Planned Parenthood - Northgate Health Center

This place is amazing, they have really nice and understanding physicians and nurses! They are so knowledgeable and explain everything to you. They are very caring, thorough, and try to make exams comfortable. I was so impressed. Its honestly the best healthcare Ive ever received. Ive had some terrible experiences at other healthcare places so its amazing when you find one like this. Would 100% recommend. They take insurance too and you can make appointments online. Thank you so much for all that you do!

Went there for a 10am appointment and didn’t leave until 2pm but I was very understanding of there new system that they have started so I wasn’t bothered at all about it . I don’t remember anyone’s name but every person that I talked to and that I worked with was very educated and nice, they answered every question that I asked without a hesitation. One of the best experiences that I’ve had in a while at any doctors office. 100% be going back in the future!!

Such kind, knowledgeable, and caring people. Ive always been nervous going to clinics, hospitals, etc and my nerves ceased to exist as soon as I spoke with the first person just at the front desk. This was my first time at any Planned Parenthood and my experience here could not have gone any better, speaking with everyone was so comforting because I could tell they cared about me and knew what they were talking about. I definitely recommend this location, I felt like I was in great hands being here.

I’ve always been a fan of planned parenthood for what they stand for and the services they provide, but can honestly say my recent experience with them deserves some recognition. The staff is awesome, and they make you feel welcome, comfortable, supported & heard. I felt I received better attentive care with them than my own primary care physician of 25+ years. Looking forward to utilizing PP more for my healthcare needs. Thank you for all that you do!

I had been coming here for years even after I moved 20 mins away because I liked the front desk workers and nurse practitioner. Unfortunately, the service has gone downhill in the last year. Even when I show up to appts early they have made me wait for 2 hours before being seen. Ive walked out a couple of times. Today was the last straw. I had called to schedule my depo shot and a separate appt for a check up week ago but was informed they couldnt be on the same day. I said thats fine schedule them on different days. Then I was told they could do it on the same day buI if I came in on Friday afternoon instead of Saturday. I took time off work, got there and waited 40 mins just to be told by a nurses assistant my depo shot is off schedule (not true) and that they didnt know what my appointment was for. I explained what was discussed over the phone and that my depo shot was not off schedule. They double checked and confirmed my shot could be done today but that Id have to schedule another appt for the other issue.A complete waste of my time. I walked out a final time today because I feel like they really dont care about their patients anymore.Im really disappointed because I dont want to see different doctor for womens health issues.Update: They reached out to me and made a great effort to resolve the issue and reschedule the appointment with me. Since then they have trained more of their staff to apply the depot shot. Their scheduling and wait times have drastically improved. I appreciate how much of an effort and sincerity theyve made towards improving my experience. Great people and organization.

Thank you planned parenthood. You guys saved my a** at the worst time. Thank you to the wonderful staff. The staff is really nice, understanding and cares about you. I was so scared and I am glad I came here. I feel heard and taken care of. Great clinic. They have everything you ever need. Sarah the medical assistant I talked to was so lovely. She made the process easier by answering all my anxiety ridden questions. I also was a nervous wreck and almost passed out (so sorry to the sweet girl who was helping me I was embarrassed of myself 😅) I have a super low pain tolerance. And they made me feel like I had options, and a voice. I kept joking I was the worst patient that day. But they were so sweet assuring me I was definitely not. So thank you again. PP. I can live my daily life again🩷

I had a great experience here. I was worried going in because I’d read some bad reviews from two years ago, but all my nerves were calmed after meeting with my nurse (Jade. J). Her calm and supportive energy made me feel safe and in control of my own medical decisions. I would 10/10 recommend this place. But, do call your insurance ahead of time to ensure they cover it.

If someone there to do a clinical study w you and offers you money dont go into it thinking you’re getting paid bc it’s a scam. They give you an unassigned card.

An incredible experience from start to finish with the staff at the north gate planned parenthood location. Mary at the front desk was so helpful, jade the medical assistant was so kind, Caroline the practitioner I saw was lovely. I felt so supported as a woman who was a little scared about the medical situation I was dealing with. The people that work here are incredible.

