AFC Urgent Care Cypress

Ive brought my kids to this place multiple times, and its always been a nice experience. However, yesterday evenings visit to remove a splinter from my daughters foot was different. Before arriving, I called to confirm they specialized in splinter removal and numbing. The person I spoke with couldnt confirm, saying the doctor would need to examine it first. We arrived at 7:30 pm, 30 minutes before closing. Dr. Hasan began examining the splinter and started trying to remove the splinter without numbing it first, causing my daughter to scream in pain. I asked if he would numb it, then he numbs it with a shot which at this point she’s crying even more but then he continued poking at it before the numbing took effect, causing more pain and blood gushing out. Dr. Hasans bedside manner was horrible, he had no patience or empathy and I question his competence. I hope the splinter was fully removed and doesnt get infected. The experience felt rushed, and I left unsure. As expected all the particles weren’t even removed!!!!

This was my first time visiting AFC Urgent Care. I walked in without scheduling an appointment and I was able to set up my account and check-in immediately. The service I received from the entire staff was extremely friendly and professional. The care I received was accurate and efficient. My overall experience was quick and easy. I will definitely go back to them for future needs and I would recommend them to everyone!

My visits with AFC Urgent Care at the particular location (Barker Cypress) is always excellent. I’m not all the way well yet, but I do feel better. Best thing is: I didn’t have to battle with the provider for proper treatment. They listened, understood, and granted. And I thank them.

My son spent a weekend sick, not eating and vomiting with a runny diaper. Monday we walked into urgent care. The staff was amazing and very welcoming. We’re new to the state and in the throws of switching insurance. They explained the easy process, we fill out paperwork that took no longer than 15,20 minutes, paid a reasonable fee we were happy with and our son was seen within 15 minutes. The nurses were extremely great with him. And the physician was the best! He joked with him and was very personable. I’m so glad we found them to take care of us. Thank you AFC

Doctor is friendly and had us in and out! Medical assistant on the other hand wasn’t very friendly, I have a special needs child who absolutely hates doctors and she was not very understanding about that nor did she care. I have been previous times and the medical assistant has made sure my daughter feels comfortable before continuing. I would recommend better training on working with children!

I have been here twice now and can honestly say this is the best urgent care I’ve ever been to. They are welcoming and kind. They genuinely act like they want to help you. I did not wait long to be seen. Tests came back quickly. I was in and out in under 30 minutes and was given the help I needed.

The medical personnel is knowledgeable and well engaged with you as a patient, however the people at the front desk need to be much more professional, especially in their behavior, how they act, sit (or better almost lie flat in their chairs), social communicate while this is hearable for people who are waiting in the waiting room. Beside that the registrations process is not fast and user friendly enough which can generate frustration.

Today was a great visit - despite our little guy being sick. We were promptly moved to our room, seen right away, and both the PA and Dr were very kind/empathetic with our sick boy. Prescription was quickly sent over for a speedy prescription pick up. It appeared they have made the waiting room a bit more appealing since our list visit - so I was pleased to see this improvement. Thank you AFC!

My daughter and I were made to feel welcome at check in. The MA and NP that examined and treated my daughter were both kind and showed empathy all while being very professional. I’m very pleased with AFC Urgent Care. They are doing a great job at taking care of people.

I completed my paperwork through the QR code. After sitting in the waiting room for 45 minutes the lady at the desk asked if we needed help or if we were waiting on someone. My response was My daughter is very pale & vomiting. She needed to be seen. The lady then stated oh we’re not seeing any patients our system is down. There was another employee, tech, Dr who knows who he was but he was sleeping in the side office with the door open. Get a hold on your staff! If your system is down post it so Everyone will see it, & we can go elsewhereHorrible service! Horrible experience! Tighten up your belt loop on your employees.

The nurse if it was even a nurse or a tech i dont know, that see me before doctor wow, put on blood pressure cuff with my jacket on, make me hold thermometer the one under tongue, he didn’t want to hold it who knows who all touch it before me, is he not trained at all, and he put finger pulse on upside down, his attitude was quick fast and uncaring so he can go back to chat with coworkers , I don’t even know result anything he measures, come on, you in health care! There’s no paper cover sheet on the bed that I’m on it’s just plain there. This is a place of germs and this is how they had it and a staff like that!!I know this is urgent care but the service before here was great fast but correct and efficient. Now maybe it’s just this one staff.To be fair, doctor was ok and gave me correct treatment for my condition and i feel better, but this staff no excuse for upper management to let this happen. Be better.

“I want my tooth to hurt and fall out again so I can go back to the doctor!”Literally a quote from my 3 year old.The staff was fantastic, they were understanding of my being frazzled because of the situation and were very patient. Answered all of my questions to my satisfaction.This was the first time I have been to this location and it is quite literally the best one I have been to since moving here 5 years ago. Absolutely worth it, and I’ll be coming here from now on.

The staff was courteous and very efficient, making the check-in process smooth and seamless. Katherine Demeritt, the PA, was especially attentive and thorough. She carefully addressed all my questions, providing detailed instructions on my care, which made me feel confident and well-informed. This level of professionalism and care made the entire visit feel reassuring and comprehensive.

The care givers were very caring and professional. Wish I could remember the name of the nurse who gave my husband his shots. He didn’t feel anything she was very good with the needles!!

