From start to finish my experience was great, despite some reviews I read. Vanessa on the phone, was kind and accommodating, the MA (I wish I remembered her name) was so sweet and informative, and of course Dr Shields was great. She listened to my issue, and gave some peace of mind about what I had experienced. What I would say to anyone coming here is be patient. In my opinion, the office is very busy but worth the wait.

Dr. Molly Shields was amiable and did not rush my appointment. She took the time to listen to my concerns answer all of my questions. The staff was good as well.

Don’t waste your time here. The staff is rude on the phone, and they make it so hard to schedule an appointment for a pregnant woman. They never reach back out, you have to constantly nag and keep calling them.

I booked an Appointment on a day apparently all 3 or 4 doctors were working which caused room limitability.I got to my apt 15 minutes early to complete paperwork and sat in waiting room for almost 1.5 hours before I was moved to another room where I waited another 30 hours before I saw the doctor for 10 minutes.I was very frustrated with how long I had to wait and felt forgotten about

They treated my wife with no respect or care, they had poor customer service and the staff was rude my wife was 16 weeks pregnant stressing to get an appointment but they would repeatedly let her down.

Dr. Shields is a great personable doctor. She is kind, considerate and very thorough.

The worst place ever!!! My daughter’s app was rescheduled without her knowledge and shows up to the appointment where no one knows what it’s for. And the staff are extremely rude!! Do not recommend at all especially for first time parents

DO NOT waste your time and look for a different OB GYN. Their staff is so inhumane. I called to ask if Dr Shilds could see me this week as I am going through a miscarriage and their staff said she cannot see me until 2 weeks… not even trying to add me to a wait list for this week, as this is clearly an emergency. I am going through something so horrible mentally and physically and they didn’t even try to show a little of empathy. I come from a country where the medical staff will do anything to give you an appt or at least add you to a wait list for cancellations in case of an emergency. Even the doctors give you their personal numbers to text them or call them during weekends. Their appointments are not 5 minute talk with patients, they actually see you for about an hour or so to ensure all questions are clear. I thought Institute for Women’s Health was bad, this is much worse. I should have reviewed the most recent reviews before even calling.

Dr. Shields was very professional and kind during my visit. Im definitely glad Ive found a local OB/GYN since moving here and that Ive overcome my procrastination. Though Ive had one visit with Dr. Shields, she made my experience positive and simple, and the office staff is also really nice. Overall good and positive experience. Amid a lot of uncertainty in our world, its nice to be reminded that there are people that truly care about your health.

I love Dr. Shields,She is the best OB Dr. Around! She is so caring and really takes the time to listen and then will go out of the way to help you. She did my hysterectomy and has been my ob Dr. Ever since. My scaring all my surgeons from other surgeries have always been so impressed with my thin scaring & healing process they all say she did a phenomenal job. I could not say enough wonderful things about her.

I love Dr. Shields. I wish she works somewhere else. The wait on this office is crazy long. That’s another wait when you are in the waiting room.

Staff is always friendly. Dr. Shields has been great through my whole pregnancy and after!! There’s been a few appointments where I’ve had to wait quite a while, but most of the time I’m in and out pretty quickly. Would definitely recommend!

Dr Shields delivered my first baby recently. I like Dr Shields because she gets right to her job and straight to the point and if she doesn’t know she will tell you and research it and get back with you if it is relevant. It would be 5 stars but I consistently receive my test results entirely too late. Some of my results don’t show in my portal until a week later and some about a month. Past physicians offices had more promptness and I am not used to the late response.

I do not recommend Dr. Shields. In my opinion she was very cold during her appointments which made me as a first time mom very uncomfortable. She did answer questions and seemed knowledgeable but when it came to what mattered she definitely did not come through. Through Dr. Shields care I was not given any information or estimates on how big my baby was or any delivery suggestions or information. I brought up to her being induced and that is what potentially saved me and my baby’s life, because if I had tried to wait 40 weeks it would have been life threatening. I was carrying what would end up being a 9.9 pound baby, had a 24 hour long labor and pushed for 2 hours to try to get my baby out unbeknownst to the care team how large and dangerous this labor could have turned out to be. Thankfully the hospital care team pulled through but Dr. shields most definitely did not, I’m so glad she wasn’t available when I was induced.