Went twice in the last couple weeks and I cant thank the medical and administrative staff enough!First appointment went wonderfully. The MA held my hand and was so kind and supportive. He is truly amazing at his job.ARNP Kim was also fabulous and had great communication and answered all my questions.Second appointment, I went in as an walk in to see if they had any cancellations that day. Luckily they were able to get me in that morning within two hours. I want to thank them again for helping me.Kind to me and everyone who came in, courteous, knowledgeable. Would recommend going here any day.

Best experience for my worst situation. My entire two visits here, from getting scheduled and being seen within the same week by the receptionists, to my in house visit with the medical assistant and clinician, was the best that I could’ve ever hoped for. They were all so kind and thorough, and they handled the entire process gently with extreme care. I really appreciate all of them, and I hope they all realize how grateful I am of each and everyone of them.

Had an appointment on 4/27 for an IUD removal. My local clinic wasn’t able to get it out so they sent me to this office. My medical assistant/nurse was named Maddie and she’s a really great person. I was terrified about the pain and she held my hand the entire time through removal. My doctor Melissa was equally great. She listened to my concerns and assured me I was going to be okay. They distracted me so well that I didn’t even notice when Dr. Melissa for the IUD out. They are a phenomenal team and could teach a masterclass in bedside manner. The front desk members were amazing as well. I didn’t catch the name of the blonde woman that helped me when I walked in but she was so sweet. When I checked out Florence helped me. She was a very sweet person who has a genuine care for people. This entire team was amazing and I wish I could take all of them to be my medical team forever.

One of the best PP I have been at, great staff, Cameron and Kimberley were professional and had warm bedside manners.Front desk staff was very helpful as well.

The staff at this Planned Parenthood are incredible! I have seen a different doctor each time due to scheduling availability and every time I feel like they are looking out for my medical safety while also keeping my lifestyle in mind, without judgement.

The staff here are so wonderful and respectful. I recommend PP to any of my friends who ask. They address any concerns kindly and fully. If I have questions about my care they are answered. Getting an appointment is easy and simple. Also their appointment text reminders are so nice.

The nurses and doctors at this location were very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. The receptionists however, made me feel as if I was inconveniencing them by interacting with them. After being made to feel uncomfortable for asking for help, they had me pick up my prescription at another location. I went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription and similar to another reviewer, they had absolutely no record of it in the system. I waited until they were open on Monday to find out what happened and the receptionist had never sent the prescription to the pharmacy at all. I just hope they can fix this ongoing issue so future patients dont have to go through this.

It’s planned parenthood. They’re always nice and respectful. What sucks is if you have an appt expect to be called back in 30-40 minutes. They’re short staffed and underfunded. But if you’re getting a blood draw or something “quick”, it’s not going to be. Keep that in mind.

The waiting room was clean and quiet. The receptionists were friendly and respected my gender identity. My nurse was amazing. I cant recall her name but she was absolutely fantastic. My NP was also very kind and eased my anxieties. 10/10 experience all around excepting a few hiccups with the online scheduling portal.

After the care of the wonderful staff at Planned Parenthood, I know that I will always come here for OBGYN issues.That is saying a lot, because I live in Olympia (2 to 3 hour drive). The care I received yesterday was so utterly genuine that even though I was suffering from a painful IUD ordeal, the fear and stress was significantly reduced. I had only gone to one PP the week before to get referred to this building, and they were all nice too! They hold so much space for LGBTQ people. It is touching to feel listened to! THE MVP of the day is Maggie P. They really let me advocate for my needs and made sure that my whole visit was as painless as possible. Maggie gave the most sincere care I have ever felt in my literal life. My Doctor, Paulen is a superhero! Many people tried at different clinics to do what they did. It was all done with more care than ever. I cant do anything but rave about this place! Even the front desk team of Shari and Flo were magnificent.Planned Parenthood is so necessary for peoples health! Especially if you are queer or a woman (or transpeople and non bianary) who just want to be listened to for once! I love you all, and THANK YOU.

A nurse practitioner at this location was very rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, and made me super uncomfortable. I felt like I was treated less of a human being.Otherwise, all of the other staff members were super nice and respectful. Its a great facility, but I feel like I was highly disrespected, with it being my first visit to Planned Parenthood I will always remember this bad experience.

Perhaps prioritizing who came first would be better than making people wait for an hour.

I cant express how grateful I am for this establishment and the people who work there.Im a college student who works very part time and if it werent for PP I wouldnt be able to look after my reproductive health.Ive gone in to get tested and for an IUD. Everyone I encountered was both professional and compassionate, which is a hard line to walk. And I never got the impression that my low income would keep me from getting what I needed.