Good visit. Was in and out in about 20 minutes. Super friendly nurse. Girl at front couldve been a little friendlier but no biggie. Overall good visit.

I love the quality of service that I receive each time I visit this location. The staff is friendly and they are thorough with everything they do. I was in and out and received all my stuff in a timely manner. Would highly recommend.

First time visiting and initially was taken back by how loud some of the MAs were. During my visit they explained that my results would be back in 3-5 days. It’s been over 7 days and no one has called me back to go over results. I called and all they have to say is the MA is busy with no timeframe of when I should receive a call. Called back and same thing is being said. The front desk lady who answered the phone is very unprofessional with no empathy. Seems like I will have drive back up there just to get some assistance.

The experience for my kid was not bad until meet a black guy, who wear pink shirt and dirty pants. While we were waiting for the paperwork, he suddenly open the door, look around and crudely shut the door without any explanation. We thought he is not the staff of this urgent care. I went out and try to find out what is going on. He confronted with me and asked me why I am standing in the hallway. He is extremely unprofessional and ill-bred. He should be fired and stop making customer uncomfortable, especially when customer get sick.

AFC is always very timely and thorough. Today we had to have X-rays and the doctor was patient and took time to answer all of our questions. It’s comforting to have a place of this nature when you cannot get an immediate appointment with your primary physician.

I came here on a Sunday after not feeling the best. They had immediate availability and I was seen right away. I was tested for all things to rule them out and diagnosed immediately. My prescriptions were sent immediately as well. The staff were kind and handled me with care. I would definitely recommend them again!

The facility is fine but Dr. Hasan rushes through the exam and gives antibiotics for things that dont require antibiotics. Ive been there twice and thought maybe the first time he was just busy, even though it was a Monday afternoon and I didnt see hardly anyone else. The second time, he didnt even completely listen to my lungs, I barely inhaled and he moved to a different spot.

My wife has been to the AFC Urgent Care twice and has said nothing but Great things about the staff and doctor. Today was my first time to visit AFC. Outstanding staff and doctor. You will not be disappointed.

Very professional. Very quick. Thursday night 5:30 pm. Got results of my X-rays within the hour. I will use the facility again. Hopefully not tooooo soon.

I made an appointment today for my child. Got there and was taken back within 10min. They dont put the paper down on the tables and this one was covered with white flecks and hair, so I told my child not to sit down. The tech went and got some spray and wiped it down. She asked had he been tested for anything and I said no and I described the symptoms. She asked if I wanted her to do the test and I said yes, because I suspected it was not any of those. The tech tested for covid and flu. The doctor or med guy came in, asked was anybody else sick at home, and listen to his chest. Told me he thinks his bronchitis and he would send to prescriptions and attach a doctors note...He was literally in there 3 minutes. I had to ask the results of the other test, and he was like oh yeah I forgot to tell you when I came in, theyre negative. Wasnt crowded or anything, he just wanted to rush through and go back to what he was doing I suppose. We have had other doctors there, a female in particular who was friendly and took her time. This guy just did not. But it was the fastest trip to the doctor Ive ever had...

I had a non emergency medical event and made an appointment online the evening before. I was seen shortly after my arrival. The booking process and appointment were both quick and efficient. My prescriptions were sent through to my pharmacy and I am starting to feel better. Thank you AFC!

I was very sick when I came in and had tested positive for Covid with a home test. I was having trouble breathing and the whole office team treated me with dignity and kindness and showed genuine concern… my provider was fabulous..she also diagnosed a terrible sinus infection too ..she assessed confirmed and treated me effectively and appropriately

Excellent thorough visit and follow up. The whole staff were friendly and seemed to genuinely care. Very impressed with the service provided.

Great online booking system. Always clean facilities. Thorough with examinations and not usually a delay. They are basically our family doctors!

Great service. Didn’t have to wait long. Same day appointments. Staff is very caring and polite. Overall a  great experience.

Very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I went for a drug test for employment and the only person that can complete the drug test literally said “Imma go to the store then imma do her test.” He really expected me to wait until he returned, mind you after 20min I decided to leave a stop waiting. The ghetto!!

Well, I thought my husband got decent care initially, and then the problems began. The provider called in a very expensive prescription that was not covered by our insurance. The pharmacy attempted to reach them to recommend a substitute generic that would have been covered. They never modified the prescription. We called their offices too. They would not respond to us. So even though the provider said we should start this prescription immediately, we never got it as the brand name, non-covered drug was nearly $2000. Very disappointing that patient care was compromised in that way. And then, it got better when the insurance company declined the claim, even though we had looked up the clinic as being in-network prior to our visit. Well, the provider we saw was not in network, so happy surprise bill- not like we got to select a provider after we walked in the door. We fought it and won with the insurance company. However, I attempted to contact the AFC office repeatedly to seek their help in resolving. They gave me the runaround, couldnt get past a receptionist or a foreign call center. Then they asked I send an email, which I did and they never responded to. So, zero stars on that. I even told them I wanted to have a chance to talk to them before I wrote this in a review.All told, we wont go back here again based on these numerous service failures I mention.

I have always found this clinic an alternative to my doctor. It always seems I need them on a weekend or late in a day so I dont miss work. Great place to come to. Everyone is professional.

