Very happy I became a patient of Dr. Stepanian’s. She cares so much for her patients and treats them as individuals. She spends a lot of time with me during my appointments. It’s easy to get in with a nurse if you need quick testing. Her team is incredible!

Dr stepania is nice and very thorough and her office feels very luxurious BUT this place rly tries to milk money out of you for every little thing. Came here for an annual which for is usually all covered apart from copay. First you have to pay for parking here which I’ve never had to do for a doctor. Then I mentioned a minor issue and suddenly I’m getting an ultrasound, a blood test, and even a FaceTime with the doctor to go over the results- all of which I had to pay for unknowingly. All the results came back normal which is good but my issue still persisted and I paid so much more than I expected. Had such trouble with their billing department as well.

Dr. Stepanian is a highly skilled doctor and surgeon and is very knowledgeable about rare disorders. She is very kind and took great care with my procedure. Pre and post operative appointments were always handled with patience by the doctor and her staff. Dr. Stepanian answered all my questions and provided excellent care. I felt such a relief to find someone who had the skills and many years of experience to treat a complicated condition. Regina and the nursing staff are very kind, patient, highly skilled, and genuinely care for you as a patient.

Regina is a friendliest and most helpful receptionist I ever spoke to. Im sure its a reflection of the general atmosphere at this center. Thank you, Regina! It was a pleasure talking to you!PS: I read some reviews. One review in 2017 was a complaint that Dr Stepanian refused to do the Essure procedure, which was the reviewer preference. A year later Essure was recalled and Bayer agreed to a $1.6 billion settlement because women have suffered severe injuries after using the product.Sometimes its worth trusting your doctor. Not always )). But this is a curious example how somebody is complaining about something that literally spared her from suffering.

Dr. Stephanian, is like no other doctor I have met. She provided us with our first glimpse of hope in this fertility journey. She was so encouraging and supportive. I still find myself telling people about her warm hugs, the heart cut-outs and transparency. It is my pleasure to recommend her and her team to you 🙂

I have been to over 70 doctors for prior autoimmune issues, and several different OBGYN’s. No matter how many times I went into an OBGYN’s office saying I didn’t want birth control I always walked out with it until coming here. Dr. Stepanian spent time to refer me to several other doctors to rule out options, suggested vitamins, and spent time with me each visit. Eventually I had laparoscopy surgery for endometriosis which has been extremely successful. My recovery has been amazing and Dr. Stepanian was available for me to reach out to all throughout the way which I had never had before. She even called me to check in on my decision before having surgery! I have never had a doctor this good-caring, takes time with me, is available, and is exceptionally knowledgeable. Her staff is also so friendly. There have been times I have had to wait to be seen, but I think it makes sense because she spends so much time with each person.

Dr. Stepanian is extremely knowledgeable and takes her time to listen to you. She is friendly and professional. Everyone at the office especially the receptionist is very friendly and professional and went above and beyond. I received excellent care here.

My experience with Dr. Stepanian and staff was exceptional from the start of my appointment with Nurse Alice who was personable and thorough with taking my vitals and history. Then Dr Stepanian exceeded expectations. Such a lovely woman who obviously cares a lot about her patients and has a vast depth of knowledge beyond the usual conventional treatments available. One would hope patient care would evolve so more doctors would be willing to step outside the traditional treatment box. And her best therapy of all - a hug to greet and say goodbye. Heart to heart. What could be more healing than that?

