This was my first time getting hormone replacement pellets and also my first time doing Thermiva. They offer Biote and a lot of great cosmetic surgical and non surgical procedures. I am extremely impressed with Dr. Runnels’ bedside manner. Christy is also friendly and is very knowledgeable about their procedures and payment plans. They take the time to go over your concerns and are able to tailor the treatment to your needs. It’s hard for me to go to doctor appointments (especially gunk related) because of my anxiety, but they made me feel comfortable and at ease. I will be going back! I highly recommend coming here

I have had several treatments from Dr.Alexandra Runnels every one has done what she said they would do she is very honest .i had to cancel out on one treatment because i developed other health problems with my feet an Dr. Runnels refunded 100 % of all monies due yo me i give her an Aplus for being very honest an a very good person an friendThank you Dr Alexandra for all you help your an angle in a doctors coat .Stay safe Robert

I treated myself to a vampire facelift for my 50th birthday, and I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Runnels and the team at Scarlett Phoenix. Dr. Runnels and I had a thorough consultation prior to my appointment so I new what to expect in terms of procedure and pricing. There were no surprises--except to say that the experience was pain-free, and the results were so amazing I cried. No over-filled, overdone results. Just a refreshed, lifted appearance. I would highly recommend Dr. Runnels and her professional, personable staff.

Dr Runnel is amazing and finding her was the best thing I could have done to reach that next level of woman satisfaction. Dr Runnel is compassionate and her work is spectacular. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Runnels is absolutely one of the best doctors I’ve seen in a long time. And I have worked in the medical profession for the past 26 years. She spends time on understanding your situation and developing a customized treatment plan. Managed care and insurance companies have changed medical care into a “conveyor belt” approach to seeing patients but Dr Runnels provides the doctor/patient relationship that allows her to give you the best treatment strategy instead of just another pill or referral to get you out the door. And Angie was so knowledgeable about the procedures and extremely caring! What a refreshing experience! I will definitely incorporate Dr Runnels into my healthcare!

Dr. Runnels and Angie are absolutely amazing!! I was honestly apprehensive to receive my first procedure; fear of the unknown. However, once you walk in the door that all leaves! They are both very professional yet down to earth -makes me feel so at ease. I drive almost 2 hours for my appointments and it’s worth every second. Cannot say enough good things about them.

Loved this place from the moment I made my appointment over the phone! I have felt so comfortable the last three times I’ve been there. Never once felt rushed or like I was at a regular doctors office. Dr. Alex truly cares about her patients and their needs and it shows! Highly highly highly recommend! I wouldn’t even rate her a one star! I had the vampire breast lift done and she told me I was going to lose a cup size then gain and be more full than what I was. Well I lost a cup size but didn’t gain ANYTHING!!! I went back to see what else could be done, she tried to argue the matter that she didn’t tell me any of that and all she was going to do was repeat the process. I couldn’t imagine doing the process again and losing more. I was respectful and just said I would just take the refund . Dr. Runnels refunded me the money with a check and then proceeded to be rude. I told her there was no reason to get rude and she told me” at this point I can talk to you however I wanted to”!!! I don’t recommend her and she is far from being professional. It’s sad because peopleLike her make doctors look bad and there are good ones out there, just not her!!

Dr. Runnels and Angie are a dynamic duo! They are professional and intelligent but also have this unique way of making me feel safe and comfortable through empathy and humor. Im new to San Antonio and struggled with LS for 11 years. I was so fortunate to find The Scarlett Phoenix! Dr. Runnels has been tenacious in fighting this scourge with me. I will be forever grateful!!

I’ve received Botox, lip filler, and scleropathy services along with vitamin shots. My husband has been doing his testosterone therapy and also received a vampire facial with Dr. Runnels. She’s incredible! So knowledgeable, a perfectionist and just makes you feel so comfortable about every question and problem! Her office manager Angie makes everything so warm and vibrant in there too! Couldn’t imagine a more perfect experience every time I visit The Scarlett Phoenix! 10/10 recommend to any male or female!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at The Scarlett Phoenix! I used to have a hard time going to the gynecologist due to PTSD. That changed after coming in for appointments here and seeing that I was not going to be judged and seeing that they had compassion for my struggles. Every interaction has been positive and made me realize that the things I have been struggling with are very common. Everyone here is passionate about making you look and feel your best. I did the Vampire Wing Lift, Thermiva, hormone replacement therapy and botox. These treatments have been life changing for me. The hrt has helped my mood, weight, energy and so many other things that I thought I couldn’t get back. The aesthetic treatments made me feel comfortable in my skin again after an unfortunate incident. They are transparent about prices and I enjoy their membership options. I would definitely recommend checking out what they have to offer!

I love Doctor Runnels and the Scarlet Phoenix salon. Always a fun time and it’s so comforting to be injected by a doctor that REALLY takes her time with every detail. She’s a true artist, my lips look amazing From filler , my eyes look more “open” in the most natural way thanks to great Botox placement, my skin is smooth and tight from her expertise with the vampire facials! She is also one of the only 400 medical facilities in the U.S. with an emsculpt machine! Her office was kind enough to let me try it out for 30 minutes now I’m begging my man to pay for it! I left feeling tighter in my mid section after one treatment. Thank you to everyone on the Scarlet Phoenix team for making me look and feel my best!

Dr Runnels is the first MD to suggest testosterone only hormone replace due to migraines. It worked! I got off my daily migraine preventative medicine. Migraines are greatly reduced. Im very grateful to have found Dr. Runnels.