Front desk lady was very unprofessional and rude. Would not recommend this place for treatment, had a scheduled drug screening appointment and yet was turned away on arrival with only a “NO! we don’t do that at this time”. Not sure what the attitude was for but regardless of that I’m not sure what the miscommunication was on their end since I had the appointment. The front desk lady didn’t even allow me to reschedule or find an alternative solution just kicked us out with no explanation.

AFC took care of me and my wife. They were professional, and got us back on our feet quickly.Highly recommend these people!

Medical assistant was not friendly! Wouldn’t recommend if you have kids let alone special needs. My daughter is on the spectrum and does not do well at drs. And medical assistant didn’t seem to care.

In the exam room the first medical assistant I me was great. After getting the results of my tests the PA said I needed two prescriptions. That is when the problem began. The prescriptions were not sent to the pharmacy. I called and got some guy told me they were over the counter medications. I told him AFC said they were supposed to be called in. Very rudely indicated he would get them called in. I would have liked getting them called in the day before to help me recover quicker.

Fast and friendly check in. Seen quickly as a walk in. Provider took his time to listened and explain. Good urgent care center.

Went to AFC on Sunday before Memorial Day because I had stepped on a mandevilla thorn branch early am by 1:00pm my toe was bright red, swollen & turning black & blue all the way down my toe & foot. I could barely touch it and could see 2 spots were I had removed them but the thorn broke off. I arrived and taken back quickly but then waited over an hour to see a Dr. ; a Dr never arrived but a NP did and was no help. She stated she could not feel anything and didn’t know if she could remove them without cutting it, and she was not going to do that. Well I couldn’t feel either but could definitely see them that was the purpose of coming there not to mention how quickly it had swollen & turned red as well as black & blue down my toe. After numbing it she did a little scraping and that was it . It was more painful to get the 2 shots & to have nothing done. I wish I would have never gone if I knew there was not a dr on hand.I have been here many times and been extremely pleased…, this time was definitely not one. I will definitely check before going next time. As I clearly see she was not very experienced & I still can clearly see the broken thorn stuck in my toe.

AFC on Barker Cypress has the nicest staff, usually little wait time, and takes care of nearly everything. They are the first place I turn to when I have something immediate to take care of

My elderly sister (80 years old)has an episode of high blood pressure, her insurance talked to go to this urgent care but as soon we arrived with her, the lady in the reception (she was rude for someone who has to deal with people)said they don’t see high blood pressure emergencies . I don’t understand why an Urgent Care can’t accept high blood pressure emergencies.

Omg I walked in, signed some papers cause this was my first time of course. Gave the paperwork back to the Rep , I didn’t even get to sit down and my name was called. Now that’s what I call fast service and not to mention FRIENDLY!!! Ima go back there every time!!!

I was traveling for work, and had a severe allergic reaction to something. I found this urgent care clinic, and they were so so nice! It was very easy to get in and be seen right away, the nurse was very nice, and the doctor was very thorough and Quick. I was treated and sent on my way very fast. I was given the medication’s I needed and they worked right away, allowing me to continue my business trip instead of ending it early. I would highly recommend this urgent care clinic!

Walked in on a Thursday mid day with a cut wrapped on paper towel and blood was becoming visible. There was people and kids in the waiting area. They took me right to the back and I was in n out that office in 30 minutes. Starting from the front office, nurse and doctor the experience was very quick and smooth. I was scared due to being my first time getting hurt very bad but they all made me feel so relaxed and assured me that I was ok. I 100% recommend this urgent care.

Prompt, efficient and knowledgeable. No frills, but I wouldn’t expect this of a walk-in clinic. Everyone was friendly, polite and accommodating. Would use them again!

We’ve used this AFC location several times and they are always fast and provide quality care. I recommend if you find yourself needing medical care after hours.

It is clean, the personnel are professional, the nurses are nice, be prepared for waiting time depending how many people are in the place.

Quick and easy to get a convenient appointment. Seen right away. Staff is friendly, thorough, and caring. Convenient to my home away from home. Explanations I could appreciate and understand.

My family has been to AFC routinely over the last couple of years. It used to be great, but the last two visits were not. I noticed the rooms are no longer clean, like the floor is never swept. That is a red flag in a place you expect cleanliness and sanitation. My last visit, I had an appointment at 8:00, but they did not open the doors until almost 8:10. Then I waited in the waiting room until 8:30. The PA was good overall, and I felt my health concerns were addressed. However, I needed prescriptions, and I confirmed the pharmacy on my paperwork and with the PA before I left. They sent the prescriptions to a random pharmacy Ive never been to. I called AFC three times over an hour as a I waited at HEB (while sick) for them to call in my prescriptions. Finally, the HEB pharmacist called AFC directly and requested my prescriptions, and AFC acted like they had no idea what she was talking about. I will not be returning to AFC and no longer recommend them.

We waited for prescription and called three times and the doctor sent it so late the pharmacy closed we had to go to a drug store that was open 24 hours. What an inconvenience with a sick child as the drug store where we were waiting was right down the street from AFC office. Each patient should closed out as they leave the office before the doctor moves to the next patient.

So thankful AFC is here. They are always courteous and thorough. Quick and convenient. Definitely recommend.

I always have a great experience here and usually in and out rather quickly. They also follow up with me the next day to see if I have any follow up questions, which is more than I can say for my primary care doc!

