first time I came I love my doctor soooo much! The nurse practitioner! Ms. Michelle is soooooo sweeet, makes me feel so comfortable and always professional! I found this place on Google and that was about 6 years ago and I’m still going! I love it and I’m not changing them for nothing!! After I had my baby I still came back! Thank you so much for the best experience lol at a gynecology office ! 😂😂😂-Nurse Practitioner Ms.Michelle

Swanson is an amazing human and an ethical doctor that cares about her patients. I feel more than comfortable with her, so much so that I’ve actually seen her out of state, because I now live in Maine. A good gynecologist is so hard to find here, but knowing I have her to help when I need it really saves me. 💗

Dr Swanson and her team were very friendly and professional. I usually dread visits to the gynecologist but Dr Swanson really listened to me and her bedside manner was faultless. My past experience with these procedures has been uncomfortable at best but this was a different story. I wont be dreading my next visit in a years time. The staff on the front desk were also extremely helpful, even helping my lost husband find me when his cell phone died! Thank you.

I cannot express how amazing Dr. Swanson is. She is the first doctor in a decade that has been able to get my wellness exam done because of a condition I have. She gave me references and had such a warm and professional presence. I will definitely be recommending her to anyone and everyone from now on and will continue going back.

After doing some research in order to find a new gyno, I decided on Dr. Olga Swanson given her great reviews. I am so relaxed and happy I did! I have found my new gynecologist and Ive already told a few of my friends about her as well. The office is clean, her staff was nice and prompt and Dr. Swanson was so kind and helpful! Dr. Swanson is amazing. My wife has been going to her for a few years and she has always been very patient and answered all of her/our questions. My wife says that she is the best gynecologist that she has ever been to. She helped my wife become pregnant and we are now looking forward to our little baby twins that are on the way!!

I have always been very satisfied with Dr. Swanson and her staff, as they have all been very professional, caring, and attentive during each of my OB/GYN visits. But my satisfaction-level went THROUGH THE ROOF just very recently, as Dr. Swanson and one of her admins, Melva, both went WAY out of their way to rearrange their schedules in order to fit me in to have an urgent surgical procedure done in their office THE VERY NEXT DAY, with literally just 18-hours of notice!! They REALLY care about their patients, and for their patients’ well-being. I couldn’t be more grateful.

I just had a wonderful experience. I didnt feel rushed at all. Dr. Nguyen took her time and made sure I had all my questions answered. Im so glad I found this place. The team there knows how to make you feel valued and appreciated. Highly recommended!

Dr. Swanson is amazing. She listens to her patients carefully and really does care about them. I had to go through 3 other doctors before scheduling with her and being diagnosed with PCOS. Out of four doctors she’s the only one that decided to do an ultrasound... Once again she is amazing and really does care for her patients.

Ive been seeing Dr. Swanson close to two years and I think shes great. She makes me feel comfortable, really takes her time listening and explaining things. Shes always available for questions and she respects my decisions!

I love Dr. Swanson, she is great. But communication with front desk is 80% of times is just underwhelming. They have no issue changing time of your appt, not giving you heads up and having an attitude when you ask how this could ve happened.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr.Swanson. Shes amazing. She truly makes you feel so comfortable when you are at her office. I have never once felt rushed or left there her offices with unanswered questions. I have recommended many friends of mine to her bc I know they will be in good hands.

They were fast to get me in and get me out in the most efficient manner after of course all my questions were answered by Dr. Swanson, she was entirely unintrusive and always informed me of everything and always asked my permission to proceed. My experience was overall pleasant. The office is clean and parking is ample! The best part of this visit is the kind of care I received. I saw the PA or NP, I do apologize I didnt ask her title but she really took the time to explain and broke things down for me education wise. The exam was comfortable and went smoothly, I now know how to a proper self breast exam. Thank you!! Definitely coming back.

