Jasmin at the front desk was great! She was patient and kind. I did not feel rushed at all. Ulancy was also amazing and made me feel safe and heard. She asked all the right questions and explained everything, so I was not confused. This was my first time here, and I would definitely recommend coming here.

I strongly recommend this urgent care center. Jenaury, at the front desk, was the epitome of professionalism. I had a major problem with documents and paperwork and she was so patient! I had to go to her over and over and she never lost her cool. I’ve come here before and I’ve always had a pleasant experience. 5 stars!

Staff was very friendly and helpful, received my dot card and did a whole physical with no problems. Would definitely recommend this location to any drivers, if you want it done right. On the other hand if you want it done wrong go to ESSEN urgent care. Where they over charge you and do things that you don’t need to have done. Thank you AFC urgent care for getting it done right.

Always a quick time here. I saw Dr. Hughes who always well informs me of what’s going on with me or my family. Medical assistant Ulancy asked all of the necessary questions and was pleasant. The lady at the front desk, Yariezy, greeted me and took my information. She too was pleasant. This is my go-to urgent care.

This location is my familys go to urgent care. They are clean, professional, kind, and informative. All of the staff members Stephanie, Kenton. Jasmin, Ulancy and Fatima are exceptional. Thank you, I am so glad wonderful and pleasant Healthcare professionals are in our neighborhood

Arrived at 830am on a Monday. Empty waiting room and have been sitting in the waiting room for over an hour and my vitals weren’t even taken. You want to know what was taken quicker than the word quick, my payment. Once payment was received you just sit there to rot. Do not come here, if you want to receive better service there’s about 6 other urgent cares within a 5 block radius to try. These people just do not have it figured out and have no urgency with patients, maybe it’s because of the demographics of the neighborhood but the service being provided here is terrible. If the sign-in process takes over an hour, but payment is taken within minutes, just goes to show what this place is about. They don’t care about your health, they just care about your money.

So I went in two days ago on 2/12/24 because I had a really bad headache and body aches and was feeling under the weather I was tested for Covid , flu, strep throat and everything was negative I was only given a injection for my headache and prescribed Motrin. The nurse was very nasty and rude. , I went back today because of the same symptoms but also because I was now throwing up and had chills which my symptoms worsen. I unfornately Had the same nurse attending to me and again was being very rude when she saw me for the second time she told me “ wasn’t you here the other day , why your back all we’re gonna do is the same test “ you should have not came back and go to the hospital. She was very rude about it. Yes I was tested for the flu and Covid again but my results for the flu were positive. Other than having a nasty nurse the doctor treated me well and. Prescribed the appropriate medications so I can get better .

Went on a sunday. Clean facility. The staff was friendly. Great service

Pleasant and inviting. I don’t think I’ve ever been to an establishment where everyone and everything gives you a sense of peace! It’s like when you walked through the doors you just knew everything was going to be okay. I don’t have a PCP yet but if I could make AFC Urgent Care Bronx 149th my Medical Center Home Base I would. The Doctor I saw is all about his patients. His tactics are straightforward. I was so against going to the ER , but he put it to me in a way that I couldn’t even argue with him. It takes a lot to impress me but he did and he didn’t have to use a lot of words to do it. Straight and to the point !! He Cares About Everyone that walks through his door.THANK YOU STAFF OF URGENT CARE , YOU ARE ALL APPRECIATED!😃😃

Upon arriving facility was clean, staff was prompt, nurse was very detailed in asking questions met with Dr. had some x-rays done sure enough I was sick and had what I believed I had. Was very thorough, doctor explanation was good I understood them wrote me some prescriptions and I’m on the road to recovery now. Will definitely visit again when I’m sick. This place is far from lgbtqia friendly and definitely not Trans friendly. My last visit had them use my dead name and the wrong gender. They even put the wrong gender on the bill sent to my insurance. Despite all my legal information being changed. So my insurance didnt pay and they sent a bill to me. When I called their billing to fix the problem so they can get paid they refused to fix their mistake. Their parent company is a christian run organization as I found out trying to learn who to call next. Dont expect anything better from afc if youre in the lgbtqia community. Also if you got the flu with a 102 or 103 degree temps dont go there if you want to get better.