Everyone we encountered was so kind and helpful. I was able to make an appointment online for 30 minutes after I clicked submit. When we got there, both ladies at the front desk greeted us and were very pleasant to speak to. The nurse who took our vitals and the doctor who came in shortly after were both efficient, kind and thorough. We spent no more than 40 minutes in the office from start to finish. (We had to get both of our kids tested for flu, so we expected to have to wait just a little.) The office was also very clean! Hopefully we don’t need to go back to an urgent care anytime soon, but if so, we’d definitely go back there!

I wont recommend this place. I had such a bad experience. First ,the nurse practitioner didnt send a request to my pharmacy for the medicine l supposed to have . He forgot!!! . When I called the office, they were closed. The next day, when I called, the receptionist was not helpful at all. She hung up the phone, telling me HAVE A NICEDAY. I went to the office after that. Another nurse saw me and prescribed a medicine. She was nice, but when l was in the pharmacy to pick it up , they sent the request to the wrong pharmacy. This urgent care facility is not serious giving the service.

I was in and out within 30 minutes! I felt the nurse and doctor were very thorough and friendly. I went in for a severe sinus infection this morning and feel much better this evening.

They took us in very quick. Took very good care of me. Both my son and I have been there and received excellent care. When my son visited there she sent him to hospital and then called him the next day to check up on him. Above and beyond care in my son case. Would highly recommend.

I have been here 3 times for myself and family members and every time has been pleasant and they are so sweet. Everyone shows that they care and that means alot. Definitely recommend any time you need to be in and out.

Welcoming facility. The staff was polite and prompt with checking my son and I in. PA Christian was awesome. My son suffered an injury playing basketball which required him to get internal and external sutures. It was around 7pm on a Sunday. AFC was opened which helped me to avoid going to the ER and having to deal with a long wait time. PA Christian made my son feel comfortable (which he was nervous about getting injections to numb the area for the procedure) Her technique was immaculate. She also provided great tips to keep minimum scarring. Thank you again!!!!!!!!

I came in for a sick visit. It was very quick, and the staff were friendly. I definitely recommend it.

I love this place. I go myself and bring my kids. They are always friendly, fast, and helpful. I never feel rushed or ignored.

Do not go here, this place is a scam! Before I saw the NP, I asked the front desk, how much will this visit cost. They LIED and said it was covered by my insurance, only to receive a bill for $181! ON TOP OF THAT!! They charge me three times for basically the same thing: New Patient ($300), services provided in urgent care ($90), services provided in an office ($60)! This is such a scam! Do not go! If you have a PCP, just wait until Monday to see them! I wish I would have done that! And the only thing they did was a strap throat test, which was $40 (reasonable)! But to add on made up extra fee is STEALING!

My son is prone to ear infections and I have visited this location four separate times. The staff has always been kind, and helpful. I have never personally experienced a long wait time. They are really quick and efficient.

This is my second time coming here and highly recommend this place over Next Level. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I actually leave here with a solution to my issue.

Got in quickly and easily, the staff and the Dr. were extremely nice and very informative. Even though I felt sick they made the experience great!

PA was extremely friendly. Listened to my exact problems. Even offered me a much quicker solution with an injection so I could start feeling better quicker before I was able to pick up my meds. Amazing service and I will be back. And best of all few hours later I was feeling much better. And 12 hours later my pain is almost gone and I can finally sleep and breathe. Thank you very much team for listening to me and providing me a quick solution.

The visit was good. However after the visit I received a bill that charged me the full amount instead of the usual discounted amount as an in network provider. The reason is that AFC coded my sick patient visit as Facility Charge, hence my insurance company does not have a contracted discount for that code. Maybe it is their way to squeeze more money out of their patients.I reached out to their billing department multiple times asking them to correct this mistake but got nowhere. Very frustrating.

Front desk people are nice ! Highly disappointed in the fact that I was sent to a room with just a cot like I’m in jail or something no sheets or not even the paper over the bed and it’s freezing in there .. Katherine tone and delivery to employees is nasty , someone said that’s her “personality” which means they’ve unfortunately had to accept it … I have been throwing up and barely eating in a week I didn’t even get an iv for fluids just 2 pills and told to drink Gatorade .. I could’ve googled that .. and as I’m typing I’m still in great pain. I hear the one on greenhouse rd is better but Katherine needs to check that attitude .ultimately wasted 2 hrs of my time

Only 4 stars because I checked in through Solv and couldn’t understand why I was waiting so long. Finally called and asked why it was taking so long and was advised that I wasn’t checked in and that I was supposed to come inside. Other than that, staff was great from the desk to the back with interactions with medical assistants and doctor. I love the Cypress location. Traveled 40 minutes when I had one 5 minutes from my home.

Excellent patient service. The staff was awesome. The only thing that was confusing was the report with Doctors note. I think some of the data was defaulted and did not match my situation. Over all I would definitely recommend this place.

I had a great experience at the urgent care. The staff was attentive, efficient, and compassionate. I felt well taken care of and would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of urgent medical attention.

Doctor Ashley was sympathetic and attentive to my questions and concerns about my illness. The entire staff was very friendly. Even though they were busy, I was on my way quickly. I was satisfied with the treatment regimen.

