Dr. Shemesh and his staff are the absolute best! They take the time to listen and guide you through the best healing process. In 2021, I was looking for a Dr. that will not only take our insurance but that will listen and respect the natural / holistic approach and was so happy to find the Mind, Body & Spirit care practice. Our whole family sees Dr. Shemesh and nurse practitioners for various reasons, and we have all seen great results in our overall health. Plus, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful!

I have been a loyal client since 2015 or so and continue using conference calls for my visits now that I have moved out of Fl. I have been going to this provider for almost a year and it has been a wonderful experience, especially visiting the South Tampa location and having acupuncture done by Sabrina.Sabrina is an expert in her field. She has an extensive knowledge about acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Also, she’s beautiful both internally and externally. Her attentiveness, willingness to assist, and a tremendous knowledge about living healthy is that’s what makes me come back again and again. I do schedule my appointments in advance because her appointments are booked very quickly. Especially if you want a specific day or the time of the day. Plan in advance.Additionally, I prefer coming to the South Tampa office due to its staff being so friendly and helpful, and I always feel welcomed. It’s a great place to get your health in order. Highly recommended!

Kat has been absolutely great to work with for past 3 years since I joined this clinic. Every time it’s nothing but amazing experience from scheduling to the end of the treatments. My family including my mother in law, wife everyone goes there when Kat is working. She is a great listener, she cares for all of our immediate needs and attends us when there is 4 other IVs going on, she never forgets to bring us water…little things that patients like and keep coming back for. Coming here was a great experience. The ARNP took her time with my husband and I, and really listened to our health concerns. The office was calm and quiet, yet very comfortable. The office staff was polite and welcoming. I also appreciated that I was seen at my appointment time, not waiting for over an hour like most other doctor offices. This felt like a holistic experience rather than just being taken back for 10 minutes for a quick chat with a doctor and getting written a bunch of prescriptions. If you’re looking for quality care that takes your lifestyle into account, this is the place for you.

Great staff and health practitioners. I love their holistic approach to health ( and how kindly they treat their patients!) After starting to work with them, I will never again switch docs while in Tampa!

I have been Dr. Shemesh’s patient for over 10 years. He is brilliant and has a great demeanor. I love the fact that he listens to me and is very open minded about collaborating with me in my care. Other doctors are too arrogant to listen to patient’s ideas. Dr. Shemesh is an MD, but also passionate about homeopatic medicine (which encourages the body to heal itself). I believe in acupuncture, and he has an in-house team of acupuncturists that has assisted me in dealing with a couple of big issues. It is great to have both perspectives and resources. Dr. Shemesh accepts my insurance, and my insurance covers treatments and medications typically not covered in other practices.

Dr Shemesh has an incredible staff. They are extremely professional, they care, and they go the extra mile. Dr Shemesh himself… I have only had one meeting with him. I consider him to be very thorough, he was patient, and answered my many questions…he was personable, and I feel I am guided on the right holistic path for healing.

Dr. Shemesh and Johanna Lancaster have been game-changers for me. They are both so sincere in listening and in their desire to get their patients on the right path towards healing and better health. I feel so much better under their care and give them the very highest recommendation.

I feel its important to share my recent experience for those without insurance who are seeking pricing information and may be unfamiliar with how billing works. When I called this office to inquire about the pricing for a pap smear without insurance, I was given a price. However, I was never informed that an additional charge of $240.00 would be billed separately by a third party.Upon contacting the office to address this issue, I was informed that they cannot provide a total price since they dont know the specific procedures the doctor might perform. However, it is common knowledge that a pap smear typically involves sending samples to a lab. It would have been crucial for the office to disclose this information when someone calls asking for pricing, especially if the patient doesnt have insurance.I was seeking accountability in this situation, but unfortunately, I was only met with a response suggesting that I should have been aware of this information already. Its disheartening to encounter such a lack of transparency and customer care.I hope my review serves as a helpful warning to others who may find themselves in a similar situation. Clear and upfront communication regarding additional charges is essential, particularly when dealing with individuals without insurance.

Beautiful office, friendly and welcoming staff. Johanna Lancaster is a very caring and knowledgeable practitioner. This is the best experience I have had in a medical setting in a long time.

My hairstylist actually mentioned I should make an appointment with Mind Body Spirit Care. Come to find out they took my health insurance. Met with Rachael and we spoke about everything I wanted to accomplish by coming to this office. She has been amazing!

I’ve been receiving care with this team for a few years now, specifically with Cathy, Nurse Practitioner. I have so appreciated the care provided by Cathy, as well as the rest of the staff. As a nurse myself, it has been a pleasure connecting with Cathy, beyond my medical care, she has been someone who cares about me, all of me! It has been refreshing. I’m committed to Cathy providing my care, so much so that I continue virtual care after moving out of the Tamp area. In addition, the front office has been gracious and courteous when I call and followed up on all questions and concerns.I highly recommend the office and team!

