Brianna Schumacher, M.D. SGF Chesterbrook

Dr. Schumacher is nothing short of an absolute miracle worker with the bedside manner of an angel. It was a privilege working with her from 2019-2023 to have our two donor embryo babies. Im still in awe that we have these two amazing miracles. When complications popped up, she was always on top of finding a solution, working with her fellow doctors, and thinking outside the box too. We are so fortunate and thankful to have worked with her!

Dr Schumacher is very thorough, to the point and an amazing doctor. She took a stressful situation and made a seamless smooth outcome for my husband and I. We are very grateful for the whole shady grove team, from my nurse Kara, the financial coordinator Danielle and the APPs London and Sarah… nothing could have been better and no one could have been nicer or more supportive.

Dr. Schumacher is the absolute best! We started our journey with shady grove in March of 2022 not knowing what to expect. We were met with pretty devastating news our first couple of visits but Dr Schumacher had a plan for us. I had a surgery in august 2021 and had to wait 6 months before implementing an embryo. We transferred 3 days before Christmas on 12/22/22 and it was our lucky day! Our little guy stuck and I carried him to 37 weeks when I had a planned c section. Shady grove and Dr Schumacher made this possible and the most pleasant experience I could have asked for. She along with her nurses were always there to answer my questions and address my concerns. We have a beauty healthy baby boy thanks to her!! We HIGHLY recommend her. If we end up needed fertility treatments again we wouldn’t see anyone but Dr. Schumacher and the shady grove team in Chesterbrook!Thanks again for giving us gods greatest gift! We are forever grateful.

I absolutely loved working with Dr. Schumacher. Graduating from Shady Grove was bittersweet because I would love to have someone like her with me for the entirety of my pregnancy. She is extremely intelligent and caring. She gave very clear information and instructions that her team followed through with. Although I worked mostly with her team of nurses (who were equally wonderful), Dr. Schumacher was always available when I wanted to speak to her personally. She listened to me cry and made me feel validated and heard in a number of concerns I had throughout the process. I was very intimidated before starting IVF, but Dr. Schumacher and her team made me feel very much at ease at each step. I feel so so so lucky and grateful to have worked with her (regardless of my positive outcome) and would encourage anyone considering IVF (or even just a consult) to reach out to her.

Dr. Schumacher is the best! She treated me through a total of 6 IUI cycles (unexplained infertility) which resulted in 2 singleton pregnancies in 2020 and 2023. She is a great communicator who always took time to explain my treatment options and plans. She never made me or my husband feel rushed and always answered all of our questions. I did not see her every visit, but I knew she was working closely with the nurses and reviewing things behind the scenes. She made sure that I knew she was available if I needed to meet or speak to her directly. She alway made me feel like she personally cared about the success of my treatments and had warm/personable bedside manner. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking treatment.

We came to Dr. Schumacher and Shady Grove after 3 years of struggling to conceive and working with multiple other programs and doctors. Dr. Schumacher has treated us with nothing but compassion, while making sure we understood every aspect of every treatment option. She also has the best bedside manner of any doctor we have worked with through this process. After two more years we are finally expecting our first baby via IVF and Dr. Schumacher + the Shady Gove PA team. She goes above and beyond to make sure we are heard and not just a number, she checks in with us and calls us personally, most of all, she is kind and understanding and allowed us to decide our timelines and choose which treatment to do and when. I would also like to add that everyone from the moment you walk into the door, to the lab, to the nursing staff, the other doctors, etc. were really great to work with, they even got to know me personally as a frequent flyer. We wouldnt be here today without her, we will be back for future babies! We love Dr. Schumacher!

Going through Fertility issues is not a pleasant experience. The expectation, the waiting, the disappointment can be very heavy. At Shady Grove, from just the first appointment, they are fast in responding, making you feel comfortable, providing a no pressure attitude, as well as an in-depth information/discussion to get you on the path that you need. They provide you hope and a feeling like they will do everything in their power to get you were you need to be. Knowing that Dr. Schumacher has the experience, the education, the strategy, all wrapped with organization and a support system... allows a freeing feeling as you embark upon this emotional journey.

I believe that extraordinary success in life is often the result of moments of extraordinary luck. I’ve had exactly four extremely lucky moments that have shaped my life and two of those moments happened with Shady Grove Fertility. These moments were:Lucky Moment #1: Being assigned to Dr. Brianna Schumacher when I scheduled our first consultation. I don’t know how this happened, because I’m sure she is in extremely high demand, but somehow the stars aligned, and I got lucky. Dr. Schumacher is so many things that I am grateful for. She’s kind, which is something that makes a huge difference when, as a person with infertility issues, you feel like fate is being unkind to you. She’s relatable - never comes across as distanced, and she makes you feel like you have a guardian angel. She’s straightforward - and as a person that compulsively plans for disappointment, that’s a huge relief, because I don’t need to rely on 15 different Googled possible outcomes because my doctor is too vague. She is available, even if it means not having time to eat all day. She doesn’t minimize or brush off your concerns, but rather explains why they are probably not necessary. I am in my 13th week of pregnancy now, and I am honestly missing going to SGF. At week 7 I had a subchorionic hemorrhage, and Dr. Schumacher was the only reason I didn’t give up hope. Let’s not forget, as well, that my very first implant took, thanks to Dr. Schumacher’s superior transfer skills.Lucky Moment #2: Being assigned to Debra Dancer as my primary nurse. First of all, the dent in my wallet would be much much bigger today if it wasn’t for Debbie. She navigated me through an endless obstacle course of insurance vs. out-of-pocket expenses on medicine, helping me optimize my spend to the cent. Secondly, although I know there are standard protocols that usually work for people, that was never the case for me. It seemed like my body just wanted to throw twists and turns into this fun adventure, but Debbie always had a plan B. I know the dosages that worked for me were not standard protocol and had to be carefully calculated. Biggest thing to mention here: I experienced NO SIDE EFFECTS from anything (except the HCG shot), so the plan that Debbie created for me, as custom and agile as it had to be, was exactly right for me. Debbie was also very straightforward and never left me “guessing and stressing”, which made the whole process manageable and predictable for me.In closing: These two ladies, and everyone else at SGF that have an uncanny talent to start your day off on a positive note (tip: make your appointments for early in the day to leverage this to full effect) had a huge impact on my life and my success.