Dr. Shields is phenomenal! This was my first time there and she was very thorough and listened. Brittany at the front desk was so sweet and very detailed with her instructions. Mariso (at the front desk) can practice being more pleasant. I stood at the front desk forever before she even acknowledged me and when she did, she reached for my yellow slip, but did not speak to me or even smile. Politeness and kindness ALWAYS matters. Also, the intake nurse (MA) was great and did an awesome job. Also, the lady that did my labs was very kind and patient with my veins. Overall, great practice!

I decided to go with another obgyn after becoming pregnant with my second child, as my former obgyn is nearing retirement and no longer would be doing deliveries. Based on reviews I went with Dr. Molly Shields and so far I love going to her. Shes patient, informative and kind. I never feel rushed or that my concerns arent addressed. Sometimes the wait times can be a little long but Dr. Shields is a popular doctor and when I go in there are several other patients there to see her; however, I can overlook that due to having great interactions so far. Ive also recommended my mother to her, who will be going to her soon.

Dr Shields made me feel incredibly comfortable! She listened to me as a human not a patient ! She gave me the impression she respected my desires for my health! She also presented herself as confident which made me comfortable especially knowing she will be operating on me ! I like how she spent time with me and how she saw my concern as urgent and ordered the necessary tests for further review of my medical status ! I was a new patient and she made me feel like I made the right choice in picking her for my female medical needs!

The office staff is always extremely nice professional. Dr. Shields is amazing and very thorough. She cares about what I want as a patient and answers all my questions. I wish I wouldve found her years ago!

Just seconds after arriving, my name was called. The entire staff, though busy, kept a pleasant demeanor. Dr. Shields is so understanding and listened to my concerns. She gave me information to read, some samples, and sent in a prescription to further improve my female wellness. Very pleased with my appointment there.

Had my first visit with Dr. Shields today for my second pregnancy! I’m a new patient of Dr. Shields, and I cannot express how much of a positive experience I had today with her,And the rest of her medical staff at the clinic. I arrived a little early for my ultrasound, and was able to be seen earlier than expected. Dr. Shields nurse (I apologize, as I don’t remember her name) was very kind and explained what my appt would entail today. Once I met with Dr. Shields, I could tell she was actively listening to my history, questions and concerns. I didn’t feel rushed, or my questions weren’t valid. I appreciated her transparency. She is very easy to talk to, and really listens! Look forward to being her patient throughout this pregnancy!

I would not recommend this doctors office to my worst enemy, the staff is extremely rude and prejudice. The office manager & the hispanic lady with blonde hair at the front are both rude & the manager upholds this behavior. I ONLY WENT HERE BECAUSE THE ER RECOMMENDED THIS OFFICE TO ME & After reading reviews I thought Dr. Shields would’ve been a great doctor for me, but she needs to reevaluate that staff! As a pregnant woman we don’t go to the doctors office to be treated bad by the office staff. ZERO STARS & I WILL NEVER BE BACK!!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Shields since 2017. To say she’s wonderful is an understatement. She does the most thorough exams I’ve ever had. She found some issues others have blown over and fixed them without any complications. She’s pleasant, her staff is always super kind, and I recommend her to anyone who asks!

I have never had a female gynecologist until now. Dr. Shields was a welcome change and made me feel very comfortable and confident in her ability to care for all of my feminine needs. She has a wonderful spirit and bedside manner that I loved. Kudos to her!

After having a bad experience at NorthEast Obgyn I was differently scared to go somewhere else.Being at WHTX was a very comfortable and friendly environment, everyone was super friendly. Comfortable environment all the way around. Everyone from the front desk/receptionist, nurses and Dr were warm, understanding and friendly. Waiting time was super reasonable and they all took their time to determine what my needs were and find the best solutions. Dr Shields is thorough and takes the time to explain everything that is going on.

