Planned Parenthood - Peoria Health Center

I love Planned Parenthood! 💙🩺 This location was my first experience visiting Planned Parenthood, and I left with no complaints. The staff made me feel welcome, seen, and comfortable. They were very respectful of privacy and shared lots of helpful and inclusive information. Monica was incredible, as well as Nurse Practitioner Bailee Bronson. I highly recommend visiting Planned Parenthood to stay on top of your sexual and reproductive health. They truly embody Care. No matter what. I cant wait to go back 🫶🏻

I had a wonderful experience here getting an IUD yesterday. It was easy to schedule and I got in for an appointment within a couple of days. The front desk staff were so sweet, the nurses were so sweet and the nurse practitioners were both kind and informative. My experience here yesterday was so different in the best way than any experience I’ve had receiving care for my reproductive health. They were non-judgemental, informative and compassionate. I definitely would recommend.

They dont tell you the correct information. Depending who answers the phone, I was told three different things, we thought we had everything covered only to be turned away because they didnt have a doctor that took our insurance. I wouldve thought that would be something they would check before having people come in. They say that anyone 14 or older can come without a parent, my daughter (whos 16) went in for birth control and was told she had to have a parent or guardian with her.Then when we rescheduled, they said she needed a photo ID, when we were never told she needed to have an ID. It felt like they just didnt care.

Monica was so freaking fantastic. She helped me with getting my appointment and she did my blood work and I didnt feel a thing and I have a major fear of needles. She was so amazing. Thanks so much 😁

The only reason I gave this place a second star is bc they have dr Bailee Bronson and she is great. She made me feel comfortable and saved the day after the nurse was extremely rude and unprofessional. The nurse wasn’t clear about any questions she asked (just scanned through to get them over with), then acted like I did something wrong when she didn’t have all the information. She repeatedly cut me off while I was trying to explain what was going on which resulted in even more misunderstanding. She left the room so I could get undressed for my exam and a couple minutes later she barges in without knocking with the door wide open while I’m on the table almost fully exposed. She told me to put my shirt back on bc I just got a breast exam done. She again acted like I was in the wrong when I just told her specifically that I had my breast exam done a couple weeks prior. She asked me why I would try to schedule an appt with them instead of waiting for my obgyn appt a MONTH away. I was desperate for help and they had a next day appt. The way she said it was as if I wasn’t welcome there for help while I had already been in pain and vomiting for 2 months. I hated every minute and was ready to leave before the dr came in.

Got my birth control implant here a few months back. my only complaint is that one of the girls upfront blatantly misgendered and used my deadname when checking me out. everyone else was super nice and understanding. they explained the side effects, procedure, risks, and aftercare wonderfully. they made sure that this was my choice and that i was in a safe environment.

Got repeatedly misgendered immediately after being asked how I identify/what my pronouns are. Took 2 hours to be seen. I spent all of my money on a double copay because their computer never processed the first, despite my banking records reflecting that I paid. Ended up being seen by presumably a student nurse who was unable to answer any questions I had. When the student asked if they had addressed the issue I came in for, I said yes to get as far away from there as possible, but not ONCE was the issue I actually was concerned about addressed. I felt like a problem the entire visit, and now Im currently devastated as I cannot afford medical care!

Every year I have issues getting my birth control appointments through other organizations. Planned Parenthood has always been the most convenient (aside from location) in timing and price. They are there to help the community, and I always appreciate them for services. Please consider supporting them!

They are very terrible and do not take accountability for how they treat their guest each time I’ve had an appointment there was always something either i was waiting 20m to a hour or the employees are just flat out rude like today i had a appointment at 2 i got there at 1:48 and was waiting 20-30 min and still didn’t get seen by anyone instead i see two ppl that had came in 5 mins after me and they got seen way quicker . i had to basically reschedule my appointment and it sucks because i stay super far. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m black or if i because i have sooner care i spoke with the manager all she did was excuse her employee’s behavior and try to gaslight me this is my third time having a terrible experience there and it sucks i can’t do anything about it

My experience at Planned Parenthood has been nothing but incredible. The facility is beautiful, organized, and clean. The ladies who work here are patient, kind, and care about everyone who walks in. Entirely judgment free, no matter your gender, race, religion, or reason.Their funding is also incredible; if you are unable to have your insurance cover something - try asking what type of funding they have or about their budgeting / sliding scale.They WANT to help you.I am literally writing this review while I am in the examination room because it could not wait. I am so incredibly pleased to be at this establishment.Choose to be proactive with your health and take charge of your body when you are able. And if you need a little help, this is the safest place you can go. I can’t thank them enough.

