Ive been seeing Kim for different issues over the years and always received excellent care. Shes compassionate, listens to her patients, and has a caring manner.

Cannot recommend this place enough! The staff takes great care and concern in helping their patients with their healing journeys, and I have always felt as if they listen to and understand me more than the typical care specialist. If youre looking for an acupuncturist that feels like home, this is the spot!

I have a lower back injury (3 bulging discs) and sciatica as a result. My wife told me to try acupuncture after also trying physical therapy and chiropractic, and it has been life-changing, cutting my pain levels in half. I highly recommend Merriam Park Acupuncture - it’s been great for me.

Kelly Smith is an amazing acupuncturist - she’s helped me so much with my chronic low back pain (caused by an osteoid osteoma) over the past year or so and takes a “whole body” approach to her treatments, so she takes care of my shoulders, hips, and legs too instead of only focusing on the problem area. She’s been instrumental in reducing my pain and I’m so glad I started seeing her. I’ve seen some of the other acupuncturists here and they’re great, too. I definitely recommend Merriam Park acupuncture for anyone looking to try acupuncture or looking for a new acupuncturist. They take insurance and their prices are reasonable.

I saw Kim for my very first acupuncture session yesterday. The entire experience was pleasant and relaxing from start to finish. Kim was incredibly kind and warm, she took time to understand my needs and validate my feelings. Once the acupuncture started, her hands were gentle and I hardly felt the needles. I left the session feeling relaxed, calm, refreshed, and excited for my next session. I went to Kim for my GI issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, and chronic neck pain. While not all these problems will be fixed overnight, I experienced my first peaceful sleep with happy and joyful dreams in years. Prior to my session, my dreams were anxious ones often turning into nightmares. I went home last night with a heavy body, sore muscles (good sore, like after a good workout type sore), and a relaxed state that helped me drift into a deep sleep. Also, my bloating is WAY better today. I was quite gassy after the session and my clothes fit so much better today! Consider me a lifelong patient of this practice, I cannot recommend this place enough.

What a great place with healing hands!! I suffer from chronic pain, after coming here my pain feels like it escaped through the needles holes! I mean it’s not completely gone, but by far, this is the most natural relive I’ve ever had! Plus I fell asleep during the whole thing and that sleep was amazing!! Would definitely recommend!!

Just dont bother. Unorganized.Snotty communication from Therapist. Excuses from Therapist and not prepared for appt. with insurance approval despite confirming all that was set the day before. Wanted money $$$ for treatment for appt. when it was covered by insurance.Just a therapist and not my area doesnt strike me as professional.Colossal waste of time.Yet all communication before arriving was kind, helpful and informative.Zero info put on my chart tho. Hmmm?

Barb provides a very comfortable atmosphere and treatment style for the acupuncture novice. You can tell she truly cares about her clients health and is a good listener, as well as giver of advice. The treatment itself is extremely relaxing and anyone anxious as to whether acupuncture is worth a try can feel good about coming here. I will personally return, and have recommended to friends as well.

Dawn has helped me immensely over the past three years. We are working on balancing my hormones currently and I am having a much easier time after only one treatment. Last winter my immune system was really impaired and I seemed to get sick any time I was in a public gathering. Her treatments and cupping really helped me feel better. She even helped my son as an infant with his digestive and sleep problems with great success and helped me with my bodys stress response as a new mother. First time receiving acupuncture. I was nervous, but the atmosphere is very homey, and Kim made me feel very comfortable. I was getting back spasms every few months for the past 14 years, and most recently, in the worst flare up Ive experienced thus far- with spasms off/on for over 4 weeks. I cant say for sure it was the acupuncture or cupping, but since my first appointment, I havent had a muscle spasm.

I cannot say enough good things about Merriam Park Acupuncture. I’ve had two surgeries back to back. On my first surgery, I wasn’t able to walk straight due to the pain and inflammation; after my second week of acupuncture with Ingrid, I was able to walk straight with no pain. Now, after my second surgery, I developed chronic venous insufficiency. I couldn’t stand for more than 20 mins at a time due to the pain in my legs, I went back to Ingrid, and after our first session, I felt immediate relief. Ingrid has helped me immensely; she is not only a great listener that cares about what I have to say, but she also addresses my concerns in a very reassuring way. I’m glad to have found this place.

Adrienne is a delight and an incredibly talented acupuncturist. I’m no stranger to acupuncture, having gone for a few years to help with fibromyalgia, debilitating chronic migraines, anxiety, and carpel tunnel. Only when I started going here was I able to stop relying on NSAIDs, like Advil, because I’ve had a dramatic decrease in my migraines and overall pain. My supervisor at work even noticed I’ve been feeling better. Adrienne is a great listener and has an intuitive touch. Highly recommend!

Based upon the research Id done on my own, I have long believed that acupuncture would be something beneficial to me. I have now had several sessions with Ingrid, describing my desire to improve circulation and reduce pain. I have long been plagued by numbness in my feet and lower legs and pain as result of advancing age. The treatments Ingrid has provided are helping me make great advances in both conditions.But what I didnt come seeking and didnt expect is this fantastic elevation in my mood and in my energy. Not that either were necessarily lacking, but oh, my! I come out of these treatments feeling absolutely fantastic! So if nothing else, try acupuncture just to make yourself feel terrific. I have always been afraid of needles and have been skeptical of acupuncture, despite many friends and family members assurances that it would be beneficial for my body and my mental health. I worked with Ingrid at Merriam Park Acupuncture and I couldnt believe the difference acupuncture made for not only healing my neck injury, but my sleep and anxiety improved as well. Barb has recently helped me heal and find balance with my digestive and skin issues - things I have been struggling with for over 10 years. I felt comfortable with Barb right away. She listened to my concerns and helped me understand the root causes for my issues. Barb cares about my health, and in turn is able to teach me how to find balance. This is something that I really value and dont often find, especially in western medicine. I would highly recommend Barb and wish I would have found her sooner!

My experience with Barb has been great. I first called when I was feeling extremely frustrated coming off of 10 years of oral contraceptive birth control and having a few months of really irregular cycles. My husband and I were eager to get pregnant and my Western doctors just said I had to give it time, which was an answer I didn’t like. I wanted to help by body along and felt like that was a lazy answer from them. Clearly my body was calling for something.Barb and I met and she suggested a few subtle changes to my diet, supplemented with herbs, and biweekly acupuncture. She also taught me about tracking my body temperature and honestly had more conversations with me about the process of getting pregnant, after years of trying not to, than my health care provider. My cycles regulated after just a few short weeks, and once regulated, two periods later we conceived. Barb’s knowledge and expertise is evident. I came to her frustrated and insecure and her calm, reassuring demeanor kept me positive. Since getting pregnant I have continued my sessions and they are one of the best parts of my week.

I saw Adrienne Suess several times when my due date came and went. She provided acupuncture and cupping to help induce my labor (among a few other techniques I don’t recall the names of). Not only was it relaxing in a stressful time, but I am convinced she helped induce labor because my daughter was born two days after my appointment with Adrienne! She’s passionate about women’s health, and it shows.

This gem of local healing is definitely headed in the right direction!! Accepts insurance, even MA state plans. This medicine works wonders for my recurrent back pain, acute hamstring injury, and stress/anxiety/depression.
