Planned Parenthood - Milwaukee - Capitol Drive Health Center

I was a bit nervous about going to this clinic after seeing the other reviews, but most of the staff are wonderful and kind people! The doctor I saw was very sweet and happily answered every question I had. I did have to wait a little bit extra because another person came at the same time, but the additional time was hardly anything for the quick and quality service I received.

Dr was super rude and mean to me when all I was asking for was clarification on results & further explanation after she gave me information that made zero sense! Was gaslighted & told I can go elsewhere & I can leave. Never been treated so bad by someone in this field in my life ! She was very dismissive & condescending. When I asked to speak to a manager , I’m sure nothing was done about this & I know she’s done this before simply because this was all unprovoked. Only was asking questions and not to mention she came back in the room to further treat me like this. I left more confused than I came !

Due to COVID, you arent currently allowed to bring guests with you to appointments so I had mine waiting in the car. I got checked in and the receptionist let me know they were running a bit behind and I would have an additional 20-30 minute wait. That was fine and I appreciated knowing ahead of time. I was able to have my guest leave and go do things in the meantime while I waited. For my appointment I had Mel (clinic manager) as my main contact. He went through my concerns and general health questions first and we chatted about mutual interest. Hes super caring and outgoing and made me feel very comfortable and safe. I had at one point mentioned I faint easily with blood and he remembered that for later on. When the nurse practitioner came in, she was a little rushed because she was the only one there for the lunch hour and still running a little behind, but she took good care of me, explained several different issues and fixes, and also was helpful with current events. She noted theres a 300% increase in syphilis in our area and asked if I wanted to be checked for that just in case. That test is a blood draw, so her and Mel both came in for it. He held my hand and chatted me up to keep me distracted and she quickly got my blood on the first try. Afterwards Mel gave me a Kool Aid and waited until I was okay to stand. I also needed care, so they gave me the medication before I even left and a call with results in 7-10 days. Ive noticed some older reviews that are more negative, but this clinic has totally turned a corner and I think Mel has done a great job making it a wonderful location for care!

The staff were extremely nice and I had no wait time. My major issue was the nurse who was handling my care. I asked for clarification on my options and she laughed at me before she responded, giving me only one option of treatment I was not comfortable with. So I left without getting any help with my health problem. I will never come back here.

Ive been going here for almost 4 years (before I was even sexually active, actually), and the staff have never been anything but kind, informative and competent. Receptionists are always super sweet and helpful. Wait times can get a little long, other days you can basically walk in. Being able to schedule online is a plus. Great resource.

Gave a friend a ride to this location for two days straight. Online it says they accept walk-ins so we arrived @ 2pm on Day 1. He was refused and told to come back the next day for walk-ins after 11am. Okay fine. Go back Day 2 @ noon and he was told he couldnt be seen because he needed an appt. When he said he was told to show up for walk-ins after 11am, she just shrugged him off and said the other lady was wrong. No apology or attempt to schedule an actual appointment. She just wanted him gone bcuz he was distracting her from the very loud and very inappropriate conversation she was having with a friend of hers who had walked in right after us. It was so important, in fact, that she totally ignored another walk-in who was CLEARLY ill and in need of care and just kept on clucking away like nobody was standing there. Well never know if the doctors here are any good bcuz on both days the receptionists were so rude, incompetent and dismissive of patients needs, that my buddy will never go back. From what I observed, I have zero confidence in this locations ability to provide quality care bcuz they dont give a damn about first impressions or their reputation AT ALL and they dont treat patients with the respect and dignity they deserve.Thank goodness my buddys insurance cards from his new job were waiting in his mailbox after this foolishness. We left this trifling place, grabbed his cards and I took him to a walk-in at a REAL medical clinic in Wauwatosa. Got a great primary doc while he was there too. Quality staff. Excellent care. Zero shenanigans.

Ive been in there several times and the wait time wasnt more than 10 minutes but yesterday I have an appointment at 12:30 I showed up early because if you dont show up early the petty girl at the desk say you have to reschedule so im waiting 10 minutes go by 20 minutes then 35 minutes go by if I wanted to just sit around that long to wait for an appointment I would have no life I have things to do and then when I was like why is it taking so long and why is she going before me she said her appointment was before you her appointment with before mine the one that starts at 12:30 and now its 1:05!!! so that would have meant that I would have had to wait another 15 to 20 minutes after her appointment was done for me to go in there so I left total waste of time wont be going back

Made an appointment and got out there no nurse was there to see me so they had me see a virtual healthcare provider- that long process- they told me to come back two days later, I arrive and they did not provide my service for me how unprofessional that they made me drive all the way out there to waste my time both times, I mean both times and didn’t even care.

The staff are always so kind and helpful, you always feel welcome and cared for.

Horrible the wait was an hour even with an appointment thats was schedule early morning

Only downside is a long wait time, sometimes up to 45 minutes.

The lady at the front desk is very rude and slow.