First clinic Ive been able to find that could provide hrt without unrealistic barriers to entry! Highly recommend. Im very skeptical of the low reviews of this clinic.

I go to my appointment and I get there and the security guy was unkind to me and hes like youre not on the list and I showed him I had an appointment and he was said whatever Im just gonna let them deal with it. He proceeds to let me in and I go to the front desk and I tell them I have an appointment and they say we tried to call you and our technician is out so youre gonna have to reschedule. This was after they already sent me text reminders at 7 am. I drove from an hour away and missed work in order to go to this appointment to only get turned away. I was then told that I could go to Edmond or okc. Very disappointing :( I wish there had been better communication.

I have had the worst time with basic anything. Oklahoma planned parenthood does NOT work on sliding scale, everything is very expensive. They don’t answer their phone ever, and when they do I’m supposed to get a call back. My phone never rings, I just get voicemails. I try to call back, I sit on hold for at least an hour for them to tell me “I will have someone call you back as soon as possible” so I can get another voicemail? I am so done with this place.

The experience i have received here today is the best care ive ever received in any kind of health facility that ive had. The staff is sanitary, helpful and made this easier for this procedure. I immediately felt at much at ease that u could possibly feel with this situation. Every question i asked they expressed they answered with care every step of the way there was genuine care in every single staff member here this is a very emotional experience for any women and they handled every second with every step of the way

The treatment I received was absolutely abhorrent, and showed an inability to cater to disability. If you have difficulty with communication, this place should be avoided. The flippant attitudes of the nurses and care team is the direct result of their ego. As a result, they have caused harm to a human being. They should be ashamed. I hope that they have learned from this, but I fear that they have not.

You get what you pay for, keep receipts when you pay because theirs a good chance they will mess up billing and even if you pay youll get a bill either from the lab they use or planned parenthood its self, also trying to contact billing is a nightmare since more often then not youll just get hung up on by the bot they use since theirs no one available all times of the day and it just hangs up on you, they used to have a queue system but thats no more since covid. im just gonna wait till i get a debt collector calling and show them the receipts at this point

Very mean staff to say the least. No respect for appointment times.. can check in anytime irrespective of what time the appointment is and then wait for hours together no matter how far you travel or what your situation is. No one can tell what time the doctor comes in to see. They say we need to be there for 4 hrs but very likely to spend an entire day waiting in the lobby.

Its been a nightmare lately! I have not been able to schedule an appointment in months. Tried online, by phone and in person and nothing works. I ran out of meds and dont know what to do. This used to be a great place. I may try a different clinic.

Got in fast, got the services I requested and answers I needed in a timely manner. All staff I encountered were kind and helpful. Thank you Planned Parenthood.

Excellent experience.staff were highly professional and supportive. very comfortable environment.appointment was made at 1020 and was seen around noon, but was in and out once the service began.

Super friendly and helpful, I don’t know what I would do if this place didn’t exist. Grateful for planned parenthood, the staff and everything they do!!!

Don’t EVER call their on cal phone service, the people who answer are DISGUSTINGLY rude and don’t even give you a chance to speak. They are hateful, short, zero sympathy and have no time to speak unless you’re dying and then you need to go to the ER.Thank you for NOTHING, answering service.

Thank you for free breast check and pap smear! I needed the help. I barely had enough gas to get there so it shows you now broke I was.

Very unorganized.I waited 2 hours after the time I was scheduled, witch I think is Unexpectable because that puts me back in time with what I need to do.