I came here earlier today with my boyfriend, he needed a referral for dental extractions and the front desk lady told us they don’t provide these services. I’ve been to numerous of urgent cares and I’ve never experience this lack of help and urgency needed. I will not be coming back here.

The service was good, but there was a bit of a wait because it was busy. I had an X-ray done with the X-ray tech Shirley, she was friendly, made me feel comfortable, & explain the process efficiently. Also the young man that took care of me before I saw the doctor was very nice & understanding of my pain which was much appreciated.

Friendly service Greeted and helped by Shirley (lovely young lady) they seem a little busy but the wait wasn’t bad at all clean waiting area roomy. Came in because I had been having pain in my right heal the doctor recommended a X-ray and guess who was my tech Shirley very nice multitalented. You can tell she has a lot on her plate but gave great service with a smile.

I was in pain and the staff was very helpful. I had a bad experience at another urgent care the same morning so it was a relief. The staff is cool and they work really really fast. And Shirley the X-ray tech is really nice. Dr Hughes treated me respectfully.

Dr. Hughes was fantastic and provided us with excellent travel counseling and vaccines. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating.

I called before I arrived because I was nervous about going to a clinic during the pandemic. I spoke to Shirley, who immediately put me @ ease. She was very informative, patient & courteous over the phone as well as in person. Gissel & Vince tended to me with care. Each of them made my visit pleasant. I left feeling confident & cared for.

The best, fastest and friendliest urgent care in the south Bronx!!!I go to this urgent care all the time. Recently I twisted my ankle so I wasn’t in the mood but Dr. Hughes personality changed that he is such a happy person with a good sense of humor so it rub off on me Jessica the MA was quick and efficient my visit ended with a X-ray Shirley was the tech that day made sure the positions that I had to stay in wasn’t painful. She is really kind! Long story short the staff is the best

We are Canadians visiting New York. The staff were very welcoming starting with Shirley in reception right through to the nurses and doctors. They made us feel comfortable and confident in their ability to resolve my husband’s issue. There is a strong sense of team and respect among the staff with a focus on the patient throughout. Great experience.

I had to wait for about 1and 1/2 to be seen due to their system being down. But service was great. Everything was very clean which is a plus for me. Staff apologize for the wait and told me patients are usually in and out a lot faster. Also staff is extremely patience because there was a woman talking on the phone and everyone heard her business. I feel someone should have told her to keep it down or take it outside.

Went in with a gash on my head needing stitches. Treatment was awesome friendly professional and caring. NP Sophie Brown administered the stitches so well after they were taken off one can hardly see the scar. Thanks to her I still have a modeling career.

The wait to be seen was minimal and the exam was thorough, the staff was nice and considerate. X-rays were done on site within minutes, Shirley, the tech, made me feel at ease and made sure I was comfortable while she took X-rays.

It was a pleasure working with the staff especially Rumana who made the process of getting my family members the vaccine easy as can be! We didn’t have to wait at all and our questions/concerns were answered. The professionalism in this office is top notch. Thank you everyone for all that you do and continue being great !

The staff at the site were very professional. The wait time was less than I expected. I would recommend this Urgent Care Center before you visit the hospital. All my visits were rapid and the pharmacy is down the block, If you are from the area. 2 thumbs up !!!!! I would rather go there than Lincoln Hospital any day, unless it was an emergency.

I enjoyed my time there at Urgent Care. The doctor is very friendly and easy going which helped with the pain I was experiencing. He even gave his opinion as to how to effectively get through all the doors that one has to go through in order to be seen at Lincoln Hospital which is within range of the urgent care facility.

I had to go in for a physical for a job and the entire staff was wonderful. Shirley was great through the drug screen process. The entire facility is also very clean which is obviously very important.

Love coming to this place, in 2017 I brought my 2 1/2 year son for a routine check when he had a cough and cold. At the visit the doctor discovered my son had a heart murmur and due to that visit I was able to discover my son have a tiny hole in his heart. I trust them and my kids are familiar with everyone that works there, staff is always nice and friendly.

Shirley Dr.Hughes & Gissel was so amazing, they welcomed me with open arms and made me feel at home. I highly recommend this location BEST team ever hands down! The only urgent care I will forever go too.

