Absolutely LOVE Dr. Farris, and Natasha too! Had the most amazing experience with my VBAC in February 2022. I couldn’t have asked for a better OBGYN who looked at me as a person, and helped me to achieve what I WANTED for my birth experience. I also came to her very late in my pregnancy due to issues with the other hospital we were going to. I always recommend her the second anyone tells me they are pregnant. She’s extremely sweet as well.

Dr Farris is extremely kind, caring and respectful to your circumstances. I had to switch my pregnancy care to her when my pregnancy became too high risk for my midwife. She made the transition flawless and as perfect as could be. My high risk delivery was absolutely perfect thanks to her amazing care. I will continue to use Dr Farris as my OBGYN as well as the GYNO for my teen daughter.I highly recommend Dr Farris to everyone I know and love!

While I understand that it is frustrating to wait 20-30 minutes to be seen, the level of care and attention you receive when Dr. Farris or Natasha are in the room with you is unmatched. Dr. Farris and Natasha were amazing through my entire pregnancy and while I was laboring in the hospital for 3 days and they came to check on me multiple times each day. I delivered at midnight and Dr. Farris was right by my side for my delivery (there was a doctor on call at the hospital). She stayed with me after my delivery to make sure the baby and I were okay and she or Natasha came back and checked on us in the days after delivery. I cant recommend this practice enough. Personally, I will wait 30 minutes to see them for the quality of care I received.

Dr.Farris and her whole staff are amazing. I had been preparing for a natural birth for my entire pregnancy and she really cares about what her patients want. She did everything in her power and gave me all the time in the world to have the birth I dreamed of. That’s what makes her special is she will truly listen to you , give you her opinion but will absolutely have your back as long as you and baby are safe. Her practice is super busy and it’s pretty obvious why- she’s the first provider I have ever been too who never rushed a single appointment, never made me feel a certain way for being plus size and respected all my wishes my whole pregnancy and delivery. I have sent multiple friends her way as well and all of them have also been so happy with the level of care she provides.

I was planning to have my baby at the New Birth Company but when I went into labor too early, I was transferred into the care of Dr. Farris and went to Overland Park Regional. I had never met Dr. Farris before I got to the hospital -- but she was fantastic. She didnt try to talk to me during contractions, she waited. She explained to me what was happening and what my options were. She asked what I would like to do. She was gentle and kind. She worked hard to make sure I didnt tear. And she took the time the day after my son was born to talk to me about why I went into labor early and to reassure me. I highly recommend Dr. Farris.

Dr. Farris delivered our son two years ago and I didn’t hesitate to come back here when I got pregnant again. The care and expertise of not only Dr. Farris but also Natasha and Kelly is exceptional. These women are compassionate and really take their time to answer all your questions during visits. I would agree with other reviewers that wait time tends to be long sometimes. But, because the care and attention is so good, I accept this minor inconvenience.

Dr. Farris is a great doctor that made me feel comfortable and heard as a patient. She/ the clinic was informative but listened to me on what I wanted as a first time pregnant mom. My birthing experience with her was amazing and I cant praise her enough. I absolutely recommend her and look forward to continuing my care with her.

Hardly saw Farris, always saw the nurse practitioner. When I did see her she was nice. However they ignored my messages and never scheduled my postpartum checkup, or annual I tried to make there. Also didnt answer my, my husband, or my ER Drs calls while I was in the middle of an emergency c section 2 hours away.

Love working with Dr Farris. She has been nothing but great to work with. However, I am strongly considering changing physicians due to the front desk.Karen at the front desk is horribly disorganized and has been rude every time I talk to her. When I called to make my first appointment I told her I was a current patient of Dr Farris and needed to schedule my first checkup after finding out I’m pregnant. She didn’t listen to what I said and created a whole new file for me and tried to set me up as a new patient. She then had to start the process over and also make sure she transferred all the information from my new file to my old file. She also gave misinformation regarding my appointments and what is due next during my pregnancy.Ultimately, she has been nothing but a headache to deal with and I don’t feel comfortable or safe having my records handled by her.

Dr. Farris is very kind, professional, and respectful to her patients. Everyone who works at her office is very nice as well, including the midwife Natasha, Kelly, front desk ladies, and nurses. We just had our first baby with Dr. Farris and her crews’ help and we strongly recommend this office! They always took time to answer all of our questions. We had a lot of “unexpected” towards the end of the pregnancy but Dr. Farris and Natasha helped us through every step of the way. They definitely made me feel safe and comfortable while we had to make important decisions for our child. We can’t thank them enough!

