Starting my review with a 1. My appointment was at 6:30am, I arrived at 6, and was the first person here. It is now 7:11, and I am still currently waiting to be seen and 4 other people have already went before me. I do understand patience, and that there is an order to things, but there is NO WAY that I should wait this long to be put into a room. The ladies at the front desk are currently talking about the attitude and looks of a patient which is unprofessional. I know patients can be testy, but dont openly talk about them in front of other patients.Update: My doctor is late for work, so they switched me to someone else. My nurse, Elizabeth, is really nice and thorough! She definitely made my experience better! The second nurse was also awesome. These 2 ladies made me want to give the place another try!
Doctors are good, only issue there is, is their restrooms are always dirty. Urine on floor on seats and today blood stains. Paper towels on floor. This clinic should be clean for the patients. And they dont clean right away once there notified
I want to say that the care in the respect that these employees have are absolutely wonderful I had had to get a procedure done and never had it done before and they did the most amazing job of explaining how it’s going on walked me through all the steps, and even during the procedure, the Nurse practitioner who performed it was absolutely wonderful and no matter how much it was uncomfortable. She made me feel like everything was going to be OK and that is what was the best experience a procedure I’ve ever had in I wanted to say thank you to everyone who was there who helped me with the procedure and keep doing what y’all doing because it’s absolutely amazing .
All of my friends and family have told me and my husband how exciting the anatomy scan would be, so we were so looking forward to it! I understand that the appointment is for checking on baby, but we were still excited to see him! The ultrasound tech rushed through my anatomy scan and did not really explain much. She left us with more questions than anything. I understand techs cannot tell you specifics but our doctor told us that she could at least have told us the baby’s size and weight, but she didn’t seem to have time for any of our questions. Her bedside manner was not there as she seemed more annoyed by our visit than anything. The other tech helping us was very kind and much more personable, she even asked us questions when the first tech left the room for a moment. I have never had a bad experience at UTMB before this. As a first time mom I left that appointment crying and stressed. My husband and I were very disappointed.
The staff is very professional and my NP was patient and very courteous. She gave me time to ask any question and listen to my concerns. I was very pleased.
If I could rate this a place a negative star I would!! I will not come back to this clinic nor do I recommend anyone else coming here. I have been dealing with some issues that really needed to be addressed today and I was told after waiting 45 minutes to be seen that the np/ doctor could not talk to me I needed to call and schedule an appointment to see the doctor. So basically forget how your feeling go home and just call back. WTH are you serious right now, wow. I would of been happy with a simple I know you were scheduled for a nurse visit but I will leave a message for the doctor about your concern and have them get back. I will not be returning. They have no compassion for what you are going through.
This is my preferred OBGYN clinic since I was a teenager, and the staff never fails to deliver insight, information, and comfort. I went in to get the Nexplanon implant the other day. All the medical staff were kind and super reassuring, and the woman who inserted the implant was very gentle with me during the procedure and explained the procedure and the aftercare very clearly, calmly, and confidently. Id rate more stars if I could. ♡

I went to this location in 1990s and its gotten so much better, I struggled as a brown skin Hispanic woman with mixed race 1800 Texas ancestry, I had Drs in friendswood and pearland Dr judice and Dr Gant in Pearland pediatrics Drs that were racist and they discriminated against me, but this location was very kind and they accepted me the way I looked , they cared about helping, I also found a wonderful gyn Dr Jackie Delgado in Pasadena tx that cared for me and she never judged me , its gwtting so much better in these areas
I went here for my son. Other than being forgot about a couple times in the waiting room because they were so busy, things were great. I was super comfortable with my care giver. The nurses were sweet as can be, and if I ever had an issue, they always took care of it. When it was time to have my baby everyone was congratulating me and they were really excited when I brought him in. Like I said, there were 2 times that i went in and signed in for my appointment and waiting for over an hour. I asked about it and they seriously forgot about me and didnt send my paperwork in that I was there. But still, I got good care. More than likely I will be going back if we get blessed with another member to our family.