I have never had a bad experience at this location. From the front staff to the medical staff, everyone is very professional. I had the pleasure to be seen by the director recently for my nose bleed and was very impressed by her bed side manor. I have been to this location as well as my family members, and I can’t not recommend them enough. Clean, fast, thorough, kind and caring.

Best urgent care we have been to! Great staff and great doctor

The medical assistant told me it was going to be 30 minutes to an hour. So I waited, she came back an hour and 15 minutes later. When I asked how much longer; she says it’s an estimate I have patients that have been here waiting for 2 hours to be seen. Yes, my appointment was at 12:30pm and it’s now passed 2:30 I am that patient. Then she said it’s gonna be another two hours.

Easy appointment made online and got in and out promptly. Will use again as needed.

He checked on us making sure we were ok, absolutely exceptional!The doctor was quick, some may think he was rushing, I felt like he was to the point which it worked for me , I had a very busy toddler with me and so I appreciated him working fast. The nurse was serious also to the point, I thought maybe she was very busy and that was why until she came to discharge us, my (very talkative 6years old) kept asking stuff , she was nervous about how she was going to wrap her fingers and the nurse got after her telling her to be quiet in a pretty rude manner while I was already telling her to let the nurse work, it took me off guard so I also told my child to be quiet but the more I think about it the more I feel like that was wrong, you can not be rude and get after someone else’s child especially when you’re the one that is supposed to help them, maybe is her personality but in the medical field bedside manner are a must. Anyway, I didn’t say anything about it and still said thank you because of JB, if I ever need to go to an urgent care is very likely I’ll go there because of him. This review isn’t to talk down on anyone, the visit was very quick but I had to be honest.

Very easy to schedule online and was able to see a physician promptly. My go to Urgent Care center.

Took my 11 year old for a check up on a possible concussion. Made an appointment and the staff was super.pleasant and inviting. The attending PA was detailed in her check up and provided great follow up information. They are great with children .

They absolutely ignore their online booking times, and they will consider you as a walk-in, even though you reserve your time. I was told I have to wait 40-50 minutes to be seen. The receptionists behavior was really unpleasant, and she couldnt answer any of my questions with professional manners.

Got in quickly, and the doctor was honest that they probably couldnt run the necessary tests and recommended the ER. She didnt even charge me. Very grateful for her honest assessment. Saved me lots of time and stress. 10/10 would recommend if you want fast, professional service

I felt extremely rushed by the MA and he was quick to just look at my daughter and within 3 seconds said, “oh, it’s prob allergies”.Then he asked me if I wanted to get her tested, well of course I do, that’s why I’m here!! The MA proceeds to walk out and comes back with a swab already pointing at my daughter and then proceeds to say “open your mouth” in a rude way. I didn’t like the way we were treated by this particular MA, so because of that, we will never return.

We are very happy with the service from AFC Urgent care as your response to emergency service is wonderful in comparison with regular pediatric unit. Finding out the issue and providing necessary treatment with quick decision is missing in other pediatric units.

AFC was super busy today, but they still got me to the back quickly and allowed me to be seen even though there were no rooms available. I was in a curtained area with a comfortable bed right next to the nurse desk in case I had any questions. The nurse and doctor visited promptly, asking often if I needed or wanted anything. I was treated with respect, and had a strong feeling that the nurses and doctors cared about me. The fact that they open at 8am is wonderful as well. I had a very good experience.

The Cypress AFC Urgent Care is OUTSTANDING! The staff is very friendly, the wait time is short, and the office is very clean. The P.A. (Katherine D.) is the best!! She is very kind and compassionate, and she knows exactly what to do to get you feeling better ASAP. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this urgent care.

My experience because of the nature of my visit unfortunately, I felt rushed. I felt that the doctor was irritated with me because I was asking about my rib and getting it x-rayed at first I didn’t want to and then because I work with autistic children who go into behaviors, resembling, fighting for their life and me being sore and having hesitation with taking deep breaths, let alone lifting anything or trying to block a child from hitting me with chairs, etc. etc. but their fist are kicking me and my rib area because it happens She seem very irritated. When before leaving I said, can I go ahead and get that because if I refuse to restrain a child or I tell my boss was happening ahead of time, if I have proof that I did come in to get that, checked out whether it was a broken rib or bruised rib they would understand why I was refraining from that type of activity and possibly give me a child without those behaviors, but the doctor seemed extremely irritated. I heard her speaking loudly when she was stating that she’s decided she wants to have an x-ray in a very frustrated tone and then I heard her aloud outside my door. She walked past my room with the door closed, stating OK Miss Williams has decided to get an x-ray. I can’t convey the tone via this text, but it made me feel a bit embarrassed, like I was doing something wrong or unneeded and she kept saying well nothings going to change if it’s broken or if it’s bruised, we can’t do anything about that. I’ve never encountered that doctor before, and I would not care to ever encounter her again , not only that because of the nature of the test that I requested which was for a feminine issue due to a change in soap and medication I requested due to some thing again out of my hands that was done to me. She looked at me as though I was dirty, and I will never forget that feeling , I’m not sure if she had a bad day, but it only takes one encounter with an individual to read their spirit, their energy, and just whether or not they have respect for the patients that they deal with. I would rather drive over an hour to the a CF or AFC located on 1463 then to ever Greece the doors of that particular facility because of a chance of running into that doctor, I felt degraded I felt disrespected I felt as though I was an alienation and not a patient in need even with the x-ray. I was not offered any lead vest or anything I was told that it was so my newt the amount of radiation that I did not need it having COPD, and as many x-rays as I’ve had throughout my life of my lungs, CAT scans, full body etc. I was told I should worry more about the ones that are given at the airport by the tech who I’m concerned was not even a tech I digress there’s a lot more I could say, and I kept a smile on my face, and I kept my tone and my words very pleasant but it was not a good visit then I was not given any paperwork when leaving. I was told no everything will be X emailed to you as it to her and me out the door this by far was the worst visit I’ve ever had I understand the staff has changed but people will have these issues to go forward. She also asked me if I had a PCP that could administer the medication I asked for and I explain to her I was new here but with this visit it makes me want to move back where I moved from I was embarrassed and didn’t feel the need to care was taken with me at that time. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! I gave two stars because I did get my medication‘s even though she instead of writing a script for one, wrote the name of a name, brand medication down and did not tell me that I would have to pay out-of-pocket for it instead of my insurance covering it, which maybe my insurance is the reason that the doctor was so dismissive anyway , it was not a good visit and took away from all the pleasant visit I’ve had in the past just one person