Dr. Shields is amazing 10/10! She’s open and kind, does not make you feel dumb with any questions or concerns you may have and thoroughly explains any answers or procedural steps that occur. The staff was a 7/10, they didn’t book/record everything I wanted to get done at the appt when I called to initially set up the appt and then there was coding/billing issue. HOWEVER, they were nice, knowledgeable and quickly rectified both issues. I was also in and out fairly quickly, overall a good experience. I would follow Dr. Shields anywhere, highly recommend!!

Dr. Shields is a good doctor but being canceled twice myself & 3xs for my sister & 2xs for my mom is ridiculous. Their reasons being, the person who schedules surgery doesnt know how to do their job. Currently looking for another OBGYN & Office.

Longer wait than my other doctors but totally worth it. She is very personable and knowledgeable! Always takes the time to talk to you and makes sure that all your concerns are discussed instead of just trying to rush through the appointment like some other doctors.

Dr. Shields is very knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate. During my appointment,(which was actually just my second time to be seen)I was unexpectedly hit with a seizure. In most cases, the seizures take center stage, and my initial health conerns are placed on the back burner.However, Dr. Shields remained focused and continued to take her time throughout the appointment. She listened to all my concerns, answered all questions, and explained all treatment options thoroughly. But most importantly, she and her staff (Sandy, an Ultrasound Tech, ALL the medical assistants and the phlebotomist)made me feel safe and supported during my health emergency. (Thank you!)All staff members, front and back, are professional, yet personable. The office/clinic is clean and well kept. Wait time, from check-in to face to face contact with the doctor, is minimal. I would highly recommend Womens Health Texas and Dr. Molly Shields for your gynecological needs.

Dr.Shields is professional, efficient and thorough in her examination of any complaints. She has a very caring attitude and takes time to answer questions as well completely explain procedures of any treatment she recommends. I trust and like this doctor and highly recommend her for any General Gynecology needs you may have. If you need more specialized treatments she will give you a referral.

I went to see Molly because of all the good reviews saying she was a good listener. My experience was the opposite and I was really disappointed. She was nodding her head really fast saying ‘yeah, yeah’ the entire time I am talking as if she wanted me to stop talking. I was not rambling at all and kept my questions/comments concise because I know doctors are very busy.

This was my first time to come to Womens Health Texas and they made an excellent first impression! Unfortunately, I got lost and was 12minutes late, the lady at the front desk let me know I may have a longer wait time since I was so late, but that they would still see me. I only waited about 3 minutes before getting called to the back, they checked vitals immediately, than left the room so I could change into the gown. After changing I waited maybe 10minutes before I was seen by Dr.Shields; she was kind and very informative during the consultation. Checkout was quick and simple. I definitely recommend Womens Health Texas for all your gynecological needs!

Only complaint is the wait time. Usually have to wait an hour to see her and would prefer to do my labs while waiting instead of after the appointment.

Dr Shields has only seen me for free annuals not much interaction but professional. BIG issue with using her and Topperwein clinic is I Had to wait 4 months to get in and thats just unacceptable!

Very thoughtful! I was very impressed that Dr.Shields remembered a conversation we had last time I saw her, and thats saying alot seeing her only once a year. They have guidelines about who can come inside the lobby and wait but thats a plus to keep all moms and babies safe.

Office staff very professional including young lady greeting and checking in patients at door. Dr. Shields listens and responds to requests as needed in a timely manner. I also appreciate the fact that she is positive and laid back without talking too much. (Pregnant with first child) If you have additional questions use the portal and youll have your answer. Dr. Molly Shields was totally worth the wait... when I found out I was expecting I was 10 weeks along I waited to be seen till I was 14 weeks. But she is the best doctor to have she listens and problem solves which is great since I was marked as high risk pregnancy from the beginning. I’ve had it all constipation, eczema,morning sickness and extreme freak of hospitals and needles. Even had a combination of extreme fear of needles to lead to a seizure and Dr. Molly Shields and her nurse have gone out of their way to make me comfortable and have combined as much of my bloodwork as possible. SHE IS WORTH THE WAIT!!!!