Dr. Olga Swanson is amazing. I have been looking for a new gyno since my last one moved. I tried a new gyno, and suffered a terrible experience trying to get birth control. I found Dr. Swanson on yelp with great reviews, and transferred my medical records to Preferred Gynocology. However, I went into the first appointment very skeptical and weary after my terrible previous attempt at finding a new doctor.From the get-go, it was a very easy and pleasant experience. Her staff is very competent and responsive. You do not get transferred around when calling in to ask questions. When I had questions about the appointment and medication, the staff was able to answer it immediately. I did not have to wait for anyone to call me back. We had trouble getting the horrible previous doctor to transfer my medical records, but Preferred Gynocology was very flexible and understanding with my appointment.When I met Dr. Swanson, she seemed very present and relaxed. She didnt seem rushed, like she was doing me a favor by seeing me. She was very personable. I felt at ease asking her questions, follow-up questions, and asking for clarification. She *never* made me feel like I was dumb. We were able to talk about my options, giving me pros and cons for everything. I never felt like she was trying to push me into an option I didnt want. She understood want I wanted and is very wonderful. I felt very comfortable the whole time, and she was very clear in her explanations. I would recommend her to everyone!

Please note, this is a review of the front staff, as my wife was not allowed to see the doctor during her appointed time. My wife had made an appointment with this clinic, called the day before to insure she had all the proper documentation ready for the staff. When she arrived 5 min late for her appointment, the staff informed her that the doctor has a strict late policy and would not be seen. Although I agree with having a late policy, 5 min is a grace period, not an amount of time that would justify not seeing a patient. If they have such a strict late policy, it should have been provided prior to the appointment time (such as when a patient calls to see if any additional information needs to be taken to the clinic) instead of when the patient arrives. Very unprofessional.

I called this morning wanting to set an appointment as a new patient. I asked the lady who answered if she could verify that my insurance was accepted. She instead directed me to call and verify myself. Not helpful, and seems uninterested in helping new patients.

I’m really really disappointed and frustrated about this office as it was recommended to me. First visit they are all friendly, but when it comes to making a follow up appt they don’t return calls when someone leaves a message. Also, during my first visit, I was told that my insurance was going to cover ultrasounds and labs (if I needed them), but now I am told that I have to pay $255 + another visit fee. Which I was told that I didn’t have to pay.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Swanson. She was so nice and genuinely cared about my wife. She had great bedside manner and even answered our calls outside of business hours with grace and care!! She is amazing!!!

I honestly cannot say enough about my experience with the Nurse Practitioner and OBGYN at preferred gynecology.First, they were able to schedule me for appointments last minute when I needed them. Which, is a great start. The staff was friendly and quick. The doctors spent all the time necessary with me to answer all my questions, and they were so gentle and kind.My old OBGYN was a man, and theres just a huge contrast in the way he treated me and the way the female doctors here treated me. They were super explanatory with everything they did. It was surprising how much their treatment put me at ease. I just always thought that a visit to the OBGYN was going to be a super uncomfortable experience. Here, though, it wasnt. What a relief.

I had a yeast infection and needed a prescription. I have had a few before so knew the symptoms. I asked to speak to Dr. Swanson or anyone who could assist to prescribe me medication because I was very uncomfortable. I was told that a message would be left for her and she would get back to me in 24-48 hours. How is it possible that someone who needs medication has to potentially wait 2 days to get it? I had to call a completely new gynecologist who I had never been to before, go into for an appointment before it was determined that I indeed had a yeast infection. I had to go to another doctor to get the medicine I needed. This is unacceptable and I will not be a returning patient.

Very Unhelpful and bothersome is how the receptionist portrayed her self. New patients want to feel welcomed not helpless. I felt as though I was annoying her with my questions when they were simple and straight forward. Received a very impolite laugh as I asked her when I could make a appointment, due to there would be no space tell November. Very disappointed in the service and she has scared me off from trying to call again.

Second time visiting today. First was a checkup where the doctor gave unsolicited weight loss advice that had nothing to do with my appointment or questions.Today was a procedure they recommended and scared me into agreeing to. I arrive and they ask me to pay $180 - not met by my insurance. They didn’t inform me of this at all prior to the appointment.I have a difficult schedule for doctor appointments, they won’t work with you at all and showed no remorse when I told them what I had to arrange in order to show up today.I will not be going back.