I love that I have AFC close by. It is sometimes difficult to get into my primary doctor when I get sick. AFC always accepts me with appointment or walk- in. The doctors there know their stuff. They are also very personable. Not one negative as far as I’m concerned.😊

My trip to Urgent Care today was great. I have a bruised foot and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful.The nurse called me back to collect my vital signs information within minutes.I went to a room and the doctor came in shortly to check out my foot and do an X-ray.Everything went well today and the prior times I have been to this facility.

My experience with AFC has improved a lot compared to what we went through a couple of years ago. Went to AFC a couple of times for various reasons. Their customer service is excellent with friendly staff. Make sure we are taken care of and response is quick. Thank you guys!

Arrived at facility as a walk-in, stated at window I needed to see a doctor regarding my health. Filled out paperwork as a new patient etc and within minutes of my arrival I was called, taken to a room and about 5-8 mins later the doctor comes in and the rest is history. AFCs Urgent Care is a viable option vs ER in terms of cost if you arrive before posted closing hours. If youre not able to see your PCP on short-notice AFC Urgent Care. Make sure youre in-network to mitigate additional costs and based on the severity of your visit you may br in and out within an hour. While this may not be your experience it is mine this time.

The doctor who did my stitches was so patient and kind. She took time to make sure I was comfortable and talked me through the process.When I went to have them checked to see if they were ready to be removed, the doctor working that shift was the total opposite. He barely said hi and mumbled his name. He didnt talk to us or anything. He took the stitches out and we asked him about after care. He just said like this and put a bandaid on it with antibiotic ointment seeping out the sides. The cut opened back up and I basically had to start over due to it not being ready to have the stitches removed. He had AWFUL people skills and clearly did not want to be there.

3/20/24- I came in for Workman’s Comp injury (left hamstring)Worst experience - I had a complete packet of paper work which included a drug test. I completed paperwork in Spanish and had to figure it out. My vitals were taken once taken to the back. Those on shift were scrambling around like chickens with their heads cut off. I had to bring up the drug test because I had to use the bathroom-they were talking among themselves if there was form 😡. After completing the test- I was told to leave the specimen on the counter. The cup was not covered or labeled. My pain questionnaire- I selected mid number for my level of pain w/compression sleeve. I was urged to increase the number or I may be sent back to work🙄2nd red flag.My follow up visit on 3/27/24 was supposed to be to determine if a MRI is needed- which was not done. My leg was not examined at all on neither visits- Mind you I don’t get paid from my 2nd job to be off so this visit was a waist of my time and a lost of pay of $27/hour and am considering not going back on another wasted visit‼️ and to just pay out of pocket for a better health maintenance and care. I dont recommend this place unless you’re desperate or have no choice due to your employer cutting costs. Water spots on the ceiling in the x-ray room. Unprofessional staff and front desk receptionist who is not a people person‼️While waiting for my discharge paper work- I heard laughter and stepped out of the room and the lady was on her phone laughing at whatever was in her phone while my paperwork was sitting on the computer. I don’t like my time wasted- I had to report to my 2nd job‼️Unprofessional Environment‼️

Staff and the doctor were very helpful and efficient. They answered all my questions and listened to my concerns. All machines were working and they had medicine available. The facility was clean and well managed.

I highly recommend this location. After being sick for a month with a variety of conditions that ebbed and flowed, I developed a cough that was relentless and could barely function. The staff here performed many services to make sure I didn’t have pneumonia, covid, flu, etc and ultimately diagnosed me with bronchitis. They treated my cough with a respirator in office which helped me sleep that night and they followed up a few days later to see how I was doing with the prescriptions they gave me. I’m feeling much better now and attribute a speedier recovery to their care and attention.

Please refrain from using this location for any medical care. I have never experienced any medical treatment in this manner. You have your front desk personnel complete registration, do vital and do your xray exam. You can see how wrong this turned out. I get misdiagnosed and provided no extra treatment or guidance. The practitioner had no integrity and showed no empathy. I don’t see how she can practice in the medical field is not the place very dangerous.