Gynecology is a very sensitive and vulnerable field of medicine, and I personally feel that Dr. Stephanians office is one of the best in the field!The office itself is absolutely stunning and pristinely clean. Ive never walked into the lobby, triage, restroom, or exam room and seen even a speck of dust! If theres any disorganization in this office, its very well hidden.The administrative staff is the most friendly and welcoming staff Ive ever met - and Im a medical administrator for a doctor who office shares with doctors of all kinds! Every time I walk in the door to the office I feel like Im visiting with friends rather than coming in for a doctors visit.Ive only ever worked with one nurse for the year and a half Ive been a patient, but I absolutely adore her! Shes sweet, gentle, and humorous and makes the anxiety of an everyday visit melt away all while being completely professional! A medical technician (I believe she was) drew my blood at my last visit just last week and she was just as friendly, gentle, and welcoming as the nurse. She makes lovely conversation if you have the time to have one, and shes amazing at drawing blood, too!Dr. Stephanian herself is a fantastically comforting person. She is the embodiment of her entire office! Shes gentle and soft spoken but also educational and professional. My last visit was for a clinical concern and, despite being worked in to her busy schedule, I had hardly any wait and the doctor still didnt rush my visit at all! She checked every avenue and possibility and offered me blood work performed the same day in her office for further comfort. I left her office feeling much more confident and sure of myself than I had been when I scheduled the appointment.Overall, I highly recommend Academia of Womens Health to any woman!

After my long-time gynecologist retired, I was referred to Dr. Stepanian by Northside Hospital. I was a bit nervous when I first saw her three years ago, but she immediately put me at ease and answered all my questions. I have found her and her staff to be warm and considerate, always going the extra mile to provide me with the best patient care. And her offices are beautiful, comfortable, and calming, which is an added plus!

Dr. Stepanian matches her outstanding knowledge of womens health and surgical skills with kindness, patience and love.. These are a rare combination in physicians today. Her staff follows her model. If I could give more stars I would! Dr. Stepanian saved my life! I have had womb issues for years and she was very knowledgeable in knowing EXACTLY what my body needed to help finally heal what has been going on inside of me. Not only did I need a Doctor who knew how to treat my issues, but I needed a doctor who is caring. I dont think I will find a doctor who is as loving, sweet, and caring as Dr. Stepanian and her staff! I truly owe this doctors office my life and I highly recommend any woman to go see this doctor. She actually cares about what is happening in the female body and will recommend things that most doctors would never mention but it will save your life! 20+ stars to the Academia of Womens Health & Endoscopic Surgery!!!

Where do I begin......Dr. Stepanian and her staff are truly amazing. If you want to feel compassion, and serenity from a doctor, this is the place. I have been a patient for over 2 years and so very thankful my chiropractor Dr. Farbman referred me to her. From my very first visit till years later, every visit I am always welcomed with a bright smile and easy. I honestly do not feel like I am having a gynecological appointment. Dr. Stepanian and her staff know how to make you feel comfortable and confident. The expertise that comes from Dr. Stepanian is unbelievable. I now know why she is the best in her industry and why I would refer everyone to Academia Womens Health.

I recently went in to Dr. Stepanian for my first ever visit to a gynecologist. She was able to find a cyst in me that required surgical removal because of it’s size. She was so kind and helpful in the entirety of this process and answered any & all of my questions. Having not ever walked through something like this before, it was all very overwhelming to me but I felt safe in her care. She performed the laparoscopic surgery and it all went very smoothly. I have told all my friends about Dr.Stepanian and would recommend her to anyone. She is the best and I am so thankful!

Dr. Stephanian, is such a caring & nurturing Dr. Many places treat you like a number, they do the minimum for exams & identifying issues, to keep you coming back. Dr Stephanian performed an ultrasound on my first visit for my annual pap to be sure to catch everything. She also made sure a surgery I had was painless & easy. Im very satisfied with her services.

This doctor and office are by far my favorite obgyn team that Ive ever had. They are personable and make me feel like family. Dr. Stepanian is not just extremely smart and knows her stuff but she is caring x 100%! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants and need answers by a doctor and staff who are willing to do what it takes.

It was clear to me at my first meeting with Dr. Assia Stepanian that she was a caring and compassionate person and Doctor. I went to her for a second opinion after surgery, she was reassuring and informative. Her office staff is very friendly, it is apparent they like working with and for Dr. Stepanian, that usually speaks volumes.I have chosen to be a patient of Dr. Stepanian and will recommend her to my friends.

