Planned Parenthood - Englewood Health Center

The staff is really great at this location and the wait time is not bad at all. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The quality of care is also great. The reason I didn’t give this location 5 stars is because I had an appointment scheduled and it was canceled with no call or reason given, and I had to reschedule on my own. I couldn’t get another appointment until 2 weeks later. It is also very hard to get through to the receptionist over the phone, whereas I don’t have this problem with other locations.

Honestly always an issue. No longer giving take home pregnancy tests but the bigger issue is I wanted to walk in and purchase a morning after pill at 640 and they said they were getting ready to close. I didnt want to be seen just make the purchase. So much for being available for women.. And stopping pregnancies.

I was here a long time but I will say the entire staff/team were so kind. I had to have interacted with 10 different people leading up to my surgical procedure and I was in good hands the entire time. I highly recommend this location.

I am a long time donor of planned parenthood but it wasnt until a friend recommended this location that I actually visited one. The facility is clean, well kept, and the staff is pleasant. I had a very good first experience, my wait time was about 30 min to be seen by staff who took down my history and then about another 20 minutes to be seen by a doctor. I didnt mind the wait since they took their time with me. However, my recent visit left me very disappointed. Upon my arrival I was asked for my id and insurance card and asked to wait. After a few minutes the receptionist proceeded to inform me that their computer system was down and there would be a long wait. When I asked how long, I was told that there were patients who had already been waiting over an hour and I could expect to be waiting 2 or more hours. It took a month for me to make this appointment and I had to request the day off from work. No one had the courtesy to call me prior to my arrival to inform me of this delay. This showed that they have little regard for their clients. I will not be returning.

By far the best experience I’ve ever had, the staff is so welcoming and friendly. This is my second time coming to planned parenthood and to be quite frank I was terrified to get my Nexplanon removed, never have I ever been more satisfied. These people are VERY PROFESSIONAL, and they made me feel instantly comfortable and taken care of, give these women a raise.

The staff is friendly but the wait is always super long. The providers are literally always backed up no matter the time or day. This is a consistent issue you would think they work on scheduling since they obviously cant keep up. You will literally be here all day no matter what youre there for. Overall very slow cant keep up with their schedules. Unless you have no issues with spending your whole day there I would not recommend that location.

I had an extremely positive experience here. The clinic was clean and the staff including front desk, nurses and doctor were kind, compassionate and patient. Thank you Planned Parenthood LIC for your dedication and invaluable service to women.

First time coming to planned parenthood. I can’t believe this establishment gets such a bad rep. This location was one of the cleanest nicest obgyn I’ve ever been to. The front desk staff are pleasant. Medical assistants here are thorough and know what they’re doing. The nurses seem burnt out probably from influx of patients but they are still doing their best to provide the best care. I was not rushed I was listened to and I will be making this my permanent obgyn.

3 stars because my trips until my last one here were good.I visited July 2022 for my annual and informed the doctor I saw that I was starting to get migraines every one or two weeks after never having had them more than twice a year, and was wondering if it could be related to the pill. I was on a combo pill and she prescribed me a different combo pill. I reacted very poorly to coming off the original pill. My complaint is that estrogen is a migraine trigger and I found this out when my GP I saw months later was floored the dr here recommended another estrogen containing pill. There is at least one medical provider here who has no idea what she is prescribing. She should have recommended a POP or another estrogen free option. What else is she prescribing that she doesnt know anything about?

Super fast! Of course I had an early appointment. Receptionist told me it was going to be a busy day and from what Ive read the wait can be brutal. I suggest, if you can, go in first thing in the morning. It was empty when I came in about 9am and I was done in about an hour and a half, and that included a visit with a financial counselor! New, well kept, beautiful place. Friendly, helpful, excellent staff. Definitely going back.

I have been going to this clinic for a little over a year now. The staff is very professional and friendly. The facility is clean, comfortable, and looks nice. The only reason why they received 4/5 stars is because the wait time is pretty lengthy as mentioned in other comments. It usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours just to get called into the exam room and the staff is so busy that you will only see a doctor for short period. I do wish I could spend longer consultations with the physicians but they always seem so busy. I would recommend you plan ahead for a long wait.

It is a great clinic very clean and organized, the staff is amazing really care about their patients. My only complain is the wait time is crazy I had a 3:20 apt was there 2:45 thinking id get out much earlier did not get out until almost 6 PM. Just wish they worked on that. bit but I was overall very happy with their service.