I came in yesterday for a walk in to take an iud out. I understand that they couldn’t see me that day so I made an appointment for the next morning. I came in and there was no appointment set. The lady tried to blame me “well you said you’re going to the ER so I didn’t make the appointment!” I never said that. I said I want the appointment, but going to look at other urgent care places since it’s hurting me and was curious about a cancellation fee in case I found something sooner. I didn’t and came back at my appointment time, which she didn’t make. I’m really upset because I’m in a lot of pain and can’t even drive to and from with this iud pain

I used to love this office but for the last three months I have not gotten my medication but was billed for it. The won’t fix the problem with my insurance or answer my calls at this point. I am so disappointed in this clinic at this point. The billing center is absolutely useless as well and doesn’t actually call back.

Came in for a quick refill of meds. Got here 15 minutes before my appointment time. Spent 2 hours in the waiting room for them to ask me 5 questions and sign a piece of paper. Only to wait another 30 minutes for them to hand me my meds...This is outrageous. There were 7 people who had appointments after me who left in under an hour.Dont plan anything for the rest of your day after one of these appointments....Slowest service ever

I went to this place, I really like heres nurses and doctor. They consulted me a lot.But I took 1 test because they said its free. I told them I dont have enough money so if it costs me, I wont the test and they said its free so I took this test. But 1 month later, I got $245 bills from insurance company. They helped me to solve this problems but it didnt work and I need to pay that amount. I dont have enough money. What should I do?

The clinicians at this facility are truly wonderful human beings who made an unpleasant colposcopy as comfortable as possible for me. I would definitely return to this PP location!

I have been covered for 2 months with my new insurance, I have worked front desk at a clinic before, up on entering I was stared at like I didnt belong, I mean stared at until I was uncomfortable. They were all caucasian I am not. The receptionist then called my name and yelled , you dont have any insurance, which is highly unprofessional. I was embarrassed. I then asked the to check the eligibility website and the receptionist then looked at her screen and back at me and told me no. I felt racially judged, I felt demeaned and I missed my appointment. The whole point of PPH is to not feel excluded or uncomfortable, I experienced both at this location NEVER AGAIN. I then went home feeling defeated, and called my insurance, they then told me to report PPH because I was clearly covered. Please do not support this location I will be following up on my report of them.

The clinic does a lot with very little. I went here for my wellness exam and the staff was respectful, helpful, and professional. They took the time to listen to my concerns and referred me out for additional health care where necessary.

Want a great way to support this incredible organization? Utilize the host of medical services they provide instead of going to a costly hospital/private clinic and let your insurance reimburse them! You not only save money, but you help sustain Planned Panenthoods work. Also, Kimberly, the Nurse Practitioner at the Northgate clinic is absolutely phenomenal. She identified the cause of and established a course of treatment for the horrific cramping I was having every month... Something that the local hospital I went to twice couldnt seem to figure out after multiple (and expensive) ultrasounds.

Planned Parenthood has been a godsend throughout my entire life. Amazing people, doing amazing work! Quality affordable care by people who make you feel safe, comfortable, and confidently cared for.

They are incredibly slow, the walls are paper thin, and they arent good for much beyond getting birth control. Have fun spending an hour in the waiting room!Also, they do accept Medicaid.

Does anyone know if this location offers pain relief for IUD insertion? Local anesthetic or anything?

All of the staff are courteous and kind. I especially appreciated how each medical professional calmly explained what they were going to do before proceeding.

Everyone was so nice and helpful and made my situation a lot easier Maggie and clara were wonderful and the doctors are all so nice, great experience!

Kind and very accommodating staff. The front desk to the doctors were all knowledgeable and you could tell they were looking out for your best interest.

Denied birth control because teenager is sexually active.

Ive always made an appointment online and they get me in on time, theyre honesty way faster than my doctor.

Horrible place for those that only have medicade or medicare for their only insurance. On their website they say they except it but in reality they dont. Highly dont recommend going to this place or any other plan partenhood.

Had an appt and still had me waiting over an hour and a half to get my birth control

The waiting time just to check in is for an hour, if you plan to come here, plan for waiting for an hour in the waiting room, I am not coming back
