Planned Parenthood - Mount Vernon Center

I recently had an appointment at this Planned Parenthood location scheduled for 9am. Unfortunately, the staff did not arrive until 9:35am, which was quite frustrating. Once I was inside the office, everything continued to be extremely slow, even though there were only two patients, including myself.I have great respect and admiration for the work Planned Parenthood does, but this specific location seemed unusually slow and did not manage appointments in a timely manner. I hope they can improve their efficiency to better serve their patients in the future.

I made an appointment for 10am and wasn’t seen until 11:30am because there was only one person working. I would have rather been told that the wait time was 90 minutes so that I could have left and rescheduled my appointment, but I was just told there would be a bit of a wait so I stayed. The nurse and clinician were wonderful, but hopefully in the future this planned parenthood location can let patients know ahead of time when there is an unacceptably long wait.

I used to like this place when I was younger and had a real good gyn. However I gotten older , my mobility has gotten bad, and I simply do not understand why these clinics cannot Accommodate the elderly, the disabled, obese, etc in terms of exam BEDS instead of tables??? People like myself cannot climb up like a monkey on these tables.So I stopped going altogether cuz its a big waste of time.Plus the urine tests . People get a certain age , or their health changes where they cannot pee in a tiny cup no more. Another reason I stopped going. These clinics are also a one size fits all category. They cannot accommodate the obese I gotta be real. Its so unfair that these types of society are left out in the cold when their life changes and get older.

Why make an 11:30 Am appointment if I have to wait until 1:30 pm to see a doctor ?🤔🤔🤔 what’s the point of making an appointment , if I won’t be seen by my appointment time especially if I came in early ?

I had an appointment to get an IUD, it was early in the morning on Monday so not many people were there. The waiting room is very comfortable and clean, purple chairs (adorable). After filling out some info and signing health wavers they called me in to see the doctor who was very sweet and smiled 99% of the time. (RESEARCH! DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE! The doctor appreciated and was very pleased that I was aware of my own body and that I was well informed of my decision.) After asking me some common GYN questions she gave me some pain killers and left so I could undress (only from the bottom down). When she came back she brought a friend, my GYN from my regular doctors office! She was there to assist and I was so glad it was someone I knew and trusted. They both talked me through the whole process and my old GYN even stood next to me. I liked how the doctor covered me everytime she wasnt working directly down there to make sure I wasnt all out there. They made sure I rested for a bit afterword and spoke to me before I left. Now that I am feeling better I am very happy with my decision and that I went to Planned Parenthood! (With medicad it was all FREE!)

I went on Tuesday, February 14 at about 5 pm and the person who attended me was very rude, she left me waiting outside when she noticed that I had only gone to get my birth control pills, previously they had told me that I could come in at any time to look for them, I explained to this person that my English was not very good but that she came for my pills and she left me waiting without even answering, she just looked at me in a bad way, then I went in because someone came out and she said that someone was going to call me on The next day no one called me and I couldnt get my pills, Im going to go to another establishment since its close to my house, it has an incorrect attitude

Connie and Eleanor are the best! By the way, is the number for this place still working? I tried calling here and it says the number is out of service.

The clinition was rough with me and never once stopped to make sure I was ok or apologized despite the many times I cried out in pain during my exam. She was brash and I didnt get what I needed.

The worst clinic, I came today for my appointment and it was closed. I missed the day coming here because I live in the city.

Who is in charge of this office? They are never open on time and close really early the staff need to be changed

Worst clinic ever they do everything backwards I swear.

Extremely long wait times no matter how many people are there or what you are there for.

Staff over the phone were very rude and insensitive.
