Dr. Whitfield has been my lady doc for quite a while now and he is an awesome doctor. He listens, explains things thoroughly and he always made sure I understood everything when I was having issues. He is always very nice. I have never had any problems with his staff over the years either. They are all very nice and helpful.

The staff were very professional, and helpful. Dr. Whitfield has great bedside manner, and he answered all of my questions, and put me at ease about my concerns. I didn’t feel rushed, or made to feel like I was a bother. He was very gentle, and very informative. I learned some great information. I’m so grateful, that I was able to find this practice, and I know I’m in good hands!!!

From the moment I sent an email asking for info, to the very same afternoon I got a call back with said info, to the time I talked with the nurse a couple of days later, to the time entered the office yesterday I was met with impeccable customer service and the most welcoming environment. I’ve been under the care of Dr. Whitfield for 27 years and some months, and that alone speaks for how I trust and appreciate his practice. This maybe a little TMI but I remember when I got a replacement IUD and my body did NOT react well, I got really lightheaded and just felt really terrible. They gave me juice made sure I had someone to come get me ; they really took care of me!

I am looking for a new OBGYN, specifically one who specializes in fibroids. Saw the great reviews and thought wow, I am excited, a doctor who cares… boy was I ever wrong. I had my breast and pelvic exam. He placed the speculum in swab me took it out… said he forgot he needed another swab and did it a second time. Having someone place the object in you once is discomfort enough. Never have I had this experience! Instead of leaving with the nurse to provide me a moment to get dressed he simply grabbed some papers and immediately returned back to do the fibroid consultation as I am just left to sit there and listen with nothing more than the gown to cover me. No decency and poor bedside manners! He then recommended a sonography after I have already explained I didn’t want a myomectomy. He disregarded the ultrasound I had three months prior. He told me to think of the sonography as bad sex. I can’t believe the nerve of this doctor. This was the poorest excuse of a person if I ever seen one. Made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and was more than inappropriate. Beware of Dr Whitfield. I wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy. The staff was great…

Dr. Whitfield is an exceptional doctor. Not only is the staff very nice, they are also very personable. I always feel very welcome and comfortable when there. They always answer any questions or concerns that I may have. I can honestly say that I would recommend Dr. Whitfield’s office to friends and family. He’s a sadistic sociopath. After I was bleeding profusely after he performed surgery to remove endo adhesions that caused my bowel to stick to another organ, he refused to not only write stronger pain medication but refused to write medication to stop the extreme bleeding. He sarcastically told me to go to the ER, then he even laughed about how if I went to the ER that they wouldn’t the exact dose or what exactly to give to stop my bleeding. He initially came off friendly during my first visits but I would not recommend him at all. Although he eventually wrote the medication ended for bleeding, I had to basically constantly call and ask because he just wouldn’t do it. I damn near needed a blood transfusion because of his refusal to do his job.

Dr. Whitfield is knowledgeable, experienced, and very kind. He was key on the early detection of a cancerous tumor on my breast. He referred me to right oncologists to begin my treatment. I am cancer free thanks to his attention to detail and openness to discuss even the smallest symptoms and problems.

With any female issue I have had, you have always been there to advise me on the best course of treatment.You are very caring and patient to listen to me chat, without rushing through the visit. I have been a patient of Dr. John Whitfield for many, many years. I have remained with him because he has done such an outstanding job of caring for me. Good personable doctors are hard to find so when you find one if you are blessed enough to find one, you stay with him. For me, that has been Dr. Whitfield. I dont always do what he tells me but he is still patient with me and still gives me great care and service. He has such professional staff. They are always friendly and helpful. The office environment is quiet and peaceful. The office provides a few amenities for you in the ladies rooms as well as candy and water for those hot, hot days! Dr. Whitfield himself is approachable, professional, friendly, and kind. He has won some awards for his work in his professions (I saw the kudos hanging on the wall) and he deserves them. He greets you and will ask you for any questions that you may have. He and his staff are available to help you with calling in prescriptions when necessary even when it is not convenient for them. The service that is provided by his staff only reflects the service that he provides. He has been my doctor for probably well more than ten years. He is an excellent Doctor!

He is very professional and knowledgeable, while displaying a genuine caring nature for his patients. I have never felt rushed during any appointments. Love the dr but the front staff needs to get it together, they sent me 5 texts about the appointment, one even said they accept cash and different forms of payments they take. So I get here and they tell me they don’t accept cash and won’t see me. I explain to them that the messages clearly states they accept cash and they say sorry that isn’t their fault. What a joke. Waste of me taking off of work for this appointment. Not business like at all

He did my hysterectomy recently and this was my first time ever having any type of surgery. Everyone from his staff to the hospital staff were top notch and so caring. However, he did warn me to not let the small incisions fool me, so I have been following all his and the nursing staffs directions. Hes the best and I truly appreciate all he has done for me. I am from a different town and I was treated really poorly from my local dr. I made an appointment with Dr. Whitfield on a whim. Man, he is awesome! I felt comfortable talking to him. He understands you and doesn’t dismiss your feelings or concerns. Very very good dr. I will be driving 4 and 1/2 hours every time just to see him! My situation is a little different due to endometriosis, lots of surgeries, have seen multiple drs for help but, he’s the first that I feel hope! And it feels good to finally have some hope. My first time at this office and with this doctor. I thought Dr. Whitfield was very nice for then 5 minutes I saw him. I will say the only issue was the hour plus I waited to be seen. Everyone said this is not normal and coming from a medical profession, I understand but man it was a long wait!Tip: do your online registration before you get there. Youre handed a small laptop to do it if you dont. It was annoying.