I had my 3 week postpartum check up today and was not seen because I had my newborn with me. My baby is exclusively breast fed and it’s impossible for me to leave him with anyone. Unfortunately I don’t have any family here in Texas and my husband works full time! I was told it was a COVID precaution for the baby… yet my baby has been seen at the clinic for his vaccines and check ups. How is that any different? The baby was fully covered in his car seat and wasn’t going to have any contact with anyone. If I were to hire a babysitter (complete stranger) I feel like the baby would be at more risk to get the virus that way! He was soundly sleeping. I suffer depression and I wanted to talk to the doctor because it’s getting worse. Aside from that i had a very traumatic c-section and needed to have my wound looked at. I can’t believe that I wasn’t seen today. I understand that older kids who aren’t solely dependent on their mother would not be allowed but a newborn?! Ridiculous. I will never be going back to UTMB anywhere and will no longer recommend them to anyone. Horrible experience.
Had a bad experience with ultrasound tech there she was very rude said my son and husband could wait in the waiting area said the same first ultrasound apt have a 1 year old that will be apart of their siblings appointments my last ultrasound was rewind by her I told my doctor she didnt really seem to care I would switch providers but Im to far along ,do not come here for care they rush you in your appointments just wanna hurry up and get on to next patent .
I got there 15 minutes late for my appointment due to traffic from all the way from Dickinson and they couldn’t see me. The appointment was made almost a month ago, try to get hours from my boss and then now I have to look for another schedule. I just need to look for better Pediatrician. I will not recommend.
Great clinic. One of the best if not the best one Ive been to. I was seen right away. Didnt take too long too wait. The Nurses were all very polite and the Dr was great 👍
Dr. Jennifer Karner is an amazing doctor! She really cares about her patients. Sometimes you may wait to be seen for 45 min but it’s because she takes her time with her patients. She doesn’t rush you in and out . The ladies in the front and nurses are also very nice! I really like this place.
SCHEDULING NIGHTMARE, EXTREMELY LONG WAIT TIME. Ill first say that our provider was Juanita Ramirez, and she was a very nice and attentive NP, and the staff was very nice. But overall this place is just awful.1. We had an appointment for 9:45 that was made a over two months in advance. When we signed in, our wait time was about 30min, with two other patients in the waiting room with us. The waiting room is small, VERY dim lighted, one small tv in the upper corner that was hard to hear, and absolutely NO type of entertainment (books, toys, etc) for the kids. After we were taken back to a patient room, we undressed my daughter and her weight was taken fairly quickly. After this, we were told to wait in the patient room for the doctor to come see us, but we were NOT allowed to put my daughters clothes back on. WE WAITED ONE HOUR for Ms. Ramirez to finally come in and evaluate my daughter for her well being. The patient room was FREEZING and it was impossible to keep my daughter entertained and not cranky during the wait. And the reason for the wait? Ramirez said, Oh sorry for the wait, we ACTUALLY had our patients show up today!.....Um, are you serious?? what does that even mean?? When I schedule an appointment, I expect the facility to schedule patients in a time-slot-appropriate manner, in which a parent with a not-so-patient 1.5yr old can be seen and treated and not forced to wait over an hour to be seen because patients kept their appointments.2. On our way out, I went ahead and scheduled her 24mo well being four months later for a 10am slot, hoping this next experience would be better. TWO DAYs before her appointment I was sent a text reminder from UTMB and I realized they had the wrong time AND it was for 9 days later than the ORIGINAL appointment. So I made a call to correct it, and the lady over the phone (who was nice) said that my appointment slot was changed to a different date and time. The last minute reason: doctor is unavailable. I then asked why in the world I wasnt contacted or given a phone call about this and why a date and time was chosen without my input/consent, and the lady stated that they had sent a letter in the mail THE DAY PRIOR and that was supposed to be sufficient correspondence. I work, and cannot have an appointment in the middle of the day-especially if it is going to take 3 hours long. So I tried having the time changed and was told the next available appointment time they had before 11am was a month and a half later and that there was only one option at 7am. Anything else was after 11am would be three months later. -_-AWFUL SERVICE. I then immediately got off and am now searching for a new provider that will keep their appointments and actually care about customer service.
If you have this office beware the secretary and ultra sound tech they arent professional enough waited 1 hr 25 minutes for a appointment walked out .
