I had a surgery for fibroids a year ago and I have mixed feelings about it. The good thing is my bleeding during my period has gone down considerably. However, since Ive stopped birth control prescribed by doctor Williams, I have been experiencing extreme, almost unbearable pain during my period. I wanted my fibroids removed but doctor Williams insisted on reducing them only. My belly is still big because of them. I have made an appointment with another doctor to have a second opinion.
I was battling fibroids and heavy menstrual bleeding for years. My regular gynecologist and her nurse practitioner strongly recommend that I get a hysterectomy. I did not want a hysterectomy so I asked about other options and was told hysterectomy was my best option. I left their office with plans on never going back and was on a mission to seek out other options. Im not sure what I Googled but I came across Dr. Nicole Williams. I was very impressed with her credentials. I made an appointment and she was very caring, thorough, attentive, and just made me feel like my decision mattered. Dr. Williams informed me that hysterectomy was not my only option. Long story short, she preformed a procedure called Acessa with endometrial ablation and now, I no longer have crime scene periods. I am so pleased with Dr. Williams, her office staff, and surgery team. I was so blessed to have found her and I highly recommend her.
I schedule an appt with Dr. Williams due to her credentials and reviews but I have to say I was not impressed. My appt was at 11:40 and was seen around 12:20ish (I don’t mind waiting as long as my questions and concerns are being answer)and when she went in the room she was like well I see your here for your annual and proceeded. I had a few questions and she told me her Medical Assistant will answer my questions. Then before she walked out dr Williams stated I need to call or check the portal for test results as her office don’t call. It’s been a little over a week and I have called for test results and checked the portal and nothing has been uploaded or have heard back from her office since they return phone calls within 48 -72 hrs per the VM.Updated: Dr. Williams returned my call and she went over my test results and apparently there was a system glitch where I was not able to view my test results
It was a quick appointment visit as everything was moving along very smoothly from being seen by the NP to blood draw. Some of the staff members do work like they’re in a huge rush and wasn’t talking in a kind tone but I understand. NP was professional and gentle on examination. Blood work was done fast and painless. The only complain I have so far is the inability to reach anyone in the office to get my lab results. No one has called to follow on my lab work since I was seen (2 weeks ago). The only person I could get through to was the scheduler but obviously she has nothing to do with the internal of the clinic. To this day I still can’t get a hold of anyone. I’m not sure why the clinic is set up this way and it led me to write this review.Updates: I left message with the scheduler and she followed up for me by notifying the office to give me a call, which the NP called me maybe 20 mins after. Scheduler was very pleasant and thankful for her assistance.
If you are looking for a knowledgeable, personable Doctor with an excellent bedside manner, I have to say Dr. Nicole Williams is Excellent!!! I am a fairly new patient I started seeing her at the start of 2017, because I wanted a Dr. that listened to my concerns & was honest with his/her finding. I have to say that I made a great decision in switching my OBGYN provider. I highly recommend giving the Dr. a chance and be honest with her and she will definitely be honest with you. I appreciate Dr. Williams & her supportive team both in the clinic & her hospital team.Thank you!!
Best OB in Chicago! Great office vibes, caring staff . You are in and out! The front desk brings all the good vibes, and high frequency to start, the ladies are a great team. Rachel is also great at multitasking and making sure your smiling before you walk away! That really made my day!I have to say this is the only place with a phlebotomist that has skills she was able to draw my blood with one poke , and no pain.Dr. Williams you have a great team! The only hick up IS THE WABASH LOCATION HAS NO PARKING UNLESS YOU PAYING. SAVE THE HEADACHE OF LOOKING FOR A PARK.THERE ARE SOME FREE SPOTS OUT AVAILBE, BUT MOSTLY FULL BY 08:30! I ADVISE TAKING THE BUS OR TRAIN THEY ARE BOTH AT DOOR STEP.
Left messages almost two weeks ago regarding a prescription refill. No one ever responded. Reset my password to the portal to communicate with Dr. Williams. I even made an appointment online; however, it appears questionable. It appears patient portal is no longer active. The writing is on the wall to take my business elsewhere. If she is overwhelmed with patients, she may need to make some business decisions before her ratings fall drastically. All patients have the power to choose where they spend their money for quality service. Unfortunately, the business owners forget that. Poor customer service travels fast.
LOVE love love Dr. Nicole Williams! I started seeing her a few years ago and wow, I couldnt enjoy seeing an OBGYN any more. She has the sweetest, warmest bedside manner ever. Her overall demeanor makes you feel safe and heard and like you can tell her anything with zero judgement. She keeps it real, as if youre chatting with a close girlfriend.
Wrong advice, poor record keeping, no patient counseling, inaccurate and incomplete test monitoring; and just total lack of responsibility for patient care.Issue 1 - Over the years I have asked to get fertility testing done, just to know where I stood. I was discouraged to do this by stating of you are so young. Come to find out, even young people can have serious diminished ovarian reserve. Which I would have hoped a gyno would educate their patients about and not discourage.Issue 2 - I need my paps and breast examination records for fertility testing; have been asking for weeks and finally come to find out they are incomplete.Issue 3 - Wrong tests was ordered for me twice. Even when I toldI had been Dr. Williams patient through my late twenties and now I am into my mid thirties. During my younger years, I had very little need for a good gynecologists since I was generally very healthy, so I didnt realize how little effort and care is put forward. I wish I had found a more caring and responsible doctor.