I love Dr. Swanson! She is very attentive, thorough, listens well, and takes her time. I’ve had a great experience every appointment. I highly recommend.

The lady in the front was rude! They canceled my appointment due to the NP not being able to make it in to work and said they tried calling me to let me know that my appointment had been canceled. I received no call and no voice-mail like she stated. I wouldve received at least one of the 3 voice-mails or called she supposedly placed. Im a new patient paying out of pocket and i will not be returning.

Let me start by saying that I have no issue with the doctor here. She was knowledgeable and thorough. My ISSUE lies with their BILLING department. They coded a service wrong to my insurance company (I have amazing insurance through a Fortune 100 company. The ERROR lies completely at the the fault of Preferred Gynecology). I went back and forth about the billing issue for a whole YEAR; during which time they sent my unpaid INCORRECT bill to a collections agency. Finally I got a call from Preferred Gynecology letting me know the issue had been resolved...she explained that it wasnt a coding issue, rather my name was wrong in their system (looking back this doesnt make any sense. And I should have followed up... so there are perhaps two idiots in this story). I chose to believe her, I stopped getting letters from the collections agency, life went on. UNTIL I was reviewing my credit a YEAR later and the COLLECTIONS AGENCY was on it. Knocking my almost perfect CREDIT DOWN SO LOW that its affecting interest rates on home and car loans. DO NOT ENTRUST PREFERRED GYNECOLOGY WITH YOUR CREDIT. PATRICIA IN BILLING....YOURE A REAL GEM.

Dr.Swanson is awesome and super easy to talk to! She answered all of my questions and even asked some that I didnt think to ask. I gave the office 4 stars because the receptionists are always rude and speak to you like youre stupid for asking a question. Its as if youre inconveniencing them by calling, when its their job to answer the phones.

DO NOT, I reiterate, DO NOT go to this obgyn!!No patient should have their credit ruined because a Doctors office staff cant complete simply everyday tasks! :(If you love your credit score and want to keep your sanity, go somewhere else.I just realized 7 months after my doctors appointment in December 2015, I was taken to collection for a bill I NEVER received.I had a well womans exam during my appt, which included a pap smear, which was sent to a lab (PROPATH LAB SERVICES).Not only did they have my address wrong at the Drs office, they had my insurance info wrong as well. They sent the specimen along with the wrong info, which resulted in the lab being unable to process my insurance payment.The lab tried to send me a bill for $85 when the insurance co. couldnt find my info (because of the incompetency of drs office) but it was sent to the WRONG ADDRESS!!!So what did the lab company do? Took me to collections and my perfect credit went down -65 points......all because front of staff couldnt read!!!So as you can see, Im pretty freakin upset! And for a very good reason.As I stated above, no patient should have their credit ruined because a Doctors office staff cant complete simply everyday tasks! :(

Fairly new to Houston, didnt have a clue which GYN to pick, I chose Dr. Swanson and I could not have made a better choice, she made me feel relaxed like I was chatting with a good friend. I would definitely recommend her!

I had an appointment with NP Michelle Nhuyen. She was very attentive to my needs and concerns.

This office is a scam office. Payment estimation was way too inaccurate. The bill is 50% more than estimation.Update. Another great visit. Came, pay what they say, half a year later got a call from collections about unpaid bill. Unbelievable!Office is extremely unprofessional. Doctor is good.

Extremely disappointed. I certainly didn’t like the atmosphere here. It was my first visit and both the receptionist and doctor were very short and almost rude. I decided to cancel my appointment right there and left. Everyone looked like they didn’t like their jobs. Glad I didn’t spend my money in here.

Tried to charge me a co-pay for a service that was 100% covered under my insurance. Np was nice and helpful. Glad I asked what the charge was for before forming over $50.

Lets start with the fact that the initial arrival time was announced with a reserve of time to fill out documents. Thanks to this, I got an appointment at a clearly scheduled time. The staff was pleasant and attentive at every step, making me feel very comfortable. A nice bonus was that the results were communicated in my native language.