Went to see the doctor on a Friday wasn’t too busy I was called to the back within 10 minutes and saw the doctors within 5 whole appointment was great everyone was friendly and acknowledgeable the only thing I will say is it takes the doctor a long time to get back to you which they were probably busy when I called so other than that will be going back
If I could give this place a zero I would. Terrible customer service. I had a great visit the first time with Ms.Tomeka. However, I was scheduled for a financial screening today and I called early in the morning to verify that the information I had was correct. After I was told I was cleared and it was okay to come in, I advised Bernice that I was driving in from my lunch and that I wanted to be sure before I made the drive as I could be doing something more productive with my lunch hour. Sure enough, as I arrived, I was told even though I was given an okay by Bernice that my information was not accurate for this “strict program” they had. So I sat and waited to receive the correct information again, on my lunch break. Once told it was correct I emailed it to Mecolina, who then rushed me saying she would be the only one available in 15 minutes so I would have to hurry up. Which the email was already in her inbox. Once she received the email, she then claims that she can not prints it’s contents. The two women I spoke to seem to have little knowledge in what they are doing. I am very disappointed with my visit here and will not be returning. What a waste of my time.
My daughter has been going to this office for 6 years. The appointment staff is courteous. The rest if the staff is incapable of interacting with each other, we continued to come here due to all of her records being at tbis office. This place gets worse every time we come here. Unprofessionalism and reviews say alot about this office. Stay far away from this branch. Long wait times to be seen and they just do not have the bedside manner required to be in the medical field. Horrible back office staff. Very disappointed to say the least about this UTMB office. We will never come back here.
My experience with the clinician was fine. However, their customer service is beyond terrible. I had to wait 3 weeks for the earliest appointment, received a confirmation email online 5 days prior, and then found out the day before the appointment that it had been canceled. I called to ask why the appt was canceled and was told that I had canceled it via the automated telephone call, to which I replied that I had never received any telephone call from them. It took FOUR different people looking at my information before someone finally realized that my phone number had been entered incorrectly in their system, even after each person asked for my phone number at least once to verify my identity. So they called the wrong number and someone else canceled my appointment. The first three people I talked to blamed me for canceling my own appointment, told me there was no way anyone else could have canceled it, and treated me like I was unreasonable for being upset that Im now going to have to wait ANOTHER 4 1/2 weeks for a new appointment. Nothing was resolved until I called back and said I needed to speak to a manager, and then I was actually helped and treated with some courtesy. Go somewhere where people actually care about your health and wellbeing and treat you like youre more than just a number.

I never got a straight answer from them. They’re favorite answer is “I don’t know” and just leave me in the dark like if it’s ok. This my first pregnancy and all three appointments that I’ve been to they can’t tell me exactly how far along I am. I’m so fed up with all these I don’t knows. I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE HERE!
I had my appointment at 2 that what the rep said come in at 2 to verify your insurance. I get out of work early to be there early just so i can wait ONE hour so i could be roomed. After that I had to wait god know how much longer after i sat there for an extra hour to see the doctor. I left and I will not be returning! At least have the workers say 2-4 hour wait before you see a doctor. Or plan a all day appointment.
AVOID PATRICIA DANYSH. Listen seriously this woman is not knowledgeable. She has the same exact responses for literally everything. Very incompetent and unhelpful when it comes to questions or concerns. She basically avoids them. The high risk nurses here are wonderful. As well as the ultrasound tech. She is very sweet and extremely well trained.
The only reason I gave 4 stars is really because of the wait sometimes. I think its fairly typical of an Obgyn office. However , I can say Dr. Karner is the absolute best she answers any questions you have in detail and she is always so friendly and positive. I cant imagine going anywhere else. If your looking for a good obgyn office this is a good one to go to and utmb labor and delivery was redone a few years ago thats also a plus.
Unprofessional Representatives that get your call to make an appointment. Rude front desk ladies. Long wait to make an appointment. Long wait to get attended. Takes seconds for a doctor to check your kid and like always they say the same thing to everything.
Quick, fast service! No wait lines, got me in & got me out in a timely manner! Staff is very nice & professional! Love it there.
The staff are friendly however the service is poor. I come to my appointments 15 min early just to wait a whole hour later. They put me in a room and I have to wait even longer. For instance my appointment is at 10:30 a.m. I show up at 10:15 a.m. and here I am still sitting in a room waiting to be seen and its 11:27 a.m..
My wife went there for her checkup, and the staff was so nice and professional with her.Totally recommend it for Women’s and kids.
Worse place to come if you’re pregnant. I almost died with my child due to them not detectin preeclampsia. Had to deliver extremely early. AVOID PATRICIA DANISH !! She’s incompetent!