Was able to easily schedule a same-day appointment online & complete the paperwork before arriving. Upon arrival, we were greeted promptly & payment was taken.We didn’t have to wait long at all before we were taken back for triage and placed in a room. Dr arrived in room shortly after & provided thorough assessment of my son based on his symptoms. He was able to provide an easy explanation & medication directions for us & send the prescription over to the pharmacy.Our total time in the building was no more than 30 minutes. I was absolutely impressed. I know wait times can vary based on the patient volume at the time, but being that we made an appointment last minute, I am very happy with our experience.

This is literally our go-to clinic in the Cypress area. They are fast, efficient, professional and knowledgeable. I will usually opt to go see them over our pediatrician as I can always get same-day (most times same-hour) appointments and with three kids that works best for our family. They have professional technology and testing and get out results fast. They get our family back on our feet fast. I highly recommend this urgent care/clinic. They are a hidden gem in the cypress area.Also great with children and children that may get anxious.

Awesome service. The receptionist was very kind. The nurse was attentive and friendly while the doctor was so gentle with amazing bedside manners toward my sick 2 year old. I was taken by surprise of the amount of care and attention. The facility is very clean too. Would recommend to anyone needing non-life threatening service but cant wait for their personal PCP.

This was my second visit to AFC and both visits were pleasant ones. Both providers that attended to me were super nice and eager to help me feel better. Prior to AFC I would go to an UC facility that was associated with the hospital organization that I work for and received mediocre to poor care. I was told about AFC after visiting a second UC facility that wasn’t in my healthcare network. I will continue to go to AFC!! The care is phenomenal and the wait time is minimal.

Staff were great, friendly and professional!.. made me feel welcomed even though i was feeling horrible (sick). My nurse Sulema was also great, nice, attentive, she was just amazing. Thank you all for the great experience.

It took 3 phone calls to get ahold of someone. The person who did answer the phone hung up on me mid-sentence. I had to go to another urgent care facility, and they were shocked at the state my injury was in and the fact that AFC did not treat it accurately. I do not know why they have 5 stars, but that needs to get corrected immediately.

This is our go to urgent care . They are always so nice and great oh no matter what we come in with . Again from the gentleman at check in , the sweet nurse to informative doctor I could not ask for more . Great as usual

Brought my son here after a football injury. They got him back quickly, worked quickly and got him comfortable. Turned out he broke his fibula. They treated him with great care and ease. Definitely recommend if urgent care is needed !

Oh my god, this place is A M A Z I N G, and I say that with my true heart. We are lucky to have such great and wonderful people working at AFC Urgent Care! I recommend this place more than the entire MILKY WAY! I came here with my Dad because he had pain in his stomach and in like a few minutes, we were done and he got better! I recommend this place more than the star population so go to this place if you have any hassle with your body!

I brought my baby to this office today and I was 100% satisfied. My baby is almost 11 months and I brought him in for wheezing and coughing. All of the front desk staff were extremely nice and wanted to make sure that I was comfortable. The nurses and assistants were very caring and attentive. The doctor was beyond amazing!! I suggested that he should be a pediatrician because he was so relaxed and interacted so well with my baby. I recommend this clinic to all moms.

This experience far exceeds my experience with my current health care provider whine I call yesterday afternoon, refused to see me unless I first set up a virtual appointment sometime late next week!.

Illiterate front staff. I called and asked about the capabilities of the provider being able to drain a cyst and was told it’s a HIPAA violation to discuss what could happen. IM SIMPLY ASKING IF THE PROVIDER CAN DO IT OR NOT. I’m not asking what will be done for me. Reeducate your front staff on when and how HIPAA is violated and to not just say “it’s a HIPAA violation” to get me off the phone. Memorial Hermann Urgent Care is the way to go.

Came to this urgent care thinking my ribs were broken. The physician poked it and and looked in my throat and told me I had bronchitis and sent me on my way without doing an xray… I went to a different urgent care where they preformed an xray and they told me i definitely have some cracked/broken ribs… -10/10 do not go here

I didn’t have to wait long, great customer service at reception and by the nurse. Eunice was very polite and very warm hearted as well as Ms Monica who very was thorough with the exam, mild mannered and helpful with advice. Great staff …. I felt very comfortable and well taken care of.

Doctors and staff are always welcoming.. And Doctors are always on point... The only complaint, which is a big one, the rooms can be cleaned better since it is a clinic... Rooms or waiting area are not mopped... always hair on floor . Have came twice and same issue... I wiped down the bed with 3 anti bacteria wipes and wipes were brown...told the staff and he said they are just busy and not wiping as they should... what??? Please do better on the cleaning... next time Im going to have to leave

I went in 22 weeks pregnant due to a sinus congestion. I was in and out in less than 1 hr, I’ve had previous experiences where ERs take up to 4 hours, so I was very amazed and glad they were able to help me out in a timely manner. They accept different types of medical insurances, I was able to use Medicaid to cover my visit. Will definitely recommend to anyone who needs medical attention due to their efficiency.

Front desk staff is the rudest I have ever seen at an urgent care. People come here because they are sick. Making them wait for over 2 hours (which we waited 2.5 hrs to get seen), and then being rude and obnoxious when someone would ask how much longer it would take, is absolutely unacceptable. Never coming back here again

I had a great experience at AFC Urgent Care. All the staff was very pleasant and I was seen promptly. Ashley, the Nurse Practitioner, did a great job of explaining her findings and my course of treatment. My discharge materials were very explanatory too. I live near the clinic and it’s nice to know I have this resource so close by for future needs.