Ive brought my mother twice here and both times were horrible. Theres only one doctor on hand and of the nurses/ assistants only one or two seem to actual like their job and take their job seriously. The doctor is rushed and quick. They do bare minimums here and if anything refer me to my primary doctor- yet i still pay so whats the point if im only being referred back to my primary doctor. This feels useless.

I recently had a visit to urgent care due to me catching pink eye! The place was very clean and staff was very welcoming. I was taken care of right away. I was there no more than 25 minutes total. About three days after my visit I received a call from someone at the office to check on how I was feeling. I was like in awe because my doctors office doesn’t even do that! I would recommend this place

My first stop was city md but due to covid the line is crazy for no reason and the wait is unacceptable. i look up a urgent care and right away AFC was the next closet right away Shirley and Gisselle took care my paperwork didnt even have me waiting that long and made sure i was comfortable til Ms. Brown the on call doctor arrive. Ms. Brown was very understanding of what i came in for and provided me with a solution that was beat for me. I recommend if you need to see someone quick this urgent care is friendly understanding and welcoming they will have you in and out and feeling way better then before you came in.

Terrible experience, had us waiting 3.5 hours outside in the January cold for a covid test. Then announced that they would only see 15 patients and everyone (a line of about 35 people) would have to go home regardless of the circumstances. I do not recommend this center.

I visited urgent care on Tuesday.I had trouble breathing. The place wasnt crowded. I didnt have my newacct number. I was on edge.The wait time was a little longer than I expected.. Once inside, I was made to feel welcomed with the help of the medical asst Aurys. She listened as I told my story. She was kind and understanding. The scribe Mash sprung into action with the nebulizer and alerting the doctor about I my the seriousness of my breathing. He explained each step and medicine. He was so calm, I relaxed and felt better. He made me feel like he was concerned. Thank you.

Everyone was professional, courteous, and understanding of my somewhat goofy ailment. I was in and out in under an hour and on top of all that, I truly appreciated the bonus scrip for COVID at-home tests. I felt seen and cared for by everyone at every step of the process.

As a first timer, I honestly thought the wait would be long, well I was wrong! It was great to be seen so quickly. The staff was so welcoming.

When the place first opened up it was great. It was fast. Now we have to wait in the waiting room for over an 1 hour and 40 minutes. Then they called my son in just to do his height and weight, then put us in a closed room for over 30 minutes. Whats the point of calling us if we still have to wait in a room and not be seen?

This place is worst than an Emergency Room at a hospital , Upon arrival it was told to me by a receptionist who had no clue of anything that the wait will be 1 hour , I got in at 1.20 and it was 3.45 and still. No call to see a doctor, I asked for a supervisor and he replied there was none. I ended up leaving without being seen. There were only 3 people when I arrived and nobody was called in . I gave it 1 star because there was nothing less .

I went with a fever, difficulty breathing and a cough for 2 days(im also asthmatic). I tested neg for covid at home. They didnt bother to check my temperature, they just checked my pulse and pressure. Heart rate was abnormally high yet they discharged me with ibuprofen and acetaminophen, I asked the doc isnt that the same thing and she said no. only got an asthma pump bc i asked for it. As I was leaving i asked for my temp check & my fever was at 102+. Was told to take advil/Tylenol ^^ every 6 hrs. I called back letting them know I was supposed to get antibiotics, they refused to give it to me.claiming a respiratory infection does not require antibiotics. Im going on the 6th day with a fever and cough and now im in an emergency room. The doctor was nice but this place does not know what theyre doing. They didnt do any tests for strep, flu, or anything. I told them my fevers were in the 103 range & causing delirium, dismissed as a common cold. A simple google search would tell you a 103 fever isnt a common cold. My body is fighting a serious infection. Milking insurances is what theyre doing.

I was treated in this facility today and I must say the technician Shirley was very nice and helpful! She made me feel comfortable and I will definitely recommend being treated at this urgent care again!

This Urgent care is not urgent. Just like any other walk-in clinic. 1 hr and 36 mins to be called in for a Covid swab and 10 more mins inside.Front desk man is not welcoming and did not try to help a Spanish speaking man... how to fill out the ENGLISH FORM. A lady over hearing the conversation did.Only the lady calling people in was welcoming with a smile.

