Howard Brown Health at Thresholds South

So far, I’ve had two visits here within two weeks of each other and I’ve gotten more answers and help than I have in the last two YEARS with my previous PCP. I did wait for over an hour at my first visit but I had nowhere to be and I’m patient. When it was my turn, they sincerely apologized for the wait and then gave me unhurried, thorough care.A cherry on top, HB’s patient portal is extremely user friendly and has numerous features. The only function my last patient portal offered was requesting refills which worked 25% of the time.Thanks, HB!

Ghetto ! It looks like you’re walking in someone’s apartment building upon arrival. Appointments always getting canceled. However Dr.Mya Green is amazing !

First of all, the place isnt handicap accessible. Secondly, Dr. Mateo is not a personable person and quite rude. When I came in for my appt on Dec 8th, 2022 for my fractured ankle, he entered the room and just stared at me and my friend for a few seconds. Maybe he forgot how to speak for that moment so I took initiative and said hello.Then, when I asked if he had an Ace bandage, he replied no. However, they were in the cabinet of the room we were in. Thanks to Tiffany for helping us out with that. I like HBHC but this particular one is horrible. The building needs major sprucing up. Hell, they need a new location all together and Dr. Mateos attitude needs improving or replace him with someone who actually loves their job.

They took my insurance and it never made it into the system so when I went to pick up my medicine they said hey u need a prior authorization from ur Insurance it’s something your doctor has to call and do. This was nov 2 I called brown and informed them myself they claim they did it already I waited now it’s the 7th and still nothing so I call again why they say they needed another copy of my insurance ok now it’s the 12th and still nothing Walgreens keeps saying u need this authorization done or it bill is 300 bucks just don’t waste ur time the people don’t do they job right at all

Extremely kind, open minded staff. Respectful of your time and get things done fast. One of the best clinics I’ve been to ever. Would recommend especially for transgender individuals seeking a safe and reliable clinic

A little disappointed with this facility. Couldn’t make it to a doctor’s appointment, but needed to speak with doctor about the medications I am on. I asked if the doctor could call me during the time I would’ve came in (5pm..) I called at 10am. The lady took my number, and said she could probably call. Three hours later I received a text message saying my appointment was canceled, and no phone call was given.

Wish I could give it zero stars so sick of this freaking place they do not I repeat do not care about you the staff doesnt care none of them care the pretend to care about you its been almost 2 weeks and I have to keep calling you to refill my stuff and it hasnt been Wish I couldve known about this place before I wouldve chosen another clinic

This place is amazing. Everyone is so nice and is on a mission to help. Not just at this location but 47th as well. Bethany was an amazing LNP and her staff was just as helpful. Thank you for all that you guys do!

Their billing department is completely unreachable from any method, and we keep getting charged $200 for visits that are supposed to be $0

Very lovely and welcoming people. Not located in the best area, but the staff provide a welcome, safe, and understanding environment for new and returning patients. Thank you so much!

This clinic is the absolute worst ! They never do what they say they are going to do … to reach someone is damn near impossible I would never recommend this clinic to anyone ever they do not care about their patients and it shows