Dr. Shemesh is a very caring, highly intelligent doctor. He takes much more time with his patients than most doctors to review prior issues and to discuss any concerns or treatments. He is very holistic in his approach, considering both traditional and integrative medicines. He is also open to discuss options that I have researched and gives a thoughtful analysis and recommendation on them. I have seen him for many years and highly recommend him.

On my first day of visit I was very impressed I was walked in a room where my blood pressure was taken and I was also asked about my last physical exam and mammo as well as my bone density tests and last visit with my PCP and my last blood work done. Then I was put in another room thinking that I will be seeing Dr. Shemesh but Michelle was the one who walked in, but regardless she did a good job talking about my ailments and the necessary supplements and treatments that I will undergo. My second visit I started with an acupuncturist who is also doing a great job. The acupuncture is much different of treatment compared to the previous acupuncture facility that I have had. I now have two acupunture sessions and scheduled for the 3rd. I am also scheduled to see Dr. Shemesh to discuss the supplements necessary to obtain optimum health based on my specific needs.

I have been looking for a more holistic and functional medicine practice since moving to Tampa and I am so pleased that I found Mind Body Spirit Care. Johanna has been amazing at both listening to my concerns, looking for the root cause of my symptoms and giving me practical lifestyle changes to incorporate versus just putting me on medication. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for a new doctor or looking to improve their health!

I have been going to this practice for about 8 years now. I was starting menopause when I started with the practice. After a few trials with creams, plant based estrogen along with reducing my cortisol levels with supplements and acupunture. I found real relief with Bio Identical Hormone therapy. I am very glad I stayed and worked through until we found a good treatment for my night sweats and mood swings. I appreciate the staff and how easy it is to make an appointment, get supplements and I feel that they care about my well-being.

Dr. Ron Shemesh solved life long issues Ive had in the first 20 minutes of speaking with me. Hes very knowledgeable and his staff is very welcoming and kind. Dr Shemesh is a thorough doctor and very helpful. He takes the time to delve into your medical history. Dr Chris is awesome. She is a very talented acupuncturist. I was terrified to try acupuncture, but Dr Chris is very kind and gentle and its helped my life so much.

Ive been going to Dr. Shemesh for over 13 years now. The integrative, whole-istic (mind, body and spirit) care is very different from a typical medical doctor. The professionals at this practice are highly skilled, intelligent and caring. Safer alternatives are always offered when any medication is deemed necessary. I highly recommend Dr. Shemesh and his team!

The practitioners at this place are amazing but i cant say the same about the rest of the staff. Dr. Shamesh was kind helpful as well as the NP Cathleen. The office manager, Sherry is extremely rude and spoke to me like i was some kind of animal because i was on the phone in the IV room. I did not see the “no phone” sign and she scolded me like a child and gave me a dirty look and she said i was rude for using the phone. There’s more than one way to get your point accross and definitely more ways to speak respectfully. I am also in the healthcare field and yet i have never spoken to my patients this way. This is not the only facility that offer these services and you can be sure i will not be returning to this office. Just because you are in the healthcare field doesnt mean customer service is somehow becomes unimportant!

I have been coming to this practice for over seven years it has become extremely different at this point the front desk is extremely rude 95% of the time very short with their patients, dismissive and rude the majority of the time. Dr. Shemesh is extremely difficult to get into and although I do appreciate the nurse practitioner She however is very main stream medical and doesn’t practice holistically too often. After Covid they have become extremely main stream with demanding mask demanding and you use have to use Antibacterial hand sanitizer and they come at you with a temperature gauge before you can even walk in the door this to me is not a holistic practice they do not protect those of us with a medical condition that are unable to wear a mask and you would think being a holistic practice they would know and understand the scientific facts that none of these things protect you from the virus which also has greater than a 99% survival rate. And they refuse to bill insurance for a lot of their procedures. And the prices are HIGH.

MY experience at Mind Body Spirt Care has been excellent, only wish Ihad discovered them 10 years ago. The staff is helpful and caring. They provide alternatives to regular medical/pharma approach.

Dr Shemish and Sara are great examples of professional care tempered with personal attention. You are their focus from the moment you walk in the door. I highly recommend Dr Shemish for holistic care and quality products.

I was going to the same OB/GYN DR for 15 years and by the grace of God she stopped taking my insurance so I had no choice but to find another DR....Sure enough I started with Mind Body Spirit Care (Michelle) about a year ago and I am doing so awesome....Michelle has not only helped me to better my body but my MIND as well...I am a 48 year old woman/Mom that started the perimenapause and was basically going crazy...Dr Michelle has TOTALLY HELPED and TAUGHT me to get thru this process....Everyone single person that works at the Carrollwood office if absolutely an awesome person but truly cares about their clients.
