Don’t go here for anything, all the bad reviews are true. go somewhere else and don’t waste your time here. i’ve been going here for over 2 years and my last visit will be the last time. i had my appointment on august 23rd at 12:45 for a routine checkup (sti/std and a breast cancer screening). i waited in the lobby for over an hour but people that came in long after me were seen, which whatever i can wait. i finally get back and wait another 30 min for a nurse to come draw blood. she incorrectly removed the needle and my literal BLOOD started squirting on my legs and the ground!! like WHAT?? and she made a joke saying at least it wasn’t your clothes. another 30 minutes for the doctor to come in, she was nice enough, no issue there. i asked 2 different people when i would get my results back and both told me 5-10 business days. ive been checking my online chart and calling there to see if they’ve heard anything and nobody EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. there’s 2 different numbers to call, still no answer. if i knew it was going to take this long to get results back i would’ve gone somewhere else and not wasted my time. yall are unprofessional, rude and lazy. i don’t know how yall are still in business but im sure it won’t take much longer for yall to get shut down.UPDATE: it’s now been 4 weeks since my simple checkup and still no test results back or any communication from them. i have called them twice a day everyday and nobody ever answers. i’m scheduling an appointment with a different doctors office and i bet ill get my results back from the new one first. do not waste your time!!! if i could leave negative stars i would

This place is nasty! The walls are dirty looking. The exam rooms have no organization, things they should store elsewhere are located within exam room. The waiting room stinks. They provide you false timeframes as an option to get you in. The NP on staff is seeing rooms between eating her lunch. There’s no wash station inside the room for you to verify if your providers hands are clean. The walls are covered with poster boards stapled to the walls instead of mounting properly. I know for a fact I will report to referring office of my findings as this gives him a bad name on his expertise of being in practice for so many years. Meanwhile we wait while hearing the girls laugh and chat in the hallway! I have yet to find one professional and good thing to say about this place!! You should not have to wait over an hour for a simple procedure. Do yourself a favor and save yourself some time and go elsewhere! Entire location is sketch!

Idk what happened, back when they were by forest hill the wait times weren’t bad, but my last 2 appointments I’ve waited at almost 3 hours! The last appointment I had was exactly at 9:30 and when I got there me and another lady were the only ones there for a while and idk why we waited hours to be seen and then today my appointment was at 10:30, I didn’t get called back until 12:40 omg the waiting room was crowded so bad you can feel the hot air from everyone being mad it took forever. Some of the staff was awesome and some having bitter faces and attitudes. Idk its disappointing to see it go downhill, oh yea and the never answer the phone calls 😅

Been going here since I was of age & being a young girl theyve always made me feel comfortable. I love seeing their friendly faces. Theyre so welcoming.

This is the worst place that I have ever been to these people are so damn slow. It takes them about 20 minutes just to check you in you sit in the lobby for another hour when they finally take you to the back and once you’re in the back you sit in there for another hour waiting for the doctor which I think it’s crazy because they’re not that busy if they have appointments, if they would spend more time working and talking and get to the needy greedy the way it should be everything would run smoothly and they wouldn’t have so many complaints

This place is absolutely horrible. I called and they said they could make me an appointment today at 1pm. I got an email regarding signing up for a patient portal. I signed up and filled out all the paperwork (intake forms). I get to my appointment 10 min early and the receptionist has me fill out the exact same paperwork I already filled out online. I saw a lot of staff and providers leave to get lunch and then come back with food while I was waiting to be called back. Apparently someone scheduled me during lunch hours and didn’t care to tell me. They keep their sign in sheet out in the front for all to look at which is a HIPAA violation. After an hour of waiting and people that arrived after me going back I looked at the sign in sheet and saw people writing their appointment times after mine but I still hadn’t been called back. No one was at the front desk. The only person at the front was a provider in a white coat who didn’t even look at me when I walked up to the front desk. She just charted away on her laptop pretending I wasn’t there. Ignored me completely. After an hour and a half of waiting and people coming in after me being seen, I left without telling anyone. No one was at the front to inform I was leaving. No one even called me after I left. This place is a joke. Never coming back.

This place takes forever to attend. I went in at 2:23 exactly and did get attended until 4:30 I kept asking if it would take long because I was running late for work and all they could tell me was 5-10 mins which then turned into almost 2whole hours of waiting patiently. This was NOT the first time they do this i’ve had to come back at least twice because of how long they would take and I had work after. Don’t come to this place unless you have all day to spend there sitting it’s ridiculous.

