I just got cut off from testosterone because I didnt come in recently I think(I dont want go that far out because of covid and anxiety.) But as far as i was aware they wernt taking any appointments because of covid(which I only found out because my mom called. I had set up an appointment months earlier and was never told and would of been very angry if I went there to be only told they wernt taking face to face appointments.)but I guess thats changed now. Honestly I feel I should be more upset about the loss of the testosterone gel but Ive been on it for about 4 years now and the number one thing I wanted gone never happened which was getting rid of periods. Sure blood was minimal enough to not wear pads but was still there and every month I would get painful cramps still but was hoping it will be finally be gone but nope. I feel like Ill be better off with the pill or something to stop it. Which I probably wasnt taking enough testosterone but it kind of feels great not having to worry if I taken my testosterone everyday of my life now. I dont own a car so going to Minneapolis from a cab every three/six months gave me anxiety and even more so with covid right now. And with how much poor reviews you already have I think its better that I dont continue to go back anyways. The one good thing I have to say was the nurse and receptionist was really nice whenever I went there. Didnt exactly dislike dr feldman but I didnt like her either.

I have been in therapy here for five years, and my therapist and the staff are concerned about my well-being. They like to examine the thoughts and beliefs that lead to your choices, and help you figure out better ways of making choices to promote self-care such as journaling, having a strong support system, and staying connected to people. I have never had any issues with personal information, and I have never had issues with insurance, except when my insurance company itself is playing hardball with me. I thoroughly enjoy coming, as they help me stay whole.

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin?Ill start with the positives. The staff was friendly. I didnt feel like I was in danger. Thats about it.Origionally, this wasnt even my first choice of clinic, but I ended up here as a sort of compromise with my family (who were apposed to me going to a informed consent clinic for my hormones). I called in and was put on a waiting list, where I stayed for about four months. When I finally got an appointment, I was informed that even with insurance, appointments with a therapist would cost me $700 dollars out of pocket for every hour. Yeah. $700. My therapist was fine. I mean, Ive had better, Ive had worse. Hed say he was going to call when he had room in his schedule to schedule out appointments, but he never did and Id always have to do it myself. The reason I was there was to talk about my transition, but He always wanted to focus on my relationship with my mother. If I wanted to talk about my mommy issues, I could have gone anywhere else and payed a fraction of the price. After what seemed like way too many appointments, he finally scheduled me with a doctor, insisting that she was very thorough, and would go to great lengths to make sure everything was in order and safe before prescribing me hormones. He even mentioned that this doctor was known to give people full cat-scans before giving patients the okay. When I met with the doctor, we reviewed my medical history gave me a quick check-up and ordered a blood test. That was it. The fact that I had never even had so much as a pelvic exam didnt seem to be an issue with her. There was certainly no cat-scan. I took the blood test the same day and it took her 2 weeks (her assistant told me she had been out of town) to get back to me and tell me that everything looked good. I came in later that week and she prescribed me hormones on the spot.I ended up having an allergic reaction, and called in with inquiries about changing the delivery method. Once again, doctor wasnt there and didnt get back to me until two days later. When I came back to her office, she ended up prescribing me injections, gave me verbal, readers digest style instructions on how to do it, and sent me on my way without any notes. Oh and she also told me the wrong needle size, which resulted in me going to 6 different pharmacies looking for syringes that apparently dont even exist, which was frustrating to say the least. The pharmacy tech at my neighborhood Walgreens was worlds more helpful and informative than my doctor, and frankly a life-saver.TLDR: Basically, Ive been wasting my time, my money, and my energy and I hope nobody else makes my mistake. Youre probably better off at Family Tree in St. Paul.

I always recommend this clinic to anyone whos transitioning. The people at the front desk are always helpful, and Dr. Feldman is very knowledgeable about hormones and what would be the best option for /you/ and goin into detail on application or injections. Theyre also very nice and the clinic in general is a very nice, small, homey place, and its nice thar theyre doing video calls due to covid right now as well so that I dont have to go out for an appointment! Ive been going here for 5 years and ive never had a single bad experience, at least none that was something they could control. I highly recommend getting on the waitlist if youre looking for an accepting, knowledgeable clinic to start transitioning, or for gender therapy!

This happened a couple years ago: I waited 5 months to be told that I was ~too crazy~ to be on HRT without intensive therapy. (At that time I was seeing a therapist weekly, and it was working well for me.)Also Dr. Feldman told me I wasnt presenting as male because I was wearing gender-neutral clothing (sweatpants and a t-shirt). She was rude overall. Even after all this time I am still shocked by how bad of an experience I had here.ALSO ITS CRAAAZY EXPENSIVE!!!Go to Boynton Health Service instead if you are looking for HRT and have mental health issues or are non-binary/gender non-conforming. Informed consent is where its at. Also, there isnt a crazy waitlist. (When scheduling an appointment at Boynton, they will ask for your UMN ID number, but if you arent affiliated with the University just tell them you dont have one and they can schedule you anyway.)

I went for a month to see a psychiatrist. He was looking for problems and assumed that things of my past that Id long since accepted were affecting me now. I also never received the lab results from my testing there. And to top it all off, they charged me an exorbitant amount. For nothing. I solved my problems on my own. Absolute waste of time and money.

Lots of back and forth and unnecessary lying about insurance. Youd think a speciality clinic would be more professional about getting prescriptions covered. Ill be taking this to the board.