Great place to get physicals and bloodwork done

I go in there with the flu. The doctor says there is nothing he can do Ill have to suffer before I get better. Nothing for the cough or fever. I go back a few weeks later with a fever of 103 F and was prescribed ten days of amoxicillin for my teeth instead. The flu started in mid Dec and ended in Feb . My cough was so bad and so often that I pulled every muscle on my left side. I was in tears when I made it to my new primary doctor barely walking. This place has the worst doctor and better hope I dont find a lawyer. Sorry it took me a year to put up a review.

I work close to Afc on the same block, and I left work early because I wasnt feeling good. Not necessarily covid symptoms but I wanted to make sure. I waited in the waiting area for a little over 30 minutes for them to call me, and then was put in a room where I waited for about 15 minutes for the healthcare worker to come back with the swabs to swab me. After she did that, I waited for another 20 minutes for her to come back with results. As a healthcarw worker myself who previously ran a covid lab, the goal should be to get patients in and out. The more I waited in that small enclosed room with no window, I wondered how many were there before me, and if I was indeed breathing their air. That is a scary thought. Results dont take that long. I know that for a fact. They all need to be retrained.

SCAM!!!! Charged me a $75 co-pay to get an X-ray. Just to tell me what I already knew and told them; that my hand was broken. They dont even have someone who can read X-rays on site, they outsource it and you have to wait for 20 minutes to get it sent back. All to be given a disc and some papers. They gave me no meds, no splint or brace or anything at all. Just a kick in the behind and a go to the hospital. 5hrs later, the hospital wont take another facilities X-rays so they have to do their own anyway. Complete waste of $75, if you work for a living and dont just get free everything from the government, SKIP THIS BULL****!!! The only thing places like this are good for are doctors notes for missing work. They asked me when I wanted to go back! The people are nice, but COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!!!!

Very professional. Staff up front working hard to register people to be seen as quickly as they can. Was able to take covid PCR test. Rapid test not available which is ok since that test is more reliable results. Nurse or resident not sure, was very helpful explaining the procedure and how to obtain results. She took care of me and my husband and now feel less anxiety about seeing doctor during covid. East 149th location

I have been contacting the telephone number provided on the bill to inquired my bill statement. I am told that I am number one on the que only to be cut off. This has happened to me more than 8times for a period of week. This can not be the customer service that this company is claiming to provide to its customers.

The doctors and nurses are nice and they are good and fast. The fake cop they have thinking he tray songs on crack is another thing. Very disrespectful and I know it says no eating but my son is on strong meds that need to be taking with food and when I tried to give him his snack and pill he started yelling no eating and I explained that my child needed the is for his pill and he shave me a hassle. They need to replace him

It all started off so pleasant, but once I got to the back and saw the doctor (OMG). 1st of all her tone was so dismissive and judgemental. I had went there do to a condom break and she definitely showed a disapproval of my lifestyle. Then when it came time to do the exam with a speculum she was the roughest person Ive ever experienced. (That is even with the fact I told her my vagina was very sore). Then she asserted that I take HIV prep meds everyday if Im going to continue to have sex while not in a monogamous relationship. She gave me medication only addressing one symptom,then left the room when I ask could she come back she left me waiting for a half an hour until I finally I left. If you go good luck.

I was recommended by a friend a year ago and since have been very happy with their services. Front desk are friendly, doctors and assistance a very polite and respectful.They figure out right away what’s wrong and find the perfect medication to help.

Second visit at this location, the first one went well but this second time boy let me tell you. I went in with a skin itch when I went in I said to the doctor it felt like a scabies itch, he looks at my skin where I been scratching and says dust mites that’s what it looks like, so I agree after scabies is contagious and would mean everyone at home would have it as well and they don’t. He prescribed zyrtec and permethrin the assistant tells me the permethrin is for insect bites and dust mites ect. I took the zyrtec first and almost immediately all itching stopped. Today I go in for a copy of my discharge papers because of course my job wants to make sure that they sending an entire cleaning crew to clean up the right stuff and guess what the paper say ( SCABIES ) not even close to what he said which turned out to be correct then as i am getting angry because they saying they can’t correct the error cause he is not there and I need to get re-evaluated for something that is already solved the manager tells me that scabies and dust mites are the same, at this time I had to pause and look her in the eyes and ask if she was even a doctor because No the hell they not the same thing I’m going back tomorrow because I need my proof to have my office space clean but I need to file a complaint this is unacceptable I bet they will charge my insurance just to print me out a paper that says what he diagnosed to begin with.....