Dr Farris is amazing. She is a great Dr, listens to her patients, and is genuinely concerned for their wellbeing. She is passionate and excellent in her care. I had planned a completely natural childbirth with minimal intervention but ended up needing an emergency c-section when my water broke and we discovered my baby had turned and was breech. Dr Farris took excellent care of me and delivered my baby via c-section in less than an hours notice. I felt completely confident knowing I was in her care. She took excellent care of me and my baby. The nurses who took care of me after surgery each said my incision was the cleanest and most precise they had ever seen. I highly recommend Dr Farris because she cares about her patients and she does her job very well.

I love this practice so much! Everyone is very caring and patient, I have never felt like anyone here has rushed through my care or appointments. They make sure their patients are informed, as well as doing all they are capable of to ease anxiety. Helping to grow confidence in you so you to feel safe and secure in your care and pregnancy! They’re never pushy with decision making at any point in the process, they provide options and discuss them together to come up with the best plan all around. Every member of their team as been great!

Dr. Farris delivered my son in April of 2022 and to say it was a horrible experience is an understatement. The last hour I was pushing she was in the room. She didn’t ask me how I was or talk to me whatsoever other than telling me to push and keep going. Once my son was born she refused to speak to me while I was asking question regarding what was happening.Suddenly I felt sharp burning in my perineal area and she had started stitching me without even letting me know. I begged her to stop but she didn’t say anything to me, she just told my husband to hit the epidural button and kept going. I could still feel the pain and continued to beg her to stop, but again I was ignored. Finally after I was still begging her to stop, she stopped, jerked on the stitches and said, “is that what you feel because that is tugging and I can’t do anything about that.” and kept going. Finally when she was almost finished and I was crying she gave my a shot of something.I’ve debated sharing my traumatic birth, but I think it is important to share this so other people will know what kind of person she is. I did not feel supported by her at all during this labor and delivery. She didn’t take into consideration any of my preferences and did whatever she had to do to get the job done the quickest. If this is something you don’t want to happen to you I would consider a different doctor.

The staff is really nice & kind . However, Each time I’ve come for my appointments I’ve had to wait 20+ mins to be seen ! Idk if patients are being overbooked or what but it’s a bit ridiculous. & I have not met Dr. Farris yet . Just been seeing the midwife . Idk how my delivery is going to go but I hope that it goes good & I can meet her before I go into labor.*** UPDATE: I met Dr. Farris before I delivered my twins & she is so sweet ! I felt secure about my delivery after talking to her & telling her about me & what type of birth plan I wanted . She’s so patient & kind! The staff was always kind to me & informative. I would recommend their office & services . I just hope they’ve gotten better with scheduling & the waiting time .

We love Dr. Farris! My OB before Farris was very dismissive and didnt listen to my concerns and requests. Dr. Farris listens to everything I say and is not dismissive! She takes my preferences into consideration and makes sure I understand all my options and her recommendations. I had to have an emergency c-section and Dr. Farris did a great job at walking me through what was going to happen and making me feel calm. She did a great job at the c-section and I have recovered very quickly. I highly recommend Dr. Farris and hope to continue seeing her for years to come.

I am appalled at the lack of professionalism and respect Dr. Farris chose to treat my wife with. I would highly recommend no pregnant woman choose to hire her for your care. There are other doctors who are actually VBAC-friendly and we were able to successfully VBA2C without complications in spite of her abusive terrorizing my wife because she didnt provide any medically necessary reason why we should have another C-section. It was like a child throwing a temper tantrum because they didnt get their own way was in charge of medical care for my wifes at-risk pregnancy.I cannot recommend enough that anyone interested in attempting VBAC to do your research, read the medical journals, and be prepared because Dr. Farris tried to mislead us and misrepresent the science to manipulate, coerce, and berate my wife into getting another C-section.

Dr. Farris is not only an amazing doctor, but she is also compassionate, caring, and empathetic. She is honest with her patients, takes time with them, gives informed consent, will go out of her way to service them, and she has a staff that does the same. I have never left a visit with Dr. Farris feeling anything less that respected and informed, even when I’ve brought up potentially tough or “taboo” topics. We have always had respectful dialogue - no hint of “I’m the doctor and you’re the lowly patient.” Myself, and several family members and friends, have received amazing, evidence based, attentive prenatal care from her and I couldn’t be more grateful. She truly changed my life and made me believe that a doctor could really have my best interests at heart. The KC area is lucky to have her!

