Montefiore Medical Park at Eastchester

Absolutely horrible experience. Waited for this appointment to come to see Doctor traveled all the way from New Jersey and was told the Dr is not coming in and they tried calling me after 8am the day of appt. This is a big Hospital and I should of been seen because I did mention that I was in alot of pain and that trying to notify me after 8 was insufficent. No one cared. I Was told another location had appt then that was gone. Never would I come back to this location. Also, dirty seats in the waiting area and tissue left from other people.

Once I received a positive pregnancy test I called to schedule an appointment with an OBGYN. Even after the receptionist asking me “when was my first day of my last menstrual”, she still managed to scheduled me to early for the doctors to confirm my pregnancy which forced me to have to reschedule my appointment. The early pregnancy division doctor stated during my wait time for my next appointment if I had any concerns regarding my pregnancy to call and request to speak to a nurse. Eventually I did end up having some concerns and was told by the front desk that a nurse couldn’t return my call because I wasn’t a patient of theirs eventhough I was scheduled for a follow up appointment and actually seen a doctor prior to my upcoming visit. During my second visit the doctor was able to confirm my pregnancy as well as my due date. For my next appointment with an actual OBGYN “Dr. Sravanthi Gutta”, requested a nurse in the early pregnancy division department call me the day before my appointment to tell me my appointment had to be canceled because they never confirmed I was pregnant. Well come to find out Dr.Gutta was wrong and didn’t read all the notes in my chart before having the nurses call me trying to cancel my appointment. After noticing the OBGYN Dr.Gutta’s mistake they told me to still come in for my appointment. Hours goes by after calling me 8am with incorrect information. I received another call later in the afternoon stating Dr.Gutta is now calling out sick for the day of my appointment and it has to be reschedule. I feel this OBGYN doctor is very unprofessional as well as unreliable. Instead of trying to find fault in her fellow colleagues as well as in my paperwork without reading all the notes in my chart thoroughly she should’ve called out sick from the beginning instead of having the nurses call me with incorrect information stating my baby heartbeat wasn’t detected knowing I’m going on three months pregnant which can be very traumatizing for any expecting mother.

Never answer the phone or call you back. Been waiting for months to get a GYN apt and was told months ago I’m on a wait list. They only take you quickly if you’re pregnant. I told them I was having pain and no calls back or emails. I’m disappointed because I’ve been coming here for years.

Worse facility to go to for prenatal care, the staff is slow, the doctors are slow. I sat for two hours waiting to be seen for every visit. As a pregnant woman I don’t think it’s reasonable to have me sit for two hours just to have a brief 10 minute interaction with an OBGYN. I had to change my OBGYN six months pregnant just to avoid waiting that long ever again. There is no reason why I should be early to my appointment and still have to wait two hours to be seen.

0 STARS!Their front desk/admin team is horrible. You can never get through on the phones. And they have an online system where you can ask questions or schedule appointment. What a pointless system! I am 8 months pregnant and have not seen my doctor is over 4 months because I cant get a hold of anyone to schedule an appointment.Cant say much about the doctors since I only ever had one doctor visit.

I agree the staff can be rude, I had the pleasure of an employee named Johanna Delgado, who was very helpful her altruistic attitude is amazing. She should be an example for all employees present and future employees. She should be training others how to respect and help you out, not cancelling patients and making you sicker. I would have given only a 1Thanks again Ms Delgado

I am so thankful to the hard working Healthcare professionals here. I was here for infusions and the infusion wing was incredibly kind and efficient for 5 days. Rosa & Georgia, thank you for making my difficult time comfortable and for being respectful and informative to all of my 100 questions. Betty you are amazing and personalized and thank you for your help!

Front desk workers are terrible at this location. Waiting time is terrible. They don’t even communicate properly with patients. They make you wait hours after hours. It makes the patients even sicker. Avoid this location!!!! For the sake of your patient!!! These people are horrible and disrespectful!!! Specially the man with bald head in 2nd floor is terrible!! Have no words for him, worst one to ask for help!!! Ugh!! May God guide these kinda people!!!

Do not send your family to this hospital. My grandmother was waiting in the hallway with no room for 3 days. The nurses do not provide proper care or attention, they all have attitudes, they were inhospitable and uninviting. Finally after providing inadequate care my grandmother ended up in ICU, after 3 days of waiting for a bed in the hallway. Youre better off going to Mount Sinai. We would have switch hospitals but once admitted your insurance must sign an agreement that they will cover all services that were not yet rendered in order for them to release you.

I wish I can give 0 star but the tu don’t have that option so I gave 1 star I had an appointment to the Dr.Sima-Baalbaki MD OB-GYN I made the appointment through Zocdoc however when I want for my appointment they told me that my name wasn’t in the system basically I didn’t have appointment because they don’t make appointments through Zocdoc And the secretary called to cancel the appointments through this app definitely BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE if a person is there why they don’t try to accommodate to see the doctor that was not my fault my name was not in the sistem and nobody called me to cancel this appointment so I waste my time to go and not see the doctor. So I make another appointment for December 1 and yesterday (11-18-2020)they called me, I’m glad that this time they called me but they called me to cancel the appointment because for now they are just checking prenatal So if I want to see the doctor I need to go in a waiting list that maybe is going to be next year!!! they don’t care about us I understand that we are in a pandemic and priority is prenatal but what about us I have a little ball on my breast and I’m concerned about, that’s your main reason I was trying to make the appointment to see the doctor but I guess they don’t care they give a S**** Definitely I need to find another doctor.

OBGYN department employe in the front are so rude and always busy with their phones they don’t even care to understand what people are saying transfer the phone wherever they want and hang up without finishing conversation. I would never recommend anyone to this place. Because they are very unprofessional for this type of job.

Please, please, please, train your staff on how to speak professionally. Regardless of the reputation the Bronx has, if you hire people from the Bronx, make sure they are educated, and who can PROPERLY speak in English. Preferably someone who doesn’t sound like they have an attitude for having to do their job and...Knows information. How can you work at a medical facility and not know of clinics in your surrounding area????!!!!!!!!! How do you not know of other Montefiore clinics a person can go to for immediate help. If someone is explaining to you the issue, how can you not have a solution in mind?!?!?!???? One of the important traits to have when working behind that desk answering phone calls is to know how to problem solve. Not have an attitude because someone is asking for help. THATS WHAT YOURE THERE FOR!!!!!!!!!!! If you don’t know, please, admit it and try to find someone who can help.Seriously, you guys need to take a moment and evaluate the people you have representing your clinics, offices and hospital.Beyond unprofessional.

Terrible service experiences !!!!! Doctors are not cordial all times; Nurses are irresponsible...... because of sending wrong amount of medication we had to buy over $2000 medication ; And billing department ???? Terrible !!!! You have to keep your eyes all the time because they are imposing so many hidden charges even after 6 months !! When you call to customer service they are too busy to receive your call even more than an hour. Stay away from Montefiore

Went and took a patient to the infusion clinic . The receptionist staff are always frowning and when we were waiting for the ambulette a white woman staff with short gray hair kicked us out and was very rude about waiting in lobby for our ride . Said they were closing but just so nasty about it and could of said it more politely.

Honestly they dont care about your pregnancy and how youre or your babys doing. My best advice, try looking for another OB/GYN

I was just woundering if your Insurance Got shut off and you have six days left of your pregnancy would they still take u in the labor floor ?

This rating is based solely on the doctor and her immediate staff. Front desk staff is rude and when calling about a question they weren’t helpful at all.

They have no bedside manner ,treat patients like a number,they ignore your needs. They dont explain procedures to you.