I am changing my 5 star review to a 1 star review. Customer service has gone WAY DOWN. Nobody answers the phone, and rude people cancel appointments without warning.Amazing how much of a difference a couple of months have made in this place. She was patient and answered alllll of my questions.

This planned parenthood is so clean and professional. the staff is wonderful. it was my first time there. there was barely any wait time. they tell you how long you gonna be there for. they ask you your pronouns. I absolutely recommend it to anyone. this planned parenthood is the closest to me. i love it.

It’s a good centre and the care is affordable but their computer system doesn’t work and it has taken weeks to get a simple referral put through - meaning I shall face further delays to get seen. The appointment line is constantly jammed with an average waiting time of 30 mins and appointments are regularly booked for months out.

I dont know about anyone else but I had this preconceived thought about Planned Parenthood and it wasnt exactly the most positive. But that changed when I visited this facility yesterday. From the moment I arrived until I walked out those doors I was treated kindly, respectfully, professionally and compassionately by EVERY staff member I had to meet with. The place was very clean, organized and the decor was colorful and bright. This location definitely gets a two thumbs up from me.

Another great experience at a Planned Parenthood. I loved my provider and felt like everyone was very empathetic and caring. They were a bit behind schedule so my appointment started pretty late in the afternoon but the sonographer stayed a little later to do an ultrasound on me and I was very grateful. Ive had some of my best medical care experiences at Planned Parenthoods (Manhattan and Long Island City locations), I highly recommend.

I have been to this Planned Parenthood three times so far and have had nothing but positive experiences. The doctors and staff are extremely helpful. Sometimes there is a considerable wait, but thats been the case at every doctor Ive been to. I will definitely continue to go here.

The office itself is great and i never have an issue. However everytime I call, it’s an issue with the SAME woman. First of all I called once to get my pharmacy changed and she couldn’t find the pharmacy that I needed. She then proceeded to tell ME that I need to get it together. I called a second time and she was finally able to find my pharmacy. I asked if I needed a refill and she told me that I didn’t because I already had three. I go to the pharmacy… nothing (mind you this pharmacy is an hour drive because she couldn’t find the one closest to me. so i drove an hour for NOTHING). I called for a third time and she had the worst attitude telling me she didn’t know what my problem was. She said it’s probably because there was no refill and that I needed to request a refill even though SHE was the one who told me that I didn’t need to. When she was done she hung up the phone on me. Get it together. If you don’t know what you’re doing just say that. If you hate your job then quit. You don’t know what people are going through to be talking to them any way that you feel like it.

Been here a few 2 years and half ago, and this review has been long overdue, this place was clean and professional. Staff are very nice. The doctors are super sweet and very helpful. I have recommended this place to others and they can say the same.

Receptionist wouldnt listen to me about the insurance that I DID NOT WANT ON FILE ANYMORE. It doesnt matter if theres no charge. I am the PATIENT and I choose which insurance I want on file. Then my appointment was pushed back 2 hours, and I could not leave and come back, because if they called my name during that time, it would be considered no-call no show. One of the bathrooms also doesnt close. Not going back.

Excellent and modern new facilities. More importantly, excellent staff - from the receptionists to the medical assistants to the doctors, everybody was warm, non judgmental, and top notch. Ive only had one visit, but I would definitely visit again, and highly recommend to anybody seeking reproductive services.

This was such a clean and sweet office very professional … they are a life saver I went for iud copper they helped me I was late for appointments they still took me I am thank ful .. I am glad cause they don’t allow kids in there .. they gave me birth control right away with my insurance .

I went to the planned parenthood in queens,NY. The best staff by far.The office is clean.Everybody is friendly and pleasant.Doctors and staff take the time to explain things to you ,answer any and all questions you may have.everybody is awesome!!they make you feel very comfortable. You do have to wait awhile before they call you be seen,but its well worth it.And the only reason there is a wait is because they are taking the time to give the patients the very best service possible.And not rushing you out the door.

Inviting & comfortable atmosphere. Staff are warm and compassionate. I was a walk-in trying to get the Depo shot but there was no availability until August (hence 4 stars as oppose to 5); so appointment made!