I had the BEST provider today, NP Judith Okumu. She was VERY through and gave me meds and Wetaother resources no other care provider has. I prefer coming to this location to get quick and accurate diagnosis and care. Sometimes I like coming her more than my primary since appointments arent necessary and theyre open late and weekends as well.

We were greeted with smiling helpful faces and that carried all the way through to walking out the door. The staff is absolutely amazing and fast less than 25 minutes fast. I will definitely be recommending this facility to anyone that will listen.

AFC was wonderful. I was having difficulty breathing and was sure I was suffering from bronchitis. I made my appointment at 5 AM and was able to get in by 8:20. They got me in right away when I arrived and confirmed that I had bronchitis and gave me a breathing treatment. By the afternoon my breathing was much better. They were very efficient, nice and thorough. Would highly recommend.

My husband was the patient. Service was incredible. The provider, Lauren, was so thoughtful, professional and courteous. She took time to ask all the important questions and went out of her way to make sure we had all our bases covered. We were very impressed with the service and definitely will use this urgent care in the future, even though it’s 30- minutes from our home. We would also like to give accolades to the nice lady that did the testing for Covid, strep and flu. Without a doubt, highly recommend!

I am Registered Nurse this UCC is a total Complete waste of time and money. It’s a complete disservice to the patient, I could have diagnosed and treated myself after waiting 1.5hrs to be seen. Just to have OTC treatment recommended

NP Dani has good bedside manners. She wasnt quick to dismiss my questions but willing to have a discussion to make sure the route were taking is a safe one. I will certainly come back again should I need medical assistance.

I went in with my 6 year old daughter who has special needs. The wait time was minimum and the nurse practitioner that saw us was amazing. It took us less than 20 minutes. It was great

Everytime I have come here, Service has always been quick and staff is friendly for the most part. The times I have gone in was usually after getting off work, so I truly appreciated the quick service. I understand that some people prefer long visits but I usually have some idea about what is needed for treatment, so I like to direct, quick service. Will definitely continue to return for all my families urgent care needs.

Tested positive for covid , they were able to get us in quickly. The doctor asked many questions and explained everything to us clearly. They gave us a steroid shot and meds. This made wonders the next. Felt 90% better. The price was very reasonable. First time here, and I definitely will return. Great customer service,

The DR. I seen was great, the staff is nice and friendly but I would not recommend this place, they billed my insurance wrong, it has been half a year and still not straightened out. I tried to call the company they have handling billing and they are useless. I was told I needed a referral and after a month of being told we will e mail it, I still have not got anything from them. Save yourself the headache.*edit* I was there over 6 months ago, I gave them all my insurance info to make copies of, they still dont have the correct info and is get calls & texts demanding money, meanwhile my insurance says they have NEVER been presented a bill or they would have paid it. Please avoid this place.

Visited AFC urgent care today for an allergic reaction. Great staff and very friendly staff. My front desk experience was really quick and no forms. I gave the necessary info. right at the window. Front desk agent took care of everything. The nurse and doctor who treated me Perfect 10. I was in and out with prescriptions sent to the pharmacy in good time. Everyone was so pleasant and kind. Also, my visit was not rushed. Appropriate attention and time was given. THANK YOU!!!

Very happy with the service!My 7 year old needed a COVID test and they were able it set me up an appointment right away. We did not wait long to be seen. But the best part was the nurse that saw us. She was so friendly and sweet to my son. He was nervous and she made the whole experience a pleasant one.

Needed some quick pain relief to address some muscle spasms. AFC team was quick to get me in and out addressing my needs. Highly recommended.

I had a deep cut on my finger and had to get stitches, Dr. Kelsee (spell check) was kind and friendly thought out the entire process. She made me feel as comfortable as possible , even cracking jokes.Overall It was a Good Visit!!

My kid felt sick and needed an appointment to rule out anything serious. I was able to get into the clinic very quickly, we only waited about 10 minutes to get called back even though there was some new patient paperwork. Once back there, they quickly got my kids vitals and work up, decided to swab for covid, flu, and strep. The NP came back to let us know it was all good, and we we got our school note. In and out of the place in about 45 minutes total including waiting on test results. By far one of the easiest urgent care trips weve ever had, and it was just a bonus everything was very clean and everyone was so friendly.Id be happy to use this place again if we need it!

The staff was very polite and nice. The service was extremely fast. We were in and out in 1 hr. That’s including waiting in the lobby, being seen by an amazing doctor, got an X-RAY which was also sent to another doctor offsite for second opinion. The doctor we saw was extremely helpful, addressed all my concerns, took his time examining and evaluating my sick kid. Definitely recommend this place than any other big hospital with their huge wait times.

Doctor was sympathetic about my symptoms even though I’m sure it’s the millionth flu case he’s seen lately, and took the time to try to strategize about relieving the symptoms. Will definitely come here again.

It was my first time visiting this urgent care after being seen at another one a week prior. I loved that they took the time to listen to my concerns and addressed all my questions.

AFC urgent care was a great experience. Very clean facility and friendly staff. The wait time was less that 5 minutes. Although, I went in early morning, it was a nice experience, with a wonderful doctor that did not rush. She took the time to exam me throughly. Thank you for your service.