Never answers the phone. Online it says they’re closed Fridays but they have availability for appointments on their website. They have 3 different phone numbers and won’t pick up any of them.

If you have an appointment here…. PACK A LUNCH!!! Every single appointment I’ve ever had I’m always seen 2 hours later!! If your appt. Is at 930 expect to be seen at 1130! They don’t answer the phone! The only person who’s nice is the black nurse practitioner!! I promise this will be my last time coming to this place! The most disrespected person in American is WOMEN!!!

You need to read this if you doNot have insurance, desire to be treated fairly, want treatment at low to NO COST and want to support a black owned business!!!! My daughter was having severe pain right before her cycle last month and learned that there was a ruptured cyst causing her this discomfort. She was educated/diagnosed , treated and given medication all in the same visit! I understood the wait times being a little longer than anticipated as they were short staffed but they (THE ENTIRE STAFF) made up for this in dividends with their exceptional service and their ability to treat situations with a sense of urgency. Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!!

Horrible service. The waiting time is horrible. There is no reason to wait five hours just for birth control shot while all the nurses are in the back talking and laughing goofing around. They never answer your phone. They always send you to voicemail. They never answer emails. Had 1 questions yet they can’t answer had a nurse, her self tell me to write a review, so the doctor can see seen other comments seem to be no help. They say they are short staffed, but does not seem so When their back there laughing.

I love this place me and my daughters been going here for over 4 years now. And our services is always A1. They are always friendly, and caring. The front seat clerk will talk your business out Loud sometimes. So if you have anything you don’t want the waiting area to know about, you have to talk to them in the back before going to the waiting area. But other then that it’s a yes for me.

Todays call was literally the last. Never again will I go to this clinic. I had my son in 2011 and I started going to this clinic when they were still at the old location still off of 820 and trail lake I think. I never once complained about how rude some of the ladies were on the phone, or how long the wait just to get seen was. There was a couple of times that I waited more than 2 or 3 hours to get seen. Even then I NEVER complained. The wait times on the phone are ridiculous. They answer to ask you if you can hold please then before you can even respond they already have you on hold.Today for example was not the exception. I called because I really wanted to go back to that location. One of the last times that I was there I was reffed to see a specialist because they found something abnormal in my pap. That specialist is all the way in Cleburne which is far of a drive from where I live. Now that that is done with I called them today to set up an appointment and they put me on hold for almost 10 minutes THEN THEY HUNG UP ON ME. I called again and gave them my two cents without cursing. Either way Im done with them I just wont be going back to. All the bad reviews they have are true.

I have waited for five hours on two occasions. When having a pap done, the last thing you want to do is wait five hours. They don’t answer the phone. They say that they can’t get the messages from the voicemail. When Dr. Collins was there on a daily basis it was different. Now, like the other reviews mentioned, the staff is often all in a room talking while patients are waiting.The last time I went in for a pap and walked out with a UTI. I don’t get UTIs naturally so I am guessing their equipment wasn’t sterile. It was excruciatingly painful. The doctor was new to their office. I went back into their office for help. They have my records. They know I don’t get UTIs. They left me in the waiting room for an hour and a half. All it would have taken was a urine test. The “manager”, Rosa, took me in the back three times, maybe she didn’t want the waiting room hearing what I had to say, but no one ever saw me. I was in so much pain, I left and went to Urgent Care and within 5 minutes Urgent care let me know I had a UTI. There are many other places to go to that care about the patients, that value your time and body. Maybe Collins has so many clients they don’t care anymore.

They’ve always been very nice and helpful, but recently I’ve been trying to call them and it gives you an automated message than hangs up. I need to speak to someone in the office and I’m frustrated that any number this clinic has doesn’t work

I got sti tests done here 7 months ago. No one answers the phone or emails and I have no access to my results!! 7 months Ive been trying to reach these people!! I just want to know my results

They are wonderful! Rosa is a gem! The people leaving bad reviews obviously arent appreciating the fact that a place like this exists. Of course there is waiting. Of course the Dr. is doing to draw blood, did you even eat a good breakfast? Talking about, she drew blood now I feel sick. I think this clinic is great! I was patient with them and they were patient with me! Also, I do this weird thing where I TREAT EVERYONE LIKE A HUMAN BEING and NOT MY SERVANT. Oddly enough, people tend to treat me kindly when I dont come off as entitled. Talking about, I didnt greet them and they didnt greet me... how rude of them! Get outta here! Try this place out! Be kind, be patient, and ask questions. They answered all of mine.