Had such a great experience at this planned parenthood lactation. Everyone I spoke to from the receptionist, nurse doing my vitals to the nurse practitioner, were unbelievably friendly. I’m going back here for now on. :)

This place is very professional, and the wait was not long at all . The staff talks you through the process and give you option on what you would like to do after your procedure . The facility is very well kept and very clean , and everyone who works with you are respectful and nice .

I had a 330pm appt to pick up birth control, and waited over 2 hrs bfore my name was even called. Then the process toook another hour. The worst part, walk ins were seen before i was, people who came after me where left before me, clean and beautiful facility however service scheduling and wait time is the absolute worst. I will never go back there, and would advice others to just elsewhere unless ur a person who doesnt mind a long wait.

My regular OBGYN no longer takes my insurance, so I went to PP LIC. From beginning to end, this was a great experience. When I asked if I could take some LGBT pronoun stickers for the students I work with, the women at the front desk who was very professional told me to take them all and asked if I needed other stickers, such as safe Space stickers. Info was taken in a quick and orderly fashion, my wait time for exam rm was probably 5-10 minutes, exceptional for NYC, And the PA, I think her name was Crystal Garcia was nice, professional, thorough, non-judgemental, and gentle. I waited a little for the nurse practitioner, but the exam was quick, she was professional, and gave good explations. I would definitely go back, recommend, and Im even thinking of upping my $10 a month donation to $20. #IstandwithPP

I had an appointment at 11am to get an IUD placed in and Ive been sitting in the waiting room for an hour and a half. I asked at the front desk in the beginning if they were running behind so that I could gauge my day..( I have class at BMCC). She said not really. After an hour I asked about my status and she replied you are next. 40 minutes later, Im still here waiting.

My girlfriend had an appointment at 1PM to switch IUDs and we are still here at 3:48PM... PP is amazing and I support them with donations hence the five stars. This is mostly just a warning for those who may have plans later in their day...this is ridiculous...

Ive had a couple of procedures done here and every time I swear something goes wrong! I got my iud put in on april 12.. today I went in because I can no longer feel the strings. They neglected to see me even tho In the pamflit they gave me it states I should come in if I dont feel the strings as it could be misplaced. Which is extremely dangerous.Their answer was I can wait till end of July to be seen by them or go to the ER. Do not trust them find another center or a gyn who will actually take their time and take care of you.

This is Ridiculous that I have to waited for an hour 30 minutes. I have been here almost 2 years never have to waited like this long period of time, they are so slow lately and the front Receptionist are not helpful at all!I was never expected to have to waited like this and late for my work. And they don’t really care for the old customers and they just don’t acknowledge.

My appointment was at 10 and I’m still here at 12 havent see any change. I’m extremely upset because I can’t understand why I’m here for a specific service and I’m watching others go. I don’t want to bring race into this but today was not right . Court street may not always move efficiently but they make sure I’m not sitting for 2 hours

I went to planned parenthood because of an unplanned pregnancy that i couldnt keep due to my health issues.They basically led me on until the last minute when their nurse let me know they couldnt give me a pill abortion or a regular abortion due to my health issues apparently im a liability and apparently they can only give abortions to healthy non disabled people. Thankfully they gave me a list of places i could get my abortion shockingly most of the in hospital gyno offices for private insurance dont do abortions unless you have medicaid. so here i am still pregnant.... luckily i found a place to go have my procedure done. They were kind i just dont appreciate that they led me on to believe i was going to have the procedure done until the last step.

For trans folk looking to start hormone therapy at PP don’t even bother. They never get back to you when you have to get a refill.

Overall I love the experience, the place was very professional. You can get your manual check ups here as well, they really know what they are doing so the experience itself wasn’t bad.

The staff is really nice and they truly make the effort to make you feel as comfortable as possible. It is clean and organized. 10/10

I had an amazing experience at this PP location. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. I was so pleased with the service here I probably won’t ever go to another location!

The clinic is very clean and colorful . Staff members are okay . My only complain is the waiting time !! Its ridiculous!!! 2-5 hours of waiting and it feels very unpleasant.

They are very irresponsible. Yesterday my wife had an appointment and when she arrived they did not attend to her because they supposedly did not have trained personnel. Today she called to schedule another appointment and they told her to show up today at 2:30 pm when she was on her way and received a call from them saying that they couldnt serve her today either, she ah Lost 2 days of work due to their lack of professionalism I dont recommend this place to anyone she traveled from new haven ct