The office was very welcoming and clean, and the appointment was easy to schedule. Dr. Stepanian seemed very efficient with completing the annual women well-check, and she seems a kind enough woman. That being said, her personal values and opinions greatly clouded her professionalism. I wanted to discuss the Essure procedure I was interested in having done with her, and she came into the room saying, no. It was a very one-sided conversation; and it appeared to be led by sexist and ageist beliefs. My right to self-determination was not even considered for a moment. I am 26 years old, and I am an educated and competent adult. I had actually discussed what I wanted for years with my previous gynecologist (I had to change due to a new insurance that came with my new job), had done my research, and was more than aware of my other options. I didnt feel I should have to explain why I dont want children any more than a woman has to explain wanting them. She seems like a great doctor and her website attracted me to her; however, she is not the one to go to when you need someone open-minded.

Dr. Stepanian was extremely caring and offered as much help and information to me as she possibly could. I am very thankful to have found her as my doctor and would absolutely recommend. If you are worried about procedures not being covered by your insurance - just ask.

I have been seeing Dr. Assia Stepanian, MD, FACOG and am very pleased. I love a doctor who is not afraid to explain and educate you based off their experience and research. I am a medical professional and understand that a doctor like her is a rare find! The office is clean every time you come in unlike many others I have been to since my teen years. She takes advantage of continuing education, which many doctors are not up to date on things and will stick to the same way of doing things. You do not want a doctor like that.I love how she allows me to explain my issues and will spend so much time in the room with you...no rushing! I love how she looks at not only medicine but is open to natural ways to treat her patients.THANK YOU!!!

I decided to see Dr. Stepanian after a failed endometriosis surgery and after being completely dismissed by my (male) OB-GYN. The reviews I had read about her said she was kind, gentle, and extremely capable. It was a long drive from my town to Atlanta, but I was desperate. Dr. Stepanian has been invaluable to me as a woman, and now, as a mother.My stage IV endometriosis was crippling, and I was not having success conceiving. Women are already in a vulnerable position at the gynecologists office, but I was also struggling with pain, exhaustion, and severe grief. I could immediately tell that I was in a safe and caring environment. Her gentle voice, kind smile, great big hugs, and even the small things like making sure all the equipment she uses is warm - all of those things put me at ease. Her surgical skills are beyond comparison. After one surgery with her, I was able to conceive, and now I have a beautiful two-year old son. I could not have done this without her help. I cannot recommend her enough.

Dr. Stepanian is a caring doctor who went over and beyond the call of duty to make sure I received the best treatment and care. She is physician with great bedside manners who gives genuine attention to each of her patients.

This was, by far the worst experience at the doctor office. This is not a doctor’s but a business woman. Her approach is to make as much money as she can on the visit. I came in for a regular check up. I heard about Dr. Stephanyan from a friend and had a minor concern about age relating changes. She did not help me at all! She performed ultrasound on me, i clearly were not pregnant. All I got from it was a comment that I have “ beautiful organs” with $250 bill not covered by insurance. She also took my blood for hormonal evaluation which left me with $75 charge for her phone call to communicate to me that I should see my regular doctor for any concerns. I then got two more bills after that by mail another $325. I called to check with the billing person to ask why my insurance doesn’t cover this bill. I was told that she’s going to ask the doctor and called me right back, but never did. Yesterday I got another bill for $175(6 month later). Please, don’t fall for this trap, this “Academia of woman’s health” is just a business and a money pit.

Was a patient here years ago and had called today to get a recommendation on an IVF specialist for a friend, since Dr. Assia does not do IVF but seemed like a knowledgeable Dr who specializes in modern OBGYN procedures at the time. Front desk advised that because I am no longer a patient they can not give a recommendation to a good IVF doctor unless I come in and pay for the recommendation. Absolutely absurd. Called several OBGYN offices prior to Dr Assia’s and had no one tell me I need to come in and pay for a recommendation. The kind of patient -Dr relationship I look for is the one where I can call years later and still get a recommendation. Not the kind that wants to charge me appointment cost JUST to get a recommendation on a different specialist.