I am active duty military sailor station in Japan. For those who need a PCR Covid test to enter back into #Japan or #SouthKorea to execute leave or get back to the mission. I highly recommend going to urgent care on 149th street in the Bronx around third ave and the Lincoln Hospital.Everyone is highly professional and tend to the patients with excellent service. I want to give a shout out to Mrs. Shirley for helping expedite the process of having me tested. The results come back 24 hours.

I had a Tremendous ear ache on my right side. I was seen by Mr. Mosh & Dr.Blackwood very helpful. I came in with an ear ache came out brand new. I was told i had a fungal infection and Dr.Blackwood flushed out everything that was in my ear canal. Both Mosh & Blackwood were very nice. However the Only issue was the 3 hour wait but other then that the job was done.

I would like everyone to know that this medical center is excellent with their care and the radiologist whom name is shirley is very, very good. Everyone there i mean the staff, doctor and the radiologist whose name os shirley is very good.Instead of going to the Emergency room at the hospital go to AFC Urgent Care that is located on E. 149th st and Courtlandt ave the bronx. Once you go and see for yourself you are going to be amazed about their service.I just wish that they had an MRI machine i There so that i can really come to them often instead of going to the hospital.Please everyone go there take yourself, your friends and family members. You will love it like i did. Yes, i just keep going back whenever I have any kind of pain in my body.

I woke up this morning with upper body aches and I went to this location. I got there at 2pm for a covid exam and the line was long and they closed and I understand that. I begged the guy to let me on the line and he said that it it’s before 5pm and they let the last person he will let me in. I waited from 2pm and when it was my turn to to go in at 5:06 pm he would not let me in. I waited from 2pm and because i was afraid that I would have covid and then I could give to my wife i a caretaker for her elderly mother. I left there with knowledge if I have covid. The guy that was working there. Is definitely a Scrooge or Grinche, for it only being 6 minutes past 5pm. We are in a pandemic!!!

The staff is amazing, the facility is super clean and modern, and the X-ray technician Ms. Shirley went out of her way to make me laugh and put me at ease. Its a great place

Maria is the best she moves so quickly and made me feel so comfortable during my visit .. definitely coming back for all my medical needs .. and the doctor showed he really cared and wasn’t just in it for his check . I went in with flu like symptoms, I was seen with 30 minutes. The place was cleaned, the staff was friendly. I paid my Co payment but was not able to get my prescription and my doctors note from them, which they promised I was going to received through my email within an hour. It been over 6 hours, since i lefted the center. if I have the flu and I really needed the temiflu I could in a worst condition then before. Ive called the number listed and its a prerecorded with a chance to be called back on a business day. Will I go back to this center or recommend it to my family, friends or anyone needing a afc center, NO way. Day 2- 24 hours later and all the calls and running around, trying to find a pharmacy that carries!the meds, I finally found Rite Aid that carries it. Meanwhile theyre being apologetic, you wasnt thinking about my life changes without this medication. I could never forget this experience. No one should of dealt the agony that I went through.

Every one there was VERY kind to me IDidn’t have to wait long hopefully I don’t have to go back who wants to be sick😂but If I do I would definitely go back to 149!!!!!

The employees are not attentive when it comes to their patients. I was left waiting in a room for two hours just to be told “ We didn’t know you were in the room” . It’s unprofessional to say the least.

They treated me very well and helped me get my medication. Very good service. Shirley gave me a courtesy call that I am very thankful for.

The staff was very friendly and so was the physician. She seemed very knowledgeable and helpful. My only complaint is, they appear to be short staffed. After my vitals were taken, they left me waiting in the examination for about 20 mins. I thought they forgot about me.

The staff is very nice and tolerable. Place is clean and they have fast service. I was helped by Dr. Brown, Emoni, Mavis and Shirley. I will recommend this place to everyone.