Horrible wait times, Dr.Collins doesn’t really act like a doctor, she doesn’t really talk to you in the room she acts like she irritated with her job title. The staff lies for her. I called the front desk for them to let her know that she didn’t forget me, and the rep says she’s with another patient. Come to find out they were all sitting in the room eating and talking when I walked by. I had a appt at 11:15 didn’t get called back until 11:49, then the doctor never came to see me it has now became 1:15 so do the math on how long I had to wait, so I walked out. Never will go here again. She hires other doctors and clearly none of the ones I seen are still there.

Everyone was very Nice and helpful. The nurse practitioner was very knowledgeable and patient with me. She answered all my questions and gave me several options on birth control. The only reason why I didn’t give a 5 star, was due to lack of communication between the staff. Multiple staff members knocked on my door questioning if I had been helped. I was told to check out and my medication would be given at that point. I got to checkout and front office was clueless, however she fixed the issue right away. Overall I left satisfied and it was a good experience. We are all human and can use constructive criticism to better ourselves. This is a great place if you are on a tight budget. Will most definitely recommend friends and family.

My first visit to the Arlington location was great! The staff was very sweet and professional. They were amazing made me feel very comfortable talking to them about everything. And I was in and out pretty quickly. Will definitely recommend this office to friends and family!

If you have a life outside of going to a clinic this is not the place for you. Ive called several times over a month trying to get the results of my pap smear , I get put on hold for 20+ minutes at a time and no answers. If you set an appointment youll have to wait over an hour to get seen because they prioritize walk ins . Ive tried to give this clinic multiple chances over 3 years but my last visit will be my last. Its unprofessional to expect people to wait over a month to know if they have cancer cells. Polite staff doesnt cut it when it comes to timely results.

From the first call, I spoke with Diana. She is the absolute sweetest, helpful and professional. I figure wow, I cannot wait to go to this place lol. So two days later I went and I seen Diana who is the receptionist and she was the same as she was on the phone so sweet and helpful. Long story short, I went on to get my birth control Depo shot my a nurse and she was kind and gave me my shot. I have no complaints about this place from the phone call to the in person visit.

I have been going to this clinic for many years now. All I can say about the staff is that they are very professional, sweet and caring. I find Rebecca is my favorite. That in no way means I do not get excellent service from the rest of the staff. They always make me feel at ease. Thank you Collins Family Planning Clinic. Definitely worth referring friends and family.

Staff was very professional and friendly. They let me sit in the room with my daughter who was very nervous. I would recommend them. They respect your opinion and do not try and talk you out of the choice of birth control you want. They were very informative about the birth control my daughter chose to use. Id give 10 stars if I could.

The wait was a little long; but it was obvious they were busy. Once taken back, the medical assistant was very apologetic, friendly, and offered refreshments. The doctor was pleasant, patient, and apologetic as well. This was my first time here, so feeling comfortable was going to be a hard thing to achieve. But, with a nice and mannered staff, it was a good experience for me.

So after finding out I was pregnant , I came here simply just for a proof of pregnancy. I’m not even gonna lie when I got there, I was already having a horrible day and kinda unintentionally directed my attitude towards the staff. But they still remained so understanding and were so nice to me. The lady who confirmed my pregnancy (can’t remember her name) was absolutely amazing, she is the FIRST person anywhere that has taken my blood without leaving any trace of a needle being there. Y’all if you need the care they offer, GO HERE!!!

I moved out of the area but I so miss this place very much. I was always so embarrassed and didn’t feel comfortable talking about everything that I should be talking about with my doctors/nurses. They made me feel extremely comfortable and they are so trust worthy here! Overall a great experience everytime I went. Thank you for all of the amazing work you all do here!!

Y’all need to update phones. I’ve been calling for almost two weeks and no response. It goes straight to voicemail. I’ve even called on other phones and straight to voicemails. I’ve complained about this in person and nothing has changed. I do like coming here but please fix your damn phone service.

Me and my girlfriend had a scheduled appointment at 3pm and arrived 15 minutes early. They didn’t see her until almost 4pm. They wouldn’t let me (the boyfriend) enter with her even though my girlfriend told them she wanted me there too for comfort and help her with decision making. This shouldn’t be allowed. I understand privacy if THE PATIENT wishes it, but this was just unacceptable. It’s a reallt hole in the wall place. The good thing about this place is they help you financially.