I came to this location because my previous doctor was here but then she moved so I moved with her. Unfortunately it was inconvenient so I moved back to this location and I was very apprehensive about being with a new doctor who didnt know me but Dr. Shields Put those worries to rest. She is so nice, so professional, knows what shes doing, and is overall amazing. My sister will be seeing her for the first time in the new year.

In my 76 years of age I have never been to an OBGYN that has made me feel so comfortable as Doctor Molly Shields. As long as I have Dr Shields I will never dread going to have a check up again. I will be telling all my friends to go to her.

I have been with Dr. Shields for a year now, and she has seen me through several visits, a crazy surgery, and a scary diagnosis. I could not have asked for a better doctor. She is everything you want a doctor to be: caring, knowledgeable, and proficient.

I had a long wait but being new it took awhile to get my records together. It should have been sent by my primary and part was but the important things werent, I think. I liked Dr Shields, very nice and through.

I love dr shields. My problem is always with her office staff. Every time I come it’s always something. Last visit the girl brought me back with a complete attitude and didn’t even introduce herself. At my visit today the person called me back and then asked if she pronounced my name wrong. I told her yes and she stated “it’s a really hard African American name”. Now my problem with that is my name isn’t even African American, and as many Hispanic people, such as herself, that have more difficult names than I do I would have never found it appropriate to attempt to make small talk through an insult. My reason for being seen in the system was completely wrong from my actual reason. It’s unfortunate because dr shields truly is amazing, it’s also unfair that she has to be the one making up for her staffs mistakes. As a nurse myself, I know that our doctors deserve more than what her staff is giving her.

Dr. Shields was great. The office was inefficient.The M.A. never went over my medications. Much easier to write or type, rather than use a tablet, for check in.

Staff is rude and seems incompetent. Seems like they are there to get a paycheck. Being a nurse means you care and interact with people, if you dislike dealing with people why be a nurse and have a job that interacts with people. Doctors lack bedside manner, and this place schedules appointments that the doctors have yet to be on time to even though we have shown up 15 to 20 minutes early. I would rate this place a half star. This place was recommended to us, but now think it was recommended by a person that is having a bad life and wishes bad lives and experiences on others by coming here. I advise this place to make people feel welcome, treat people like people and not numbers. No mames.

Great Dr. Always takes time to listen, offer suggestions. Staff is friendly. Was 30 mins after my appointment time before I was taken back. But they were busy. I was extremely disappointed in Molly Shields. She dismissed all of my concerns and was so rude. You could tell she didn’t want to be there, just casually drinking her coffee. I went in for an annual and she didn’t even do the full exam. What OBGYN doesn’t do a breast exam???!! I asked for testing to be done to make sure I have PCOS and she told me that I did not have it. Well it turns out that I do have PCOS- if she would have listened to me I could have started treatment sooner. I found an OBGYN that is absolutely amazing and offered to do an ultrasound immediately. He found cyst on my ovaries and diagnosed me and started me on medications. I do not recommend Dr Shields unless you like a rude doctors that hates their job!! What a joke- stay far away!!! I will never go back. Thank goodness I got a second opinion!!!

Dr. Shields was great and helped me better understand my condition. The MA’s were also very nice and the environment was clean and inviting.

I call but none of the numbers I press gets me to a live person and the automated system does not eventually default to a live person, so when I canceled an appointment via text a month ago, it too never went through and now I have to drive all the way across town to tell you in person during my work hours, it makes their automated phone service absolutely useless.

Dr Shields is wonderful ! I find her professional, warm, sincere & up to date about medicine. Im grateful she is my doctor..

I really like Dr.Shield but today on July 20th 2020 I had an appointment at 3:15 pm and I didnt get into her examing room until 3:40 pm and Dr. Shield didnt get in to her room until 4:15 pm and the thing is that where werent that many people there and this is not the first time it has happened to me its been the 3red time I had waited for a long time.