This is an email I sent this morning. I will not be returning.I have been a patient of yours for about two years. I have struggled with this decision because I was not sure if I was being too sensitive but after careful thought, I have determined Im not. On multiple occasions Dr. Stepanian has pressured me about my decision to have children but not right now. To have some context, none of the times during my visit was I in a stable relationship nor in a financial position to have children but I was advised to not pass up the opportunity should it come up. I am currently 28 years old with very little reason to have to have children right now. Yes, I want children but Dr. Stepanian should not push her personal views of having a family and when that is appropriate on anyone. I have left that office more than once feeling guilted and pressured. No one should be made feel that way, especially when they do in fact want children but it is not the right time. In addition to those conversations making me very uncomfortable, when I requested a full STD screen, I was told I did not need it because I was previously in a monogamous relationship. I dont think I need to go into detail of why this is so wrong. I insisted on the full screen and after being met with protest was finally given my screen. The last reason I will not be back is that when I answered the questionnaire screening for depression and answered positively to more than one question on my last visit, Dr. Stepanian angrily came into my room loudly saying that I was NOT a depressed patient obviously upset at the questions they use. She pointed at me and said, this is not a depressed person. Im sorry but if were going by physical appearance alone, and not taking everyone seriously with signs of depression you are ASKING for increased suicide rates. She was determined to prove I was not depressed. This is unacceptable behavior. I will not be returning to your practice as a patient and wanted you to be aware of these issues so that they may be addressed in the future. No, I did not say anything while in my appointment. Why? Because when you are a naked woman asking for help and being met with that kind of behavior, you really dont know what to say. I have learned through years of misdiagnosis and poor medical practices, however, that you have to advocate for yourself or no one else will. Consider this notification that I will be seeking care elsewhere.

I cant thank enough my physician doctor, who insisted me to go to Academia of Womens Health & Endoscopic Surgery and get second opinion from Dr. Assia Stepanian since I suffered a pain in my pelvis and could not get answers for a long time. With a big attention to details of my medical history and symptom development, including all the testing done, at the time of my appointments, to get to the answers to my abnormal pain; in a matter of the month I got all answers and the cure for my multiple problems I apparently have. Dr. Stepanian always has and follows the plan to get wanted results.I felt relieved after my first appointment, since I knew, I am in a good hands of a Doctor, who lets you to feel that you are not only her patient, she cares the most, but a friend as well. This applies to all staff of this office, so warm, so thoughtful, attentive, caring, friendly, professional and efficient. The premises of the office has contemporary design, brand new furnishings and the newest technology is being used; always playing calming background music helps you to relax at all time you are there.For the last... is the HUG. You are welcomed with the hug and you get one for goodbye. It just confirms that you are special to this place and the people, who really takes care of you.

I like this clinic very much. Dr. Stepanian is the best. The staff is always nice and caring. They are very responsive, easy to reach over the phone. They answer all my questions. I feel myself in good hands with them.

I am very disappointed with my visit. The appointment started 40 minutes late, I was told that my personal preference on childbearing was wrong because I am too young. I was told that I would have to follow a diet plan, and was told I was not allowed to argue. I will never go back. I would give them 0 stars if that was an option.

Dr. Asya StepanIan is a high-professional specialist, which generously share her knowledge and soul warmth with her patients.

Scheduled an appointment then was called by them to see if I could reschedule, which I did. Drove all the way there and was told that the doctor could not see me hope you didnt drive far. I even had to ask for parking reimbursement and no question about rescheduling. Appears that they did not want new clients?

Everyone was kind, patient, caring and knowledgeable.

So happy with this caring Doctor.