Very friendly people. The most educational and knowlegeable nurses and doctors who take their time talking to you and explaining things. The staff really is dedicated to their job. I thouroughly enjoyed the experience. Yes, it takes time to see the nurse and the doctor and to get the tests results, but you should be aware that this is free clinic and there are a lot of women and men who come there with minimal or no income and therefore you should respect the fact they do a good job for you for a very reasonable charge. I would highly recommend the place for low income individuals and families. The wait is long, even IF you made an appointment, but they will treat you with dignity and respect. The wait is worth it.

I spoke on the phone with Diana who helped make my appointment. She was very kind, patient and thorough. She was able to help me in a professional and efficient manner and I am so thankful that the first phone call of my day was so easy lol

Kim is such a sweetheart! She is very welcoming and even the staff in the front there all so sweet. Everytime I come they always greet me and welcome me everytime 🤍 also a lot of credit to Diana! And Teresa!

They don’t know how to communicate properly when you call them on the phone. Also, the Arlington location is not open Mon-Fri 8AM-4PM despite that’s whats printed on the door. I’ll find someplace else, I guess. Thought it would be a wonderful service given that I have no insurance and living on an extremely tight budget at the moment, but doors just getting shut in my face every step of the way.

Very knowledgeable staff, it took me 2.2 hours to be in and out. Everyone was extremely nice and polite. You just have to be patient when you come for an office visit. Take the day off.

Got my implanon birth control here years ago and when I tried to get it removed after the 3 years, 3 different doctors tell me that they don’t “feel it”. Since i got it , I’ve never been able to feel it so they said it was inserted too deep or incorrectly. The one that did mine was the owner. I have been to so many different doctors trying to get this thing removed and surgery is my only option! Seeking an attorney at the moment, definitely wouldn’t recommend this place .

Cecily was great at my check in and Diana helped me with my phone consultation. Both ladies provided professional service. FNP Bell was wonderful and very thorough in my care. You dont have to travel to a pharmacist for ob gyn specific meds they have it all here!!! Diana even brought my medicine to my car for me. Great service and friendly and patient staff. Thank you ladies!

They made me feel like I could talk to them about anything. I was so comfortable and felt like I was getting the best information about my body. Quickly updated all my info with huge stacks of forms. I definitely will be going to them from now on.

This is my second time being here and I have to say they make me feel at ease! I would highly recommend this clinic to all my friends. The staff are friendly and very professional. Office is nice and clean! Thank you ladies at Collins Family!

Update on August 15, 2019. Collins Family replied to this review that they had addressed these concerns in my review. This is a bold faced lie. They have not emailed me, called me or sent me a letter through the mail or attempted to contact me in any way, shape or form. My review still stands and one star is way more than they deserve.Refused to help me obtain a Paragard IUD, which is the only type of birth control I can safely use other than barrier methods. I dont qualify for Texas Womens or Medicaid. I cannot afford the full out of pocket cost. I was incredibly ill on the Mirena and progesterone only pill. The fact I can die during my seventh pregnancy and sixth birth did not matter to the staff. They were unorganized and took two hours (which my husband had to take off work for, that we cannot afford) of bait and switch to finally tell me they would not help me.

If I would have known the wait was hours long never would have never brought my daughter here! Appt at 11 and didnt get seen till 130. And I wasnt allowed back with her for confidentiality seriously! I definitely wont tell people to go here!

Great staff!! All so sweet and very helpful! As soon as I walked in they helped me out and I didn’t have to wait at all! They understood my income problems and compeltly took care of it! I defineituy recommend for anyone trying to get on the pill!! GO HERE

I rarely leave reviews, especially negative ones. But I hope this will at least help someone else. I went in for my well woman exam exactly a week ago. I didnt see Dr Collins, but an NP. I had a pap, which consisted of the typical discomfort. And then the NP performed a pelvic exam. There was the usual discomfort but then I felt as if the NP was being a little rough and hard. Afterwards, I felt the typical discomfort and went home. Later that day, I started to feel crampy. I had never gotten cramps from an exam, but then learned that some women experience this. The next day, I still felt a little crampy but also sore. After about 3 days, the crampy feeling went away but then I was still left with the soreness. Long story short, I am still sore a week later. It seems to be worse if I walk too much or lift anything. It reminds me of the brusing you get after giving birth. It hasnt been as extreme as giving birth, but enough to put me on light duty around the house. I will be following up with another doctor on Friday if needed, but I thought I should share my experience. I did call the clinic and ask them about how I was feeling and they could only tell me that every woman is different and responds differently. I can say that after 18 years of exams and 3 kids, this has never happened to me. I pray this review helps someone and also helps the clinic to remedy any situation that needs to be addressed. I believe my soreness is a result of a health professional being rough and not just my tolerance.