I am absolutely amazed! I hate going to the Dr. because usually I book through a large hospital network and have to wait for 3 months before I can be seen. I called the office to see if they took my insurance on Friday, and went in for my first appointment today.Dr. Williams, was warm, informative, educational, patient, kind, and gentle. She asked about what I was experiencing, what information I was operating under, then gave my logic, science and facts to back up her recommendations. Its so hard to find a Dr. to build a trusting relationship with that is available for appointments when you need or want them. it is so hard to find someone that will get you into the office quickly, and treat you like someone the deserves to know what is going on with your body, and what options are available. My only recommendation is, be prepared to pay for parking, or park at TJs at your own risk.
Dr. Williams is probably the best gynecologist I’ve ever had. Super professional and warm, and takes her time to listen and really care. Her staff are really nice and efficient, too. (They also make you herbal tea.) I live in Evanston and travel all the way to the South loop because I refuse to see anybody else!
I am redoing my review of this obgyn office for 2 reasons. 1.) I love having Dr. Williams as my obgyn and 2.) Their front of house staff has improved 10 fold. Being someone who went from having several things go wrong in just really bad ways to now being very pleased with them again, I know it seems odd but they renewed my faith.I came back after not visiting for a little over a year and worked with Dr. Nicole Williams through having an enlarged cyst on one of my ovaries. Going through the procedure was made more difficult because of covid, but we were able to make it happen and I was helped through all the appointments and dates and paperwork with very attentive and caring front of house staff. Truly was a 180 for them!I recommend this obgyn to every friend I know who lives in the city and now one of them started recommending her as well, I am really and truly happy I gave them another chance. It was the doctors I loved and now they have good front of house people to back them up!
Dr. Williams is an amazing doctor. From day one i received nothing less than professional service , compassion from the entire staff. I recently had a hysterectomy which she did an amazing job. Thank you Dr. Williams youre the best!
Dr. Williams is fantastic! She really explains everything and makes a usually awkward kind of appointment very comfortable. I really appreciated that she took the time to answer my questions and didn’t make me feel weird about it. Her staff and her office are also wonderful , and you really can’t beat the location near several train lines and above a Trader Joe’s!
Dr. Williams well deserves her award! For about the last 5 years I am proud to have her as my doctor who is easy to communicate with, explains everything in a kind and professional manner and most of all her patience is so appreciated.Ms. Haliburton 😊
I learned so much about my post pregnancy body (daughter is 2) in my first appointment with Dr. Williams ever before. Hands down the most personable, professional and on time doctor Ive experienced. The office is beautifully decorated and so modern. I am finally happy to have an OBGYN that I is vested in my health goals.
Best Doctor I have seen in ages. She is kind, warm, inviting and just great to be around. I was really worried and she put me at ease and handled the whole situation so calmly. I would highly recommend her. She is my new gyn!!
Unfortunately this medical practice is too sloppy and disorganized for me to return.(1)Came in for my annual lady exam; the NP didn’t even perform a breast exam..isn’t that a typical part of a “women’s” annual exam, or do I need another appointment for this?(2)I was also scheduled for foot surgery a week after my lady exam so I asked the NP to sign an affidavit that she performed a physical exam on me(the NP signed but of course did no exam ). The pre-surgery affidavit also required blood work and a pregnancy test. The techs collected urine but forgot to test for pregnancy..so why is Dr. Williams staff collecting urine from patients for no reason?(3) of course I had to return to Dr Williams office a day before surgery to re-run the pregnancy test they forgot(4) my surgeon received the results of my bloodwork...and I never did, no clue of the resultsDouble blank stare!
These appointments are always stressful for me. When I called to make the appointment, they seemed very kind. They asked me for my contact and private info, and set my appointment. They said I would recieve an email to add my info in for my 1st appointment, and I never recieved the email. I had to call back, apparently they got my birthday and my email address wrong. I finally got my info. When I showed up for my appointment, they said I was at the wrong location and would need to travel from Bucktown to south loop at 530 on a Monday.... they charge a 150 cancelation fee and I already paid the 15 copay online. I had to call this location and the woman on the phone was so incredibly rude to me and told me to just come in tomorrow like I can just take off work with absolutely no notice... when I tried explaining that I expected a refund and that I would have to call back on a later date to reschedule, she HUNG UP ON ME!!!! She blew up at me on the phone, and hung up!!! I naturally called back, and was placed immediately on hold. After being on hold for 5 mins, I hung up and called back. She answered and I said I think my call got disconnected and she placed me on hold for another 10 mins!!! I even had my family member try to call back for me and she did the same thing to her!!!! So UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE!!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR NEEDS, unless you want to be treated like garbage.
I was very happy with Dr. Nicole Williams and her entire staff.Dr. Williams was informative and thorough. She and her staff called me back quickly on different occasions to answer all my questions and ease my concerns. I highly recommend her office!
Dr. Halfmann is amazing! She makes sure you’re comfortable and doesn’t make things awkward. I’ve been to her twice now and it was easy to get an appointment and quick in and out. Highly recommend!
She is amazing. Ladies, especially those that have had kids, you do not have to suffer with stress incontinence. Go see Dr Williams, she can help you! She went through my options and I wish I had taken care of this years ago.
I have suffered from uterine fibroid for years. Dr. Williams was patient, and listened to my history. She suggested the Acessa Procedure for me. I am excited to finally be able to look forward to some relief from my discomfort.
I loved my experience with the staff and the doctor. All of my questions were answered. The office is modern, which I like. I was seen in a timely manner, I dont feel I waited very long. Overall great experience!
Dr. Williams took my call around 5am a few yrs ago on her emergency line I didnt talk to an answering service I spoke with HER AND SHE IMMEDIATELY GOT ME INTO HER OFFICE FOR CARE she is a Class Act 💪🏾and I refuse to go anywhere else Especially when Everything you need is done right in her Office...
Dr Williams is wonderful! She has a great bed side manner I would definitely recommend her.