Review update at 8 months pregnant. I moved it down a star after having to wait 40+ minutes for a few appointments to start. Great people, bad time management. As a working person, it makes it extremely difficult to manage my work/appointment schedule.I’m 6.5 months pregnant and have been going to New Woman since before I was pregnant. I like Dr. Farris and Natasha. They both listen to my concerns and answer allllll my questions without being rushed. They’ve fully explained processes and why they are doing certain tests. I think I’ve called one time and not had someone answer but they called back before EOD.

I had my first appt here with high hopes. As a high risk patient I left sadly disappointed and I’m tears. I saw Kelly she was awfulI was waiting 40 min to be seen; spent another 30 min going over new patient paperwork I sent In electronically and provided in person With the cma (whoWas very nice and caring) I saw the “midwife” Kelly who spent maybe 20 minutes asking me the same questions I went over with the cma. She even said “you got a lot going on” before even introducing herself. 1 hour and 40Minutes after my appt time she says she will be back because she is running behind and will see another patient and come backTo me. I started crying Bc I lost my last child he lived only a couple hours and I’m super nervous I was hoping for a plan and someComfort - I decided I wanted to leave before she returned being there for nearly 2 hours and getting only 20 min of time leaving with no answers The front desk lady ended up telling me that this happens a lot with Kelly - I know she wasTrying to be helpful but in the waiting roomWith people in it she discussed loudly about how i lost my son at 23 weeks- I was embarrassed Bc they openly discussed on the phone how I told them Kelly treated me. She was inattentive she didn’t seem to he listening and rushing me. I will not be back. I’m sure Dr Farris is great if you can see her …. Otherwise I was not impressed.

I would highly recommend Dr. Farris! She truly is an amazing doctor like everyone says. If it were not for her, I can honestly say I would not have had a successful VBAC! She was there when I needed her to be and stayed with us for the entire 4 hours of pushing. She was calm the entire time, helping work through what I needed to do, gave me all of my options at all times and encouraged me to advocate for myself. If you are wanting a VBAC, or just needing an OB who truly cares, you will not be disappointed in your care from Dr. Farris. You just dont see that type of doctor very much anymore that cares so much for you and I am so lucky to have found her as my doctor.

I personally feel heard and cared for by Dr Farris. She doesn’t rush the appts and hears my concerns.I’m sad to read the reviews from those who didn’t have a positive experience with her or the office. If choosing Dr Farris, be prepared with your own list of questions and concerns. I transferred to her office at 30 weeks, so I was used to another doctor initiating the discussion and what things to expect- which wasn’t always necessary.

She’s the kind of doctor that you would travel no matter how far it was to the hospital she is working at so that she can deliver your baby. I’ve had a negative experience with another doctor with our first child and I switched doctors for our 2nd child and I chose Dr. Farris and I learned that you don’t have to settle for less. YOU choose you’re doctor, you’re not obligated to stay with a doctor you don’t feel comfortable with and I’m very grateful for her, she made me very comfortable and she was very compassionate and genuine. Definitely going to see her again whenever we decide to have our 3rd baby! Pregnancy should not be a negative experience, especially when it comes to your doctor.

I was anticipating meeting Dr. Farris based off some of the reviews... The visit wasnt bad even though in the end of it, I felt like she wasnt as concerned. I ended up having to follow up about my results and had questions. I didnt feel like the Dr. was as compassionate about my issues over the phone and I still have unanswered questions/concerns. I also received a bill from Quest because the staff did not give my insurance information to them. I knew something wasnt right when the amount was higher... So pay attention to third party billing, I bet her office filed a claim on their behalf.

Terrible service! Lack of urgency almost to the point where it seems they don’t care about you at all. They don’t care enough to get back to you even when it’s an emergency. If you’re even have an appointment good luck seeing Dr. Farris because she is hardly there or care enough to try to talk to you herself. Instead shell just have everyone else handle everything. Also if you have an extremely urgent matter that needs address you better pray to god, Buddha, or whoever you pray to that it’s not a Friday because they’ll be too busy planning their weekend plans to address your needs.

Blessed to be pregnant again, and breaks my heart to hear from my current doctor all the things that should have been done or tested during my first pregnancy. My miscarriage was preventable. Once I delivered, I received no follow-up care, contact or was able to schedule an appointment with Dr Farris.