The staff was very nice, the Doctor even better, she answered all my question made me feel comfortable and gave me lost of different information, my appointment went smoothly. In total loved it will definitely be recommending friends and family.

NEVER answer the phone!! If you call on a Monday at 3:30pm (and keep trying for a hour or so) you will hear the machine tell you they are open Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm and to call back during normal business hours. But once you get there its great! The people are nice (depending on who you get) and the doctors are great. But calling for anything is useless apparently.

I love this place ! Mrs . Ashley and Gloria were amazing ! Very helpful and patient! Not everyone has insurance and them understanding made my visit much easier . They are a Income Base clinic which is even better !

Got to give a shout out to Diana! She works so quickly and efficiently and was a tremendous help! Once I got to thr clinic everyone was super sweet. Definitely worth 5 stars

Good experience been here more than once for birth control .also help you apply for woman’s health program if you have low income .Super helpful staff is really nice Especially Ashley V. Good hand with the needle no pain when you get a shot! 👍🏻good employee . really recommend this place

Janet Collins is EXCELLENT. she took the time to talk with me about all the things I needed. Made suggestions and worked out a health plan to help me feel much better! Highly recommend her.

Very friendly over the phone & in person. The Dr is very professional and nice. She makes you feel comfortable while receiving care.

Walked in No one greeted me so I signed in still no one said anything sat down. 30 mins later called me up to ask what I was here for. Gave me paper work and didnt say anything. Its free so I dont expect some miraculous customer service but acknowledging people would be nice

I dont understand why they switched up their phone lines like that. Were only able to book online and not even able to talk to just SOMEONE on the phone and the way we have to book our appointment its not even showing me what to book.

This was the worse experience I arrived at 12:40 wasn’t seen till 2:33 they called me to the back my nurse took her time on waiting on me along with they didn’t have a room read waiting time was horrible I do not recommend anyone to come to this place they have 7 workers and are moving extremely slow !!!!! Do not come here

I’m only posting here because I can’t find the Arlington clinic on google. I called and they said I can pick up my birth control anytime turns out they are only open on Tuesdays. Every time I come here it’s always a problem once you get to the back this time they were out of Depo they had something different that you get injected in your stomach and I was like how come no one said anything I done sat out side waiting just to still not get the Depo

I came to the clinic for my exam everyone was super nice the doctor was sweet and understanding they helped me apply for low income women Medicaid overall a great experience highly recommend the clinic

We had an appt at 11:35 and didnt get called back until1:05 the wait time is horrible!!!!! And when first got here there waiting area was packed nowhere to sit snd fill out paperwork just a bad experience over all!

It says they open at 9am yet nobody answers the phone til around 9:30 unprofessional... been going here for years... but they hate answering the phone for there patients. 😒

I’m a YouTuber an I try to schedule when I’m in town but can’t because the Front desk representatives are rude honestly need new staff they I feel like they pick an choose who to schedule smh I’ve been a patient over 15 years ridiculous they always put me on hold it’s no one there to EVER SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS

I highly recommend this clinic for low income ladies they help you apply for the Healthy Women Texas Medicaid and the staff is always so wonderful and helpful they go above and beyond to help me out thank you guys so much.

Nurse practitioner/RN Bell was awesome & knowledgeable. Not to mention the staff has awesome customer service.

Absolutely awful..i was nervous enough about getting my annual exam,but the treatment I got from the nurse and phebotamist was awful.the lady seemed extremely inexperienced, and did nothing to reassure me that everything would be fine,my blood pressure was high because I was nervous I sat there for 3 hours for the very rude Dr to come in and tell me she couldnt do my exam because my blood pressure was high..of course it was high after being insulted and used as a human pin cushion.i highly recommend you reconsider before coming to this place

This clinic is HORRIBLE. the first time I called they had me on hold until finally they just hung up the phone. and then I go to my appointment and they are closed, without any warning or call.

Very first and last time Ill be attempting to use this clinic. Waited 1 and a half hours before I was even called to the exam room. Then when I got called to the back, the nurse didnt even offer an apology for the long wait, she walked me to the bathroom then proceeded to ask me questions about my medical history while we were standing in the bathroom. Finally got into the room and then was estimated to be there another hour for a birth control consult. All of that made me not confident with the service of care that I would receive from them so I left before the doctor came in.

They have helped me a lot and they dont charge you for anything they cant give you and they serve you very kindly... thank you very much for your support 😊
